"Start your day at Soulfully Good Cafe, inside a pink house with white picket fence that encloses a cute patio dotted with umbrellas. The thoughtfully decorated interior makes you feel right at home with its loungy couches and full bookshelves. Load up on breakfast fare such as avocado toast and omelets, or grab a fruit parfait to go." - Valerie Li Stack

This is a smaller café with a cozy, homey feel that was very busy and was definitely the popular place to be! The staff were all welcoming and I thought it was nice how there was a younger girl who brought your food to the table, she was very kind and made sure we had everything we needed! I ordered a S’mores Latte and the Soulful Cuban sandwich (without cheese), both were delicious—though I did miss the pickle that usually comes with the sandwich. The latte was great especially after I added a bit more syrup to enhance its flavor. Despite a 25-minute wait for our sandwiches, the quality of the food made it worth it, and I look forward to returning!

Really loved my visit to this cozy little café. The avocado toast was simply perfect—creamy avocado topped with a perfectly cooked egg that was just the right amount of runny. Also please try the apple caramel latte! Tasted sooo good🥰

Google
The sandwiches came with a delicious green salad. On the expensive side but paninis were crisp and fresh. Just not enough seating and we were standing on top of each other to order and then to wait for food.

I went there for breakfast as the other place we went was fully packed. It was a good alternative option. The food was tasteful, but it was a bit overpriced. I had a cheese panini ($12) and it was delicious but a bit small (see pic). There's a long queue to order and to go to the restroom.

Google
The food was absolutely delicious, especially the chocolate croissant. It was warm, flaky, and tasty. The breakfast burrito was also very good. The chipotle aioli was perfect with the fresh eggs. The hot chocolate also helped bite through the cold winter weather. Everyone in my party agreed that the food was great. It did take a while to come out because everything is freshly made. It is very busy, but for a good reason. The only other negative is the fairly high price, but it is worth it for the food.

Because we are next to Soulfully Good, we eat there more regularly than most. Even so, we would go out of our way as the food is yummy and well presented. This talented family team puts their heart into their business bringing southern hospitality to Woodstock. It’s definitely the best food for the price. We love it. They now have killer A/C so it’s always comfortable inside and the courtyard is cozy. PS… try the scones; the peach scone is like eating southern peach cobbler. Awesome!

Our quick lunch here was absolutely delicious. Fresh food and so tasty. We came over to try their breakfast menu, but sadly they weren’t open yet. We will definitely be back!

I’m usually in Woodstock once a week, so I stopped into to Soulfully Good Cafe for a quick coffee. Definitely want to come back and try some food. Will update with that! I was kindly greeted, and I really loved their outdoor seating set up. It’s a peaceful escape. Staff was nice, coffee was good! Solid all around good experience!

Yelp
Prepared to order cafe. We had the chicken provolone panini -- great flavor served at perfect temp with melted cheese. They had sweet tea, iced teas, and pink lemonade in addition to several bottled drinks. Service was great. While we waited for our food we took in the sights and sounds of this fun town .

Jenny G.

Yelp
This was our somewhat late lunch, and we decided to do takeout since we needed to head up to Stowe for some easy waterfall hikes. Everything was great! Fresh ingredients. My pear chicken salad was so refreshing. The chicken pieces were so soft and tender. How they cooked to perfection was beyond my expectations! The blue cheese crumble were a bit salty. The pear was the best combination! Both panini was really good, though the bread was overly buttered. Just a bit greasy but great crunch and nicely toasted. Now I want to go back for their breakfast menu, but we never wake up early enough to get there on time. Do expect a wait. Why not for fresh and delicious food!!

Marianna M.

Yelp
Food took a while but it was definitely worth the wait. Delicious salads and a really nice espresso, in a really pleasant atmosphere. The owner and one daughter were in the kitchen and her husband and another (competent preteen) daughter were handling the counter and checking on tables! We will be back.

Amber G.

Yelp
Food and service are great! We went for breakfast and the ciabatta toast was divine! Bathroom was clean and smelled good.

Matt W.

Yelp
Our first breakfast in Woodstock, Vermont. Desperately needed some coffee to get the day of exploring and Soulfully Good Cafe's coffee was just what we needed. We got a Latte and a Cappuccino with Vermont Maple Syrup. Perfection. The Waffler and the Local for breakfast really hit the spot as well. Delicious local eggs, the bacon was heavenly. I have no idea what they did with this bacon but it was the best bacon I have ever had in my life. I'm trying to be more selective with my 5 star reviews but this place really really MADE me give them one, they 100% deserve it. Tons of street parking.

Andy G.

Yelp
It's our last day here then back to Arizona, after leaving Stowe early this morning to see Woodstock before heading back to Boston, today's forecast was rain so not much walking around so drove the town and like several we've listed it did not disappoint, we stopped in A little cafe called Soulfully Good Cafe for a lite breakfast & Coffee. The staff was friendly and Ambiance was nice. I had the Breakfast Burrito with a side salad different but enjoyed it and my wife had the Croissant Breakfast Sandwich both were delicious. So if ever in Woodstock Vermont be sure to stop by and give them a try, now time to head to Boston for our flight home. Thanks Vermont for a incredible Vacation.

Yelp
A pet-friendly patio and a generous, hospitable vibe made Soulfully Good good enough to breakfast at twice on a brief visit to Woodstock. If you're an espresso fan, come here - they know their way around a grinder! The rest of the breakfast menu I found to be pretty standard. My veggie frittata, which included mushrooms, spinach, and peppers, was offered with a topping of cheddar, feta, or goat cheese. Despite the cheddar, the flavors all kind of blended together (salt would've brought it all up). The oatmeal was an improvement - creamy in texture, and served with a portion of blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries. All that said, I have an anxious, sensitive dog who made the journey here with me. If you even look at him, he might snap. Nevertheless, the staff went out of their way more than once to accommodate him. They brought him cheese to eat, they let him sniff their hands, and despite all that he wasn't won over. They weren't (visibly) deterred, and they never said anything to me despite at times continuous barking. The service felt a bit unrushed, although that might just have been the general vibe of Woodstock, a vacationer's town.

Herr K.

Yelp
Well, all I had was a simple pastry, but I was considerably surprised at how tasty it was! Delicate; unique taste; not too filling; it was really quite high level. I will DEFINITELY stop by again. I just was not expecting such a good pastry at a place that does not appear to specialize on such treats. Really well done!

Jenny K.

Yelp
Took 1 hour to get 2 breakfast sandwiches... come to find out they needed to make more croissants due to dropping a batch on the floor, with no communication to us about the wait. Once we received sandwich, super yummy. Great coffee drinks!

Craig E.

Yelp
Fantastic food, coffee, and very friendly staff. Avocado toast is excellent. [Yelp requires 85 characters.]

Deborah G.

Yelp
I did not notice any vegan options on the men but not only were they supremely accommodating, the food was superb. I most definitely recommend Soulfully Good Cafe and I hope they flourish

Destiny S.

Yelp
Absolutely horrible. I would not recommend going here unless you like waiting for over 30 mins for a coffee. Luckily, while waiting I realized the food and pasties are exposed to flies all day long while Just sitting out in the open. So I obviously didn't order any food. The place was dirty and everyone seemed to be running around but not actually doing anything. After the first 15 mins I asked about my coffee and they said they were "backed up" and then said if I had a problem waiting that I could just leave. I then asked if I could speak with the owner/manager but apparently that's who I was speaking with the whole time. Horrible. This place clearly needs some new management and maybe a course or two in customer service and food safety.

Monique R.

Yelp
We stopped here for lunch and it was delicious! Staff was all very friendly, and the cafe itself was very cute and cozy. I LOVED the Chicken Provolone Panini, I will be dreaming of it even after our trip to Vermont!

Kaitlin D.

Yelp
Terrible customer service. Our food took over an HOUR. And they kept lying about the remaining time every time we asked. They said food would take 20-30 minutes. At 25 minutes, we checked. They said they were bagging it up. After 10 minutes, we checked again, and they said it would be at least another 20 minutes. What a joke. It would be faster to go to a market, buy supplies, drive home and make the sandwich ourselves. Which is exactly what we will be doing next time.

X M.

Yelp
A cute place for breakfast or lunch to get the vibe of this little town. People are nice. We ordered the pear chicken salad, steak salad, and chicken and provolone panini. The food tastes good. The portion is generous. The price is reasonable. If the salad dressing were less oily and more balsamic vinaigrette, it could have tasted better. Note this place is pet friendly. You can bring in you dog. They also have plenty of outdoor seatings if you are concerned about COVID or indoor dining.

Kaitlyn D.

Yelp
This is a delightful Woodstock breakfast spot. I went with a large party of which many got the breakfast burrito. The burritos were delicious. The scrambled eggs were so well cooked, and the contents of the burritos were well mixed together. I got the blueberry pancakes, which were also delicious. Everyone's food looked fresh, and everyone enjoyed their meal. The staff was also great. We'll definitely be coming back!

Carrie H.

Yelp
Yummy food, a bit pricey but that is to be expected in a small rural town. Ham, Brie and apple Penni was delicious !

Kathy T.

Yelp
Came here for lunch with friends--on a very rainy day when other restaurants were all bursting. On the service side, the cashier was charming with the child in front of us, but then very grumpy with us--to the degree that we wondered if we had offended! But then when she brought us food she was back to being friendly, so perhaps something was just off in that moment. We ordered salads (begrudgingly because I always would prefer a sandwich but was trying to make healthy decisions. We got the chicken and spring greens plus the kale. Both were really good, especially the kale/brussel sprout salad--which is saying something because I always have to take a deep breath and steel myself for a lot of chewing. Cute spot!

J V.

Yelp
What can you say? Over priced, so, so food and beers starting at $9 for a glass that definitely wasn't a pint. The service was very good and food came out quickly though the falafel burger was small and very mushy. For $17 I was expecting more and better quality. I hope the high prices are providing good wages for the employees.

Stuart S.

Yelp
Came for lunch. Had the turkey with cranberry Relish. Very tasty. You order at the counter and then find a table to sit and eat.

Ebie F.

Yelp
This is a great hangout. Nice for Sunday brunch. Small menu but great food, nice space, highly recommend.

Joshua D.

Yelp
People sitting eating and drinking no masks we enter with children table right in front of us we can be sat immediately with no one really in the place accept for 3 people mentioned before. Turned away no problem we'll take our business else where Hello owner, in response to your response, no I am not new to the pandemic but I'm also not stuck in 2020 with old guidelines which are constantly being updated. First of all, once leaving your establishment, we were able to go up the block to another restaurant which served us. Secondly, I also own establishments in the hospitality business and if those guidelines were to be followed, I would provide masks for my customers as an accommodation. Lastly, I think your political views should be separate from your business. I do not support businesses that bring politics into the workplace which should remain neutral.

Jen L.

Yelp
Cozy setting in the heart of Woodstock. Very friendly staff. Delicious coffee & breakfasts. We had the eggs & bacon on top of the waffle, and it was delicious.

Tamar K.

Yelp
This place has great reviews and had a long wait line. So we figured it must be great. I appreciate the attempt at social distancing, the outside seating that's well-spaced, the staff wearing masks, the anti-bacterial, and I especially appreciate the option of gluten-free bread for the sandwiches. And I don't know what precautions they have in place for their panini press, but this is the first time, maybe in history that I actually had a pressed, hot sandwich on gluten-free bread. I wasn't expecting that! The prices are high (not surprising for Woodstock), and the sandwiches are not very stuffed. But they were good, had a nice salad that came with them. Plus almond, soy, and oat milk option for us dairy-free people too. The wait to order took a while, but once we ordered, the food came quickly.

Elizabeth K.

Yelp
This is for COVID time dining. We sat outside. Plenty of seating. Ordered inside with a mask, there is a line! Busy place. They serve breakfast until 11:30. I got a panini and friend got an omelette, make sure you also look at the specials on the board so you don't miss out! My panini was really tasty and 11 bucks. Pesto on it was good and came with a side salad. Overall good experience but slower due to COVID.

Azarel B.

Yelp
A great small town cafe with great food. The servers were super friendly and even bought my dog a piece of cheese. I should mention, their outdoor patio is dog friendly as long as they are well behaved. I arrived for lunch hours so I gave their steak and cheddar panini a try. ( menu is limited to paninis / sandwiches and salads ) It was perfect! The steak was surprisingly perfectly cooked, melt in your mouth and obviously nothing beats Vermont cheddar cheese. It was also served with a small green salad on the plate which was prefect for lightening up the dish. Their chai tea latte was also tasty and my friend enjoyed his turkey panini. Lastly, there was plenty umbrellas so it was the perfect cool relief from a hot day in Vermont!

Edward M.

Yelp
Great food and service from the new owners of this small cafe on the edge of Woodstock. Wonderful salads and paninis, pet friendly outdoor patio (for well-behaved pets). Highly recommended!

Nancy W.

Yelp
Thank you Vicki for recognizing the issue and taking the time to rectify. I appreciate your sincerity and how you feel about your business, enough to make it right immediately! Sometimes one hesitates to bring an issue to the attention of the establishment either because they're busy or in my case, it was my first time being there. It says a lot when the owner makes you the priority because they're not happy about the experience you had and will do whatever it takes turn things around! Hopefully one day I'll get to meet you in person.

Karin H.

Yelp
Looking for a place to get a cup of coffee while visiting Woodstock we found this place on Yelp so decided to give it a try. We ordered our usual espresso counter beverages and a chocolate croissant and a cupcake. The coffee was really good, and came with a small shortbread type cookie. The croissant really did nothing for me but I heard reports that the cupcake was moist and tasted good. Keep in mind that I had surgery a few years ago that I have not had a taste for sweets, other than ice cream which is in my blood, since and that likely played a lot into my reaction. The people working were very friendly and the dining area was very comfortable. We're we in the area longer I would have liked to return to try lunch, but that will have to be a different trip.

Stephen S.

Yelp
We went here twice yesterday so we got to experience their breakfast and coffee in the morning, and then tapas and an adult beverage to some beautiful live jazz guitar as a nightcap. The food is ridiculously delicious and creative. The folks that work there are the kind of nice that you associate with old friends. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming. Just go. You'll be glad you did.

Elizabeth K.

Yelp
We came here because our usual cafe in Woodstock Vermont was closed. After waiting over an hour (including being told to wait outside twice) we received very mediocre food. The place doesn't care about customer satisfaction at all. in fact people were told "we didn't ask you to come in" which is probably the rudest thing I have ever heard in a cafe. The only reason I am giving any stars at all is that the soulfully good latte with toasted marshmallow flavor was delicious. Unfortunately, they made you tip in advance so no way to punish the poor service. But if you see a line, STAY AWAY unless you don't mind being treated poorly.

Kimberly C.

Yelp
I think this was the old location for Mont Vert Cafe, but Soulfully Good Cafe is great! Super cute cafe with delicious foods and warm drinks. Plenty of street parking available. I enjoyed my tomato soup and salad. It was warming and comforting. This cafe has plenty of vegan/vegetarian options, which is always nice. It's also located in downtown Woodstock so after you sit down and get a bite to eat, you can walk around and enjoy the quaint little village.

John F.

Yelp
Great if you are on a diet. I ordered breakfast and the menu selections were lacking. Potatoes with breakfast are NOT AN OPTION. I ended up with ham, eggs and an English muffin. The price of the meal was up there and the ham was the thickness of two slices of lunchmeat. Even the English muffin was thin. Had it not been for a large portion of Oatmeal that my wife shared with me I'd gone out of there starving. Breakfast was a BUST.

Christopher H.

Yelp
My wife and I spent two days eating at a few of the best restaurants in Woodstock. The morning we left we each got a breakfast burrito from Soulfully Good Cafe. We opted not to have the pulled pork. She went meatless and I went with bacon. Along with the surprisingly delicious side salad (Yes, a breakfast side salad. I never knew I would be raving about a breakfast salad, but it was simple, fresh, and well seasoned) The smokey salsa seemed homemade and should be bottled and sold on it's own! We both agreed it was the best meal of our visit to Woodstock. Next time I'll be going for the pulled pork!

Gwynne R.

Yelp
Very fresh and flavorful lunch menu. Ordered the garden salad and side of flank steak. My husband got the pulled pork panini and the kids had the grilled cheese. All perfectly prepared. They were also one of the few places open on Thursdays so extra plus there for hungry visitors passing through Woodstock.

Samantha P.

Yelp
Such a cute little spot! I ate one of the most delicious sandwiches of my life here the other day. The turkey bacon cheddar on crispy huge croissant. The turkey was beautiful thick cut slices and the cheddar was super thick as well, I think it must be locally made. I ate the whole thing and needed a nap after

June L.

Yelp
Unfortunately I can't comment on the food....but you know what they say about first impressions... you only get one chance to make a good one and this place failed. We were out for a walk and thought we would stop and get an impromptu coffee at this cute place. However, when we walked in the lady behind the counter barked " you need a mask". As we turned around to leave we said " oh sorry we didn't realize that" to which she again barked "it's RIGHT on the door!" We have no problem wearing a mask, we just didn't see the sign is all. But her nasty tone insinuated we were willingly disregarding the " requirement". So we won't bother supporting a small business who is unnecessarily nasty. We then went back to our hotel and grabbed our masks and went elsewhere for a coffee :)

Marina M.

Yelp
Cute cafe, warm vibes and a winter solace. Delicious cappuccino no doubt made with fresh New England milk as the cream content was perfect, no sugar needed, and foam was a perfectly fluffy dry foam, not too dry not too wet. There are GF options available, classic breakfast sandwiches was amazing, typically served on a fresh croissant, eggs were perfectly over medium, ham was cut thick. The hospitality was welcoming and comforting.

Amanda C.

Yelp
Cute cafe and a great place to grab breakfast. Order at the counter, grab a spot to eat, and they'll bring out the food to you. We had a waffle, croissant with cheese, coffee and tea. They also have outdoor seating for the warmer months!

Owen D.

Yelp
Imagine this, you want food or perhaps a good coffee, buttttt Woodstock is crowded everywhere is swamped and you can find what you're looking for. But then, you go about a block outside of town and you hit it, Soulfully Good Cafe. A few reasons make this place deserving of 4 stars. 1) excellent coffee. I have never been disappointed in the numerous times I have been. I personally always go for either a maple or mud season ice latte. 2) in my most recent trip I tried to food and I just say EXCELLENT. It was a quick and easy lunch while on a road trip. I did wish they served breakfast longer (ends at 11am) but was still great. I had the fried chicken salad sandwich and it was amazing. By far the best I've had, great chicken, not too much mayo, corn etc. my girlfriend has the soup of the day a nice broccoli cheddar and it was exceptional paired with the nice fresh bread 10/10. 3) downsides there was a dog barking upstairs the whole time we were there and breakfast ends at 11am :(.

Ray W.

Yelp
Closer to a 4.5. Solid breakfast spot - my preferred option in the town. The bacon, egg, and cheese croissant was one of the best I've had - ingredients were very fresh & high quality. They also offered a home made hot sauce! My wife loved the yogurt parfait- one of the best she's had. Coffee left much to desire. It was MAYBE slightly above average. They did introduce me to using maple as a sweetener! I would come back for the food and possibly go to Mont Vert for the coffee, which is just slightly better.

Sherrie L.

Yelp
Nice spot in a cute little town. Seating limited inside but can sit outside too. The wait was a little long, but the food was bomb and 100% worth it. I got a chicken provolone panini, and my mom got a curried chicken sandwich, both tasted amazing

Samar J.

Yelp
I loved the decor and the food . Service is good. We needed more maple syrup and they gave us a tiny refill but its not Florida where its the land of plenty.

Becky D.

Yelp
Such a cute and cozy place to start your day. We wanted a quick breakfast (visiting area from Boston) and we were greeted by the friendly staff and the food and coffee was so fresh and filling! The indoor and outdoor seating areas were comfortable and felt like home! Would definitely go back if we had more time! P.s the maple latte was AMAZING--I wanted to take another large one to go!!

Nisha S.

Yelp
Quaint little cafe! The food was AMAZING. We ordered the local (breakfast sandwich) and the brussel sprout and kale salad. All of it was super tasty and fresh. I normally need to add hot sauce to my meals but didn't feel the need to here. I also normally don't like raw kale and brussel sprouts but loved this salad especially the maple dressing it came with! Portions were perfect. We also shared a chocolate chip cookie and slice of banana bread-both were moist and not too sweet. Lattes were great. Staff was super friendly as well - highly recommend!

M G.

Yelp
Our lunches were basic but very good. The ingredients were fresh the preparation was on point. Would certainly go back

Gerald N.

Yelp
What a wonderful place. Friendly staff and great food. I had the croissant sandwich with eggs and bacon with a local cheese that was phenomenal. My wife had the frittata with eggs and loved it. It was quite light and airy. I finished off with a large bowl of oatmeal with fruit and a dash of maple syrup. It was perfectly made which means I will skip lunch.

Frank B.

Yelp
Soulfully was a nice place for lunch. A bit dated inside, and with a limited menu. If you decide to eat here, get the fried chicken salad. It seems like a house specialty. Given the choice, I recommend you go to the Mont Vert cafe instead. The menu was larger and more creative.

Nicole L.

Yelp
My husband and I went here a couple of times on a recent trip, and they have the fastest barista I've ever seen! My drink was literally done by the time I finished paying! I had a very good soy latte (I appreciate that they use Silk) and my husband had a giant chocolate chip cookie. They have a cute space with a dog friendly patio.
