"Souplantation is permanently closing every location, effective immediately. Headquartered in San Diego County, where the first Souplantation opened in 1978, the all-you-can-eat chain now numbers nearly 100 outposts across the country. Known as Sweet Tomatoes outside of Southern California, the chain faced financial challenges due to the pandemic and could not sustain operations, leading to the loss of 4,400 jobs. The buffet-style, serve-yourself concept also faced issues with customer concerns due to COVID-19." - Candice Woo

I like it but we went there on the weekend and it was packed Which we waited for 25 minutes to find a seat and also there was a hair in their sauce bar which after I Saw that I showed them and they say sorry and they changed the whole thing. Also we use coupon that save us around $10 which you can always find it on the Internet and use it.

I love a great salad bar buffet and this one was just fine. Came for lunch; maybe that was why the hot table was a bit more limited? They weren't too busy, dishes were cleared quickly, however getting clean plates took a few tries off the rack at first. The view from the covered porch is stunning. (I'm used to the Florida ones in not too scene strip malls) Overall nothing bad to say, nothing outstanding either.

Souplantation is my favorite restaurant! Its salad, soup, and bread are the best around. I especially love the clam chowder, pizza bread, and stuffed potatoes (grab the potato, sour cream, and bacon bits, then stuff it in the potato). This is a MUST TRY place! Come here once and you'll see what I mean. Once you get a taste of the awesome food here, you'll want to come back again and again!

It was good. There are many kinds of salads and soups. If you want a light meal, I recommend it. But I was worried if it would be okay to put hot soup in a plastic bowl.

Great food with lots of options. It gets really busy in the evening.

A great DIY salad/soup place at a good price. Selection is also guaranteed to be fresh

Always a great place to get soup, salad and a select variety of other food. The salad bar always appeared fresh and I love the chicken noodle soup. Their macaroni and cheese is also superb. The restaurant is big, so you rarely have to wait for a seat. Other than that, it is your standard buffet, but with much better quality of food.

I've eaten here on many occasions and I love their food! They even have breakfast on Sundays which is very tasty and a nice treat. The bathrooms are pretty nice and always decently clean, and the staff are always friendly. I left off one star because if it is busy (say around dinner time especially on weekends) they are sorely understaffed. The line will be out the door and even the people at the register have a 20 minute wait. They should really figure out a better way to seat people so that people don't get in line and get all their salads, and then have to stand there for 20 minutes to be seated. But that's only if it's really busy, otherwise the service is great, and so is the food!
