On the Grid : First Tennessee Park (Sounds Stadium)

"For a good time, call 1-800-Sounds. No really. This ballpark was voted best minor league fan experience. Sure, you can grab a seat and be a classic fan. Or you could skip the peanuts and cracker jacks, pass go, and make a line drive to right field, where 4,000 square feet of fun awaits. The Band Box is an outdoor bar, restaurant, and game mecca (games at a game? So meta). Try your hand at corn hole or ping pong while your other hand tries a whiskey and coke icee. Or chomp on the Band Box Dog, stuffed with pimento cheese, potato chips, pickled onion, and pure joy. This is what a home run feels like." - redpepper

I’m a baseball stadium nut and this is a top notch minor league stadium. Great sight lines with cool views. Lots of stuff happening. Food could be better and more local

Ryan Anderson

Google
Cotton candy bags on ground, do i need to explain further? I understand the actual food didn't touch the ground but come on. A thinly twisted bag straight on the ground

What a wonderful experience. I have always loved attending Sounds ball games. As a kid I was always ready for the next game. Although it's at a different stadium the energy was the same. Absolutely fantastic. Our company had a family night there and I think it is a core memory for my kids. Very clean facility, food was an A as far as ball park food goes. Ice cream with the ball caps was absolutely everything !!! Please keep the ice cream caps. 😘

Google
Beautiful, purpose built, stadium. Grass and infield was immaculate. The vibe was great even though there were less than 2,000 out on a Tuesday night. My seat was in section 110, Row F just behind the home team’s dugout. By game time I was in the shade. The stadium was well staffed and employees were easy to identify. The gift shop was filled with quality merchandise. They had Nashville Sounds merch, the alternate Nashville Hot Chickens merch, the MLB affiliate Nashville Brewskis (they are affiliates with Milwaukee Brewers) and some throwback merch. I almost forgot about the mini golf. Check it out!

Google
Classic Minor team game experience. They had the fun side shows and games going on to keep fans entertained. They also had giveaways at the door. Prices for tickets are reasonable. Would bring familes and friends for a (cheapish) night out.

Tara Williams

Google
One of the only affordable places in Nashville that's still around. Take your kids. On Sunday they can run the bases. Thursdays or throw back prices for food and drinks. Friday has fireworks. Tuesday you can bring your dog. Lots of giveaways throughout the season as well.

Google
Nice stadium. Good views from the stands.

Google
Beautiful ballpark. Lots for kids to do. Great food. Layout is phenomenal. Large bathrooms. Absolutely love going to the games. Bring your Dog night is pretty awesome. Usually always giving something free upon entering the park. It’s a really fun night.

Yelp
The most wonderful time of the year is upon us again and that means Sounds baseball is back!!! Nashville Sounds is Nashvilles hometown Minor League Baseball Team and are the Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. First Horizon Park is situated in Germantown and is easily one of the best minor league parks in the country! Not a bad seat on the house, great food options, mini golf, batting cages, a softball field, excellent clubhouse store and the best bar serving up boozy orangecicle slushes! Outside of the park being amazing, the Sounds are a solid baseball team that constantly delivers to the local fan base! Hopes are that Nashville soon lands an MLB franchise, but in the meantime The Sounds do quite well satisfying the local baseball needs of Nashville. Overall, we love the Nashville Sounds and First Horizon Park! Go Sounds!

Yelp
Great time at the park: - Gluten free options - not sure - Great atmosphere - Prices reasonable - Friendly staff - Entertaining staff Sounds lost to the Stripers but we all had a great time!

Yelp
Amazing vibes ... they really knocked it out of the park ;) there aren't any hot dogs like these. they're succulent iykyk avoid the pepperoni sauce ... it's like the inside of a tostino's pizza roll ... #interesting

Yelp
We have wanted to visit the Nashville Sounds Triple-A club for several years. We want to view their massive guitar scoreboard; believe me, it is most impressive. We went to a game with a special giveaway, a Vihuelas de Nashville Scarf Giveaway. The crowd started to arrive two hours before game time since the giveaway was limited to the first 1,000 fans. Since it was our first time at the ballpark, I was unaware of where to park; I noticed a parking garage next to the stadium called First Horizon Park Parking. The wife asked some locals about parking there since the website for the Sounds states, "There will be a fee associated with this garage. The parking garage is NOT available Monday through Friday before 5:30 p.m." That's what deters a lot of fans from venturing out to unknown destinations: the stress of parking. Again, it was right next to the ballpark and free. Zero issues. Next, we purchased tickets at the ticket window and waited two hours for the gates to open. We received our scarves and walked around checking out the stadium's features. We quickly noticed several features that differed from other Triple-A clubs--enough said. Stop and check out a game if you're in the Nashville area or passing through on a game day.

Yelp
Always a fun time at Nashville Sounds games! They involve the community in serval ways. For example, last night a local high school sang the National Anthem. Stadium is beautiful and well maintained. Plenty of food options, variety of seating options and ticket prices.

Yelp
I want to like the Sounds more than I do, but it really is hard with all the problems I've seen. I live in Nashville and am just up the road, and I love Baseball, and I really love Minor League Baseball. However between the awful parking situation, the expensive prices compared to other ballclubs (Like the Bowling Green Hot Rods, and the Huntsville Trash Pandas, which are a lot less expensive across all metrics), and also the lack of community outreach as they don't really connect with Nashville people or organizations well. Most egregiously, The Sounds don't do much to honor Veterans at games, which is glaring as this is Tennessee. Frankly I'm shocked that they are so blase about it. When even Northern Teams like the Worcester Red Sox, The Hartford Yard Goats honor Retired Military Vets AT EVERY GAME. Heck, even the New York Yankees do that! Naturally, it's just weird compared to other Southern League teams like the Bowling Green Hot Rods, The Huntsville Trash Pandas, The Chattanooga Lookouts, The Tennessee Smokies, and from what I heard, The Memphis Redbirds and The Louisville Bats ALL honor Vets at each game. It's not seemingly a Nashville issue, as the Predators do their part as well, making a point to honor Vets at all the games. Bottom line is, it is glaring and frankly kind of embarrassing. In conclusion, The Sounds come off as cold, corporate, aimed more at tourists than locals, expensive, feckless about the community and Veterans, and generally antiseptic and unfriendly. I am always disappointed when I go, and feel like a sucker everytime. I want to like them, but I don't. Most people say that they lost their heart and soul when they left Greer Field in 2015. That seems to be true. I wish my home team was cooler, but they are not. I hate hitting the road to go see the Hot Rods or Trash Pandas, but that seems to be the better bet.

Yelp
The stadium is nice and on a great night its wonderful to watch a game. But the concessions need improvement. My cheeseburger was cold and a piece of cheese slapped on top, not melted, burger was cold. The pretzel not fresh, dried out. The brats were not worth the money or time in line. Good cold beer! Next time I'll eat before.
google avatar

Barry F.

Yelp
Idiotic purse policy, purse was 1mm too large when they pushed it flat damn near breaking my wife's sunglasses - location of stadium isn't great either, better off just grabbing a cold beer somewhere else!!
google avatar

Agnew D.

Yelp
Had an excellent adventure and family time at the Sounds game. Private seating with our own dedicated servers was great and had a nice view of the field and the fans. Food was tasty and beer was cold. No cash used and no smoking inside the venue.

Yelp
I love coming to games here! There's something for everyone to enjoy! We love the lawn seating. We bring blankets, lay out and Enjoy! Mini golf is fun, lots of food options (even though the lines are typically terribly long), and great scenery! We've caught a ball during the game, and have even found ourselves up on the jumbotron!

Shane S.

Yelp
Non conversational, sorry, uptight employees working at the front gate didn't let my family and I in because my bag was literally centimeters too big. It was a fanny pack. THREE KIDS with us. No room for compromise, no hearing me out. I said the "f word" and was prohibited from entering, even though we paid full price for 6 tickets. Apparently, the grown man's feelings got hurt. He was willing to let the rest of my family in without me (2 women and 3 children under the age of 12) but banned me with a smile on his face. I was completely sober and just wanted to be able to reason with them. Society is cooked. By the way, the guy at the gate in left field by the Tailgate brewery let me in during the 4th inning, with my bag. The rest of my group was turned off of entering the establishment, so I turned right back around and left. He wasn't on a power trip.

Yelp
This was fun and cheap! I literally know nothing of baseball. This can be a great first date place to go! Ladies bring a wallet and not a purse!
google avatar

Emily A.

Yelp
Had so much fun here last night. We went on a Wednesday and it was busier than I thought. Really good vibes, games, drinks, food. and a good crowd of people. The stadium is very clean and plenty of shade!
google avatar

Shane F.

Yelp
Bark at the park was a BLAST! We need more events like these more often. The foods great, and being able to bring your dog and enjoy baseball is even better!

Christie

Yelp
Ridiculous bag policy. Multiple people sent away bc purse strap over line, purse 1/4" too large etc. told to leave purse outside in bushes. Stadium is empty. And they're acting like it's a huge security threat. Employees rude and not being reasonable.
google avatar

Karen N.

Yelp
We have visited many baseball stadiums and First Horizon Park is definitely one of the better ones. It not only is an affordable option to watch a decent game, the park has a lot to offer. The guitar shaped scoreboard is in line with Music City's atmosphere. There is a miniature golf, batting cage and several game options , i.e. ping pong, corn hole, shuffleboard etc. The Band Box has many drink options and Thirsty Thursday is an affordable option . The whiskey slushies are a fan favorite, mine too, even though a bit pricey. There are many drink and food options throughout the park. The food options are the standard ballpark food. During the game the food lines are very long. The park does have a no purse/bag policy and only clear bags are allowed.
google avatar

Hayley M.

Yelp
I wasn't allowed to enter the stadium bc my wristlet was too big. It's 9 inches long. I had to walk all the way back to my car in Germantown to put it there. When I returned I saw this man with basically a backpack. What are the rules here??

Andee A.

Yelp
Nice park nestled in downtown Nashville. Foodies should order from the Band Box, a food stand (near the bar of the same name) that offers slightly more interesting options (all other concessions have the usual overpriced ballpark fare). The only reason I deducted one star is that the prices are too high for a minor league park. To that end, if you're not part of a large group, buy a general admission ticket for the berm and then find a better seat once the game starts. I've never seen it sold out in the 5 times I've been there. The fans are great and welcoming (or at least tolerant) of fans for the opposing team. And don't miss the legends of country music race!

Yelp
SCAM!! DO NOT PAY FOR PARKING IN ADVANCE! They cancelled the game due to rain. I was told I can reschedule the game BUT NOT parking! I cannot be refunded due to the Sounds not owning the parking lot... that shouldn't be the customer's fault. Now I have to pay again, $20 for parking I never used. That's scamming at this point.
google avatar

Megan A.

Yelp
Super jerk security guard makes it hard for moms by not allowing diaper bags in. I had to carry my diapers and wipes in by hand

David C.

Yelp
What an absolute disappointment. I've seen Little League games play through rain. They canceled over a little rain. Then send the most half assed email I have ever seen. Girl at the ticket booth who obliviously much rather be on her phone watching Tik Tok was just plain rude. Maybe they closed for the sewage smell instead that was absolutely foul. Get it together if you want to make the big leagues you need to play a game or two. (Picture included doesn't look to bad to me. A soccer game would be going Plus the smell is horrible I'm not joking at all it smelled horrible)

Yelp
Do you enjoy baseball games? Yes: Great--you're in luck as the First Tennessee Park is home to the Minor League Baseball Team, the Nashville Sounds. You can watch baseball all evening unless the Tennessee weather is being crazy as usual (and even then, in the case of a rainout/postponement you can attend any other game you want and redeem for a lesser or equal value ticket). To go along with your game watching you can enjoy an adult beverage or grab some food (Throwback Thursday deals are $2 for domestic 12 oz beers and $4 for Bud and Bud Light 16 oz cans). No: Great--you're still in luck as there is this fantastic thing called 'The Bandbox' in right field. If you do not want to watch baseball here are some other things you can do including but not limited to: -Engage in one of the many recreational activities: ping pong, cornhole, foosball and shuffleboard -Watch other sports at the bar (I'm not judging) -Lounge on one of their couches -Catch the fireworks show (Friday nights) -High-Five Booster the hot chicken mascot -People watch on the Big Guitar Screen (it's really fun, I swear) Whether your answer to the question was 'yes' or 'no' you will have a fun time at the game. The Park is new (est. 2015) and clean and they have decent parking options ($10 or $15 lots). If you buy a last minute ticket at the gate to sit on the green it's only $9 and then you can go and enjoy the other things that the Park has to offer. They do have discounts and deals on certain days and so it can be a very budget-friendly activity if planned correctly.

Yelp
A nice ball field and good family fun. It's a little on the high side in price in my opinion for a amateur team. But it's baseball and until nashville gets a MLB team this will work!!!

Diane W.

Yelp
They have a clear bag policy, with small purses having to be under 5" by 9". Fine. But. When you're from out of town, took an Uber from your hotel 30 minutes away, didn't know about the policy until you got there, and they took out their lockers "because no one was using them," you're just SOL. No refund, no options for stowing your bag. Guess they want me to just throw it away? The lady behind me had a perfectly normal sized fanny pack that they wouldn't let in either. Totally insane. Put the lockers back. Oh, and this was fan appreciation night. I guess fans are, but visitors aren't? Welcome to Nashville!
google avatar

Amanda D.

Yelp
Great place to watch a ball game. We got free tickets from Electronic Express giving away on Instagram. Hot dogs hit different when you eat them at a baseball game.

Yelp
Last Cheer at Greer was packed!!! My hubby and I live about 5 miles at the most from the ball park and for the past four years we kept putting off going...but the last game of the last season to be played at this park...we had to go !!! Right??? Of course !!! So, I jumped on the internet website for the Nashville Sounds and purchased General Admission tickets for $8 each plus $1 each handling for total of $18. I had them held at Will Call window. We arrived about 5:30 pm..first pitch at 7:05...so we had to wait in line with many many others.. Once in, we were herded through the gates and the back of the bleacher area..it was so PACKED..I went to the restroom and thought I was going to pass out from the heat. This stadium is 37yrs old...but it is in great condition. Not sure why they are closing it. They needed a parking garage, but the stadium itself is fine!!! Okay, now the rough parts...Tony needed a Budweiser (((( of course Hannah...Right???) $8 for ONE 25 oz can...Now that is bank robbery..I know that businesses are out to make money...but at what point is PRICE GOUGING considered against the law..This same beer cost like $2.29 to $2.59 at a gas station...come on...350 to 400% mark up...and WHO IS BROKE!!! The ballpark...ha ha ha..I think NOT!!! Then we went to get 2 hot dogs, with nothing but mustard and ketchup..relish is available...and a coke cola in a 20 oz bottle..so no overhead with cups, ice or straws....$12, meaning $4 each..same soda is overpriced in gas station for $1.50 and so are the gas station style hot dogs...same food would have been about $4.50 in a gas station..so again 300% markup...so I was into the park for 10 minutes and down $38...and they ask the QUESTIONS...why don't people come to these things anymore....well does this answer your question...I also paid $5 for parking ((( about the average ))) so actually down $43 in less than an hour.. I am glad its the final..because I couldn't afford much of this... The opening was presented with the first pitch was with several previous Nashville sounds past important people including the Greer Stadium Namesake son and daughter...It was nice..Also one of the Oak Ridge Boys threw out one of the first pitches apparently he was a previous team owner..Then the Oakridge Boys sang "The Star Spangled Banner"..that was pretty nice...I was able to see the Oakridge Boys and heard them sing..that was so priceless... The team lost!!! We left early because after a second $8 beer I couldn't handle being Robbed so easily and out in the open like that...$16 for two beers..that is enough for a case of beer...ugh!!! I hope you go and have fun!!

Yelp
My order from the online pro shop was sent to the wrong address, and Wade went out of his way to make sure it was sent to my correct address in time for Christmas! Over the top service Wade, thank you!!! Can't wait to catch some games in the spring!

Yelp
Here to watch the Memphis Redbirds take on the Nashville Sounds for a Monday night minor league baseball game. FTP is clean and modern and quite nice. Very good fan engagement and the Sound Wave cheerleaders. A great view of the field from where we were sitting, which was the front row over the visitor's dugout. Seats were reasonably comfortable. Decent food options, plenty of beer, not many vendors walking through the stands, though. Nachos, burgers, a pork chop sandwich, and more of the usual culprits. Parking in the nearby deck was $10 per vehicle. The game was entertaining and the Sounds played well, but they lost to the Redbirds.
google avatar

Dan D.

Yelp
Great way to spend a summer evening. Stadium is clean, modern and comfortable. Concessions are adequate and reasonably priced. Lots of kid activities to keep everyone in the family occupied. And the guitar-shaped scoreboard is really cool, especially as the evening goes on and the lights on the scoreboard really stand out.

Yelp
I did not know it was possible to ruin a baseball game.... but someone at the Sounds organization has figured it out. I pay to go see a baseball game not listen to a mediocre cover band. As soon as the first pitches were thrown a band cranked up their noise in left field. I was hoping it was just like a pre show until after the game. Nope, spent the next nine innings having to listen to all the normal baseball sounds compete with the band. Please tell me this is not a regular thing. We went on Sept. 2nd and were not aware of any crap band promotions.

Yelp
It's been a year since I attended a Nashville Sounds game. My son and I were both anticipating this game since our first two were so enjoyable in 2017 and 2018. I was so disappointed this year to learn that they've ruined the entire baseball experience. Right after the national anthem, a mediocre cover band began playing music behind the visitor side seating (where we were located). It was absolutely horrible. All the normal sounds of baseball were muffled by annoying music for the entire game. The normal quiet anticipation during a baseball game, the sound of the players on the field, the fans responding to the game; it was all gone. I hoped that it would stop after the first inning or two, but it went on for the entire game. Even when music was playing over the stadium speakers between innings or when a batter came up, the music went on. I could barely talk to my son over the sensory overload. Once again, it was horrible. I understand this is Nashville; I get it, music city, but why ruin baseball. That mediocre band could have been heard in 100 different bars in Nashville (with no cover charge); there is no reason to place them at the Sounds stadium and ruin the baseball experience that we're actually paying for. I went on a Friday night, so maybe you'll have better luck on a different night; however, consider yourself warned.

Yelp
Obtaining tickets using the Costco purchase option is incrediably fouled up. First I had to go to a web site called "fevo" then that led to "ticketmaster", which -- of course -- I had to sign up for an account. Then that led off to a non-working web page. Finally I was directed to the Sounds Web Page, then back to Ticketmaster where there is a page which says "your tickets are ready for your phone -- you phone is your tickets" (sic). No place was there a way to somehow transfer the tickets (if there are any) to my phone, which is an Android with a google "wallet". Nothing worked with that either. I've spent over 4 hours on and off the phone trying to get this sorted out. "Fevo" and "Ticketmaster" do not have any phone contact information. Sounds ticket office does have a telephone number which goes directly to voice mail -- several times. I did get a call back, but of course I was in the bathroom at the time so it went to voice mail. I am NEVER EVER going to do this again. Oh, and Handicapped Parking? Forget that, it is at least a mile away which I can't handle since the VC managed to blow me up back in 1968 during the Tet Offensive. End of Rant, good luck with your ticket finding.

Yelp
Beautiful new baseball stadium in Nashville with a guitar-shaped jumbo-tron and scoreboard, cushioned seating, and plenty of food and beverage options. If you prefer root canals to watching baseball, there's an open party deck with artificial grass which offers space for 4 teams to play cornhole side-by-side. Not sure if that's how closely the games are normally played but it looked very...cozy. Not into cornhole? You'll also find tables where you can get your ping-pong on. If you're waiting to challenge the winner, there are plenty of comfy seats where the hardest thing likely to come flying at your face is a 1ounce ping-pong ball or a rubber-surfaced paddle. And, if ping-pong is not your thing, there's a sports bar with several flat screen tvs, one of which is bound to have something that holds your interest for a few minutes. Overall, a gorgeous stadium with plenty of things to do besides watching baseball.

Yelp
What's better than beer, hot dogs, and baseball? Not much! And you can get all three when you go to Greer Stadium to watch our Sounds play. I am one of the ones that goes more for the atmosphere than the actual game, but I hear the Sounds are really good for a minor league team! Great for family and group outings, or date day/night. Check their schedule online and you can usually find good deals on tickets (not that they are expensive anyway) and promotional nights that fit anything you are looking for. Taking the kids? Go on dollar dog day ($1 hot dogs, if you couldn't guess that!) or fireworks night. Out with the guys or girls? Check out thirsty Thursday for draft beer starting at $1/cup. I don't give the Sounds 5 stars only because of Greer Stadium, which is pretty old. They do realize they are in need of new digs, and hopefully some day soon Nashville will boast a state of the art baseball field. Until then, just enjoy being outside on a nice Spring or Summer day, cheering on one of Nashville's best teams!

Yelp
Last night, I went to the first baseball game in eleven years. I am not a big baseball fan. My ticket was very cheap, so I decided to give it a try. I had a lot of fun. While it did not make me a big baseball fan, I will go back from time to time. I'm going to cover all aspects of the evening, so this will be a lengthy review. They have a senior citizen's club which provided six tickets, a t-shirt, and discounts at the souvenir store all for $25. That is hard to beat. Staff is wonderful and friendly. EVERY employee I came across was great from the ushers to security to concession, etc. As for the baseball, it was fun. There is a pitch timer which requires the pitcher to get in his stance quickly. There is also a timer for how long it takes the teams to change innings. This keeps the game moving. One of the big reasons I have not liked baseball was the number of long delays. It kept me interested. Concession stands offer a wide variety of menu items. Walk around the entire park to find the food you want. There is also a bar in the right field area and many options for beer and margaritas. It has an amusement park atmosphere. If you get bored with the game, especially children, there are ping-pong tables and corn hole games for free. For an extra cost, you can play a basketball toss game, miniature golf, pitching cage, bounce houses, and more. First Tennessee Stadium is built on some historic property. Take time to read the dedication to the Sulfur Dells field and the series of plaques on the pre-history of the area. Krazy Kyle is the organist. He is the organist for the Nashville Predators as well. At the ball park, he plays a great deal and adds a lot to the game. You can get a "pass out and back" which is wonderful. Their is a wonderful beer garden restaurant right next to the home plate gate. There are other several other restaurants nearby. The stadium is located in a nice neighborhood. There is a parking deck right next to the center and right field gates. Very convenient. All in all, I smiled throughout the game.

Sherri H.

Yelp
Great park and a fun family atmosphere. The purse policy is ridiculous. Really should re-evaluate. Not sure how my clutch purse that is "on the line" is a security issue.

Yelp
Wow they have hot this one out of the park the Band Box is a great spot to drink, eat and watch the game. Thank Mr Mayor for getting this placed opened and doing it right! I can't wait to take the kids here to see what a great park we have! I love this spot!!!

Nicole H.

Yelp
The only bad seat is the general admission grass seating. Eat before you go as the food is very pricey!

Yelp
Summary: Great night of fun on the field. As I start this review, a note: there will not be things related to the actual stadium itself or concession costs in this review. The team does not control those things; thus I can't hold it against them or for them should there be a ballpark related item. I did do a review of the ballpark on my Yelp account and you can see those issues within that review. My kids were overjoyed that my move to Nashville meant we once again had minor league baseball in town. We always loved going for a night at the ballpark together and this was the first chance to see the Sounds in their new stadium. The team did not let us down. The mid-innings action with their announcer doing the classic games like the Dizzy Bat Race were good fun. The only real mistake the team made in the mid-innings entertainment was having the "Reba" mascot beat the "Johnny" Cash mascot during their mascot race. How dare you, Nashville Sounds! Nobody beats the Man in Black! A pox on your house, good Sirs! Another really fun thing for my kids was the interaction with the ballplayers. Now, none of them were Sounds players because we were sitting in section 121 on the first base side near the opposing bullpen. But the railing is low there and there's no way for players not to be close to the fans. They joked with the kids, gave them baseballs and made the kids feel like VIPs. And this was the VISITING team. I can't imagine how great the home town boys are to the kids. And there was one pitcher for the Sky Sox who had a seriously righteous beard and kind of looked like Captain Obvious from the Hotels.com commercials. Everyone, including the player, had a good laugh about it. That's what minor league ball is all about...fun for the fans, fun for the players. Bottom line: The Sounds are as class as any minor league team. Well worth the night out with the family.
google avatar

Yelp
The Sounds are such a great, cheap way to spend a summer evening. I know the team probably wants a new stadium downtown, but I just love Greer. Yeah, it's old. Yeah, it's a little run down. But free parking! And it's easy to get to! I just can't imagine trying to get downtown and park for a game. But I digress. As a few of my fellow thirsty reviewers have mentioned, Thirsty Thursdays are a great deal. $1 drafts until the end of the fifth (or 8:30, whichever comes first). There are always tons of other promotions going on ($1 Hot Dog night comes to mind). You can't beat the ticket price, either: $6 for general admission, $10 for a reserved seat. I'm sure it would be nice to have a major league team in your hometown, but I like the feel of a minor league game. There are always lots of families, it's relaxed, people seem to be having a good time. Great for group outings. Judge Beans BBQ recently moved in to the clubhouse restaurant space above the field. There are boxes, but I honestly wouldn't recommend them. Go sit in the stands. You'll be really close to the action. Enjoy the Sounds while they are still at Greer. You've got to wonder if the guitar scoreboard can survive a move.

Yelp
As a Nashville Sounds season ticket holder, I am disgusted by the way my account manager has dealt with me. It takes weeks for him to return emails and phone calls regarding the crappy service I 'don't' get... and on one occasion it took calling his boss just to get a response from 'someone'. Their website doesn't work, as I can not view my tickets on my smartphone (that's one of the season ticket selling points), I've had to pay to park at the stadium on multiple occasions (another selling point is you get to park for free)... I'm just disgusted with these jack wads, and how they expect a person to pay $1000 for one ticket, and ignore them all season. Never again... I used to love the Sounds, now I feel sick every time I think about going to a game. I've missed the last month and a half of their games because I just can't deal with their BS. $1000 wasted. This was something I'd wanted for years... Nashville Sounds season tickets. I saved and saved until I could afford it. Friggin' joke. I'm a fool

Yelp
Do not hesitate to buy SRO tickets! An amazing venue for baseball and for socializing. The facility is very clean and welcoming. The openness of the park in conjunction with the closeness of the field gives it an intimate, backyard feeling. You can watch from the outfield from a lawn, or from a great outdoor bar with both chairs and standing room. There's also a mini golf course, cornhole, and ping pong if you feel like a diversion. This is easily one of the best ballparks I've ever been to and it's worth checking out.

Yelp
This is a great little ballpark and a lot of fun. First, there's not a bad seat in this ballpark. Second, the ushers and staff are friendly, courteous and energetic. Ron (section 111) is the primary reason I came back for me second game! The players show hustle. They flash major league potential and add in the family fun entertainment; and you have a winning formula! Tickets start at only $9.00. Equivalent to a movie!

Yelp
My son is in love with baseball. We took a chance and bought some tickets for an evening game on a Sunday. Boy the players did not disappoint! My son even got to catch a ball! It was a great game, great concessions, and not a bad seat in the house! I love how they go above and beyond to keep their audience engaged during innings.

Yelp
So it's not a pro game, doesn't mean it's not awesome! Tickets are $12-$10. Parking is $3. Sometimes there are fireworks. You can book tickets the week of the game and still sit in the best seats in the house. According to the website, they have veggie burgers. I didn't go searching, but rather had generic nachos. They also have dippin' dots and cool beer. You can definitely bring the whole family and they have a family seating area where no alcohol is allowed. For the money, it deserves all 4 stars! I will be back.

Yelp
Who doesn't love a little baseball come summer... alas I'll miss Oakland athletics games at the concrete monster, but finding the Nashville sounds is well, baseball in the summer so i cant complain one bit. the sounds have a pretty good history through out the PCL AAA system, I read "Of the 742 players to appear in at least one game for the Nashville Sounds since 1978, 502 of them have gone on to play in the major leagues and 38 Sounds players have been named to their league's post-season All-Star unit. " This includes favorites as the brewers Prince fielder, and more notably Don Mattingly. This is a flash from the past 100%, i walked in and saw the old guitar score board, with only about half the lights actually working on it at the time, and immediately Bull Durham came to mind. The team is decent enough, we saw a guy throw 11 K's in five innings pitched so that was impressive.. Other than that, thirsty Thursdays are served up for the price of 8 buck tickets, and a massive beer that would run 12 bucks back home, but no... $3 bucks here on Thursdays... beer, summer... baseball.... cant be beat.. I will be back for many a game, I can see it already....

Yelp
Man do I love me some minor league baseball. I grew up watching the Sounds in Greer, and while the nostalgic part of me misses the old manual scoreboard and the grimy, dingy grandstand, the new stadium at Sulphur Dell is a marked improvement. Not only is the park shiny and new, it has a plethora of food and drink options, with plenty of outlets, so lines don't get out of control. There are fun climbing inflatables and bounce houses beyond right field for the kiddos, and also a cool bar. Left field has the berm seats and another cool area with tabletops where you can hang and watch the game while easily chatting with friends -- and have a place to set your food and beer. About the only negative is the blinding setting sun that comes over the grandstand when you're sitting in left field. The game we went to had a 7:05 pm start, and it was a good 45 minutes before the sun dipped behind the grandstand and we could see what was happening in the infield. All in all I have to say this is a great experience. It's a high-enough level of minor league ball that they players are good, the Sounds typically field a good team, and the stadium is top notch. Parking is not the greatest right now, but once they finish the garage it should get better.

Yelp
Awesome New Stadium! The new First Tennessee Bank baseball stadium is wonderful! The stadium is new, clean, and beautiful. I'm so excited the Sounds got a new place to play ball. The gift shop has a large selection of merchandise. They must be doing very well because they were sold out of my size in the shirt I liked. I will wait until the next visit and hope they have more in stock. There are many wonderful food options including Pepperfire hot chicken, hot dogs, sausages, bratwurst, and burgers. There is a beer stand with a variety of craft beer including Gerst and some Yazoo options. My husband got club seats on the second level. There is a bar and restaurant on this level. The restaurant has Pepperfire hot chicken and beer. There is also a full bar. This level doesn't have craft beer but you can go to the first level and get anything you want as long as you have your ticket. They check your ticket at two places every time you return to the second level. The seats were comfortable. The ushers were energetic and entertaining. I hope they get paid well because they made the game a fun experience.

Yelp
I've been going to Sounds games since I was 7 years old, which means I've been going for about 22 years... Interestingly, 22 years ago was probably the last time the out of town scoreboard worked. At this point, they've completely given up hope of ever having it work again and they've turned it into a giant Goo Goo Cluster advertisement. The great thing about a Sounds game is that it is completely and 100 percent affordable. It costs 3 bucks to park at a game and you should be able to get a seat for less than 10. Concessions are all pretty cheap, too. At no point do you have that, "I just paid HOW MUCH for a hamburger?" moment. There's even a sports bar upstairs which I'm fairly certain was last updated during the Reagan administration. We're talking 80's sportsbar chic. Long story short, baseball is baseball anywhere you go. The Sounds would get 5 stars if it weren't for Greer Stadium. Ohhhh. The scoreboard is shaped like a guitar..... Seriously, I don't care if you shape the scoreboard like a middle finger...just make it work.
