Everything was nasty ! Spent over 100 dollars and the forgot one of our sides for the large meal. Got chicken and waffles . It was more skin then meat. Gotten the chicken pasta, wasn't spicy at all. Also nasty. Gotten the large fried chicken meal meat looked as tho the fried cold chicken cause the meat was pink. The baked chicken was gross. Weird taste. Dirty rice gross ! Canned yams gross. Kitchen doesn't look clean. Black man n the back had no gloves on cooking the food. From out of town and would never recommend this place !

We’ve visited Soul Tasty several times over the years, and we’ve never been disappointed! Easily some of the best soul food in the state. On this last visit we fell in love with their salmon rasta pasta - they even stuff the salmon with crab and it was SO good. Grits just like you get in the south and super cheesy mac. I wish I lived closer to their delivery area because I would order from them all the time! Always a treat for delicious comfort food.

This plate was $17. Since I ordered with uber eats it was $22. Not worth the money. The portion is small, food was cold, plantain was oily and soggy since it was sitting in the oil. Mac and cheese wasn't the best. It had a weird taste to it. The corn bread is basically cinnamon corn bread.

So I was heading back to Brooklyn and saw the Salmon looking good in one of the other reviews. I got the stuff salmon lobster. This is extremely different. However my only complaints was that it was little sweet, I couldn't taste the lobster and didn't like the plantains. My boyfriend didn't really like his rice but said the chicken was good. We both also like the lemonde. The food also came with cornbread which was cool but i didn't get chance to taste it.The owner or worker not sure which one was friendly and gave us suggestions of where to go. He also gave a free drink if the food was posted on social media. I loved that business mindset when it comes to promotion.

Went for the first time, and food was amazing. Had a hard time choosing what to get because everything looked good. Took that first bite and knew the hype was real. Definitely a great spot to get food if you’re in Stamford. Customer service was good and the food was ready quickly.

This restaurant is amazing! I’m from NC and finding food from home that is actually made right has been impossible. I drove an hour to get here and will definitely be doing it again. Those collard greens are perfection. The gravy for the shrimp and grits is fantastic. Mac and cheese is on point. Bbq chicken wowed my kids. This is a favorite spot now!!

Flavorful fresh and friendly staff what else could anyone ask for? For sure will be happily making the hour drive again!

It's a Velasco Thing

Google
First time ordering so we kept it fairly simple. Ordered chicken fingers fries and Mac and cheese with cornbread. The food was good the price for what we got though I thought was a little pricey. But overall the food we had was good.

Yelp
I recently ordered a catering order from Soul Tasty and had such a seamless experience. You can place your order online on their website and the communication was super easy. Pick up was also an easy process. We ordered half trays of baked chicken, fried chicken, green beans, bbq ribs, Rasta pasta, and sweet plantains. Overall some of our favorites were the bbq ribs and the fried chicken -- those were so tasty! We were a little disappointed with the Rasta pasta, especially since we've ordered Rasta pasta in the past for take out and it was completely different from the kind we ordered for catering. Other than that, everything was great and we will likely use Soul Tasty again for catering!

Yelp
Food was so good. Don't miss out on this spot. The service was solid and helpful. And the ambiance was superb, right next to the park. Can't go wrong. I'm here in Stamford for the next few nights and you already know I'm gonna be coming back

Yelp
2nd take out visit. As good as the 1st but different. Grits were more familiar tasting. Last time they were completely smooth and this time they were grittier. Both excellent. Other menu items also good. Will be there again.

Yelp
Soul Tasty has been a regular spot for me in the Stamford area for the past few years. I like to keep it consistent, grabbing their entree with the mac & cheese and candied yams sides. Those two are match made in food heaven, I promise. The fried chicken's my go-to main, and it's pretty solid, especially if you're generous with the hot sauce. Visiting during lunch hours, I noticed they had a $5 fish sandwich, so I decided to give it a try. While the sandwich was flavorful, the tilapia carried a pronounced and lingering fishy taste that lasted well after I finished eating. I paired all of that with a giant, delicious container of Kool-Aid- because, why not? Overall, stick to the classics, and Soul Tasty won't let you down.

Yelp
CT lacks good Soul food, but this place is on the right track! Hennessy Wings are a favorite. They are not on the paper menu or listed in the restaurant, but they are available when you order online. Delicious!!! The Chopped Bbq (pork) is my usual go to. I loved it when they first opened, now I must admit I doctor it up by adding a little ac vinegar when I get home. Fried chicken is good and it travels well. The pork chops are yummy. I don't eat potato salad, but it has mixed reviews from friends 'n fam... not consistent. String beans are mixed with carrots and were surprisingly good. Greens are typically good, but also inconsistent, sometimes a little too salty, sometimes sweet. Mac 'n cheese is always great!!! Black eyed peas, Yum! Yams, also Yum! My only issue with Soul Tasty is consistency. You can taste the difference when different ppl cook. Most times it's great, Sometimes it's just good. I think they may have trouble finding help, but the customer service is usually on point! Seems like that's one thing that the owner stresses. Really appreciate that! Even with some of the inconsistencies in the food, I am still giving this place 5 stars. They are one of the best Soul Food restaurants in Connecticut and I want them to continue to succeed.

Yelp
I randomly came across this spot looking for a place to eat near Stamford Hospital. I was in a rush to get back to work so I didn't look at the menu. I ordered fried chicken spicy with Mac n cheese during lunch. After viewing it afterwards I think it was supposed to come with a spice cake ‍. The spicy chicken didn't have enough flavor for my liking, didn't taste like it was marinated in buttermilk or anything. The Mac n cheese tasted authentic. I might come again and try some other items on the menu, or I might not.

Yelp
Ordered food today for my family and the food was sooooo good. The collard greens, Mac and cheese, yams and whitings. Omg felt like I was at grandma house. Definitely will be back!!

Yelp

Yelp
I had the fish with greens and Mac and cheese..please skip the fish as whiting was tiny and not very good. Wife had the chicken and waffle, waffle was dry and chicken was decent. I would not return.

Yelp
Visited from Jersey and the chicken and waffles were delicious. They're were nicely seasoned and fresh. I went in around 11am on Tuesday and was the only one dining in. Most people were doing takeout. I loved the art work and decors both outside and inside of the spot. For those driving to this location is seems as if there are limited street parking available. All in all I would make the trip for Jersey again to try other items in this menue. I recommend anyone from Stamford try this spot if they have not already.

Yelp
The food here is so dang good - like family recipe, Thanksgiving dinner good. If you read no further, bottom line, the food is definitely worth a visit and the customer service is 10/10. Stamford is an odd area. There's dozens of Italian restaurants, a couple Mexican and then one of every other culture so there's not a wide variety but there's options. With that being said, not all food is good food and the food in Stamford is hit or miss. Well Soul Tasty is definitely a hit! The fried chicken was so flavorful - if you say otherwise, your taste buds are broken or it was a different chef. The flavor was in every bite of the meat and not just the fried skin. The crunch was still present after we walked back to our hotel. All Black people make greens different so this is preference - take it as you may but personally, I do not like overcooked, sweet greens. I don't care what your Big Mama does, I don't like it BUT Soul Tasty found the perfect balance between sweet and savory. The greens were seasoned and had depth to the flavor. They were not just diabetically sweet - still overcooked in my opinion but I ate every bite. Now the mac & cheese...again everyone makes it differently and I will say this one was more traditional no frills mac but really tasty. The noodles were soft and there was ample cheese throughout so there's not much to complain about but I will say that I would have appreciated it just a bit creamier. While the chicken was still crunchy by the time we bit in, the mac & cheese was a bit stiff. The cornbread was unique but so good. It was on the sweet side but definitely had baking spice (think Fall, nutmeg, all spice etc.). My husband loved it. Being from out of town and not trying to door dash my life savings, Soul Tasty is conveniently located walking distance from a couple of hotels. You can eat in the restaurant, I think there were 2 tables and a bar top with chairs - max 10 people could fit inside, I'm guessing. The area is moderately shady so just be mindful of your surroundings if you walk. There's a gorgeous park (Mill River I think) that is around the corner so have a picnic. To top off my positive experience, the service is IMPECCABLE. Whoever owns this restuarant, I hope you read this. The young boys you having working are so polite, courteous and have better customer service than 99% of adults I come across. It is incredibly commendable and such a joy to see young black teens learning about entrepreneurship, customer service, proper food handling and developing a good work ethic. I will absolutely be back next year for the food but I will also be back just to support a Black owned business that positively impacts the youth. Kudos!

Yelp
Had their lunch special which include one protein and two sides, plus corn bread. I got the fried catfish with Mac and cheese and rice. It was good, nothing memorable, but I finished the plate. The price was around $11, which seemed fair. The rice needed some loving, felt like it was out for too long. Customer service is good but it's better if you call ahead because you will have to wait. Some protein is cooked to order. Even though there is seating, when I was there most took their food to go. The place did look like I could have some spring deep cleaning.

Yelp
Order lunch on Friday fried fish Mac and cheese and greens side order of fried shrimp. 1st fish not crispy seemed like it's made in advance and reheated. Shrimp was to hard only thing I enjoyed was the macaroni and cheese. In my opinion the fried food should be made to order.

Yelp
Soul Tasty recently catered an event for the Greenwich Historical Society celebrating the Juneteenth Holiday. There are no words to describe how great their food was! So many people, of all ages, were complementary of the food. The fried chicken was a huge hit. But I watched with delight as people tried foods they had never eaten before. Yams. Collard greens. Rasta Pasta. All of it was consumed with delight. The food was so good that so many patrons asked for the name of the company so they could return on a different day or have them cater other events. I have been going to Soul Tasty for years. It was a privilege working with them and sharing one of my favorite spots to eat with the people of Greenwich (and beyond). Oh....and the desserts were on point!!! The peach cobbler and banana pudding rapidly disappeared. There was even family trying to prevent their son from having a third piece of that moist red velvet cake! These are good people at Soul Tasty. Get down there if you have not been before. You will NOT be disappointed.

Yelp
Here in CT I'm missing some good ol' Southern Comfort food. I'm glad I was in the area and close to Soul Tatsty. I walk in and they were just taking out some fresh fried chicken out the grease. So, I decided to order a 3 piece fried chicken with Collard greens and the Oven baked Macaroni and cheese. Before I confirmed my order , I asked for a sample of the Collard greens. They were delicious with no meat at all leaving the full flavor and seasoning of the Greens.. . I decided to eat there even though it was a lil steamy inside, but not enough to stop me from staying to eat. Will ,brought out my plate and I first bit into the fried chicken that was so juicy, tender and seasoned all the way to the bone. While the Baked Macaroni and Cheese had a nice golden brown crust and as I dug into it , the cheese was melted perfectly clinging to the Macaroni as I lifted my fork. Cornbread...Not pictured. The reason the cornbread is not pictured is it smelled and looked so good, I bit into it as soon as I saw it. The cornbread was moist, sweet with a hint of nutmeg. I left it for last like it was dessert. I also tried the "Crack Juice "Lemonade Koolaid which was fire. I'm glad I was able to find the Soul Tatsty, it's definitely a hidden gem ! You'll also notice a photo of what I'm going to order the next time. Chicken and Waffles !!

Yelp
I have been coming to Soul Tasty since they opened, and I used to be a huge fan. Unfortunately, my last three visits were terrible. Most recently I picked up baked chicken that looked like it had been reheated 3 or 4 times, barely ANY edible chicken on the bones. As if that wasn't bad enough, I immediately got violently ill. I hate leaving negative reviews, but I am so disappointed at how badly Soul Tasty has gone down hill

Yelp
I love to try new Soul food spots, and this one was on my list. I walked into this place one because I was in Stamford but also because I was hungry, and soul food is about flavor and also about fulfillment. THE FIRST THING I LOVED when I walked into the place was they had a working tablet and credit card machine. The second thing I loved was the fact two men were working; there were not many people in the kitchen preparing the food and interacting. The one in front was amicable and down to earth, and the music was banging. The third thing I loved the most was that everything on the menu was in the restaurant. So this is what I ordered the lunch special with Fried Pork Chops sides was collard Greens and Macaroni & Cheese. Also, I ordered extra Macaroni & Cheese with Shrimp & Grits. So the fried pork chop was nice and big with the right amount of fat around it. It was lightly fried; when I bit into the pork chop, I was like, wow, this is great. (RIP to my dad) It tasted like my dad's cooking and made me cry because it reminded me of his cooking. I finished the pork chop first, and man, if the bone was meat, it would be gone. The macaroni & cheese was to die for it had the right about of seasoning. The cheese was a generous amount in it, and it was delicious. The collard greens were well seasoned and clean but added some ham hocks or smoked turkey. The shrimp & Grits is delicious; instead of the mini shrimp, add the jumbo shrimp. The cheese and the creaminess made it exquisitely delicious. I give this place 5 stars, and I will be bringing my wife back to try it soon.

Yelp
I have ordered from here several times and there is no consistency in the taste of the food or the portions. my last order included burnt, mush yams, overly sweet, potato salad that was overpowering with vinegar and barely cooked potatoes. the Mac & cheese has never been a hit, but the biggest issue is the lack of consistency. Unfortunately, I have no more chances to give after this last order. Disappointing because many of us don't always want to travel to the city for authentic soul food but I guess we have no choice. Sincerely, , so disappointed

Yelp
Soul Tasty is a nice cozy southern restaurant. We all know that Covid is still out there so we have to be extremely careful when venturing outside. I felt comfortable and safe in this restaurant. The staff were wearing their mask properly and they had on gloves. They also had a touchless system to pay for your food. Of course I took my food to go and it was still piping hot when I got home. I ordered the dirty rice, candied yams and Hennessy wings. Everything was nicely prepared and the Hennessy wings had a nice kick to it and I'm not a Hennessy drinker but I loved the wings. I also had their fried fish and their breakfast with their cheesy grits. Its definitely worth the trip.

Yelp
I was getting my car fixed and noticed Soul Tasty across the street. I had been craving soul food so I decided to try it. I'm happy I did! I got the baked chicken, greens and Mac and cheese. The baked chicken was falling off the bone and the Mac n cheese was delicious. The greens were a little sweet but good none the less. The highlight of my dinner was definitely dessert. I had a slice of the carrot cake and it was DIVINE. Perfectly moist with an airy cream cheese frosting. Will definitely be back to try more of their food.

Zoey L.

Yelp
I went to Soul Tasty's and they messed up my dinner order, giving me baked mac n cheese instead of the dinner plate I ordered. But a very polite worker named Leroy took the time to hear my situation and made me reconsider my mind about ordering here again. He was very respectful and even made sure my food was hot and ready. Thanks to Leroy, my order got fixed, and I left satisfied.

Yelp
I am not easily impressed, especially when it comes to food. Since being on Yelp, only 3 establishments have ever gotten 5 stars from me and I'm glad to add Soul Tasty to the top 4 and they ain't 4!! I've always put my money towards black or other ethnic based restaurants. I know the barriers these owners broke down to set up their business and I'll always spend my $ on them. Now that the world is waking up to stand in solidarity with the black community, I expect you all to also open up your wallets and do the same. Popular blogger, cteatsout curated a list of black owned restaurants with help from some awesome ladies on Twitter. I happened to be in Greenwich as I read her list and came across Soul Tasty. I called and immediately fell in love with the energy from the guy over the phone. I placed my order of mac n cheese, candied yams, whiting and sweet plantains. It was take out of course so I had to go pick it up. As soon as I walked in, the gentlemen who owned the place were so warm and friendly. I got to chat it up with them for a while as my food wasn't ready. As I waited, I was impressed by the diverse clientele and happy their business made it through the pandemic, but the storm is not over yet. They still need our dollars. Also the food is AMAZING!!!!!! If it was not for this diet, I'd come here once a week. Nonetheless, I implore you all to dine here. You'll be in for a treat.

The E.

Yelp
Never seen a restaurant that changes multiple times a week. Placed an order and received basically no sides. When I called I was told because I ordered a lunch special . Meanwhile none of my orders lunch special or not came with container unfilled. This is my last time ordering with them. I give them business everyday and this is the thanks get. Customer lost. They should be embarrassed to send out the order they gave me.

Yelp
I've used Soul Tasty for two catering events at my school. Even though there were very large orders, the service was great each time. They delivered the food hot and on time. The food was delicious and folks are already asking men when I can order it again. Chicken, ribs, collard greens, plantains, green beans, peach cobbler and banana pudding were ALL great! They are very professional and accommodating. I look forward to working with them again in the future.

Yelp
I've been ordering Soul Tasty for a few years now and I think today might be my last time ordering. Let me start off by saying that I have never actually dined in and all of my experiences have mainly been delivery and a few take out occasions. Coming from Harlem a few years back, my wife and I wasn't expecting anything spectacular from a soul food restaurant in Stamford, CT. To our surprise, Soul Tasty turned out way better then we'd imagined. The baked chicken...bangin. The Mac and collard greens...bangin. Candied yams...bangin! With the exception of the fried fish, the majority of the fried items were an over breaded so we didn't really order those items! Aside from the food, what we found to be really impressive was how delivery didn't really compromise how the food appeared or tasted! We enjoyed Soul Tasty so much that we'd place orders multiple times in a week (sometimes even in a day). Whenever we'd have guests it was a no brainer to order Soul Tasty...and the guests loved it! Every so often you might get a mix up with the order but it wasn't nothing crazy. Wrong thing gets delivered and you either go to the restaurant to get it fixed or reach out to Seamless and they'd take care of it. As the months went by though, wrong orders started to become more of the norm. A side would be missing this time...a whole meal would be missing next time...if you ordered something they didn't have they'd just send whatever. You could order a dinner, which is supposed to come with 3 sides...they'd send 2 all while charging you fully price. Then the food quality became hit or miss. Items were overly seasoned and either too salty or too sweet. Damn near inedible. So in addition to not getting exactly what I ordered, what I was getting was poorly made. In my most recent order, aside from a whole meal and 2 sides missing, my wife found a piece of egg shell in the Mac n Cheese. I can live with missing items but shell in the Mac is completely unacceptable. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I'm sure this was just an honest mistake but at this point all signs telling us that we need to take our business elsewhere. As much as we tried to still give them some business despite their consistently incorrect orders and decreasing food quality...it's becoming very apparent that they just don't care anymore and because of that, the integrity of their food is suffering. Maybe in the (distant) future we'll try them again. Hopefully, there will be improvements. But as for right now...I'm thinking we're done.

Whitney M.

Yelp
We had Soul Tasty cater our Faculty and Staff Appreciation lunch for over 100 and they did not dissapoint! Everything about it was great from the delivery to the portions and the taste. We have used them before and always have been thrilled with our experience. We would absolutely recommend using them for an event if you want delicious soul food.

Saige S.

Yelp
We ordered a tasty box with fried chicken and a side. They gave us one actual fried drumstick and then boneless chicken tenders. What the heck? Wouldn't go there again even if you paid me

Yelp
Amazing southern cooking packed with flavor. I first found them on Instagram when i saw mouth-watering pictures of their wring wednesday Hennessy wings, and just had to try them. I called and the guy who helped me was awesome. Since then I've tried a number of menu items, including the chicken sandwich, which comes with a delicious tangy sauce. Next time I'll ask for more of that. The fries are addicting and you get a huge portion. The cornbread is a little different, with a noticeable cinnamon clove flavor that makes it a little more like a dessert. The plantains are the best around. I keep missing Rasta pasta thursdays but it's on my list to try next. Look at the pictures on Instagram and you'll see what I mean

Yelp
Miku is very consistent with its high quality fresh food. Nice people and a friendly atmosphere

Yelp
Had the baked chicken with collard greens and candied yams. Each order comes with a piece of corn bread. I don't like corn bread, but this one was decent. Not at all dry. The baked chicken was very good and flavorful. No dry white meat! My two sides were also good.

Yelp
I did delivery with Soul Tasty and was very pleased with the food and delivery. I ordered a bit late and so they didn't have some of the items I ordered (I understand). However, the food that did arrive was so flavorful and clearly had love put into it. I had pretty much everything on the menu because the prices were so reasonable and I wanted leftovers for the next day. There wasn't one thing that I didn't like. The fried Oreos were a bonus, too! I would absolutely order from Soul Tasty again. The reason for four stars was simply because some of the items that I ordered didn't come in but I had to contact Grubhub for a refund on those items. No big deal, I ordered late.

Yelp
The owner and his family are filled with child molesters and drug dealers. I wouldn't spend my money here if I were you

Yelp
Was pretty bummed about this place. Read a lot of good things, so my fiance and I made an order. Their stuff was perfectly good and exactly as ordered, but my order was pretty much entirely wrong. Wrong meat, wrong sides, wrong everything. Obviously that's a huge bummer, especially as one of the sides was traded out for something I straight up dislike (Candied yam hater here) and the other side was entirely infected by candied yam juice, so that was really the only flavor going on there. The meat was ribs, which were overcooked. Not inedibly so or anything, but it was nothing impressive, and they did not taste like much. I'm from the south, so I guess I might be chasing a soul food high that I'll have a hard time fulfilling in the NE, but everything was mid in addition to being not what I ordered. I do want to try here again some time, though. I have heard consistency is a problem and maybe I just ordered on a really off day, I dunno.

Yelp
We were on our way home and wanted some comfort food as a break from a long drive... We found Soul Tasty through Yelp and were sold by all the yummy photos of fried chicken and mac and cheese. We came in and the cashiers were super helpful and polite. We ended up ordering a small plate of fires + 2 chicken wings and another small plate with mac and cheese (+$1 extra) and baked chicken. The chicken wings could have been a bit crispier, but the baked chicken was delicious. Soul Tasty gives you a huge amount of food for the prices they charge. Support local businesses!

Yelp
Soul food near the heart of Downtown Stamford. This place is not shy on salt, so buyer beware!!

Yelp
This review is for the take out - dining in experience might be different. We ordered take out dinner Friday night. No problems with delivery which was done through Grubhub. I got chicken and waffles as my main dish. Chicken was tasty, but waffle was dense and soggy - it would be perfect at the restaurant, but while delivered, it was just heavy and soft piece of dough - not great. But again, chicken was fine - but then one piece of fried chicken thigh and a waffle for $15 - not a great deal. My daughter got fried chicken sandwich, and she was praising it - her chicken was also very tasty. We got a few sides. Large sweet potato fries order was rather small (same size as regular fries) - and was lacking any crunch whatsoever. Fries were okay, but you could squeeze oil out of them. Mac'n'cheese was not bad - nicely spicy. Dirty rice was a disappointment - it was sweet and not spicy at all. Fried Oreos for dessert was a satisfying sweet bite. All in all, somewhat of a mediocre experience. We might try some other dishes another time, or maybe just visit restaurant when it will be possible - but for now, I have no recommendation for you. If you will get a take out, beware of all things which might become soggy - they will.

Yelp

Yelp
I would normally bur the delivery service from grub hub sucks ass!! The food is great but the disgruntled delivery person will never have me to order from this place again.. this isn't the first time this has happened.

Yelp
Good food. I've only been in the restaurant once and usually get take out. Just what you need if you're looking for some indulgent food.

Yelp
Stopped by just before they closed to prep for lunch and grabbed a quick bite. This corner joint is kind of tucked away a few blocks from really bustling thoroughfares in downtown Stamford. I got two honey butter chicken biscuits thinking that one definitely wouldn't fill me up - wrong! For $4/each + tax, I got two massive, juicy chicken breasts that were fried to perfection and stuffed between a delightfully flakey, sweet and savory biscuit. 10/10 highly recommend.

Yelp
It's ok had better but try it out the fried chicken is average nothing that surprise me .

Updating my review. Big props to the owner Will, for reaching out and addressing my original comment. I love when a business owner takes the time to hear their customers out! I went back for lunch today and had the fried chicken entree. Now THIS is what Im talkin' bout!!! Tasted great, portions were huge and I wanna fall asleep in my office. THAT'S what soul food is supposed to do to ya lol

Yelp
A true taste of the South! The Mac n Cheese, Yams and dirty rice was amazing! I'm not sure what kind of BBQ sauce they use , but my God, best flavor EVER!

Yelp
5 stars for great food & fantastic service. This spot has some exceptional collard greens & the Mac n cheese is crusty and gooey and delicious...everything you want. The fried chicken came in the form of wings--typically I like having a bit more variety, but the crust on the wings was super flavorful and the fry wasn't too heavy so I didn't have any complaints! The inside was also so juicy for wings, which tend to get a bit on the dry side. Definitely don't skip on the potato salad, it's got a great balance. Lastly, the cornbread. Oh my god. Never thought I'd be into cinnamon in corn bread but they proved me wrong. Delicious & buttery and thick, sooo good I could've (and would've) eaten an entire tray.

Yelp
What's better on a Sunday than some soul food. So today I decided to try a place I've been interested in checking out for a while. "Soul tasty", it did not disappoint. I went with the Mac Chicken sandwich, which isn't actually listed on the menu, but I saw it on their Instagram page and it looked amazing. A really big boneless fried chicken breast topped with Mac and cheese, normally it comes with sauce of some kind but I opted to skip it. It was fantastic. Enough Mac and cheese spilling over the sides to have on the sandwich and as a side dish. My dining companion choose a dinner plate with chopped bbq pork shoulder, potato salad, Mac and cheese and cornbread. The potato salad was delicious, and I've had a lot of potato salads in my day. The pulled pork was slightly sweet at first and then hits you with a kick of spicy. We both loved that the Mac and cheese had a nicely browned layer over the top. Highly recommend! The staff was friendly when I arrived to pick up my food. And the prices are also very reasonable. My only critique would be that they're menu needs some more detail. It doesn't really explain what is on the sandwiches or what is in the dishes, but they're happy to explain when you call to order. So definitely check it out. You won't be disappointed.
