Lovely venue, though too many tables crammed into the space, it is a business so I get that.
Waiter was attentive, though restaurant was not busy, early Monday evening, two other sets of diners that I could see.
Started with crab gumbo which was tasty and filling.
Then onto Oxtail Mac and Cheese, and this is where the disappointment came.
Having overdone it adding a roti skin to mop up my gumbo, I decided to doggy bag my main.
On warming it the next day, I found that the OXTAIL inside was about 6 scraggy ends of no more than 1cm a piece.
I understand that the meat needed to be deboned for this dish, but please, the meat did not cover the bottom of the dish, it was just dotted in places.
This experience was a treat for myself and a friend.
As Caribbeans we expect hearty food and I felt that I have not had the feel of eating oxtail as I would have expected.
This dish could have been amazing with proper execution.
Give me good food and i will pay the price, on this occasion the price was not justifiable.
