Breakfast was delicious. The sourdough bread was fresh and perfect, and you can tell they use very high quality ingredients. The atmosphere is super pleasant, perfect for starting the day with good energy. Highly recommended!

On Friday my boyfriend and I we went to Sour to try their Restaurant Week menu. I booked us a table a month ago. We came in on Friday evening, and didn’t even receive a normal table. I steady, a waitrer gave seats by the windowsill. When we asked whether we can get a normal table, he said it’s not possible, although many tables remained empty. He saw us, we looked like we are having a date, so that we wanted to have a table instead of windowsill seats. Frankly, I was quite disappointed before even trying festive dishes out. I asked for a wine menu but no one from the staff asked whether they can recommend something or didn’t ask for my ask. Then food came. Beef tartare were sour so as my leek. Beef bourguignon was great (according to my boyfriend) but my pumpkin in tahini spice (I think it was tahini) was too sour and didn’t taste quite fresh. Frankly, I don’t think we will ever get back. The service was terrible, quality of our food was debatable. I think there are many places out there which are more worth giving a try.

A great place with delicious Ukrainian food. The chicken Kiev is simply exemplary, the appetizers are tasty, and the bread with butter is a nice compliment. I also want to highlight the desserts – the cheesecake and honey cake were incredibly fresh and delicious.

Loved everything we ate - we came at 12 on a Sunday and were directly seated. The stuff knew English and the food was delicious. We paid 60€ for 2 ppl, considering that we each took a starter, a side, a drink and a main dish. 100% recommend to come there!

A lovely place with a nice interior and delicious food. The chicken Kyiv was tasty. We were also served a complimentary dessert. I‘d definitely come back 🫶🏻

We had dinner yesterday at Sour with my daughter, and it turned out to be the best dining experience we’ve had during our three days in Warsaw. We ordered the young carrots as a starter, Ukrainian borscht for my daughter, and beef ribs with potatoes and pickles for me. The flavors were truly impressive – you could clearly taste each ingredient separately. The meat, the carrots, the potatoes – all had their distinct flavor, which speaks highly of the chef’s skill. The only downside for us was that the food felt a bit too oily – both the borscht and the ribs. People who are sensitive to rich, fatty foods (like me) might experience heartburn afterwards, which I unfortunately did. But that’s more a personal note than a complaint. The atmosphere was absolutely lovely – cozy, beautifully decorated, clean, and with a wonderful aroma throughout the space, including the restrooms (which had great hand soap, hand cream, and diffusers). When the bathroom light stopped working, the staff quickly lit candles in candleholders – such a thoughtful touch! Service was excellent – the staff were warm, kind, and genuinely welcoming, which is rare to find. Although the wait for our food was a bit long (despite the restaurant being only half full), we didn’t mind at all, as the ambiance was so pleasant. As food lovers who follow Warsaw-based food bloggers, we came to Sour because it’s featured in many reviews – and it fully lived up to the hype. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates thoughtful, well-executed cuisine and a truly hospitable atmosphere.

Super cute place for coffee or brunch and it's always full, we had lucky we passed there and there was a place, we had only drinks because we already had brunch somewhere else but for sure we need to check the food here, we saw in other tables so many delicious plates.

Sour Bistro, Warsaw – My New Favorite Spot Everything about Sour Bistro just clicks—the food, the wine, the service. Every dish we tried was fresh, beautifully cooked, and so thoughtfully put together that each bite felt special. We had: Baked Dora with green peas, edamame, pistachio pesto, and chicory – light, bright, and full of flavor. Ukrainian Borscht with plum BBQ rib and garlic-dill herbs – comfort with a twist. Chicken Pâté with hazelnut, chili honey, toast, and Maldon salt – rich, silky, and perfectly seasoned. House Bread with lemon butter – I could eat this every day. Chicken Kiev with mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, vinaigrette, and aioli – the ultimate cozy dish, done beautifully. I eat super clean and always prioritize quality, and this place hits all the marks. The ingredients feel pure, the flavors are balanced, and you can taste the care in every plate. I’ll absolutely be back next time I’m in Warsaw—Sour Bistro is a must.
