How Orange County’s South Coast Plaza Pulls in $2 Billion a Year | Eater LA

"Set on former farmland that once grew lima beans, this privately held shopping resort has been cultivated by the Segerstrom family into a 2.8 million-square-foot destination with some 250 boutiques, about 30 restaurants, more than 20 million annual visitors, and annual sales north of $2 billion; it’s intentionally presented as a destination rather than a mall, housing everything from Petrossian caviar tastings to waffle sandwiches, and offering dining at all price points so you can get a Michelin-star meal amid high-end retail. Over decades the center has become a beacon for kitchen talent and wealthy diners, attracting Michelin-recognized restaurants and celebrity chefs, fostering a quasi-chefs’ community that works closely with the Segerstroms on private events, and expanding into more approachable, social-media–friendly offerings like the Collage Culinary Experience to draw younger crowds while retaining its luxury identity." - Jenn Tanaka

What the Michelin Guide Got Right (and Wrong) in Los Angeles in 2021 | Eater LA

"I believe Tony Esnault’s move to Orange County—bringing an upscale French-ish formula into a shopping mall—works, and the Michelin nod acknowledges that quality can thrive outside LA proper." - Eater Staff

South Coast Plaza is a clean bright well lit mall that feels extremely comfortable and safe. These stores are high-end luxury stores upper brand name establishments. The mall is anchored by Bloomingdale’s Nordstrom‘s and Macy’s. The amount of luxury brands are eye watering for the discerning buyer I will be honest, I go there weekly to get a good walk in because I feel safe there. The air is cool and there’s plenty of security keeping everybody safe. I’ve actually come to know several other couples walking around the mall there too. It’s easy to get some steps in With all the stores and their offerings to look at. So check out the photos and you can see they have everything for everyone from jewelry to top clothing brands to even a Porsche store. You can even buy lucid electric cars there and it’s not uncommon to see Lamborghini to Aston Martin cars out on display. For my wife, she loves Gucci to Zaborski stores. For me, it’s Breitling and TAGHeuer watches and the Porsche store, and find me the kids love Pop mart to the Lego store I have posted as many pictures as I could of the different stores there so you can view them and see if there’s any store there that interests you. Good luck.

The stores and displays were beautiful. I am a minimalist and enjoy nice things but I didn't see anything I couldn't live without however the Camilla store had some very tempting items. It was clean, parking was easy and it felt like a secure location.

This is a great place for window shopping — there’s such a wide variety of stores to browse through, from trendy fashion boutiques to specialty shops. Even if you’re not buying anything, it’s fun just to stroll around and take it all in. When it comes to food, there’s no shortage of options! Whether you’re in the mood for a casual snack, a quick coffee break, or a nice sit-down meal, you’ll find plenty of restaurants and cafés to choose from. If you’re visiting with kids, the carousels are a wonderful touch. They’re charming, fun, and a perfect way to keep little ones entertained for a few minutes while you relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Overall, it’s a lively, family-friendly place that’s perfect for spending a few leisurely hours shopping, dining, and just enjoying the surroundings.

Always clean with an excellent selection of haute horology and fashion houses. Dining options are diverse and high quality. Parking can be a bit of a mess on the weekends so just go around opening time on the weekdays or use their valet to get your shopping in.

Google
Phantastic, georgeous! I visited South Coast Plaza as a Teenager the last time: 39 years ago. Didn’t remember much. I think it’s the most beautiful plaza/mall I’ve ever seen. Mainly recommended for well situated people. Ladies: leave your husbands somewhere else and go and explore together with your friends.

April 24-27 The annual Spring Garden Show is taking place at Crystal Court SCP. A beautiful tradition where you can stroll around and see all kinds of amazing flowers, succulents, bonsai, orchids, etc

Google
South Coast Plaza is an impressive shopping destination with a vast selection of luxury and mainstream stores. The mall is clean, well-maintained, and offers a variety of dining options. However, it can get quite crowded, especially during holidays, and parking may be challenging. While the overall experience is positive, some visitors might find the atmosphere a bit upscale, which may not appeal to everyone.

Google
They have great brands. High end so pretty expensive but fun to look at. Check out the underwear sections because they are always on sale. I also like how they allow dogs at Nordstrom. They have pretty clothing brands like Acne Studios and All Saints.

Yelp
We always stop by South Coast Plaza whenever we're in the area--usually about 8-10 times a year. It's one of our favorite places to shop! I love visiting Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom, along with other stores and restaurants. The mall is always clean, and the employees are usually friendly and helpful. Parking is always easy, even when it's busy. I also enjoy the beautiful cars on display--last time, they had amazing Aston Martins. We usually find great deals here during the Thanksgiving and Christmas season, so it's perfect for holiday shopping. If you're looking for a clean, upscale shopping spot with lots of options, I highly recommend South Coast Plaza! My Personal Rating : 4.6 Mall 4.8/5 Staff 4.5/5 Price 4/5 Ambiance 4.9/5 Cleanliness 4.8/5

Yelp
HANDICAP PARKING VIOLATIONS AT SOUTH COAST PLAZA This review is specifically directed to all Parking Enforcement Officers at South Coast Plaza. There is a small section of handicap parking right in front of Din Tai Fung designed for older and medically disabled folks who need the spots. With the holidays approaching, there are more and more cars WITHOUT HANDICAP PLACARDS nor license plate handicap stickers who refuse to move their cars when handicap folks like me ask them to move. Most of these entitled people are delivery drivers and regular folks who just happen to be shockingly inconsiderate and rude. There are evenings when I see the parking enforcement officers in their pickup trucks or bikes drive past these cars and don't ticket or at least reprimand them. Why is that? And by the way, some of these drivers WITHOUT HANDICAP PLACARDS sit in their cars and get on their phone for 30-45 minutes. South Coast Plaza Management, I hope you do something about this because I feel bad for other seniors like me who are in worse conditions and can't walk too far yet are still semi-mobile. Thank you for reading.

Yelp
This was the first time I went to South Coast plaza. It was recommended by my co-worker. It is a very big mall with lots of high-end stores, food area, etc. went there early and so it was nice to browse or shop before it became crowded. Many great stores to check out or shop at. I want to commend the security and his manager, who helped us get back to our car. They were both very helpful, patient, and nice. When you go, remember that there is a north and south parking lot. Remember which store you entered through in case you get lost later. Definitely will come back with family or other friends. Also to check out the other building that is also part of the mall.

Yelp
A large luxury mall with some affordable options and tons of vibrant foodie spots. I love coming here to check out stores like Abercrombie, Nordstrom, and Uniqlo, while also stopping to dine at Maregume, Din Tai Fung, and Cha Redefine. I love that you can cross a bridge to the other plaza where Apple, Lululemon, and Nike are located. This store as a little bit for everyone, but the luxury portion can be intimidating to walk by. Parking is also a hit or miss here. There's a lot of parking, but if you're here on a weekend or the holidays prepare to park far. Fun fact, there's also a Nespresso store inside of Bloomingdales which is also a reason why I love coming to South Coast Plaza.

Yelp
Bougie mall lol It is very clean and well take care of. You can find a lot of high-end stores here. There are also some "normal" range stores. That's what I call them lol Like Macy's, Sephora, and Bath & Body Works. I hit the normal stores for the most part. I did go into Bloomingdales as well. I walk right past all the high-end stores, that are ridiculously priced. No thanks lol I don't need to go bankrupt just to shop there. There's a nice fountain area, that is gorgeous. It's such a pretty foundation! And we stopped at the stage, because there was some sort of group singing, or maybe a competition. I'm not sure. Each person would go up on stage and sing, then the next person would join. We found a cool food court near the back of the mall. Lots of cheap eats there! They had ramen, boba and churros. That's a great place if you are on a budget.

Yelp
It's a great place to shop and enjoy your time. It brings together world-renowned brands in a spacious and stylish setting . The restaurant options are top-notch too, so you can easily spend the whole day there. The only thing I don't like is as a devoted dog owner, I was excited to explore South Coast Plaza. However, my enthusiasm quickly waned when I discovered their strict no-dogs policy. While I understand the need for cleanliness and safety, it's disheartening to be excluded from such a renowned shopping destination simply because I have a furry companion. With so many pet-friendly alternatives available, South Coast Plaza's refusal to accommodate pets feels like a missed opportunity for inclusivity. Until they revise their policy . Aside from the fact that they don't allow dogs, this place is great for shopping, This is one of the largest and most beautifully decorated malls in Southern California , there's no denying that.

Yelp
South Coast Plaza is a premier shopping destination.. that's clearly outside of my tax bracket. I recently stopped by on a hunt for a rehearsal dress for my brother's wedding. Unfortunately the average person can only shop at 2% of their stores. My go-to spots have been Aritzia, Nordstrom, Sephora, and Abercrombie. This mall is mainly home to an impressive number of designer boutiques, including Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Versace, Cartier, and Hermès. Because of it's high end clientele, South Coast Plaza has become a tourist attraction in Orange County. The mall is sleek, elegant, and always clean. You'll find new pop-ups and themed attractions, depending on the time of year. I docked a star due to the mall's very limited dining selection. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Din Tai Fung, Paradise Dynasty, and Le Shrimp Ramen. But the mall's food diversity is practically nonexistent. They're also clearly missing the presence of a local coffee shop! While I won't be indulging in retail therapy at South Coast Plaza, it's definitely a fun spot to window shop / people watch.

Yelp
I have been at this mall for more tva. 15 years but it feels new every time!my suggestion is park across the street.

Yelp
My partner needed to go to MAC at South Coast Plaza. She was able to purchase the items she was looking for here. Prices were good due to her discount lol We found good parking and found the store easily. The mall was nice, easy to navigate, and we loved the real, fresh flowers. This is bougie mall...

Yelp
South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa is a massive shopping destination that offers something for everyone. Spanning multiple blocks, this mall has it all--from luxury boutiques to more affordable brands, a wide variety of restaurants, and plenty of parking to accommodate the crowds. Visit: I visited on a Saturday night just before their 8pm closing time, and the mall was surprisingly quiet, which made for a peaceful shopping experience. Navigation: Given the mall's size, it's easy to get lost on your first visit. With multiple floors and bridges connecting different sections, I found myself relying on the directory several times to find my way around. Thankfully, there are plenty of escalators to help you move between floors, and the mall is well-equipped with restrooms throughout. However, some of the staff seemed unfamiliar with the layout, which speaks to just how vast this place is. Ambiance: South Coast Plaza is beautifully maintained both inside and out. The interiors are adorned with lush green plants, giving the mall a fresh and inviting feel. The outdoor bridges are particularly stunning at night, with elegant blue lights that highlights the surrounding greenery and seating areas--perfect for a relaxing stroll. Overall Experience: If you're looking for a diverse shopping experience in a clean and aesthetically pleasing environment, South Coast Plaza is definitely worth a visit. Just be prepared to take some time getting your bearings in this enormous mall.

Yelp
This is my favorite mall in all OC and it's so beautiful and elegant and there are so many good restaurants!!

Yelp
The South Coast Plaza Mall is very large. Ad malls across the US close, this one is still rocking. On the weekends it can get crowded and parking can be a bear, but it is a very pricey mall, so they have valet parking as well. It is beautiful inside and out and they really keep it super clean. Sure there are some empty store fronts, but for the most part it is doing well. There is nothing cheap in this mall so plan on spending money. When I was there last year I spent 7K at La Perla alone on bras etc for my daughter. This time I did not look for it so I am not even sure if it is still there. They have the most wonderful carousel for a fee and that also can get crowded. The horses and other characters are beautiful. The service at this mall is always great and it is just so pretty. They have their anchor stores like Nordstrom and a great selection is to be had there. It is also a great place to walk, it you like to walk malls. The places to eat are great from a few cheap stands to Watergrill and other fine places to eat. You will love it. Bring money.

Yelp
Why the one star? We rode our bicycles to the mall today only to discover that there are no bike racks! We spotted Costa Mesa bike cops having lunch outside at Ruby's next to their bikes so we asked them if they knew where the bike racks were & they said no. We called the mall's information desk to ask where we could find bike racks. We were told there was ONE bike rack in the underground parking garage by the security office & Costa Mesa Police substation. It doesn't seem sensical to not have bike racks at street level and expect the public to bike down a ramp into a subterranean garage and then bike back up the ramp to street level. Well, when we found the bike rack we realized it was not meant for public use which is why the bike cops didn't mention it. It's right by the security office and PD substation because it's meant for their bikes! The City of Costa Mesa thinks it's a bike friendly City, yet its top attraction is not bike friendly. That's a major fail.

Yelp
The best mall in Cali in my mind! I've been coming here for so many years and failed to do a review. I come here at least once a month or every month. South Coast Plaza has the best upscale stores with affordable stores as well. Now if you coming here to get a purse, shoes, jewelry, nice garments etc. this is your mall !!! The selection is absolutely the best! The service at all the department stores are just phenomenal. I have my personal shoppers and my fav stores like givenchy, YSL, and Bloomingdales. They have so much variety it's insane! Their Nordstrom's is the best I've been to in Cali, with a huge shoe selection and clothes. They also have another side you can shop on with a nice Nike store. Also, they have nice restaurants you can choose from. My fav is Quattro, and Din Tai Fung. The food is always good and with good vibes to eat here. The naw Mexican restating Calo Kitchen + Tequila. It's a massive mall but with everything you need! It's plenty of parking and pretty much always crowded. This is the place to go to do all your gift shopping or special occasion. I will continue to come back! Today I got all the goodies I wanted! -Marshay

Yelp
Remember when Water Tower Place (Streeterville, Chicago) was the best mall in the US, once upon a time, and even Oprah lived in the attached condo building. Now in 2023, Oprah moved out long time ago and that mall has so many vacancies. I don't think I'd ever say to myself, let's go to Water Tower place to shop. Now Old Orchard (Skokie) is coming back with a furious passion with its grandiose plans to have more high end stores and apts. and higher level restaurant options. They want a self sustaining community. It may become the best mall in the US one day. But for now, without a doubt, thee Best mall I've ever been to in the USA is South Coast Plaza. First of all, with Din Tai Fung (DTF) and plenty of pahking, what more can you ask for. And it's an indoor mall, so you never have to sweat it or fight snow (Old Orchard is an outdoor mall). There are an astounding number of stores that I can't afford to shop at but Love the fact that they are all here. It's very clean and neat and there's plenty of security so you feel really safe (it's tricky shopping downtown, Chicago). It's also never crowded, it's just a great pleasure to come here to eat and shop. Merry Christmas everyone, hope you find that perfect gift, hope you get that perfect gift and even better, hope you give that perfect gift.
google avatar

Yelp
This beautiful indoor mall is all decked out and ready for Christmas! In front of Macy's is the gorgeous gigantic Christmas tree with all the festive lights. There is live music playing holiday classics, Santa's village, and carousels. My boyfriend and I have come here 3 times already and love the holiday magic that this place creates. They have all kinds of high end shops and mid-ranged boutiques as well. There are tons of great restaurants too! The first floor of Bloomingdale's has a food hall that is the home of many fantastic restaurants. So far, we've tried Paradise Dynasty which has amazing dim sum and Le Shrimp which has really decadent ramen broth made with shrimp. I highly recommend both restaurants! This is by far my favorite indoor mall! We come here mainly for the food. During our most recent visit earlier this evening we went to Marugame Udon that has incredible udon and tempura. Definitely check it out! It's busy during the holidays but we've always managed to find parking. It's a bonus that there's free unlimited parking!

Yelp
I visit this plaza when in the area, the last two weeks we've been here twice. It has many stores, designer brands and even the more affordable good stores. I really like the variety of stores. My fav store to visit is UNI QLO. Love this place, I also like to stop by Zara but this location is very unorganized, it is always messy. This past weekend we stopped by JD, it is a shoe/sneaker shop with some clothing. We arrived about 10 mins before they closed as my husband knew what he wanted, just a grab and go. We are in line to pay, at this point it is about 8:00-8:01, they close at 8pm. This lady who works at this store who is very loud, yelled, "This is why we don't get out on time cause y'all be buying stuff after hours." It was bad customer service to hear an employee yelling this around customers, being very loud and being very careless on how she spoke. This location has many good stores and other than the JD store incident we always enjoy our time here.

Yelp
Love coming here during the holidays to see all the decor. This shopping center is a high end one known for its luxury and couture stores. It's a large one, but easy to navigate. When in the mood for heavy retail therapy, this is a good spot to go to. They also have some nice restaurants here. My favorite is Le Shrimp Ramen on the bottom floor of Bloomingdale's. Also a good spot to refuel before going back to shopping.
google avatar

Mina F.

Yelp
Very nice mall, I've been here a handful amount of times to do some small shopping. I love the interior as well as the amount of stores in one location, helps get a lot of things done. The downside is as a young African American woman, I tend to notice lots of stares and people watching me every time I go into a store or walk around which is weird because it's a shopping mall and I'm shopping but for some reason this mall in particular seems to discriminate against black or brown individuals. Keep in mind if you go there, you will be stared at as if it's impossible for us to have money and shop.
google avatar

Molly M.

Yelp
Something for everyone. This mall is massive. There is also a bridge that connects to a whole other building across the street. Lots of high end designer stores, something for the kids, furniture, casual, etc. There is something for everyone. Came here most recently to visit Santa. Arrived at 10:20 AM on Sunday, and I was #75 and there was already a 2 hour wait. At least this time, you don't have to wait in line the whole time. They take your name and number and you're put on a virtual wait list. Now this, I can do. There is a reindeer carousel and coloring station to help you past the time or you can do your Christmas shopping or eat. Santa's Village was beautiful. The carousel was only $2 per kid. The adults were free if you're with your kid and not occupying a seat. They sold little balloon animals with "feet" for $10. I almost bought the reindeer one. They texted me 2 hours later to check in, and it's just another 10-15 min wait from there. Their packages are pretty reasonable. They have this option to take a pic with your phone with Santa for $10/pose which is not bad. They have noisemakers for your littles to look at the camera. It's a lot of families so Santa is not there to chit chat so if you're looking for that, you will not find that here. They do go through the line pretty quickly. Afterwards, they gave us a coupon for a free carousel ride and train ride. We love coming here and will return next year!

Yelp
LUXURY BRANDS ! My wife and I were back here on Saturday for just our 2nd visit. The more we explore this huge indoor shopping mall the more upscale stores we see.....Louis Vuitton, Valentino, Stella McCartney, Ted Baker London, Lacoste, Givenchy, Cartier, Gentle Monster, Giorgio Armani, CHANEL Boutique, Christian Louboutin, Coach, Breitling, Burberry, BVLGARI and many more. We were here to buy a bed at Bloomingdale's and have another fabulous lunch at Din Tai Fung. THIS MALL HAS IT ALL ! NOTE - Of course with 20 million views of my Yelp reviews and pics world wide in 2023 I can tell you what is great !
google avatar

Dave L.

Yelp
South Coast plaza is the very best mall in California, and I happily call it my home mall. No one gets into the Christmas spirit unit you hear the carolers in December by the giant Christmas tree. South Coast Plaza is changing like all retail stores. The super rich keep the high end stores doing well. The middle class has been using the internet to buy their clothes. This has changed the type of stores. There are less stores for the middle class to shop at, and a lot more high end stores are doing very well.
google avatar

Kisha L.

Yelp
This is my favorite mall. l love going to this mall. It's very upscale with high-end shopping, like Gucci, YSL, Burberry, Louis Vuitton, Nordstrom, Cartier, Balenciaga, etc. If you like name-brand clothing, shoes, or handbags, this is the best place to buy those items. Orange County's tax rate is 7.75%. Los Angeles County tax rate is 10.25%. Purchasing high-end items at South Coast Plaza is more practical. The mall has two parts. One side has traditional shopping and the other side has premier high-end shopping. The traditional shopping side needs more stores added. The service is good. All sales associates for the most part cater to you. They have high-end restaurants inside Bloomingdales, within the mall, and on the outskirts of the mall. Parking can be tough at times. However, valet parking is available. Overall, this mall is the best place to purchase high-end items. It's a great place to shop and dine.

Yelp
One of the last beautiful malls. stores were fully stocked and beautifully decorated. Great for holiday shopping. Make reservations for Caviar inside Tiffany's - fancy treat

Yelp
OMG... This is the tippy top of shopping malls. I didn't buy anything except some lipstick and a Sandro blazer. The French Designer store with beautiful fabrics... SANDRO. See photo;) The Purple tag Ralph Lauren store... Louis Vuitton. Christmas decorations were so beautiful. Go and walk thru... It is a lol and touch sensation!

Yelp
Stopped by on Saturday, 08/05/23 for the first time. Indoor mall with no food court inside, restaurants are pretty much all spread out throughout the area. This is a high-end, luxurious mall with stores such as Dior, LV, Canada Goose, Fendi, etc. This is also a great place to hang out with friends and family since there is so many seating areas inside to just chat and relax. Overall if you are on a budget and are looking for clothes then this might not be an ideal place for you to shop, but is quite an experience to window shop and look around.

Kathy B.

Yelp
What happened to a enjoyable relaxing shopping experience at this mall?! Unfortunately all the theft has left this mall with a unpleasant atmosphere. I like to feel safe but please hire mature individuals. The rent a cop security dorks immaturely stare constantly and its rude!! Had one literally staring at me while sitting in my car on my phone. Been Shopping at this mall for years, so unfortunate what has become of the atmosphere here now due to all the theft! Their security try to intimidate patrons, their staring and glaring does not make a pleasurable relaxing shopping experience especially when you're dropping that kind of money. Hire people who can act mature about being a security guard and act accordingly.

Yelp
This is our go to mall. We absolutely love coming here it's the holiday season so of course as you know, it's packed with people shopping having fun. I love the fact that it's very dog friendly . they've got a Starbucks reserve which we love And the Christmas decorations and displays are over the top top magnificent. Another much-needed point, is the security they do have very good security. We felt very safe in the parking lot and everywhere that we went.

Yelp
They have a lot of Koi's here as well as a bunch of high end stores. Great place to walk around!

Yelp
Just came to post the LNY decor. Its a good mall to come during certain holidays especially Christmas because they make pretty displays. Your to go shop for middle - luxury brands. Avoid on weekends it is a sea of people and esp near Christmas lol

Yelp
Been to South Coast Plaza a few times and it's a really great mall to shop at if you're financially abundant. The mall is divided into 2 sections: regular everyday stores and then you have the upscale stores like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Canada Goose, Versace, etc. My experience here was always great. Besides the parking situation, the mall and the people who shop and work here have always been very kind and friendly to me. There are few shops here that I love going into and buying stuff from. I personally don't shop here often but when I'm in the area, I always make it a pit stop. Warning: The parking situation gets a little chaotic. I don't understand--if America is in a recession, why is there parking lot wars happening at the mall? It doesn't make any sense to me. This place is always full. If you can't find a parking spot, I suggest you valet to save time, frustration, and your blood pressure from skyrocketing. Again, This place is not for everyone. Stores are a bit pricey here. If you looking for quality and high-end fashion stores, this is your place. If not, there's other locations that you can find items at a reasonable price.
google avatar

Julie P.

Yelp
My favorite place to shop! You may not know that this is one of the largest malls in the country with an amazing number of luxury stores like a Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Celine, lower price point stores like Forever XXI and Uniqlo, and anchor department stores that include a really good Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, Macys and Saks Fifth Avenue, along with a Reformation, Zara, COS, and everything in between. There are some good food options and lots of parking. The mall itself is clean and always feels upscale. The best of everything in one place! It's so big that I still haven't been able to get into every store in this mall but I will keep going and when anyone asks where to shop in Orange County, this is THE destination for shopping fashion and luxury in Orange County.
google avatar

Linda V.

Yelp
Parking is dicey at certain peak times but there is ample parking if you are willing to walk. They have many stores. It's mostly an indoor mall but has many high end stores that are convenient to me to get repairs and other things done eg Oliver people's and Omega. There are live events/shows for kids and families on the weekend from time to time. Be aware there is more than one Starbucks's within the mail. I placed a mobile order and it was at a department store's Starbucks rather than the stand alone one within the plaza. Didn't realize until 30 minutes had passed before asking because the line as so crazy at the stand alone starbucks by din tai fung in there.

Yelp
The South Coast Plaza Mall is very large. Ad malls across the US close, this one is still rocking. On the weekends it can get crowded and parking can be a bear, but it is a very pricey mall, so they have valet parking as well. It is beautiful inside and out and they... Yelp
Actually I feel quite uncomfortable after a tour to Max Mara store in the south Coast Plaza. The whole story is as followed: Yesterday I went to MaxMara store , directed by the sales called SHELLY. SHELLY introduced me several clothes with 50% discount. I tried and chose 1shirt and 1dress.Today when I arrived home , realizing that both of them are of the whole price. Today when I call them, SHELLY fully denied her primary cheating phoney words. Each shopper, be careful.

Yelp
The food was absolutely phenomenal. Although it's hard to get a reservation, it is worth the wait. I always order the chicken dumplings, spicy chicken wong tug soap and the chicken fried rice along with a lychee martini. The service is quick and attentive and the ambience is elegant yet relaxed. Lastly it is also surprisingly affordable. My wife and I really enjoy coming here. I highly recommend.

Yelp
Arguably the best place to shop in all of southern California. It's always a special treat to visit South Coast for some shopping to splurge or to grab some good foods options. You can spend multiple days here just shopping alone with the variety of high end stores and popular store mall options. It does get very busy during the holidays, but it's sort of part of the fun. You kind of forget that malls are dying when you visit South Coast. The displays and decorations, including the Christmas tree are really awesome to see during this time of year.

Yelp
I love Macys, this is the only department store that has Lancôme sale w gifts, the gifts that came w a $39.50 purchase are worth about $135 so it's a great deal they have this sale about 5,6 x a year. I stock up on Lancôme every year for Christmas gifts for my daughters. People in Vietnam, my last vacation n on all my cruises asked me what were my secrets to get a good complexion, the answer is eating lots of fruits n vegetables especially tomatoes grown in my backyard and use Shiseido compact sunscreen. I have been using Shiseido about 15 years, it's crazy to see Californian girls get so tanned they look like beets then they will get railroad tracts on their face by the time they turn 45. No amount of the $400 French face cream can revert the destruction of your face w the evil sun UV. I don't know why nobody else made compact sunscreen like Shiseido, I ran out a year ago n have been looking all over the world n was told it was discontinued! Imagine my shock to see it is available today, I bought all their supply n lucky me they had a sale 15% off, I was so happy as my trip to Thailand is coming n I need the sunscreen, it's so hot in Thailand you would get skin cancer after years of exposure. Today I was busy so that was all I bought, normally I would check out the "last stand" clearance up to 80% off, I bought a lot of nice things at70% off, something Nordstrom never had at such deep discount.

Yelp
In Southern California, it doesn't snow even in winter, so you can't feel the Christmas atmosphere even during the Christmas season, but if you come to South Coast Plaza, there is a large Christmas tree and the interior is well decorated with Christmas decorations, so it's nice to feel the Christmas atmosphere here. Merry Christmas everyone!

Yelp
Fourth of July theme. Not as good as the Christmas theme, but overall embodies the Fourth of July spirit. Lots of good stores and restaurants to shop and eat.

Yelp
We love this mall and come here whenever we are in SoCal. It is one of the best malls besides Valleyfair in NorCal. Only down side is no food courts and the restaurants are scattered. Otherwise, it is huge and has many luxury stores.

Yelp
A fun place for all ages especially this time of the year. They have the most beautiful decorations throughout the entire mall. Great selection of designer stores as well as children's places.

Yelp
Service depends on the store you go to, great selection, almost all high end designers are here. If you are looking for something high end. You will find it here. Just like going to rodeo drive.

Yelp
This is a great big mall with a lot of high line expensive stores, but with some that are totally affordable too. I come here mostly for the restaurants and amazing sweet shops. They have so many to choose from. Laderach is my current obsession. It is the best chocolate in the world. Literally they actually won an award for it. And the votes were right on!

Yelp
Hi Sharon, So nice hearing from you and reminiscing about our time "on the coast" last fall. Gee golly being out there almost made me feel like one of those girls - I can't remember the family name - but it starts with a "K". Marve says that's a dumb letter to start a name with, but you know how grumpy he gets when he gets heartburn. Anywho, thought I'd tell you about when we went back to "the coast" to pick up Mark - he says he now goes by "lil Marky Mark," but he'll always be "Mark" to me gosh golly! Mark wanted to fly back, but Marve insisted we drive to pick him up. Of course we got a rental, can't be putting those miles on our cars. So after 30 hours of driving we arrive, and you know a girls gotta shop. So Mark pulls out his iPhone and finds "South Coast Plaza" Sharon you wouldn't believe this place! Five anchor stores! (Thought the local lady I bumped into - she didn't even say "Ope!" - said they don't consider forever 21 an anchor, and gave this ghastly eye roll.) I looked at some gorgeous bags In Bloomingdale's. **Marve - if you're reading this, Christmas is just around the corner ;) ** And apparently Marilyn Monroe sunglasses are back in!! And Sharon you wouldn't believe it the North Face there (I think it's like a Columbia/LL Bean for rich people?) had a "cold room." I had to ask what it was, and they say it was to try the coats on! Ya know, because it's so gosh darn warm there. I asked the salesperson why they needed the "double down" big fluffer of a coat if it's so warm here and she said, seriously, "the nights and wet season can get pretty chilly here." I think I may have let out an involuntary giggle. Well any whose I gotta get going, this gardens not going to de-weed itself!! All the best, Becky. PS- tell Steve I say hi. We should grab coffee some Saturday before it gets too cold to get Stella's. Overall- 4.75/5 Quantity of stores- 5/5 Selection- 4/5* (*many stores don't have smaller waist sizes under 32 in stock for men's) Great place to shop til you drop, many "luxury" brands under one roof. Home goods on the other side - huge mall.
