Texas-Indian Austin Food Pop-Up by Austin Chefs Will Serve Barbecue Biryani | Eater Austin

"As the South Congress Hotel’s lobby bar and on-site bakery, Mañana is serving themed drinks for the pop-up: the lobby bar offers two cocktails tied to the Pleasing Saloon pop-up, while the bakery is serving a nonalcoholic Peachy Cheeks Pleasing Lemonade made with a white peach–fennel seed syrup." - Nadia Chaudhury

This spot is perfect to grab a drink (or three) after walking along south congress. Its super spacious so you will always find sitting and space for your 🛍️ shopping bags. Nice drinks. Gets busier on thursdays

June 2025 The South Congress Hotel Lobby Bar always been our place to hangout while shopping on South Congress Avenue. On this day we decided to enjoy lunch here where I ordered the Avocado Toast. This meal was very good and had great flavor, and enjoyed it very much. The bartender was very nice and this bar is a great place to get out from the heat. December 2023 Ordered a rum and coke and the bartender suggested using Diplomático Rum and it was good. They make great drinks here and also have a food menu, but this visit was just a drink and a place to hang out. Very nice bartender.

This is one of my favorite bars. They recently updated the furniture and it looks so good! It's very comfy and the drinks and fun. The bartenders are always very friendly. I never have a issue finding a seat either which is a huge plus. There's plenty of seating and lounge areas. Last time I had the wings and I was so shocked at how good they were. Will definitely order them again and again.

Bradley at the lobby bar is awesome! He is very kind and wonderful to chat with. He gave us ideas on what to do while touring Austin. We did not have food but the drinks were great!

I LOVE THIS BAR! Super extensive bar menu and great snacks! It's very aesthetically pleasing, but cozy too! Great date spot, but also plenty of room for family and friends. The staff is so sweet and very professional. Also, the lighting is dope. Makes everybody look really pretty.

Bartenders are helpful and knowledgeable, treat them god and they will reciprocate. We were at the bar. Seemed to be a concert out back. Drinks can be a bit expensive but there are a few cheaper options. Nice chill spot to hit before a show or event along south Congress

We stopped in for a drink, and to honestly charge our Tesla in the parking garage. I was told by front desk staff that parking was $10/hour, unless we purchased food or a drink from the bar. We were greeted and given friendly and helpful advice on the drink selections. My wife and I ordered a drink each, enjoyed them and upon requesting my bill, I asked if I could get parking validation. The server suddenly went from helpful to annoyed. Threw the check on the table near us and I received a "uh huh," when I thanked her. The drinks were a overpriced, ($15 - $17) and the furniture was not comfortable. I'll look elsewhere next time.

We were there on both a loud and crowded Saturday night and a Sunday afternoon. Both times the service was awful—inattentive, short-staffed, long wait times. In the evening, aside from being fairly ignored by staff, the room was too loud. There’s no insulation for the noise with high ceilings, hardwood floors, and mostly bare walls. On Sunday it was a quiet place to work uninterrupted. I would not recommend visiting unless you needed to be there.
