Google
The food was perfectly fine-not a standout, but certainly not bad. For my taste, the pho was quite salty, which was the one slight drawback. However, the atmosphere is a huge win! I really enjoyed the fun vibe and absolutely loved all the Dragon Ball decor around

I came to Jacksonville for work and Soupa Noodle Bar was one of the places that kept coming up on TikTok, so I decided to try it, and honestly it was so worth it. The whole experience was incredible. The place itself is amazing and I love that everything is done through machines, so you don’t even have to talk to anyone if you don’t want to. The decoration was one of my favorite parts because it has this fun anime vibe, everything is super colorful and visually really pleasing. They even have little arcade machines where kids can play, and honestly adults can too. It gives the place such a cheerful and lively atmosphere without feeling overwhelming. It was completely packed and still, my food came out before I even sat down at my table, which blew my mind. They have so many options and I love the fact that you can build your own bowl exactly how you want it. They offer two sizes, a kid size and a large size. I eat a lot and even the kid size was perfect for me because it left space for appetizers. I ordered takoyaki and they were insanely good, super fresh, hot and flavorful. I also got a jasmine and honey boba tea that was refreshing and really delicious. Another thing I loved is that they have Happy Hour every weekday from Monday to Friday from three to six, and on Saturdays and Sundays from three to five. It’s honestly worth it because you can order several appetizers and even ramen bowls at a lower price, which makes the whole experience even better. There are tons of dessert options, ramen variations and appetizers to choose from, so you’re definitely not going to run out of things to try. Between the three things I ordered, I spent about twenty five dollars, and I would one hundred percent come back. If you want ramen that comes out fast and tastes amazing, this is the place to go. The broth was full of flavor, the ramen was piping hot and the noodles were cooked perfectly. I honestly wish I could go back ten more times. If you’re in Jacksonville or live nearby, this is definitely a spot you need to check out.

Google
SOUPA BLAND! I’m highly confused as to how this place has so many positive reviews. The soup was incredibly bland. Like nothing could save it. It’s incredibly overpriced. The women’s bathroom was covered in black mold. The karaage was fine and the boba was very mid. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all and I will not be coming back. Waste of money.

Google
The good: This place is vibrantly anime themed. The food is relatively tasty and reasonably priced. The bubble tea was great with lots of choices of add-ins. The merch seemed fun. The place is clean and the food came out promptly. The meh: The large anime statues are cool, but both are broken. The plastic silverware is low quality (my bad for not using chopsticks). The napkin dispenser rips every napkin. The veggie potstickers were sold out. The bad: 1) The “steamed veggies” in the “build your own bowl” were completely raw. 2) They closed at least 15 minutes prior the posted closing time. Not only did they turn on ALL the lights while we were finishing up as a clear indication that they wanted us to get the hell out, they turned away a group of 4 and a group of 2 who arrived at least 15 minutes before close (with the open sign still on). 3) The ambiance could be an anime lovers dream, but the music completely killed the vibe. Rather than playing anything remotely related to the restaurant theme, loud, sad, American-made R&B blared from the speakers. We wanted to LOVE this place. Instead, I think we will just do carry-out, well before the posted closing time.

Google
The atmosphere? Wonderful. Cute little nerdy place. The food, though? Even chili oil couldn’t save it from the blandness, and neither of us even finished our food. The meatballs are also not meatballs in a normal sense - technically they are balls of meat, but the texture and flavor are nothing like any meat I’ve ever eaten. Really, save yourself the money and time, and eat something that actually has any flavor at all.

Google
This is a hidden gem in Jacksonville, inspired by Japanese anime comics! The decor is fantastic, and their noodle soups and appetizers are incredibly delicious. During my first visit, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that they serve udon and pho alongside ramen! I tried the Curry Laksa (a spicy coconut milk broth) – Singaporean noodles, and the Kaio Mami (a savory and sweet broth) – Filipino noodles. Both dishes exceeded my expectations! We also enjoyed the "Build Your Own Bowl" option, where you can add your favorite toppings to your chosen noodles. My gluten-free and vegan friends will definitely love this place! The prices are very reasonable, with small sides starting at $10, which was more than enough to fill me up. You can also opt for "Kaedama," which is extra noodles. If you haven't been here, its time for you to try it.

Google
Soupa Noodle has delicious food and an awesome vibe in the restaurant! They seriously have some of the best noodles I have ever had. The SOUPA MKRT I applied to be a vendor at was postponed multiple times, which was disappointing, as I really would’ve liked to be a part of it. (It was a bit difficult to get a refund on the market, but it was eventually resolved.)

Google
The customer service was amazing i went with my sis, we got the curry and a few sides with drinks, the atmosphere was very calm I loved every bit of it I’m definitely coming back

Yelp
I would come back to try their noodles/soups, but we tried their kami kaarage bowls off of grubhub because they were having a bogo deal, and I was not impressed. It's worth it if you do bogo, but idek if my picture does it justice because the actual quantity of food isn't that much. Like you just get a little layer of rice under the chicken. The chicken itself is pretty good in terms of juiciness and crispiness. But it's sooo salty. I was chugging water after because it made me so thirsty.

Yelp
Absolutely love love love this place! The service is always amazing and the food is even better! I always do a make your own bowl and it's delicious and always enough to take home.

Yelp
Our sons are obsessed with this place. Our son decided to go last night for his birthday. I ordered a build a bowl and had chicken and shrimp added. The chicken pieces were very hard and old. The rest of my family enjoyed their noodles but mine was horrible. I didn't send the noodles back because I was so disappointed. Just left my bowl there to die. It seemed like the chicken pieces were like days old. With the price of this place and how many times we've been we didn't expect it. We probably won't be back. At least not me.

Yelp
Soupa Noodle Bar is a great place to grab a bowl of ramen, especially if you want a full-on anime vibe. The decor is playful and unique--anime art on the walls, Japanese-style toy vending machines, cozy booths and tables, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Make sure to check out the variety of drinks (both alcoholic and non) available. Some great picks direct from Asia. Soupa offers a solid variety of broths ranging from pho and curry to miso and vegetarian. My go-to most everywhere is Tom Yum and I'll usually choose the Build Your Own Bowl option to get the ingredients that I prefer. The toppings are fresh, and there are plenty of add-ons like bok choy, steamed shrimp, bean sprouts, herbs, and more if you want to customize your bowl. Their appetizers are also worth trying. You can never go wrong with edamame or dumplings. Seriously tho, how is it that it took me until today to find out they have a RAMEN HAPPY HOUR? Check my picture that shows the Happy Hour menu and times (3-6 pm on Mon-Fri and 3-5pm on Sat-Sun). I had just finished a matinee movie at Tinseltown and wanted a little something to eat, and that was an extra surprise. All-in-all - service is quick, the staff is chill, and the whole place just has a fun, relaxed energy. Whether you're a ramen enthusiast or just in it for the anime vibes, Soupa definitely stands out from more traditional ramen places in Jax.

Yelp
Food: I think it depends on what you get. I'm very impressed by the short menu and authentic selection from different cultures. I got the tom yum and curry laksa bowls. Tom yum was spicy and sour (which is great), but I feel that it was missing galangal and kaffir lime leaves (important components of Tom yum). Yes it was sour, but it tasted more so by lime citrus rather than lime leaves. Also, it had pho rice noodles, not egg noodles. As a Vietnamese person, pho rice noodles should only be in pho, period! Tom yum didn't taste authentic. I don't eat curry laksa much, but it tasted great; maybe a Malaysian person can chime in? Service: self service pay and beverages. But they do bring food and clean up. Ambiance: it channeled my inner childhood for sure! A variety of anime art with the menu having anime-inspired names. This caters to a younger audience. This can be a pro and con for some people because usually the dirtier the restaurant looks, the better the food. This place may be too clean for some lol.

Yelp
If you like anime or even have a hint of liking to it, or just love noodles. It just hits different, the bowls were all super reasonably priced as well as being quite a lot of food. I got Pho-Base... gluten free and sirloin steak, super flavorful and it made the chilly day feel great

Yelp
A dragon ball z and anime themed ramen spot where you can customize your own ramen. They also have options you can order as is. They offer many ways to customize, giving multiple options for your soup base and plenty of options for protein, toppings and more. My recent order here I did build your own bowl option and got chicken with egg ramen noodles. The chicken was unappetizing, I got like 4 little chunks of chicken total and it was chewy fat and gristle, pretty gross and threw off the meal entirely. If I could change anything I would have simply not gotten any meat. It's definitely not the most impressive nor flavorful ramen I've ever had but it's also not terrible because of the speedy service and the options to customize. Not a regular spot for me and I think I need to explore more options to get a better experience.

Yelp
amazing noodles love the setting they even have bubble tea 1000000/10 would def recommend . The build your own bowl was a good experience !! Great for family dinner

Yelp
I loved Soupa Noodle Bar! We went for the first time on a chilly day in January and were greeted while browsing the menu. The employee explained how it worked and that it was happy hour meaning the bowls were only $10 each. I made my own with veggies and shrimp and also got the steamed shrimp shumai for only $5. I also had a boba tea. I think next time I will choose the actual premade veggie bowl since some of the veggies I clicked on the screen were left out of mine. My fiance got a premade bowl (I forgot which one, but he loved it) with the philly egg rolls app and a thai tea. We couldn't believe how huge the portions were! The ambiance is fun and the service was great. We will definitely go back! Great experience and great big bowls of soup!

Joe M.

Yelp
Ordering was kinda weird. No tonkatsu broth? I thought the appetizers were good and the ambiance is awesome. I love dragon ball Z.
google avatar

Delia W.

Yelp
I ordered a pickup. I'm not sure if we didn't grab the full order. But there was only 1 out of 5 soup bowls in the bag with my name. And the 5 broth bowls were stacked on top of each other and seemed to have melted the tops below them. That left a big mess unpacking everything. We don't live close so I can't go back today. We're eating pizza now (sad face).

Yelp
The food is always good here you can customize you ramen and if you're a Dragon Ball Z fan then you definitely need to check this place out. Super cool decor and you can get dragon balls out of a machine. Great friendly staff my kids (6 &2.5) love it !
google avatar

Emily M.

Yelp
Excellent the food was great. I'm not an anime fan. I brought someone who is. They liked and loved their appetizer and soup. They bought tokens to use the machines.

Yelp
Delicious noodles. Love the way it is set up as well. You order on a kiosk and they bring it out to you. Not much to say about service as you don't interact much. Broth was flavorful, the only thing I didn't care for was the pork... overcooked ap it was dry. But everything else was good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go, but if I was driving by I'd definitely stop in again. 7/10 recommend.

Khloe B.

Yelp
Frequently ate here but on Nov. 6th I ordered a bowl and before I even took a bite I saw a bug in the ramen. Went to the young lady in the front and she was very sweet and offered to remake the bowl and gave me a coupon. In my second bowl I took 2-3 bites and saw the head of ANOTHER bug and completely lost my appetite. It is extremely disgusting to not once have a bug in my food but TWICE in the same night with no accommodations. They have lost a customer.
google avatar

Christina S.

Yelp
Okay guys... if you are even thinking about trying this place... do it!!! I ordered a build your own kids ramen bowl. Yes, I decided on getting the kids size which ended up being the perfect amount for me! I got it delivered and requested the broth separate, which they did. I'm not sure if this is standard practice since it was my first time ordering from them. The order was well packed, came with utensils, and arrived at the perfect temperature! I am a vegetarian so I got tofu and veggies with the regular veggie broth. It was spectacular! Super flavorful and all of the topping I chose, including the veggies, were cooked perfectly. Definitely not too mushy which tends to happen with broth that's too hot. I will certainly order from here again and become a frequent customer!

Yelp
Had lunch at @soupanoodlebar in the Tinseltown area of Southside Jax. Started things off with some Crispy Shrimp Shumai and Senzu Beans. I love steamed shumai, but this is the first time I've had them deep fried. Most anything deep fried is going to be delicious and these were no exception. Crunchy tasty little morsels of shrimpyness. Will definitely get these every time. Next we got some Senzu Beans aka Edamame. These edamame are seasoned with tagorashi seasoning. A nice hit of heat right on the front end. On to the main course with the Kaio-Mami and oooh, Mami, this was good. It's a soy-based beef broth with egg ramen noodles, braised brisket, pork belly, classic ramen poached egg, bok choy, corn, Napa cabbage, crispy garlic, and scallions. That broth was smooth and rich, the bok choy still crunchy, the ramen noodles had a great toothiness to it. The pork was great. Some of that brisket was a bit tough and chewy, but had good flavor. I love the anime decor. If you're looking for a great noodle stop, go check out Soupa Noodle Bar.

Rússel W.

Yelp
Pretty cool place to have fast prepared food. But it's not original dishes. Lack of original ingredients and complexity. Everything is done lightly, fast and ok to the taste. Service was good. Very fast. That's about it.
google avatar

Tina C.

Yelp
Great customer service! Ordering was easy (kiosk ordering) ordered the build your own bowl and pork dumplings. Food delivery was extremely fast, fresh, delicious, and restaurant was extremely clean. They bring the food to your table with a smile. They offer to go containers. Can't wait to come back and try more options
google avatar

L.C V.

Yelp
I ended up here accidentally and wow. It's such cool place. Ambiance is so fun. And the food is so fun. Lots of options for a quick noodle bowl. Everyone's so fast and super sweet to customers too. I always see lots of people hanging out too!
google avatar

Evelyn G.

Yelp
The decor is all Anime like Dragon Ballz and other anime characters-very fun and colorful. My family and I all had different soups. They had different Asian inspired soup flavors that included Philippine, Japanese, and Korean. I ordered the Japanese Miso soup. The soup was flavorful and had a little heat. The soup was delicious. The only thing is that I wish it had a little more protein. The pork slices in the soup were very fatty and had enough for 2 small bites of meat. I might have added additional protein if I knew how little there was. Otherwise it was delicious. I would definitely go again!
google avatar

Gabi Y.

Yelp
My boyfriend & I have been wanting to check this spot out for a while. It was very cool with the decor and easy to order on the touch screens. Their happy hour deals are really good too so we're glad we made it. Everything was delicious but I will say I didn't love my pho. It was good but missing some traditional spices it seems so it didn't quite match the correct taste. Would love to try a different dish next t time!
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Love! Had the edamame and veggie dumplings. And the playlist was for anybody wanting to make a baby (weird, yes, for a restaurant), but hit for me and my husband. and we sat outside, which is always a great experience. We gave the staff a big kudos for the food and music.
google avatar

Zoe C.

Yelp
Revisited this spot and had to update my review! It was so yummy and fresh and loved enjoying all the artwork while we ate.
google avatar

Paula P.

Yelp
SO good! I loved the options of veggies for the soup. It's also so cute inside. A must visit if you like anime because the whole place is decked out! I will definitely stop by again if I'm in the area!
google avatar

Rebecca N.

Yelp
I wanted to bring my boyfriend, Luis to this place because he loves any and all kinds of soups. I felt blessed when we walked in and there was no huge line at the ordering kiosk. I ordered my soup and then I helped Luis order his. We dined in, visited, laughed and enjoyed a great meal. Then before leaving we took a few pictures. Pros:great food, atmosphere Cons:sometimes the lines are too long. I also am not fond of the kiosks. No one seems to want to assist on the order kiosks. Would I recommend? Most definitely.

Yelp
Good service and delicious food Kids love it tried the brownie and we loved it Even bought a souvenir
google avatar

Haden J.

Yelp
We don't go as often these days but the soups are consistently good as well as the sweet green tea. And I don't even usually like sweet but this is good stuff. The veggie spring rolls have declined - were greasy and had an off taste this time. We will still be back for soup. It's a fun ambience and the service is good.
google avatar

Makenzie A.

Yelp
The ambiance is very fun and engaging for those who love anime! I ordered a Build your own Soupa Bowl and it was perfect! Kids bowl was $10 while an adult bowl is $15 I found the kids bowl was plenty for me. The workers were friendly and kind.

Yelp
Fun cheeky date night vibes, full of playful anime ambience and dreaming up concoctions of ramen! The hostess was darling and supremely helpful in answering the plethora of questions we had about sauces and such. My date and I both decided on creating our own Build-a-Soupa Bowl!! I picked the KIMCHI- broth, egg ramen noodles, shrimp and egg protein, and toppings of basil, bok choy, carrots, and shiitake mushrooms. Plus I ordered a Thai milk tea with mango boba!! My drink was utterly delicious!! Served in a cute little cup and full of divine sweet tastes!! The mango boba burst in your mouth with extreme flavor surrounding the dainty cream tea. Such a delectable melding of flavors! You get big portions with the ramen!! Lots of broth and noodles!! My mushrooms were rubbery but the flavor of the broth was so succulent and spicy! So many flavor profiles going on in my mouth!! I would definitely try this broth again with different toppings. I wanted some more crunch and texture so I'd go for at least one topping that encompasses that! Overall, I was extremely happy with my meal. My ramen was full of big taste and gorgeous spices and my sweet drink was the perfect cherry-on-top accompaniment to my meal. I went home with a to go container of half my ramen for lunch the next day! Definitely try this cute noodle place!!

Yelp
Ka-me-ha-me-HOLY COW! As soon as I stepped into Soupa (Saiyan), I fell for it. Hard. The anime theme works so well and I was instantly entertained. I ordered ramen, takoyaki, Yuzu Shouchu. I paid, sat down and INSTANTLY Charmander (that's her name) came with my ramen. Miso broth with rice noodles, chicken, and accoutrements. This wasn't a spirit bomb, no. It was an umami bomb! Tons of flavor, not heavy, and delicious! I couldn't eat it all! Then the takoyaki came. Cooked perfectly, side of takoyaki sauce, just bliss. I thanked Charmander and the staff there. This will be a stop ANYTIME I go to Florida. I don't care how far away. This is a MUST NOT MISS place for anime and ramen fans!
google avatar

Yelp
Located near the Tinseltown movie theatre, Insomnia cookies and near southside blvd this place has a nice following! And for good reason! You order at a kiosk and pick a number. You can choose to eat there or opt for receiving your items to go. The veggie dumplings and ramen were so incredibly delicious! I have never had either as good as it was here! Kyle, host/server/amazing person was sooooo kind to explain how everyone was purchasing the orange balls in the machine and what they were! So cool and informative! I really appreciated how you could see the passion in his eyes as he was detailing the restaurant, how it is one of three, the concept behind it, etc! I can appreciate a great story and there is most definitely one surrounding Soupa! Cannot wait to return!
google avatar

Yelp
Huge ramen bowls! Ambiance is fun and lively. Chicken appetizer was delish. Would go again to try a different ramen flavor.

Yelp
First time reviewing Soupa after many visits. Not much has really changed since. I have had nothing but great experience every I come here. Staff is always friendly, food is always nice and hot. It's one of my go-to when it comes to good Ramen and food. November 19th & 20th of 2022, commemorates the 3rd year of Soupa's business success. They celebrate it by hosting Soupa Con popularized by what they're known for DBZ aka Dragonballs. The event was full of vendors, Cosplays, Anime stuff, Merchandises for sale, arts and more. Cheers Soupa to many more years of continued success!!!

Yelp
I recall going here for the first time during COVID. My neighbor recommended this restaurant to me, and I didn't know what to expect at this place. Once I entered this restaurant, I instantly fell in love with this place. I had no idea that it's Dragon Ball Z themed anime inside. I didn't know what to order at first, so I deducted to order a bowl of ramen soup. To my surprise, the ramen here is excellent and flavorful. The service here is always excellent as well. The ambiance of this restaurant is always excellent as I love all the anime they have on the walls. The parking here is slightly difficult to find, being that it is a shared parking lot and can be full sometimes. I'm definitely coming back here again.

Yelp
Great menu selections. Fresh ingredients. Splendid taste in every bite. Good vibes. Great place to eat.

Yelp
Decent fusion noodles. I liked that I could customize my noodles. The decors were pretty impressive. I had never seen such a giant Goku before anywhere (and I had lived in places with very dense Japanese community like LA)

Anette L.

Yelp
No side of soup for takeout. I ordered take out and picked up myself. didn't even think to check if they whole order was there because the place was not busy
google avatar

Rachael O.

Yelp
I did a build your own bowl with crispy garlic onion cilantro and bean sprouts with the miso base. I liked it but wasn't a huge fan of the meatballs. The pork was good though!
google avatar

Virginie L.

Yelp
First time here and the bowls are the BOMB!! The curry Laksa was the best bowl I've ever had, all the flavors are perfect together right amount of spices that compliment each other very well. It's curry but nit overbearing at all. There were about 4 shrimp and I felt like enough chicken also The dumplings was good nothing special but I didn't go there for that so not a big deal. The ordering was a little unusual that's the only reason I didn't give it a five star. The staff was helpful when they saw us there looking lost...lol
google avatar

Jordan R.

Yelp
Overall just mid-tier ramen. Nothing crazy, nothing super exciting. Rather overpriced for what it is. But the anime theme is fun. They did give me a whole egg in my ramen which apparently is a luxury nowadays, but after paying $40+ for 2 bowls of ramen and some fried veggie dumplings I hope I could at least get the other half. Someone did take initiative to offer help at the self-ordering computer if needed so "service" was fine. But after that you get someone bringing you the food and then it's all on you. I'd go back but I definitely wouldn't seek it out.
google avatar

Tonesha S.

Yelp
Disclaimer: I love ramen so my review may be a bit comparative. While the food was palatable it lacked the spice I was expecting (the menu listed it with 3 peppers, the highest available). The service was good. I loved the automated ordering and the food came fast. The ambiance was full on manga (including the tv screens, background playlist and decor)
google avatar

Raymond S.

Yelp
Could have been 5, but the service and flow is a bit wonkie. I left the first time I went in as the menu and set up was so confusing. I brought some friends and we challenged ourselves to get through the process. So worth the challenge, not a fan of the "mystery "meat" balls, but everything else was great. Boba was a hit, and our friend got a veggie raw dish. There is a place I did not notice, to make notes to your order, for special request. I did the Miso Raman, create your own and loved it. We ordered a side of dumplings that after checking three times we were told they had ran short, so they were defrosting some. The dumplings came long after we finished, but yum! worth the wait.

Yelp
I'm basing this review off of multiple visits because I visit this restaurant often. I'll start out by saying I am so thankful that there is a vegetarian option. A lot of ramen restaurants do not offer a veggie broth. However, since it is the only vegetarian option on the menu I wish they allowed substitutions/modifications for it. To get around this issue, you can choose to "build a bowl" but it's a dollar more which isn't a big deal. They also offer a few vegetarian appetizers such as veggie dumplings (my favorite). So why four stars? The biggest problem I have is the shortage of menu items at times. I come here at least once a month and a good majority of the time they're out of veggie dumplings, which really sucks when it's one of the only options for vegetarians. There were also a few times when I came & they were out of tofu. I was never notified about it until I got my bowl and realized there was no tofu. It would have been nice if I had an option to add extra vegetables or something. The only other complaint I have is that all the condiments come in little plastic to-go containers. When possible, I try not to produce as much waste so this makes it impossible. This might be a covid policy. Overall I love this place and it's one of the best for ramen in Jacksonville!

Yelp
So be ready to order from a computerized kiosk and then have a seat and wait for your soup to arrive. I had the kimchi -Kameha and it was really good. Lots of shrimp, beef and noodles, I left full and happy.

Yelp
First time here, a friend recommended the place since the other ramen places were so busy. So I decided to give this place a try, I love the unique and trendy anime theme. It makes me feel like I was in one of those ramen places in New York city. The wait though... Was ridiculously long!!! We waited in line for almost 45-50 minutes, then finally got to place our order at the kiosk. The food came out pretty fast, but it was a disappointment. The ramen tasted unfinished, no depth to the broth, the veggies were not cooked, the poached egg was under cooked, the strawberry Boba was super sour. I really wanted to like this place since it looks so fun, but I'm sadly to say, I may not return.

Yelp
I frequently visit Jacksonville and on one trip i found this gem and ever since then when I'm in the area i make sure to come by. As an anime fan when i walked in i was stoked! They had kiosk ordering which i like but employees were definitely there to assist in any way amazing service! I built my own bowl whip my partner ordered the pho-rieza. Both were super yummy! Decor was awesome they also have life size statue of gọi and a dragon ball dispensing machine. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone dragon ball fan or not you should stop by !
