South Block Juice Co. is a gem! The atmosphere is bright, clean, and welcoming, with a great mix of modern and natural aesthetics. The staff is friendly and efficient, making the ordering process smooth. I tried the avocado toast, and it was delicious—perfectly seasoned with red pepper flakes and hemp hearts on sprouted bread. The almond butter bowl was another standout, packed with fresh blueberries, cacao nibs, and creamy almond butter, making for a nutritious and satisfying treat. Their menu has a great selection of smoothies, acai bowls, and cold-pressed juices, all made with high-quality ingredients. I also love that they have self-order kiosks, making it easy to customize your order. Plus, the “Puppy Smoothie” option is such a fun touch for dog owners! Highly recommend stopping by for a fresh, healthy, and flavorful experience. Will definitely be back! 🥑🍓🍌🍵

Google
South block makes the best Açai bowl!! There’s a lot of places out there that make açai bowls, but southblock is the best hands down.

Google
Claudia has amazing customer service, technique and makes a great bowl. Monet while she didn’t make my bowl her friendly customer presence even while doing her duties in the background didn’t go unnoticed. Keep up the great work

Google
We love going to south block because our food is always ready when we get there after ordering off the app which is very easy to navigate and makes the experience more pleasant. The food is always delicious and worth buying every time. The atmosphere is always peaceful and the your locations are always clean and welcoming. Everyone working is so kind and helpful and like I said it makes the whole experience more enjoyable and pleasant. - Sarah Simmons

Google
Fresh smoothie bowls or Acai whatever you want to call them, they are delicious. More filling than I initially thought they would be. The Georgetown location in my experience was great. Though they were crowded I got my order rather quickly and the staff was great. There is a lot of seating and it makes for a great atmosphere to hang out and talk.

Google
I have been a HUGE southblock fan since I moved to the DMV in 2016 and am not surprised by how quickly they’ve grown. It is so hard to find real fruit based smoothies and bowls - everything is fresh, granola delicious, pricing is fair, and they have the best rewards program around!! Must try!

Google
You have to choose wisely in the bowl you get here, and if you do then you will be pleased. I would not recommend the green monster bowl because it is warm and not that refreshing. I think that the California bowl and the pitaya bowls here are awesome. It is decently priced; the bowls aren't huge. They give you a chia seed shaker so you can put as much chia seeds and honey on your bowl as you want to. People working here are friendly, but can seem busy and rushed since the line is usually long and there are so many people crowding around the place. The green smoothies are incredible and so is their kombucha!

Google
I go here a lot with my sister, and we usually share a bowl together and one day the nicest worker, Claudia, was being so nice and when my sister ordered a mini bowl, she gave us a large bowl with an extra scoop of peanut butter to share! Delicious smoothies, extremely friendly staff, and a great atmosphere! I will definitely continue to visit!!!

Yelp
Excellent smoothies and açaí bowls. The fruit is fresh, the sizes are good. Expensive but everything is in this area. I liked the kiosk for fast ordering.
google avatar

Josh G.

Yelp
I ordered a very tasty smoothie from here and enjoyed it. There's a lot of seating and the staff was very friendly. I will visit again the next time I'm in Georgetown.

Yelp
South Block has fresh, healthy smoothies, acai bowls, and snacks that are tasty and refreshing. Although it is quite expensive (~10 for a smoothie and ~13 for an acai bowl) the quality is definitely there.

Rojo E.

Yelp
Went to the south block in Georgetown- the food was ok but service was slow. Instead of three people cleaning I would focus on the food and getting it out in a timely manner; clean in the off time. Jamba Juice is better, and runs better too.

Yelp
South block has become my go to smoothie bowl place in the morning! It's so easy to order through their app and pickup in store to skip the line. I always order their Nutella bowl. The mini size is the perfect quantity for me without being too filling. I've been to several locations but love the Georgetown one to start my morning. I soon need to venture out and try other items besides the Nutella bowl, but it's so delicious that I genuinely crave it in the morning. It's always busier on weekends, so I recommended placing those online orders to avoid long waits.

Anne A.

Yelp
LOVE the açaí bowls--especially the Nutella bowl. LOVE the service by Ninfa and Guadelupe.

Yelp
Kind employees, clean business. Food was delicious and generous servings. Ordered a bowl, the blender had extra of the base so the lady working made a second bowl free of charge. Very kind, definitely will return.

Yelp
What a find!!! This shop is tucked away, but once you find it, you can't miss it again! The food was so refreshing and healthy. They also give you a lot of food, so I'd say the price is definitely fair. They have areas where you can sit and work or hang out with friends. Definitely recommend if you are in the area!
google avatar

Isabella B.

Yelp
Tried the strawberry bowl for the first time and it was delicious! Very tropical, but not too insanely sweet. Added collagen protein which was great and barely added any taste to the bowl. Wanderlust bowl was also good and fresh. Bowls were made quickly which was great. Only gave 4 stars because the bowls can get kinda pricey - with the added protein plus tax & tip, we paid $34 for both bowls.

Emily D.

Yelp
Service was amazing. They are so accommodating and so sweet!! The bowls are also amazing and a great size for the price. Definitely will come back again!!

Yelp
One of my go-to places while I was in D.C. over the summer! This place made me fall in love with acai bowls. Their bowls were so refreshing and easy to take-out. If you are ever in Georgetown, I would definitely recommend grabbing a bowl and walking a block down to the waterfront to enjoy your acai. I would honestly recommend all of their bowls, but my favorites were the Warrior Bowl and the Magic Dragon Bowl (for all pitaya lovers).
google avatar

Yelp
It was delicious! We appreciated that there were multiple cafes and food options in the space.

Yelp
The Acai bowls are so yummy and i want one of every cupcake from their bake shop. Always great to be in G'town

Yelp
Excellent customer service, fresh quality juices, and in a great location! This place is my go to when it comes to doing my yearly juice cleanse. Their juices cleanse and revitalize my body leaving me feeling fresh and renewed!!

Yelp
PRICE: Like any typical acai or smoothie shop - it's quite pricey for a bowl or drink, averaging around $10-12 for a bowl. They have options to add extra toppings, seeds/grains, protein for +$1-2 **Chia seeds are always free! (in case you missed that on the menu) **They do not accept cash at their locations! FOOD: The fruit here is always fresh and reliably satisfying if you're looking for a meal/snack with well-balanced macro and micronutrients. Most fruits are pretty low calorie but with added granolas, nut butters, or seeds, most of these options will equate to a full meal (~500-600 calories) **They do include the nutrition facts on the menu, which is helpful for those who are interested in tracking their macros! - Warrior Bowl (519 cal) - delicious, refreshing, and filling with plenty of berries. They don't skimp on the ingredients which is great, and you can' always rely on South Block to produce some pretty instagrammable bowls. SERVICE: Quick and efficient - staff was also very friendly. ATMOSPHERE: Minimalistic, grab-n-go establishment. Perfect stop while having a day out.

Yelp
This is my favorite acai/smoothie place in the DMV! Everything is made fresh, and it just tastes SO good and healthy! I only wish that they would update their nutritional info regularly to include all the products, but I love everything I've tried and keep coming back. Also, there is consistency between locations which is CLUTCH!
google avatar

Kera L.

Yelp
Always a pleasure stopping by any South Block location. The toast is delicious & I love an excellent Acaì bowl or fresh juice.
google avatar

Yelp
I was surprised to discover that this juice bar shares indoor seating and an outdoor courtyard with a couple of other businesses. It's a very pretty space. The menu was pretty straightforward; pretty much all juices and smoothies unlike some juice bars which branch out a little bit more. It's definitely on the pricier end. The smoothie I got was bursting with flavor. I doubt it had much nutritional value, and the larger size was so big I might sooner not have ordered it, despite being a modest price increase over the regular for 50% more smoothie. It's a very Georgetown-y place, but not a luxury I'd be inclined to indulge in regularly.
google avatar

Astrid B.

Yelp
3.5 stars for sure. Nothing special, just typical smoothie place. Seems a little more artificial than I might like but the smoothie was good. I got a coupon code and likely wouldn't be giving this high a review had I paid the full $9. I would say it's probably the best smoothie option around and would suggest
google avatar

Yelp
South Block is always a go to for filling and delicious smoothies and Açaí bowls! The service is always great and fast!
google avatar

Iris P.

Yelp
filling and fresh! i got the california bowl with supermix instead of granola. the supermix was really good and healthy. although it was a bit pricey, all smoothie bowls are expensive in this part of DC. the dining area was really nice.
google avatar

Siena F.

Yelp
Everyone knows this place slaps. The warrior bowl is my go to and I always get it with just granola and strawberries on top. The serving size is generous and the granola is my favorite granola of any restaurants I've gone to. Would definitely recommend stopping by for a quick treat!
google avatar

Yelp
One word: OBSESSED. The green caveman is absolutely amazing. It's so delicious that it's hard to believe the ingredients are all clean! The storefront has a clean and friendly vibe, with a clear menu (only missing nutritional information which can be found online). Service is super fast! I also tried a juice sample while waiting the 3 minutes it took to blend up my smoothie, and I might be hooked on the juice I absolutely love this spot, but at $9 for the smaller size, it's a treat to come.

Sasha W.

Yelp
It was longest wait to get a smoothie. Took forever. Still waiting after 30 mins. Tons of people in line waiting. It looks like a ton of people are working but they are not pushing out the orders.
google avatar

Maxy B.

Yelp
The staff was super friendly and the açaí bowl was made with love. Flavorful and not too sweet it was just right, will be returning again soon.
google avatar

Laura S.

Yelp
Okay, this place was great, very delicy and everything. I just wish that they manage the lines better and be more organized. As a first timer, I was confused where the purchasing line vs. pick up line vs. mobile order pickup. Everything was so confusing! I waited for 40 mins to pick 2 bowls! Great food, but I feel it could do better with customeranagent. I order a green bowl and my fiance got the Cali bowl, both were really good! Yum! Enjoy!
google avatar

Amanda J.

Yelp
I've wanted to try South Block since I moved to DC, and I finally tried it a few weeks ago. I ordered the Warrior Bowl ($10), and the fruit was perfectly ripe and the blend of the bowl perfect. The bowl wasn't excessively sweet, and it was refreshing on a summer day. I don't think I would stray from the açaí bowls, as one of my friends had a smoothie that tasted like what I would imagine candied kale would taste like. But the bowls were great!! This South Block has quite a bit of seating, and we enjoyed sitting outside in the shade.

Yelp
I had lunch at SUNdeVICH and noticed the juice menu at South Block Juice. The building is a shared space for multiple vendors. There is a mini fridge next to the cashier counter filled with the juices made for the day. I purchased a bottle of the Caveman Mylk which comes with cashews, water, vanilla, cinnamon, dates and pink himalayan sea salt.I really liked the Caveman Mylk, it was well blended and the vanilla and cinnamon adds some sweetness to the drink :) My only complaint is that the juices are pricey here, over $10-11 for a 16 oz. bottle of juice! The staff weren't too friendly, the cashier didn't even look up from the register once. The line wasn't super long, there were only two people behind me waiting. I am on the fence on whether I would come back here, if I happen to be in the area I may give it another try... but I would not go out of my way.
google avatar

Christina R.

Yelp
This location of South Block is just as good as the others, serving up delicious and fresh açaí bowls and smoothies. I've found that the bowls are usually the move, especially the PBJ (açaí bowl blended with berries and peanut butter). It's topped with their granola, banana slices, and fresh juicy blueberries (yum). It is a bit pricey but I enjoy it as a treat now and then. The location in Georgetown is ideal since there are great lunch spots right near by, making this my (healthier) dessert of choice.

Emelia Y.

Yelp
No complaints here! Quick order taking, many açaí and topping choices, fresh ingredients, plenty of seating. The warrior bowl is the most basic option and it did not disappoint. The summer special bowls looked really yummy as well. What a light and delicious breakfast!
google avatar

Soumya I.

Yelp
Walked into here randomly bc we wanted a quick pick me up after walking around Georgetown. We definitely picked right! More on the expensive side but you also get what you pay for. I got the Mini Bowl $7 ( Acia, banana, almond milk topped with banana, granola and strawberry) with a Blood orange tea. Ughhh so damn good! Always a sucker for some delicious tea. They have plenty of seating outside as well as inside. So take ur pick. Tip: if you're not in the mood for huge portions opt for the Mini Bowl!! It's the perfect mid-day pick me up snack.
google avatar

Shivani G.

Yelp
Tryna be healthy but also have something super delicious? South Block is the place for you. They have a great varieties of açaí bowls and smoothies to choose from, and each are so tasty you won't even realize you're picking in tons of fruits and vitamins! I love their pb&j bowls and smoothies because they're creamy and fruity. I would come here for breakfast or for a snack, although I know some people find their bowls filling enough for lunch. Their offerings are a bit on the pricier side, but that's to be expected for a smoothie place, especially in Georgetown. They do have seating which is shared with Grace Street Coffee and a sandwich place in the same space, and it's a nice atmosphere with great lighting. But if you come during popular hours seating might be difficult, bc this is definitely a hot spot!
google avatar

Addison S.

Yelp
The açaí bowl here was super tasty! It took awhile to make, but the wait was definitely worth it. The fruit was sweet and fresh! They have tons of seating options (even during COVID). I would definitely recommend stopping by.
google avatar

Nini J.

Yelp
Love their Georgetown location. Their Acai bowls are pretty good for the price and if I feel like splurging, I'll get myself a smoothie. Their pink (dragonfruit) smoothie is yummy! I also like their (expensive yet) delicious cave man balls!
google avatar

Ameera B.

Yelp
I went on a Sunday morning around 11 o'clock, and it was moderately busy. Lots of people getting açai bowls! But I stuck with a strawberry passion fruit smoothie and it did not disappoint. So refreshing! Staff were friendly and service was prompt. Cute spot! Nice location not far at all from the Georgetown waterfront. Will be back!
google avatar

Tija A.

Yelp
My fellow Yelper, Ebonee introduced me to this place on Monday. Today is Wednesday and I've already been 3 times! It's safe to say that I'm addicted. Each time I've gotten the PBJ bowl and it has been sooo delicious. The bottom includes a blend of açaí, peanut butter, banana, blueberry and almond milk. The fruit is always fresh and the açaí smoothie is always blended to perfection! The top includes granola blueberries and bananas. At the end, I top with a little chia seeds and honey. Super yummy! I encourage anytime to give it a try. It is soooooo good!
google avatar

Tiffany K.

Yelp
A good spot for acai bowls and smoothies. Service is fast and efficient, bowls and smoothies made with real fruits and veggies. Vibrant colors make up both the food and the space.
google avatar

Howard K.

Yelp
Best Açaí bowls in the area. Weekend lines are pretty long but worth the wait! It's in a mini food court with coffee and 2 sandwich shops.
google avatar

Emi N.

Yelp
This was my first time at South Block while I was visiting a friend, and it was so good! They were very packed the day we went so it was a bit of a wait, but it was worth it. I ordered the Mermaid smoothie and it was just as yummy as it looks! Looking forward to my next visit to try an açai bowl.
google avatar

Makenna W.

Yelp
I have nothing but amazing things to say about South Block. I've been to a few of their locations & each one has been exceptional - the staff is friendly, the açaí is amazing. When I first stumbled upon them in Union Market last June, I was blown away by their açaí bowls - they're huge, filling, and seriously unlike any other bowl I've had before. I swear they have some sort of magic dusted within them. And they're so reasonably priced! When I returned to DC for a second trip in October, I thought maybe I just got really lucky that day with the açaí - maybe it was just really juicy, or the bananas and blueberries were super ripe. I was afraid the second-time around at South Block wouldn't nearly be as good. Joke was on me because it was just as incredible, if not better. I had 3 of the PBJ bowls within 2 days ‍ that's how good this place is! Even more - I won a South Block giftcard giveaway from their Instagram that gave me an excuse to take a weekend trip to DC. Yes, I drove nearly 4 hours basically to eat 2 açaí bowls. Let that speak volumes to how much I love this place & DC (or maybe just how crazy I am!) Regardless, this is one of my favorite places I've ever been. I cannot get enough! Check out on of their locations if you're ever in the DC area! And definitely get the PBJ bowl or almond butter ack bowl
google avatar

Erin R.

Yelp
Best açaí bowl I have had in the US! It is very hard to compare the fruit here to Hawaii, but everything else was on point! Well blended, delicious granola, and so many options for additions! Unique indoor space where you can grab a cup of coffee at Grace's and enjoy a delicious açaí bowl or smoothie! Portions are perfect for a post workout meal
google avatar

Kira B.

Yelp
The best açaí in dc!!!! I order from here weekly, I have a severe sesame and gluten allergy so I can't eat their regular granola. They are very cautious when preparing my order and I feel very safe ordering from here! Always fresh and delicious!
google avatar

Kamil A.

Yelp
This rating is based on the team holding it down at Union Market. My bestie had been wanting an açaí bowl for a minute and we finally made our way here last Weekend to take advantage of it. I'm not even sure the name of this, but let me tell you what...it doesn't matter. It was literally THAT good. It was refreshing enough that I didn't even mind having to sit outside + eat it because it made me feel like I was on some island enjoying a vibe rather than DC. The fruit was super fresh and the bowl was beautifully made. The staff was super friendly + pretty quick considering alllll the people who were trying to get a bowl and/or smoothie that day. I almost believe they may be black owned + if so, added bonus. PS- they have some dope branding + I appreciate the extra attention to detail. I'll be back!
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
These bowls are addicting ! They are very generously portioned , (still pricey but this is to be expected with acai bowls) and the flavor is top notch. Definitely my favorite acai bowl place I've ever been to. I like to order online from them it's really easy and will usually be ready in less than 10 minutes . Their smoothies are also good but I prefer the acai bowls because they have the granola which is so so good. They also have a good rewards program if you order online where you get a free bowl after only a few purchases !
google avatar

Yelp
5 stars for a great Georgetown smoothie spot. My wife and I stop in at South Block, located on Grace Street near M Street, about one a week. Since it shares the same building as a few other fun spots (i.e. Sundevich), we are able to grab a few different options and have a great lunch. On our most recent trip, we stopped in with our dog (yay dog friendly) and started glancing over the menu. Smoothie bar isn't really the right term here because most people get one of the awesome acai bowls. I got the almond butter bowl, which was quite large and full of lots of good stuff. The prices (about $10) may seem high, but the portion you get is HUGE and is actually pretty low calorie (a combination that makes for a very full belly without a lot of calories). Overall, South Block is an awesome Georgetown smoothie spot with a great location and excellent tasty options. If you are trying to eat a little healthier or just want a tasty snack, you should definitely give this spot a look

Liz A.

Yelp
Super slow service. refused to lend me .05 cents and demanded I either leave or add another smoothie to bet they're card minimum.
google avatar

Matt B.

Yelp
Good food pretty fast too. But this locations trash can was over flowing and like crazy

Emily M.

Yelp
Acai bowls are great here, the location is a bit small and finding seating is sometimes difficult, but I usually take mine to go and go sit somewhere else down the street. It's located in a less busy part of Georgetown so it's nice to get a bowl or smoothie from there and take a walk around M street. Favorites are the Warrior Bowl or the Cali Bowl
google avatar

Rebecca A.

Yelp
So aesthetically pleasing and refreshing, good for a light breakfast but fulfilling. Please try it!!
google avatar

Aamir S.

Yelp
It's average at best. I'm a smoothie connesueir. I've traveled all over and tasted them in all their varieties. I wasn't impressed here. The smoothie was dense not smooth, and the flavors were bland. For the price, one can expect more but I suspect location etc allowed for higher ratings by others.
