South City Fried Chicken

Seriously one of the best chicken burgers I've ever had. The chicken itself was delicious, and so juicy. And every bite was like an explosion of flavours going off in my mouth (I got the Austin). As a bonus, happy hour is every day from 4-7pm (burgers $10)! Service was great - I spent about 5 mins with one of the guys trying to work out which of the 8 burgers I should eat. I wish I lived nearby so I could try all the other versions.

You’re not going to find a better fried chicken sandwich in LA! Each sandwich combination is brilliant! The only downside is, you’re going to pay for it. Sandwiches are $12-$14 before tax and tip. Fries, and drinks are additional. If you get all 3, you’ll easily spend $25 per person. If you want to save some money, they have a Happy Hour everyday from 4pm-7pm where all sandwiches are $10.

An amazingly orchestrated food and drink program that looks good, tastes amazing and is thoughtfully resourced. Cocktails are light and fun with nice accents that fit with the overall theme of the menu. They have a nice full menu with a lot to choose from. They have an in-house hydroponics set up to grow some of their own ingredients and feature meats and produce from suppliers who use environmentaly friendly growing methods. The pop up is located at Preux & Proper and is a wonderful dining venue with two levels and cool little patios. There is a parking lot across the street. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I always have a great dining experience here.

Really good chicken spot. The menu is very simple. Which is nice because you dont feel overwhelmed with options. This spot is located in downtown LA obviously inside of this like food court looking place. It's cool actually. Now for the food. I'm sorry I dont rememeber what it was called however the sandwhich that I got was very good. They did not skimp on the bacon or the cheese. And the sauce they put on it tied everything together. The chicken was cooked perfectly and was juicy and delicious. The fried pickles are bomb. Be aware. They dont look like a lot until you start eating them lol Whenever I'm in the area I'll try to stop by again

Let me start off with “That Biscuit” my roommate got the biscuit and I stole it from him! Man I loved that biscuit! The chicken was great and the avocado ranch dipping sauce was phenomenal I was going to dock them a star for the bad fries but we did get there 5min before closing and they made everything fresh for us so extra crisp fries are acceptable in this situation! I will definitely be back!!!

Crunchy fried chicken - in a sandwich-- with sides, friendly service in an unusual "market hall" that has 8 different ethnic cuisine kitchens.

This place does not disappoint! After staring at pics of the sandwiches online for a month, a group from the office made the walk down to Spring street to see if they live up to the hype. First off, the owner is super friendly and can help you decide...since they all look and taste so damn good. I had the Austin and it was amazing!! Layer after layer of flavor...go get you some!

Where do I start. I'm amazed this place is in business. At the 15 minute mark with no food - I approached the counter to see about the delay. I was told they had to make a new batch of waffle batter - someone evidently forgot to make more when they were low; the batter was still being mixed when I approached. I cancelled the waffles part of my Chicken and Waffles to save some time. They changed my order to chicken tenders only. (they don't offer the actual breast as a choice) The tenders were 40% breading with no flavor and amazingly dry inside. Included in the box was BBQ sauce that tasted exactly like Ketchup. So, poor service, poor product, no communication on the delay they uncovered. Add employees who act like they don't want to be there, kidding around with each other instead of concentrating on taking care of business.
