After my daughter‘s wedding dress fitting, we saw this restaurant and decided to walk a couple of blocks and give it a try. So glad We did! There was plenty of parking and lots of Outdoor covered picnics. Not much to look at, but still nice just to be outside. The atmosphere Inside was very relaxed and casual… Place your order at the counter and pay… They have a wide selection of drinks in the cooler behind the register so if you choose, you can keep your tab open To enjoy a few beers. Our order was very basic, large pepperoni and mushroom… You would be surprised how many pizza places can’t even manage that simple of an order… But this place, it was absolute perfection! So much so, that even though this is not near our home, we still try and make it out there as much as possible. I have even been going on Fridays by myself and enjoying a smaller pizza And a beer. Around 12 PM, business really picks up and there is a nice little lunch crowd, but nothing overwhelming. I can’t speak for the other pizzas on the menu… Personally, I’m not a fan of large cut vegetables on top of the cheese, but If you are Or you love, just a simple cheese and meat, pizza,it is definitely worth giving it a try. 10/10

This was a pleasant surprise. The crust is relatively thin but very tasty, the toppings are exceptional and a variety like you won't see anywhere else. My wife got their Aegeian pizza, and I had one made special for me with smoked chicken and black olives on alfredo. Good local and National beers, Coke products, several things in the cooler. They have Blue Bunny singles in the ice cream cooler. The ambience is more like beach without the sand, lots of picnic tables and a few booths, plus outside dining which is also dog friendly.

My husband and I have been coming here for years. We’ve had many a pizzas in Knoxville but we consider South Coast to be our favorite spot. Not just for pizza, but one of our favorite places in Knox in general! The vibe is really great- being right on Sevier you’re right in the middle of the happenings of south Knox. This is a vibrant and active community. You’ll see young families, college students, runners, bikers, and dog walkers alike. Everyone comes here to enjoy the atmosphere and good food. Some of our favorites are the Pacific Pig, Green Dragon, The Cuban, Unsung Gyro, and Thai chili wings. You can’t go wrong here. Don’t miss out on this gem 🍕

Google
We were hungry and decided on a new place. South Coast Pizza did not disappoint. I had the Aegean pizza with an oil &garlic base, sun dried tomatoes, spinach, onions, black olives, mazzarella cheese and feta. My husband created his own pizza with aan Alfredo base, black olives and smoked chicken. The smoked chicken was Xcellent. Even the crust was delicious! It tasted like it was cooked in a wood oven. It's a coke place, no pepsi. I had a sprite and my husband had a Pacifico. We had to order at the counter and get it ourselves. The seatings are a bit unorthodox with picnic tables in the restaurant but they have seating outside. Next time and there will be a next time I'm gonna get something else. Total experience was great!

Google
South Coast Pizza delivers a refreshing coastal atmosphere that feels more like a local dive bar than a touristy spot, which I really appreciated. The laid-back vibes, combined with a pleasant setting, made for a comfortable dining experience. The pizza itself was excellent, great flavours, quality ingredients, and well-executed. However, the price point was on the higher side, which might make it less of an everyday spot. Service was average, nothing bad, but nothing particularly standout either. It got the job done, but it wasn’t the highlight of the visit. Overall, if you're looking for a chill place with great pizza and don’t mind paying a bit more for it, South Coast Pizza is worth a visit.

Google
Hands down best pizza in town, dough taste so fresh. The Green Monster and spinach salad I never get tired of! Super fun water/beach side decor and great vibes, I highly recommend. Oh the wings are good too!

On Monday June 30, 2025. We called in our order at 3:33pm for carry out. And 15 minutes later our 16inch pepperoni pizza and cheese bread was ready for pickup. The service was just above and beyond, the food was just perfect!!

Google
They are way better than most places at cutting the pizza. The cheese is actually cut and when you pull the pizza slice out. The cheese doesn't get dragged off of the slice.

Yelp
Best pizza around. We ordered 7 pizzas for a get together. They were ready right when we asked, how we wanted them and they tasted great. The crust is perfect and the flavor is amazing!!

Yelp
The place isn't much to look at- mostly wooden picnic tables and benches with some booths- but the pizza is very good. No service to speak of- you get your own beverages, they call our name out and you walk up to the kitchen counter and they hand you your boxed pizza. The pizza itself is great and they have a solid beer selection in addition to soda, & iced tea. I'm a regular at lunch time. It's worth the drive from Market Square.

Yelp
Great find while visiting at UTK, great reviews and had to try. So glad that we did!! Great selection of specialty pizzas.. can choose from slice to whole pizza. Plus, couple different salads too. Casual atmosphere with both inside and outside Picnic table seating. Free parking lot too. The order came quick and was reasonable and tasted great!!! Highly recommend.

Yelp
This place was recommended by someone who grew up in Knoxville. Good crust, cheese, and fresh toppings! They also have some very interesting signature pizza choices. Love that they offer pizza by the slice too.

Yelp
Thought my pizza was pretty good, I got the 12 inch margarita style pizza with extra sauce/fresh mozz. The pizza crust was clearly made on site and high quality. The sauce was pretty good. The pie was ready on time (I ordered online) and decided to sit down to eat. The prices are VERY reasonable. NOTE: This joint is cafeteria style/self serve. You pick up your food, seat yourself, and bus your own table. Don't feel compelled to tip if you don't want to, they don't have a wait staff.

Yelp
Gluten free crust is also vegan. We order the Aegean GF, with no mozzarella or feta and add vegan cheese. Staff is usually pretty knowledgeable and helpful in navigating our choices. We also get the AMBC Lady Shredder GF, no mozzarella, no parmasean and add vegan cheese. They have a good selection of regional canned beers and sours and a few beers on tap. They also have Frog Juice Kombucha which is a plus. On our first visit staff was a bit edgy and I'd have left a four star review. But on several visits since then the edgy staff are non existent so bumping it up to five well earned stars. There is a variety of seating including big picnic tables booths and outdoor seating. There's some video games and things for the kids to do, too.

Yelp
Great food and also great environment on the south side of Knoxville. Definitely would recommend good service.

Yelp
I previously ordered South Coast for an event but it was gobbled up before I could try any (*insert crying in a corner from pizza envy). I finally got to give it a try when a friend was in town and it lived up to the hype! What a quirky, casual, and family-friendly vibe inside. They also have a sizable outdoor seating area. You order at the counter and they call your name when your order is ready to be picked up. The young dude working the counter was clearly not excited about helping us, but we got in our order, grabbed our drinks, and took a seat. Silverware, paper napkins, and paper plates are on a nearby table for customers to self-serve, along with the soda machine. We wanted to see how they did a classic staple and ordered the Trois Formage (Red Base, Garlic, Mozzarella, Swiss, Cheddar, Fresh Mozzarella) and added pepperoni. After about 15-20 minutes, our name was called and our lava hot pie was ready to rock. We noticed that our pizza did not visibly have pepperoni but just assumed they put it under the cheese. Nope. It was forgotten. Wah wahhhh. The pizza was still amazing. Fresh, hot, super cheesy, chewy back crust. There is a really unique menu that I look forward to coming back to explore soon!

Yelp
I met up with my teammate and friend Lindsay H at South Coast Pizza before a Yelp event recently and we enjoyed some deliciously cheesy pizza. The space inside is eclectic and interesting, with lots to see, including some empty(?) fish tanks. They have some outdoor seating, but we opted for inside as we'd be outside for the whole event. The menu is as eclectic as the decor, with sweet Thai chili sauce, buffalo, and ranch as options for bases. Their specialty pizzas include Korean BBQ beef, gyro pizza, pizzas with pub mustard bases, and more. It was a bit overwhelming as I've never seen some of these combinations and it was tough for me to imagine what they'd taste like. I'm not a picky eater, so I probably would've liked anything, but we kept it simple and went with the trois fromage: red base, garlic, mozzarella, swiss, cheddar, and fresh mozzarella. We asked to add pepperoni as well. The pizza was done fairly quickly and was super hot. The amount of cheese was impressive! Super cheesy and delicious. They forgot or maybe didn't understand our request to add pepperoni, but the cheese was more than enough. I liked the sauce - it wasn't too sweet. I'd definitely come back and try some of the more original and unique sounding options!

Yelp
My husband and I visited South Coast Pizza after a bike road from Ijams. It was only 5 mins away and pizza after riding bikes for several hours is a must! We ordered a Greek side salad and the Island Home. They were both delicious and we had pizza to take home. The service was fast and had lots of seating (indoors & outdoors). They also have a small arcade area if you enjoy games!

Yelp
We love taking visitors to South Coast Pizza! The pizza is good and the neighborhood vibe is totally cool! Their menu is unique and we try something different every time we go. We even tried the smoked wings this time. They were very good! We bought the baked wings, and had the Korea. BBQ and Garlic Teriyaki sauces! We even poured the sauces on a few of our pizza slices. Yep! You got to try it! It was Purrr!

Yelp
Pretty much perfect pizza South Coast used to be my go to Pizza joint. Times changed and I tried some others bigger stores, newer shops even small chains. Suddenly it occurred to me. Why did I ever leave South Coast. I went back and found like true love, it can withstand the test of time. OK, so, it's pizza. It prepared fresh, just like you order it, and actually cooked all the way through and supposed to say Pizza Hut. Great beer selection; local regional and craft beer. Really excellent, friendly people behind the counter. Cooked fast and fresh and ready to go.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing food. I got the Mojo pork, and the pork literally melts in your mouth. I also got the gluten free crust and I love that they have this option! Service was decent. Great outdoor seating options for dogs.

Yelp
Expensive and not very flavorful. I have had better pizza at dominos. We won't be back.

Yelp
One of the best pizza places in Knoxville! The slices are huge. It's always so good! Love that they have outdoor seating as well. Service is great!

Yelp
Vibe was really good and food tasted great! The service was nice and the people weren't rude.

Yelp
Amazing pizza! Super quick service and a great casual setting. Would highly recommend for a quick bite for lunch or a casual dinner.

Yelp
Delicious yet pricey pizza in South Knoxville. One of the better pizza kitchens in Knoxville on menu variety alone. The dry rub wings, and salads are also done well. The pizza warms up well and slices are hearty. Toppings could be more robust for the price. Environment...Family and pet friendly joint. Food here is best enjoyed as a takeaway order since the dining room could use a good scrub down, the space is dimly lit, offers the smells of an old storage building. Service... the kitchen seems consistent so that's huge, but the rotating cast of 'kids' working the cash wrap makes it apparent better training should be offered. Overall: Would recommend for a call in order

Yelp
We are from NC & needed pizza. Sproccoli pizza was awesome, Margarita wasn't my favorite. It was good service, nice place on a great street.
google avatar

Bo W.

Yelp
I really like SCP. Good ingredients, creative menu... I've been a few times now, and try something new each time. It's all been good. Cons: I just wish the crust was crisper, or offered a thin crust. Pre-baking the crust can add a good dynamic to a pizza. Overall, good pizza, good salads, fresh ingredients, friendly service, fun atmosphere, and decent value.
google avatar

Yelp
Super good pie! We had two minis (each big enough for one person). The traditional pepperoni was great, and the Big Mac nailed the flavor. The pies came out of the oven hot and quickly. Super good!

Yelp
South Coast Pizza is hands down my favorite pizza spot in Knox! It's located next to a few breweries and other unique restaurants. They have parking on the side of the building, never had an issue with parking even on their busy days. I love that they have plenty of outdoor seating as well as inside. We typically order inside and get a beer and sit outside on their adirondack chairs while we wait for our pizza to be ready. All their pizzas are so tasty and delicious, I've tried multiple different ones and none of them have been mediocre or disappointing. Everything is great here you can't go wrong! Always ask for extra ranch haha it's sooooooo good! Also a plus, even when it's busy you're never waiting a long time! I've also gone to the brewery across the street and placed an order at SCP to take home, I just love the location they are located at. This is a perfect place to grab a pie for family or date night! They even have the option to buy pizza by the slices if you don't want a whole pie!

Yelp
great food! staff were nice! we got a pepperoni pizza and caesar salad and it was delicious!

Yelp
I was visiting a friend on her birthday and she wanted to go here for dinner. No wine offerings, but an extensive variety of beers. I chose Tropical (sp?), which had a slight orange flavor that I enjoyed. We then ordered a medium pizza with my friends favorite toppings. Pizza was cooked to perfection and was delicious. I can see why it's her favorite pizza place. Definitely will go there again the next time I'm in town.

Yelp
The wings are delicious, and the pizza is tasty. I like the low key dining area, along with the good service. The cold 16 oz Mich Ultras didn't hurt either.

Jackson D.

Yelp
DESTROYED a large pizza. Got cheese a pepperoni. Easily the best I've had in a while. Would recommend

Xavier R.

Yelp
SERVICE: 0/5 FOOD: 3/5 You get one time to make a first impression, and they get an L in that arena. The guy making boxes was dismissive, and the lady taking my order looked at me like she would rather serve a dog. The sauce was good, but the pizza was soggy. Next time, I'll just go across the bridge to Dazzo's; they're nicer and their food is better. Don't patronize establishments that only have respect for the color green.
google avatar

Sarah M.

Yelp
Great pizza, salads and drink options. Call it in and sit outside to eat it or take it down the street to one of the local breweries!! Plenty of pre created options or build your own!
google avatar

Chris H.

Yelp
Great pizza! Better price than some others around town. Nice beer selection too! Online ordering was easy and timely.

Yelp
Oh man, this place is good. Cuban pizza convinced me pizza must come with pickles. Great local atmosphere, awesome selections across food / drink / treats, a must try in the Island Home area.
google avatar

Megan E.

Yelp
South Coast is a Knoxville Local Go-To for a reason. The atmosphere is so chill & the pizza is banger. It gives off "little pizza shop off the coast after a day of surfing vibes." Well, maybe that's a little exaggerated but it does make me feel that at home. The decor is so cool inside with everything from bikes to kayaks on the ceiling & there is a great outdoor patio. I have tried many pizzas and all of them are tasty with fresh ingredients
google avatar

Iva C.

Yelp
Great pizza spot! I live in South Knoxville and this place is one of my favorites. It's around a lot of different breweries so we love to stop by and get a pizza after a couple of beers. Last night we ordered the AMBC Lady Shredder and it was tasty! We were able to grab a table outside to enjoy it and it was a wonderful evening. I highly recommend his place!
google avatar

Karmen B.

Yelp
Stopped by on a warm spring day. I ordered the Babalu pizza, which was a mix of barbecue and buffalo sauce with chicken and onions. Highly recommend not too spicy. The dough that is used for this I think really made the pizza stand out. I'm assuming they make their own. My friend had the deli pizza which looked smelled, and she said tasted good as well. Because it was a nice day. We were able to sit outside at a table, but there are tables inside as well. Great for a nice warm summer or spring day. Lots of beers on tap as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Finally got around to trying this place out. Meeehhh. It was ok. Nothing fantastic but not bad. I was just hoping for better. I've had many other places that are superior in my opinion.
google avatar

Lauren S.

Yelp
Great pizza and not skimpy on the toppings, which is much appreciated since I don't eat meat!! I Mean, srsly, how much are onions?!? I've been to some pizza places that literally slice one single mushroom and use that for the whole pizza! Anyhow great pizza, great toppings, love it!
google avatar

Sean C.

Yelp
Great pizza with lots of options and a decent amount of beer. Seating inside is small but they have a large outdoor patio. Good vibes, a bit hipster.

Yelp

Yelp
Love their pizza. For me, it's all about the crust! If I finish the slice which includes the rim edge, then you've passed the taste test. This establishment impresses me every time. Prices are reasonable and family friendly, who doesn't love that!

Yelp
Hosted a birthday party for my thirteen year old at South Coast Pizza in April. We had around 20 guests, mix of adults and children from my son's team. We were all in town for a meet. Not familiar with the area, I turned to Yelp for good pizza spots and it led me to South Coast Pizza. They don't accept reservations, but assured me my party would be accommodated, especially since it was on a Friday at 2:30 PM. They have plenty of picnic seating indoor and covered outdoor seating. We arrived around 2 PM to make sure we had tables for our party. The place was empty and we were able to pick our tables. We ordered four large pizzas: two pepperonis, one cheese and one veggie as well as fountain drinks for everyone. I thought we would have to order more pizza, but the four was enough for our party. Everyone seemed to enjoy the pizzas. I only tried the veggie and liked it. The staff was pleasant and very helpful.

Yelp
Best pizza in the Knoxville area, and you can't change my mind. The first time we tried South Coast was because it was a hot day for a farmer's market and I stopped in to get a water. As soon as I walked in and smelled the pizzas cooking and saw the beer selection, I turned right back around and waved for my whole group to join me. We ended up trying several beers and ordering a pizza... the Pacific Pork, to be exact. YALL, that pizza! Savory, sweet, and the perfect amount of crispiness. We have gone back several times now that I'm pregnant for that specific pizza, and every time it's even better than I remembered. I'll admit, I usually try something new when I go out but I can't seem to shake this craving. Any pizza since has paled in comparison. Now the beer selection. For some reason Knoxville seems to be a pretty hops-heavy area. Lots of options for IPAs, even double IPAs, and they just aren't our thing. I prefer wheats, Belgian ales, sours, or best of all a great gose. SC has so many more options than most! In fact, when I went back to the counter to get another sour the manager leaned in and asked how we feel about blackberry sours.. then disappeared and came back with a beer for us to try. It was AMAZING, and we ended up buying a pack. If you're looking for a fun new beer, ASK! They are very knowledgeable and have great recommendations! Overall, we've sent MANY friends and family members to South Coast since last year and every single person has thanked us. Great prices for the big servings, lots of good beer options, really cool and walkable area, efficient and friendly staff... we couldn't ask for me!
google avatar

Monica U.

Yelp
First and last time my family and I will come here. We ordered cheese bread and a pepperoni pizza. The cheese bread was ok. The pepperoni pizza was floating in grease and when you picked up a piece the cheese and pepperoni just slid right off. Definitely needed more cooking time or something. We ended up throwing the pizza and cheese bread away.
google avatar

Jamye S.

Yelp
Wow. I've had pizza up & down the East Coast from NY to Miami, this is some of the BEST pizza I've ever had. The classic pepperoni never disappoints, did a CYO with "barbelo" base instead of marinara (their own Barbecue + Buffalo sauce YUM), pepperoni, pulled pork, and pickles -- AMAZING. Let your creativity run free, there's no way to go wrong here. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Cody C.

Yelp
OK... The search is over for me! I have been to several really good pizzerias in Knoxville. But South Coast Pizza takes #1 by far! We ordered everything from a regular cheese, pepperoni, to spicy beef, green monster, and the Gyro!!! Everything was so delicious. Chris (owner) made sure that we were taken care of and suggested a amazing blonde ale from their brewery. As soon as you walk in, you will smell the amazing aroma of delicious dough and fresh toppings! The kids loved it as well as the adults! When pizza covers all of the demographics, it's worth trying it at least once! Great place to just grab a beer and hang out and eat some amazing food or, bring the entire family! I will definitely be hitting up this establishment in the near future!

Average Joe ..

Yelp
In the words of El Prez (One Bite)....Alright Folks, time for another Pizza Review. Corner of Sevier Ave and Dixie St SE. South Coast Pizza. Located just a short walk from Suttree Landing Park, this cozy spot offers a variety of mouthwatering options for every taste and preference. They offer pizza, wings, salad, amd beer. South Coast claims to use fresh ingredients, homemade sauces and dough, and cook everything to perfection in their stone oven. We ordered a couple pizzas on our first trip to give them a chance to live up thier claims. The ordering process was quick and painless but they were about 15 minutes late when we arrived at the time the order was supposed to be ready. We were fine with this as business was somewhat busy so long as the pizza lived up to the hype. While waiting for the pizza we had time to take in the atmosphere. It resembled a place for man bun wearing hipsters to drink IPA's and pretend to know beers but I believe that if given more of a chance could be more than this first impression. The decor is colorful, quirky and inviting. The staff wasn't the most friendly but I attribute this to a busy kitchen and they weren't exactly rude by any means. When we finally got our pizza home were were pleasantly surprised that they lived up to our expectations. The crust was thin under the delicious toppings and sauced just right. The thicker edges of the crust were cooked to perfection and tasty on its own. South Coast claims to be "More than just a pizza place. It's a slice of heaven on earth." I agree that it offers a great Pizza and with an improvement on time, you'd be hard to find one better.

Steven W.

Yelp
Great Pizza. Hidden gem, plenty of beer selections. Very casual. You won't be disappointed.

Jason W.

Yelp
The service was fine. It's a walk up counter. The salad was premade. The pizza was served hot and fresh. However, the pizza was not anything to write home about. If we are, we're to rate it for One Bite it would be a 5.8. Just a general remark. Post Covid I've noticed a lot of restaurants font take the time to simply clean their windows. Makes you wonder what it's gonna be like when you walk in and the windows are dirty?

Reema P.

Yelp
I live up the street from this place and I am so upset I don't go there every single weekend! I placed a late dinner order and it was ready in 10 minutes and the people working there are so friendly! It was so warm gooey and just perfect for a cold night! I was not disappointed and definitely will be back here! This pizza is delicious! Hopefully next time, I'll dine in instead of a to go order!
google avatar

H D P.

Yelp
Great little local spot. Good pizza with picnic tables outside. They'll deliver to the brewery across the street too.

Sarah W.

Yelp
Oh wow! Such delish pizza. Thin crust, nice herbs in the sauce and generous on the toppings. I went in for a slice, but since they only do cheese or pepperoni by the slice, I bought a small Island Home. So glad I did. Slices reheat well. Only request would be a whole grain crust instead of white. Perfect after a hike in SoKno, since the environment is very casual.
