A Guide to D.C.‘s Juice Bar Scene | Eater DC

"This growing cold-press juice company and cafe now has nearly a dozen locations in D.C. and Virginia, from Del Ray to Georgetown to Falls Church. (A newly-announced outpost in Maryland’s Pike & Rose development is on the way too). Order cleanses or juice packs online, and five percent of each juice bottle purchase goes to the brand’s nonprofit arm Fruitful Planet." - Missy Frederick

I was heading back toward DC on I-66 when I decided to make a quick snack stop and remembered that I had previously seen a South Block right off Westmoreland St. I ordered a Loaded PBJ Açaí Bowl through the app, exited the highway, found parking easily, and ran inside to pick up my order. This was my first time at this particular location, and overall, it was a solid experience. The bowl was ready and waiting when I arrived, and the staff seemed friendly and efficient. There’s a nice outdoor seating area if you want to hang out, and some indoor seating as well. Prices were in line with other South Block locations, but I did notice a few unique items for sale that I haven’t seen at other stores. Always fun to spot something new. All in all, a convenient and pleasant stop—would definitely swing by again.

Google
EFC South Block is on point! I was greeted with a smile by Vivian and Bea. They suggested the featured chocolate covered strawberry bowl. Yum, yum. The team of Viv, Bea, Adah, Ana and Maria buzzed around the joint taking orders and making all feel welcome. The place is clean and the music was bumping. EFCSB for the win!

Google
Clean atmosphere. Ordered the super green and size large and was $12 with tax. Definitely expensive. Drink was good though.

Google
I had an especially good day today with the loyalty program in the app, I wasn’t even tracking my stars and got $5 off automatically applied. And the best peanut butter blast protein smoothie ever (and they are consistently very good) warning its habit forming. Update - their mermaid super smoothie is also hitting really well. Service is always pleasant and courteous!

Google
South Block is a relaxed spot that specializes in health-conscious options. Their menu, though small, offers great prices and includes cold-pressed juices, healthy toast, smoothies, and acai bowls. I had the pleasure of trying the peanut blast smoothie with added bananas, and it was absolutely delicious. The customer service was top-notch, with speedy and attentive service. The interior design was pleasing, and the establishment was impressively clean. I'm eagerly anticipating trying their acai bowls next time. I was so engrossed in the deliciousness that I forgot to snap a photo of the smoothie!

Google
The best. I moved to California and there was nothing as good. You hear me? Better than CALI! I just moved back and am so happy to be a loyal SB customer again

Google
“I love going to South Block—the smoothies and bowls are amazing! Their current summer menu is even better than I expected.”💓🍋

Google
I was there on last Thursday and young lady that served me was so sweet, I’m not sure about her name but she helped me to choose the best bowl I ever ate, so love this place and will definitely come back.

Yelp
I dropped my smoothie on the floor as soon as I received it, what a klutz! The staff cleaned up the mess right away and gave me a replacement smoothie. Great customer service. I was so embarrassed. Thanks again for how you all handled the situation. Cheers!

Yelp
High quality acai bowls and smoothies. I come here mainly for the acai bowls though. Parking can be difficult on a busy day as you will have to find a spot on the street. I agree with some of the reviews that the wait time for your bowl seems to take 15-20 mins. I was in store and decided to order on the app instead to use a reward and my order was finished after that duration of time. If I knew it would take that long I would've placed an order before I made my drive there but didn't want my acai bowl to melt in case it was made fast, which it wasn't. Regardless though I really enjoy the bowls here and was trying the new "Gnarly Nutella Bowl" on this visit. Delicious and large portion.

Yelp
Extremely disappointed with my experience at South Block. The staff was not only rude, but their behavior came across as blatantly racist. From the moment I walked in, I felt unwelcome and disrespected. It was clear that others were treated with more patience and kindness, while I was met with attitude, dismissiveness, and cold service. This kind of treatment is unacceptable anywhere--especially in a place that claims to be part of a diverse community. I won't be coming back, and I hope management seriously addresses how their staff interacts with customers of all backgrounds.

Yelp
My go-to spot for quality coffee & açai bowls ! They always have great service, it can be a little slow at times, though. They don't have cold brew, but their espresso is pretty strong! The acai bowls are better priced than Smoothie King or another chain, and to me, they taste a lot better. I tried the avocado toast & they did let me know that the toast is pretty small, but I was still a little surprised at how small it was & how little topics they put in it after I received it. It was decent, but I wouldn't order it again. Anything else on the menu, you can't go wrong :)

Yelp
I was craving an açaí bowl this morning and thought I'd stop in this spacious (9:35am) restaurant. They had a nice selection, even seasonal choices like pumpkin for the fall. I wanted to try the mini warrior bowl, and I really liked it: with the fresh strawberries, blueberries, banana and granola. Really hit the spot this morning and I loved the healthy filling breakfast. The mini was perfect for me. I will definitely come back! So good and refreshing!

A A.

Yelp
I always enjoyed their avocado toast with egg-- it was a generous portion, and altho there seemed to be an embargo on forks there, I would bring my own. Nice to sit outside in warm weather as long as the delivery trucks were not unloading supplies and loading their exhaust stench into the air. But last week when I asked a question of an employee, she read the menu as she unloaded a fast string of Spanglish -- prounouncing everything with a thick accent. I then asked her if I could order avocado toast with a poached egg on it. Her answer..."A..soft...boiled...egg? Nothing more to like here. I went elsewhere, had a great avocado toast with a soft cooked egg and a good portion of Parmesan.

Sam S.

Yelp
My order took a long time, and besides that, my bowl of acai is pure water, My visit was not at all pleasant, I paid a lot for nothing.

Nichole H.

Yelp
terrible customer service, I went today for dinner, and I had to wait for so long. I never want to go again ...

Yelp
When I initially heard about South Block, I thought it was going to be an overpriced açaí bowl place... but it's a great açaí bowl place! I come here every so often after work as it's less than a 10 minute walk from the East Falls Church metro station. I've had multiple items at this location, but my favorite is the Mermaid bowl. I initially picked it because I like the color blue, but it's so tasty and filling! The coconut meshes well with the fruit and the crunchiness of the granola and seeds that's in it. Fruit is average but is refreshing. Love the mango banana combo that's blended in this. $12 for this bowl and I'm always full after it! It's pretty empty when I come so never worry about seating. People tend to take things to go here. Utensils are durable and packaging is nice. Employees are friendly! Sometimes, it takes a while for the items to be made... but I typically only see two people working there at a time so it makes sense. Definitely recommended for anyone who wants a smoothie or açaí bowl. May seem overpriced but I think it's worth it.

Yelp
Takes forever. Bad customer service If i am paying a premium i have expectations which were not met, like a nice staff and quality food. What i ordered was fine, not coming back for sure

Yelp
Their green smoothie is out of this world. I've tried to recreate it, and no chance. So happy they are walking distance!

Amanda H.

Yelp
I love the smoothies, but they take forevvvver at this location. I always order at least 10-15 minute ahead of time, and I almost always have to wait at least another 10 minutes. And it's never all that busy - there aren't a bunch of orders stacked up. And when I check on the status, I get a blank look and no recognition that it's been 30 minutes. A couple of times, after waiting 10 minutes, once I finally asked, it turned out my order was just sitting on their side of the counter.
google avatar

Jessica P.

Yelp
I love south Block and come here at least 3 times a week. I always usually order the PBJ bowl split in half. But today and the other day the split bowl/ mini bowl is not even half full. At least at the Falls Church location... disappointing
google avatar

Oliver C.

Yelp
I love the açaí bowls and the cold pressed juices made of various fruits and vegetables. You also can't go wrong with the vinegar shots. I think the seasonal "cavenog", along with the Incredible Mylk and Caveman Mylk, are wonderful breakfast shake options. Occasionally they will discount the juices and drink bottles when it is near the expiration date. Give them a try!
google avatar

Emma Z.

Yelp
I love South Block because my boo loves South Block. There is nothing that perks up his morning like an açaí bowl to go. It's a fairly large, filling portion. The açaí bowl has a smooth consistency that is well complemented by the fruit and crunchy toppings that are offered. I think açaí bowls can be an acquired taste, but if you like them, it's definitely worth stopping by here to give this place a try.
google avatar

Jasmine A.

Yelp
Love love love South Block! The açaí bowls are so refreshing! It's a great post workout meal or something to eat on a regular day. Everything is fresh and made to order. I usually get the PB&J bowl but this time I got the Nutella bowl. The Nutella bowl is like a dessert. It was really refreshing and I loved the Nutella on top of the strawberries and bananas. The açaí base was thick and not watery so it does not melt quickly. The granola was AMAZING! I think it's my favorite part of the layerings. It's nutty, crunchy, sweet but not too sweet. It's also gluten and dairy free. The fruits were fresh. It was a perfectly balanced bowl. Each scoop had the açaí base, granola, fruit and Nutella. Besides açaí bowls, they also offer juices, smoothies, bowls without an açaí base, avocado toast and dog friendly treats/bowls. There is a underground menu which I have yet to try! Also, if you're every in a rush/ on the go, you can place an order online. Note: Cashless business

Yelp
So happy to report that South Block is up and running during the pandemic. Regular updates are provided to their mailing list about their COVID19 precautions, specials, and community service efforts (especially to essential workers and first responders these days!) Takeout and delivery is going fairly well. This was our third or fourth time in the past two months we've gone for pick-up/takeout. Staff at the register were masked, and orders nicely bagged. Smoothies and bowls were divine, as always. Happy to support this fantastic local business (still hoping they branch out into Maryland!)

Yelp
I was thirsty from walking the W & OD Trail and stopped to get a bottle of juice from the fridge. The price wasn't marked and I turned out to be almost $10! I was really thirsty and it was tasty and hand pressed but not $10 good. They have some interesting food and drink options and I might come back and check them out but that bottle of juice was a little too rich for me.

Jovaughnna H.

Yelp
I frequent this place all the time and they never failed. My favorited is the Acai bowl. the fruit is Organic and you get a nice portion for the price. However, on June 16, 2024 I ordered a Warrior Acai Bowl and it was different this time. I don't know if they was short on fruit or what but my bowl was full with the acai and only a small portion of fruit on top. Also, the strawberries and bananas was cut super small. Again, I love this place but I don't know was going on that day.
google avatar

Casey Lyn B.

Yelp
This is my first time trying an Acai Bowl ever, so I didn't know what to expect. Staff was friendly and great! I ordered the PB&J Bowl. I thought it was good! I just wish there were more blueberry, banana, and granola, but then again is Acai Bowls supposed to be mainly the "liquid"? I don't know what I'm talking about here.. but its just a personal preference for me. This was a HUGE filler for me. This order got me full for most of the day. Can someone explain to me why the prices seem too expensive? I would like to understand and change my mindset that this place overcharges. BUT I would recommend this place to the Yelpers out there. Ps. I took my order home, so when you see my photos, it was not taken at the cafe.
google avatar

Lianna N.

Yelp
Tried some of the smoothies and cold pressed juices here while I was on vacation and my brother was living in the connected apartments. While the prices are alarmingly high for a midwest gal like me ($2-3 more per drink) They were good and I suppose the prices do mimic the high end places in my own city. They have a lot of selection and will not let you down with choices of smoothies and smoothie bowls. Expect to spent around $8-10 for your treat though. I think they especially kill it since they are next to purrebarre and an apartment. I recommend the watermelon and mango smoothies, and the green cold pressed juice.
google avatar

Samantha T.

Yelp
I am OBSESSED with the tropi-kale smoothie. So refreshing and perfect. I will crave this smoothie forever until I'm back in Arlington to order it again.
google avatar

Gwen B.

Yelp
My favorite acai bowl in the area, South Block never disappoints. I've traveled far and wide to try other açaí bowls but other than LA, my South Block always brings me back for more. I typically get both a smoothie and an açaí bowl. The avocado butter is my favorite smoothie (healthy and extremely filling). My favorite acai bowl is a flip between the warrior bowl or the Nutella bowl depending on my mood. The portions and açaí at south block are always awesome for the price. I get at least 2 meals out of the bowl so $11 isn't outrageous. The service is always fantastic and I love the ordering system on the app. Definitely recommend South Block if you're craving a good smoothie or açaí bowl!

Yelp
South Block's smooth and tasty açaí bowls are surprisingly filling. This spot is conveniently located right in the area of Arlington/Falls Church that houses several other great businesses -- Chanson' Tails, One More Page Books, Yume Sushi, Yayla Bistro, etc. It's a bit no-frills in terms of the setup and ambiance, but the staff is perfectly friendly and it's a great place if you want a light bite or to feel like you're doing something healthy for yourself... unless, of course, you're me, and you naturally opt for the unhealthiest bowl they offer, haha. I got the mini Nutella bowl and their avocado toast on my last visit here and both were delicious. They put a generous sprinkle of sea salt and red pepper flakes on their avocado toast (it's just one slice, so not tremendously filling), and the bowl was like a delicious dessert with a splash of superfoods, hehe. The bowl size is pretty generous even as a "mini." I'm sure I'll be back for more goodness soon - their juices have always intrigued me too but I haven't yet had a chance to try. Oh well, something to aim for next time!

Eunice N.

Yelp
very friendly staff and lots of seating inside and outside! we got the warrior bowl and it was pretty solid. the acai was a bit tart for my liking but my boyfriend loved it. lots of street parking outside.
google avatar

Ryan C.

Yelp
This is usually my go to South Block on the weekends. The parking situation is usually tough in the mornings/afternoons and you have to pay most of the time. It can sometimes be super packed here but I can always find at least two open seats. They're very consistent at this location. I've ordered here dozens of times and always get my usual PB&J bowl. Perfect amount of toppings and is never icy, always smooth. They've never really missed on anything, love their toasts when I don't feel like making breakfast or I'm extra hungry. The loaded toast with the hard boiled eggs is very solid. Unless parking prices go up astronomically, we'll keep coming here.
google avatar

Kim R.

Yelp
This is my favorite post-workout meal & girl date spot! I recently started working out at the PureBarre directly across the street and I find myself here at least 1-2 a week. I love the outdoor seating, the long high top, bar seating and booths inside, the condiments table (honey, chia seed, sweeteners, silverware etc...), and the friendly staff! Their Acai Bowls are what I REALLY come here for but I have also enjoyed their drip coffee and caveman smoothies! Depending on my mood, I fluctuate between the Killer B, Warrior, & Almond Butter bowl. You really can't go wrong! They are pretty big and fill me up for at least a few hours. They have a mini-bowl option now which I have also tried but it was way too small for me to fill me up for lunch. Would be a great snack though! Can't wait to make it back in later this week! Pro tip: Skip the hourly parking and park in the FREE parking garage across the street

Yelp
I love Southblock! Naturally delicious and nutritious smoothies and smoothie bowls, with granola that is straight from heaven. I recommend the Golden bowl with turmeric and ginger. It has just the right amount of spice and wholesomeness. I've tried a good amount of the bowls but always get ones with the housemade cashew milk...it's life changing. Like their granola....which I already mentioned but is worth repeating. I also like their smoothies- I recommend the green caveman! I usually add the cocoa nibs to my bowls because I love chocolate and it gives me my daily fix without making me feel too guilty. You can ask them to blend in chia seeds for free or just add them at the bar yourself. I love that. I love how things are prepared in front of you, and no mystery PUMPS OF WHATEVER like at other smoothie places that preach nutrition!!! They also make coffee and drinks- I like their iced black coffee and add cashew milk for a quick pick me up. I don't like the taste of oat milk- that's just me- but it's cool they offer it so I had to try it. Customizations are easy and the lady at the cashier today was very friendly. The only downside is price at this establishment overall. Just getting a bowl and kombucha was $17...that adds up! So make sure you register your number to get points towards a free smoothie! I tried the cherry blossom kombucha today and it was marvelous! I also love some of their pressed juices, worth a try! Outside seating is marvelous on a sunny day like today! It makes me feel good to have a filling thick smoothie base with delicious fresh toppings. It is a fantastic size and you don't have to feel like you spent $$ on something that wasn't worth it. Health and good nutrients are absolutely worth it. I hate the parking at this location, it's all pay to park and can be full. Only negative. If you haven't tried it..what are you waiting for?! You'll be hooked!
google avatar

JJ R.

Yelp
Good place. Much nicer looking than their Vienna location which is just weird. This one is nice. Their bowls are worth 4-5 stars. Their prices are very high which dings the rating a bit but mostly they are cash free?! That is discrimination against people who have poor credit or have been the victims of identity theft or bankruptcy and don't have credit cards! I know this is a growing trend. Maybe they don't trust their employees and worry about cash theft. Maybe the IRS penalized them. Who knows but not taking the currency of the United States is just discrimination and wrong. So now it's even worse. They now don't take phone calls and figuring out the number to text them is not easy! Good product. Bad customer service.
google avatar

Susan G.

Yelp
The best açaí bowls around and the staff at this location is always so friendly and welcoming.
google avatar

Carol A.

Yelp
Stopped in for An açaí bowl. This is only place that has them that I've found so far in VA. Price is comparable to other places I've been too. I do think they kind of skimp on toppings and granola though. The few times I Visited before they seemed to give more toppings and this time there barely was any granola, they give you a lot of the smoothie base though. I just think for the price there can be some improvement of the ratios of toppings to smoothie.
google avatar

Casey S.

Yelp
Yummy, trendy, healthy, quick and casual. South Block is a good option if you're looking for any of the above. It's known for its wide array of acai bowls as well as smoothies and other simple healthy snacks like loaded toasts and sandwiches. It's very vegan friendly as well. Only downside is the prices are high for what seem to be fairly simple foods. My acai bowl was $13, which I felt I could have easily recreated at home, but I suppose you're paying for the vibe and quality of ingredients. Customer service is always nice and turnover fast.
google avatar

Amy S.

Yelp
Delicious açaí bowls and decent portion size. The açaí wasn't too tart like other places I've been to. I got the California bowl without granola and a cappuccino. Plenty of street parking and seating inside. I'll definitely be back to try other bowls!
google avatar

Tory H.

Yelp
Came here on a weekday and it was quite busy. I ordered the PBJ bowl and the Almond Butter bowl to go. While waiting, I noticed that the seating inside is quite limited but they do have some tables outside where you can sit. This place also serves coffee but I wouldn't say it's the best place to quietly study unless you like the sound of blenders going off. The bowls are a tad pricy but considering the ingredients they use and where they get it, it makes sense. Let me just say, these acaí bowls are FILLING! It might not look like it at first but they are. Plus the best thing is you don't have to feel like crap after!! I had the Almond Butter bowl and it was delicious. This was my first time trying an açaí bowl and I'm so glad I did. I will definitely come back to try other things off the menu.
google avatar

Annie P.

Yelp
I was having a rough morning and the Warrior acai bowl from South Block cheered me up. I'm a huge fan of acai bowls because it's half the guilt -- it's sweet enough to satisfy your sweet tooth without all of the processed sugar. The portion is filling and you can also add honey (complimentary) for added sweetness. It comes with pineapple juice, but you can also substitute for guava juice. I'll be back to try their other bowls. The staff was very friendly and was accommodating to the substitutions and add-ons I made for my bowl, which I appreciated. In addition to acai bowls, they also serve juices, smoothies, sandwiches, healthy snacks, and other drinks! This location is literally right down the block from Chasin' Tails off N Westmoreland Street. There's mainly street parking, but if you're lucky, you can grab one of the few retail spots in the garage attached to Chasin' Tails.
google avatar

Eunice Y.

Yelp
On the border of Arlington and Falls Church City is a cute little organic coffee shop that also doubles up as a smoothie, juice and açaí bowl shop. Get your breakfast or lunch here and feel energized. PROs: 1. Cold pressed juices - made in house 2. Açaí bowls (7 choices) 3. Coffee, specially DRIP coffee 4. AVOCADO TOAST (amongst others) 5. Sandwiches for days 5. Unlimited Chia seeds on the counter 6. WIFI and Seats But the real reason why I would come back is for their Almond Butter bowl. This healthy mixture of almond butter, açaí, bananas and tons of blueberries hits the spot and FILLS YOU UP! CONS: 1. If you are trying to do work with some peace and quiet this is not your place. The blenders are going off every five seconds 2. If it gets busy the seats quickly fill up quickly and can get a otter loud
google avatar

Christina L.

Yelp
This is one of my new favorite places to come for a smoothie bowl or açaí bowl, and I live close to here so I come here all the time, so it's dangerous for my wallet. This location is bigger than the one in Clarendon, so I like it better, and there's a lot of parking either on the street or in the parking garage next door. They have free WiFi here and there are seats both inside and outside and tables if you want to work or read for a little bit, which is always appreciated. It can get loud with the blenders going off, but it's not as bad as the Clarendon location which is smaller and where you're close to the blenders. I've gotten the açaí bowl here which is delicious and they have various iterations with different toppings and nut butters. I've gotten the Almond Butter Bowl, which has almond milk, açaí, blueberries, bananas, granola, almond butter and cacao nibs, and it's wonderful. It's big enough to share with one other person if neither person is starving. My favorite is the Evolution Bowl ($11), which is spinach, avocado, banana, almond milk, peanut butter and topped with strawberries, honey, goji berries and some other seeds. You can also add chia seeds (self-serve, where the napkins and other condiments are). This keeps you full for a while because of the peanut butter and avocado and is my go-to bowl when I want a quick lunch that still feels healthy and indulgent all at the same time. I could probably eat this once a week. Overall, this is one of my favorite places to come, either in the morning on the weekends with my husband, solo on a weekday, or whenever. So glad this place exists and has so many different options for smoothies and bowls.

Yelp
First visit to this establishment and we really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was great and the staff was friendly. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The sun was beaming but it was a really nice day so we sat outdoors. I had the Aqua bowl. It is an acai bowl with blueberries, strawberries, coconut and pepitas. It was so delicious and refreshing! They also serve other acai bowls, coffees, teas, smoothies foods and juices. I'm only in VA for a few more days but I am considering going back to South Block if I am in need of coffee or tea. If ever in this area and you need coffee, a bowl or somewhere nice to sit outside and vibe, this is the place.
google avatar

Jen J.

Yelp
Good coffee, good juices. And I really like that they have a full "toast" menu that's a bit different than most coffee shops! A solid breakfast pick as an alternative to bacon and eggs!
google avatar

Veronica C.

Yelp
I'm such a fan of South Block! The only place I know that serves Matcha Tea the way I like it! The Falls Church location is much spacier than the one in Clarendon. So if you're looking to dine in, go here. It's quiet and peaceful enough to catch up work or read a book. They are also pet friendly! I've tried out their one-day cleanse and definitely was worth the try. It's $55 and you have 2 choices. You could get it ready made which is located in their store fridge or pre-order online. If you order online, you'll have to do it 3 days in advance. Their juices are made fresh that day. All of their ingredients are organic. These juice do expire!! So read your bottle carefully!! Even though my cleanse was only for one day it did not make a huge difference in my body however if you were to continue, I guaranteed there would see a difference. But the one day was to test out on how my body would react and of course my body went to detox mode. I did not get sick. I had no allergic reaction. Basically I just followed the instructions, which is labeled on the bottle, and my body went into cleanse mode. Pricing is moderate because we are dealing with organic items. I recommend to try the cleansing for one day. If you're ok with each flavor (which all is delicious for me!) then go for 3-day cleanse. I haven't tried out their other refreshments and food but the chia pudding. It was soo good and a great snack for midday. Definitely worth giving this place a try.

Yelp
Generally everything I get here is good. Bowls, coffee and juices. The breakfast sandwich I got today was a big miss. The egg was burnt hard, and the sandwich was completely tasteless.
google avatar

Tiffany H.

Yelp
South block has been a great healthy go to for smoothies and your açaí bowl fix. They have some paid parking in front and a parking garage around the corner. Small spot to sit in but they still have space to have a quick conversation. I would pass on their savory foods as the sandwiches didn't seem super filling
google avatar

Sunny X.

Yelp
I tried their toast fro the first time and it was great! I love the blueberry one more than the avocado as it's full of crunchiness from Cao I nibs, bee pollens but also juicy from all the blueberries (very generous). It matched so well with the almond butter and a drizzle of honey! I will definitely come back for more. I still like the avocado toast but it is too cold, and the olive oil is a little too much considering I am already getting healthy fat from the avocado which is creamy. Bulletproof coffee is different from what I had before without MCT oil and cacao powder but still nice. Use KALEYEAH on your app to get $5 off!

Yelp
You can call me a juicer now because these juices are pretty dope. After a weekend of retoxing my body, I needed a detoxifying agent to add to my body and lo behold, I find myself at South Block Co deciding between what shot to take. A healthy, detoxifying shot that is :). I had a hard time deciding what to order (mainly because I was hungover). The cashier was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. She convinced me to get the Avocado Butter smoothie. I substituted the peanut butter for almond butter since I'm not a big fan of peanut butter. The smoothie came out in less than 3 minutes, which is blazing fast for making a smoothie... at least in my experience. And I must say, the smoothie was super thick and filling. I was stuffed for a good 8 hours afterwards. As for the decor, when you walk inside, you definitely get the hip/minimalistic vibe. To the left are the fridges with the juices and shots while the right is the "bar" where you can order food, coffee, and smoothies. I sat down at the bar waiting for my smoothie and thoroughly enjoyed just sitting and watching the baristas run around and make the food. Overall, I say my first experience with South Block is fantastic and I'll definitely be back. Tip #1: For the 2 shots (The bomb & Weed). What you choose decides what you want your body to feel. The bomb is harsh and abrasive to your throat. It has ginger, turmeric, lemon and packs a mean left hook. YOU"VE BEEN WARNED. The Weed is less intense but if you don't like the taste of grass, I would stay away. Tip #2: Make sure you sign up for the loyalty program (the belly). Even if you don't frequent often, you can definitely work up to get rewards. I got a free fist bump on my first visit which was pretty neat. I know you can score some free juices later on.

Yelp
Horrific costumer service, the lady that was taking out order wasn't really paying attention to what we was ordering, didn't smile at all like if she didn't care, there was 2 guys in there and one was carrying is sweat adidas pants down showing his underwear! Unbelievable, from all of the south block locations, this one was the worst! Not including the smell And the sticky tables

Yelp
I absolutely love their acai bowls! I usually get the California bowl and add the free chia seeds! The staff are always friendly and they are pretty quick at making the bowls! They are very flexible about adding things or making modifications!

Yelp
Extremely yummy!!! I got the mermaid bowl and finished the whole thing in just a few minutes. Was pretty crowded during the lunch rush so we had to wait a little. I definitely will go back and try their toast!

Yelp
I've hearing a lot of this place for some time and wanted to check it out. I'm glad I did. The space itself is kind of industrial, but the staff are super friendly and helpful. I came here for breakfast and had the warrior bowl. The fruit was super fresh and the plating of the bowl was stunning! The granola was crunchy and delicious and the yogurt in the bottom of the bowl was creamy and fruity. The price point is pretty steep so it's not something I would get every day, but I really enjoyed it. The portion size was very generous. I was also totally obsessed with the bowl itself. Very pretty!
