South Bay Pizza

I honestly wanted to love this place given all the positive hype, but it failed to deliver in a huge way. We ordered two large pizzas (they are New York-style thin crust style), and while the pickup process was smooth and the food was ready on time (15 min since the call), the quality was a massive letdown. When we opened the boxes, we noticed the pizzas were cut extremely unevenly. Even worse, despite living only five minutes away, the pizza was not warm at all; the dough had absolutely no flavor. To make it edible, we had to reheat every single slice in our toaster oven or on a pan. For a total of around $60 without tip, paying nearly $3 per slice for food we had to cook ourselves is hard to justify. I really can’t recommend this spot.

Absolutely love this pizza! The personal size is perfect, it’s always ready right on time, and it tastes amazing. I also like that they include red pepper and Parmesan packets on the side. It’s not greasy and honestly tastes like homemade pizza. Definitely my favorite place to go!

Love this spot! We got a vegan pizza and it was very well seasoned, the crust was perfection and I saw the owner put a lot of care into making it. He was so kind to everyone that came in too! My only complaint is that he almost didn’t let us tip him. He definitely deserves it, so we snuck it in.

This place not only has sweet and amazing hardworking people, but it serves the Best Cauliflower crust pizza with Pesto!! Hands down!! The pizza has the perfect amount of crisp and every bite is flavorful!! Recommend 110%🔥🍕

Wanted to try 2 of their pizzas so we went ahead with there meat lovers and pastrami pizza, there meat lovers was really good had good flavor and was tasty but unfortunately their pastrami pizza was a joke it literally was a pickle pizza, my pizza had a few thin strans of pastrami on it. Sorry but pastrami pizza should not have more pickles than pastrami on it..🫤We were extremely disappointed with the pizza, so I guess we will stick with the Downey pizza Co if we want pastrami pizza.

They didn't have pizza by the slice but they did have the personal 6-in pizza. Crispy crust, decent price, really nice owner. I'll be back

Had a 14" Mighty Meaty Pizza take away. Pizza was nice but a little greasy, but that's down to my choice of topping. Service from Johnny was very good. My Pizza with tax and 20% tip came to $31

Order today for the superbowl and the food was a massive disappointment. Ordered an 18" pizza, 16 wings and Mac and cheese things. The pizza dough was super thin even though I ordered regular and not thin. Wouldn't have cared as long as it tasted good. The dough was flavorless and chewy. The wings were drenched in sauce and I absolutely loathe when places serve wings like that because by the time you eat them they get all soft and chewy. No good. The Mac and cheese squares were completely undercooked and bland. Had to put them in the air fryer at home because they were all soft like they were heated in a microwave or something. Definitely wont be back here. Total was $61 for those 3 things too. Nuts.

South Bay pizza continues to deliver as the best pizza spot around South Bay Los Angeles. I said a lot of food, service, among other things in my previous post. What stood out this time was like the owner Luis consistently delivers good service. He remembers his customers by name and always shows up with an infectiously warm energy. Bro baked us the best pizza around Christmas / New Year holiday for a movie night.

Terrible! Don't Eat!!! We ordered a 16" pizza, cinnamon knots, and a salad. First off, the whole order was $50+. We showed up and there was not really a welcome, more of a look. The pizza we picked up was cold and tasted like trash. The dough was super chewy and didn't seemed to be cooked properly. The ingredients tasted old and lacked flavor. I'm not sure how they cut their pizzas, but the pizza we received looked to be "cut" by someone who was blindfolded. The lines didn't line up with our half and half pizza, and the slices were not even close to being uniform. Some of the cuts weren't cuts but more indents on the pizza. Plus there were 2 random mushroom pieces on a pizza that didn't have mushrooms. The cinnamon knots were burnt beyond being edible, and the flavoring that they put on the knots tasted terrible. The only thing good was the frosting that's probably pre made. It was so bad, we stopped eating. Didn't even open the salad as we had to trash 90% of the order. I don't understand how what we got was so far from what you see online. You can taste that they probably have given up. Sad.

Luis (owner/operator) is the Best! Pizza tastes great and fast delivery. I love supporting small businesses so help SB pizza reach its goal to becoming SB's go to for local deliveries. Love the chicken wings too!! Try them! They have Vegan options!! Keep up the good work and excellent service, Luis! We will always support you.

Probably one of the worst pizzas I have eaten. Ordered pepperoni and jalapeño and a great white, both were just bad all around. The dough itself was chewy and gummy. Dominos and Costco pizzas are way better and I typically don't eat their pizzas and go for more gourmet pizza places. I would just avoid ordering from here. I was left completely disappointed and dissatisfied, especially since I used my pizza day on this subpar pizza joint.

I'm pretty basic when it comes to pizza. I don't like to add too many toppings, because one, I have my favorites, and two, because the more toppings you add, the less the pizza's texture coming out of the oven resembles a pizza in the way that I like it. And so I usually go with: - Cheese (South Bay Pizza makes an excellent cheese pizza) - Pepperoni (another good choice) - Beef and onions (one I really like) The place has that old school pizza joint charm going for it. A nice small strip mall with some parking spots available. Inside, you're greeted and made to feel welcome. Service is great and the food is delicious.

I must have came on the wrong day! The pizza I ordered was no where's as good as everyone raves about, the crust was THIN! And cheese and sauce was at a minimum, the only thing that was plentiful was the sausage .I ordered the Thursday Special and if that's considered a deal I'd hate to sed a regular priced pie. I drove 20 minutes from my home and won't make that mistake again. Oh and make the cauliflower bites a little bigger,

2 large pizzas and one small pizza came out to $76.34. That being said...the pizza was alright lol. I'm not sure what the raving reviews are for, this pizza wasn't OH SO AMAZING. But...it was good. I have nothing negative to say! For $30 a pizza, I was expecting much more flavor or soft bread or something to make me say "wow this is the greatest pizza" lol. The two people running the store were super nice. I believe they were husband and wife. I would probably try this place again if I were craving pizza and I was leaving the beach...just because of how nice they were :) (Go for the specialty pizzas if you try this place!)

Maybe it was an off day but this is the saltiest pizza ever. The least saltiest and tasty was the Great White but this was salty as well. With the many pizza shops around South Bay Pizza needs to strip up their game. The service wasn't anything special but pizza is takeout, what's there to serve. The lady was nice though. The other guy worker was a bit aloof. It's a small pizza shop again Togo only. No tables no eating. Support local pizza shops yes but per Dave Portney's "One Bite" this earns a 5/10.

Sheeeeeeesh if you know pizza this spot is the #1 spot in the area hands down ! Just ordered a Hawaiian, a pepperoni and wings all top ! Customer service is amazing ! Thanks Lue .

I was craving pizza and this place popped up on Yelp for me so my husband and I popped in after we placed an order over the phone (their website charges a $1 processing fee). They have parking conveniently in front of their pizzeria. We walked in right as Luis took our pizza out of the oven. He was very friendly and cordial when we picked up the pizza and after we devoured the pizza! He took our empty pizza box once we were done stuffing our faces. The MVP pizza was... spectacular! The crust was crunchy, the added pepperoni had crispy edges and my husband and I love saucy pizzas and this one definitely delivered! It quickly made it to my top 3 pizzas I've ever had! I can't recommend this place enough and I'm so sad I can't try out their other pizzas until next time I'm back in LA. So please, try this place out and eat an extra slice for me haha!

Owner went above and beyond for us! Food was yummy, we went with the supreme pizza. 10/10 would go back and recommend to others!

What a cute shop. Smells good as walked by. The service is nice. Got the half Margherita and half meat pizza. The pizza dough is very fresh and they use nice ingredients. It's thinner and not too greasy. Also a little chewy texture which is nice to snack on. One of the better places for pizza in South Bay.

South Bay Pizza is unbelievably good! Truly the biggest hidden gem of the South Bay, even if it wasn't for their amazing tasting pizzas & salads, their service is next level! I went in and was a little disappointed initially to find out they didn't have slices (since I wanted to try a few options for their specialty pizzas), but every pizza seems to be pretty great here. On the service side, the gentlemen working there heard us talking about how it's our first time and we wanted to try some slices, but they didn't have them, so he gave us a free upgrade on the pizza size, we didn't know until we picked it up when it was ready and he told us he wanted us to have leftovers and a good experience. The vibe is pretty cool, but there's not much seating except for two small tables outside with 2 seats each. It also has a nice little parking lot, so that was a pleasant surprise. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Value: 4/5 Overall: 4.5/5

The crust is thin, flavorful, and delicious--I really enjoyed it. I did wait about 45 minutes for my pizza, but there was only one person working and he was clearly doing his best. He seemed genuinely apologetic, and the pizza itself was worth the wait. I'll definitely be back, and I hope he gets more help in the future. My daughter waited 45 minutes with me and she had to pee really bad, but the pizza was so good she said it was worth it.

I absolutely love finding local hole in the wall, this is my first time at southbay pizza and the guy that was at the register was so helpful and very nice . I got their large pepperoni pizza and some Thai wing and they both complement each other very well. The best part is that the pizza is not grease and it only took them to freshly prepared it in less then 20 min. There is only about two seating so it would be best to keep the part at 4 and less. They have a really cool arcade game inside too. I definitely will be returning.

I flew here from Miami, craving for fresh pizza and this is it. It's perfectly well done and it's more affordable than what I got from Miami. The service is great. I visited there twice and I would come visit again soon!

They serve great-quality pizzas for everyone in mind from vegan to meat lover's favorites. it's all here in Redondo Beach located off PCH! Their customer service is impeccable! Lue is so amazing and kind. You can ask for their heart-shaped pizzas, available upon request. The vibes inside are and outside are spectacular. Parking is easily accessible in front of the pizza shop entrance.

My son loves this place! He's only 4 but he's picky about his pizza - and this place meets his needs. We get our hair cut Nextdoor at Salon Farouk, and know we are grabbing food here before heading back home. The crust is delicious, perfectly crisp and never soggy. The cheese and sauce are such a perfect blend of sweet tangy deliciousness- it's no wonder my kid likes it! The pizza is always fresh and I love that I can order online so it's ready right when we are heading home. The staff is great, always friendly and happy to see us! We will continue to get pizza here when we are on this side of town!

One of my favorite spots to grab a Pizza! Always consistent, very friendly staff and easy to access! My go to is always the Great White Pizza. It comes with Alfredo sauce, Chicken, Bacon and Red Onion. Their wings are a great size with tons of meat and they have many different options! The pepperoni pizza I ordered was tasty but cut very poorly. I had to grab between slices and tear them down the middle to try to pull them apart and this caused uneven slices and toppings and cheese falling off. The lemon pepper wings were also extremely salty as if the rub was dumped on top of the wings instead of evenly seasoned.

Great food. Quick. Reasonably priced. Usually get a pepperoni pizza and the parmesean chicken wings. We are always happy with everything . Thank you so much for making dinner easy for me!

I had one of the worst delivery experiences ever with South Bay Pizza. They sent me the wrong order - someone else's food - including a pizza loaded with pepperoni and sausage, another with pineapple, and another like a supreme with all kinds of meat. I do not eat meat and usually order veggie pizzas. The only items they got correct were the chicken nuggets and the salad -- but even those were awful. The nuggets were ice cold, and the salad had stale veggies with crumbled, wet spinach. When I called, a man named Jose said he was "in charge" and asked for my address, but never once apologized for the mistake. Even if I could eat the pizzas, they looked soggy and unappealing. Everything about this order was a disaster: wrong food, no apology, poor quality, and zero care for the customer. Save yourself the frustration and your money - do not order from South Bay Pizza

Customer service was very friendly. This is a takeout place only. The veggies seemed fresh. The meats were good quality as well. The ranch isn't that delicious but the pizza was amazing. Great vibes.

I'm vegan and finding good pizza spots isn't always easy but this place blew me away! I ordered a personal vegan pizza and it was incredible perfect crust, flavorful sauce, and super fresh toppings. The staff was A1 from start to finish friendly, attentive, and made me feel genuinely welcome. The whole vibe was clean, chill, and inviting. Definitely my new go-to pizza spot. Highly recommend to anyone (vegan or not)!

Soooooo badddd... if you do anything, do NOT order the buffalo cauliflower wings. Over-battered, undercooked cauliflower with barely any sauce... genuinely a singular drizzle. Pizza was not good... there's no other way to put it. I'd say, save your money and go somewhere else!

Came here for lunch and was hands down the best pizza I've had in a long time!!! We had the Buffalo chicken pizza and the Hawaiian-both flavors 10/10 fast service amazing pizza would recommend in a heart beat!!!

Stayed a couple nights in Redondo wanted a quick pizza ordered the all meat or meat lovers pizza and was blown away. Piled with tons of ingredients and just overall tasty and delicious. They were quick to prep it and were really friendly. Highly recommend.

Here is an update to my original review about not being able to place orders with the business I am grateful to Luis for reaching out to me almost immediately in a private setting to apologize for my experience and provide more context to me around the situation. I also think it speaks volumes that he chose to apologize publicly to my review without feeling the need to defend his business or antagonize me in his response We have since returned and are happy to report that the food is still as delicious as we recall from previous visits but there has never been a question about the quality of their food. From this experience I've learned that there is a guarantee on the service they provide as well We will continue to order from South Bay Pizza and support this small local business

Stop by because I was craving pizza and wanted a quick pick up and I'm so glad I got to try South Bay Pizza. They offer a lot of different sizes and each size comes with 8 slices. I opted for pepperoni, classic but so yummy! The person helping us out that day was very friendly and helpful! I would definitely come back! There's also lots of parking in this area too, which is a plus!

Best pizza in the South Bay. I ordered a meat lovers pizza and I was not disappointed. On top of the pizza being delicious, the customer service that Luis (the owner of South Bay Pizza) provided was excellent. Luis was very friendly and answered every question we had about the pizza.
