Video footage is not working, time logs are wrong. the manager Accused me of trying to ask for a refund for a second car when it was only 1 car. If they had correct records he would know. I dropped my credit card and couldn’t get out…. so I had to pay twice within minutes. Accused me of lying and will not issue a refund.

First hr free, $1.25/hr there after. Decent price.

Parking is cheap. First hour is free. After it's $1.25 per hour.

Yelp
We have used this parking garage several times while in Walnut Creek, and we have never had any issues here. We feel very safe leaving our car, and the price per hour is $1.25, which is very reasonable. It is very hard finding street parking, so I'm glad we found this garage close to all the restaurants downtown. They have stairs and elevator as well if you can't use the stairs. Make sure to take your ticket with you as you will have to pay before you leave the garage. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Reviewing a parking garage may not be a topic that stimulates much interest, but if you ever have to look for a place to park while in downtown Walnut Creek, this may stir up some interest and maybe even a glimmer of excitement. Visitors to the area can avoid the headache of looking for street parking or getting lost or having to circle the blocks until a space can be found. Plus, street parking is more expensive! South Locust Street allows the first hour free and then $1.25/hr afterward. This parking garage is in an ideal location, because there are so many popular restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance. It's not the largest parking facility I have been to. There is a limited height range and the spaces are a bit narrow. During busy days, you may find yourself circling around until you reach higher elevations. Fortunately, we didn't have to experience too much stress during our parking space search. Driving a big pick up truck can do that! Exiting and paying was quick and convenient. We will most likely be using this facility again during our next visit to town.

Yelp
I'm not a big fan of this parking lot. The building was small, the parking stalls were tiny, and the driving lane inside the building was very narrow. It was very difficult to turn at each corner without a fear of crashing into another car coming from the opposite direction. I did appreciate that the first hour was free though (and subsequent hours would be $1.25 per hour - as of November 2022). It's an option when you're desperate for parking, but personally I probably would pick other parking options the next time I'm in the area.

Yelp
FREE first hour and $1.25 per hour after. That's cheaper than the $2 per hour, 3-hour limit metered specs at the curb outside. Pay with cash or credit card before returning to your vehicle. We parked on the 4th level even though there were spaces lower down. Why? Because for some strange reason, many drivers with full-size SUV's think of their gas guzzlers as being privileged and squeeze into compact spaces like no one else will ever notice. There were some spaces on 4 that had pillars between the spaces. No door dings there! The only downside that was obvious is that the elevators were on the darker sidewalk. Brighter lights or even better yet, glass walls would be better but I suppose that would be expensive to retrofit.

Yelp
Signage was very clear that you needed to pay before returning to your car. Signage next to the elevator was very clear what level you were on. Rates were fantastic. I have a service dog who is in a stroller we needed to take the elevator it had urine in it

Yelp
Parking around Walnut Creek, with all its restaurants, shops, and theater requires a bit of skill, luck, and patience. I tend to lack all three when hunting for parking, so I prefer South Locust Parking lot. Its never fun to pay for parking, but I like South Locust Lot for many reasons: 1. First hour is free, and then like $1/hr! Try getting that rate in SF! 2. Location - Locust St is an easy walk to the theater and many WC restaurants. 3. Spacious - I almost always find a space here. Plus, easy to maneuver around with good-sized spaces. 4. Relatively easy to get in and out.

Yelp
You will get stuck here. There's only one lane leading out, the other is permanently broken, and inevitably somebody is going to not know how to pay or not have their money on them and they will just sit there staring blankly and yelling at everyone. I've spent 15 minutes trying to get out of this garage before. I've had a free ticket to turn into a paid parking because I was stuck behind somebody who didn't know how to pay to get out. Yesterday a woman got out of her car and ran off somewhere for 10 minutes blocking the exit. The exit line was backed up beyond the second floor. If there is somebody actually working at this garage, I've never seen them since they seem perfectly happy to have a line of 30 cars choking the exit. There are other parking garages, don't use this one.

Kevin H.

Yelp
Worst business practices. So Wednesday's it's free after 4 pm but if you lose your ticket they charge you $25. They basically extort you to get out. Do not recommend.

Yelp
If you're ever needing to be in the Downtown Walnut Creek area, parking at the garages is the best bet as it's much cheaper than metered parking. So what's the cost? Well the first hour's free so you're already winning there. Meters are $2/hour. Now you get a second hour free if you go to a business that validates parking. Make note that San Francisco Creamery doesn't do validation. Past the hour it's only $1/hour. But beware, during peak times you're going to have to battle for a parking spot. During Saturday lunch time there was only 7 spot open left, so come early and find that parking spot! There are also a few other Parking Garages just a little further from the center but all the same pricing. So one thing to keep in mind, keep your token with you and make sure you pay before you head back to your car. The machines are on the ground level and take credit for payment as well as cash.

Yelp
Confirmed first hour is FREEeeeeee! I like the idea of getting the first hour parking free so I was just across the street buying a coffee. It's very convenient as I don't always have coins with me. Parking structure is pretty big with multiple floor and finding a parking is not a problem!!!

Yelp
The Apple Pay is a joke and never works. The parking assistant is unprofessional and rude. I forgot my wallet and all I had on me is the apple pay, which according to the sticker they accept. Although I have tried paying with Apple Pay before at this place before and it never worked, when I realized I don't have my wallet on me, my last hoe was to try the Apple Pay again. Of course, it didn't work as usual. When I explained the situation to the assistant on site, all he had to say was "check your device"! For $3.75, he made a woman sit in her car at 11:00pm for one hour until my friends arrived to pay for me. This is how cheap this place is!

Yelp
This is my go to parking garage in downtown Walnut Creek. I can always find a spot and it isn't as crowded as the Broadway Plaza garages but just a short walk away. It is conveniently located for a trip to The Nail Shop for a mani/pedi and/or to Pyramid for a beer and snack and/or many other things. 50¢ an hour - maximum charge of $3? That's pretty much like being free, right?

Yelp
When I hear people occasionally complain about parking in Walnut Creek, I'm amused. Based on my 20 years experience in Greater Berkeley, what are you guys complaining about? Street parking spaces open up much faster than those in the People's Republic, and just look at all those lots that range from Free to 50 cents an hour! So please don't let all that apparent narcissistic entitlement burn a hole in your pocket! The South Locust Street Garage is conveniently located, and if you eat or shop right, validation is available. Of course I'll roam the street a bit looking for parking. But after deciding otherwise and finding a spot up the lot, I'm just fine with the whole thing. And I always us the stairs for exercise, knowing that the parking fee that makes this possible is cheaper than my gym membership.

Yelp
Great prices parking lot. But good luck finding parking on a busy Saturday night. The sign said the lot was full but we took a chance anyways. We found one spot all the way on the top floor. I felt the lot was safe well lit and secure. Definitely would park here again.

Yelp
PARKING METERS EAT ALL MY CHANGE Metered parking in Walnut Creek is terrible. It's expensive and sometimes requires great patience to find a spot. It's much nicer to park in a garage. Safe, well-lit, affordable parking is provided in this garage. There are a couple of great garages on Locust. It's the one on Main Street that I think is a nightmare. And the one on Olympic (by Ruths Chris). Those are both terrible! But as far as parking garages go, this one is generally more convenient and less crowded.

Yelp
Really upset about the fact that I was trying to look for an attendant to report a hit and run and I couldn't even find any contact info. All I wanna do is ask if they are able to provide me with any video footage so hopefully tomorrow they actually pick up their phone
google avatar

Ivy S.

Yelp
If this garage is full, it doesn't tell you. It makes you get your token drive completely to the top turn around then leave again. All the while you could have been looking somewhere else for parking. Luckily the day I came here it wasn't full. I was able to park in my normal very tippy top spot that I like to park in. I had lunch at Lark Creek with clients and they validated. I highly recommend getting your token validated. Also take the stairs. It will help you burn those extra lunch time cocktail calories off.

Yelp
I love this parking garage, mainly because it is so near Locust Street Deli where I can get a Philly cheese-steak for 5 dollars. A good spot to park if you're going to do some shopping on North Main. I think it's much better than taking your chances with the infamous WC meter maids. The place I worked for in WC always covered my parking expenses, but the prices were reasonable nonetheless.

Yelp
This is one of my to go-to garages when parking in Downtown WC. Yes you pay to park, but it sure ain't much (a dollar an hour after your first hour? If you can afford to cavort around Walnut Creek, you can afford that!). And any longtime resident will tell you, it doesn't pay to take chances on parking in this city - just about everyone has some manner of parking ticket to show for it! (Here's mine: http://www.yelp.com/biz/genova-delicatessen-and-ravioli-factory-walnut-creek?hrid=UALNRHWTYnyxHSzFPBazqA) This garage is right next to Lark Creek and Tender Greens, and is no more than a couple minutes walk from any downtown shop or restaurant you are heading to. The garage is a smidge claustrophobic, there are some tight corners that speed demons will make treacherous for you. Don't be one of them! But I have had good luck here, even finding spots for dinner on a Friday night. You might end up on the roof in a rainstorm, but hey - that's Walnut Creek!

Yelp
SO GREAT! I love being Duchess of this joint. :) Somewhat tucked away, I feel like most people don't know about this place...50 cents an hour isn't that bad and its uber convenient.
google avatar

Sofia H.

Yelp
Great parking structure! There is always a spot available and it is always lit up late. FYI - This a great place to park when you go out to dinner at Lark Creek...yum!

Jenny Z.

Yelp
This will be my go to parking lot when I go to Walnut Creek! First time being in downtown, I was trying to find street parking on a busy Sunday afternoon. Did not find any street parking but end up passing by this parking lot. I saw that first hour is free and each hour will cost $1. What a deal! Parking spaces are bit tighter if you have a big car. I end up parking at the top level because there were less cars and I had a big SUV. It also tells you how many spaces are left before you enter the garage. I end up paying $1 for two hours. *If you are planning to get a quick ice cream run at San Francisco Creamery, I suggest you park here!

Margi Y.

Yelp
I hate the parking lot, what used to be fun & easy for shopping has turned into a nightmare!!! It's impossible to be able to have a nice leisurely lunch & be able to shop a bit within the free 3 hours allotted. For one thing it's hard to remember where a person park. If you're late, over 3 hours. The fee is $5, this just makes it so much nicer & easier to shop at Pleasanton's Stoneridge where parking is FREE! Too bad...

Yelp
if you've ever been to walnut creek you know the horrors of the parking meters and the devil like meter maids. i strongly recommend parking in the south locust street parking garage located directly above the lark creek cafe. in the many years i have used this garage i have never seen it totally full and always feel safe getting my car out late night. whether i'm working late or hitting the bars i have until 3am to get my car out of the garage. at 50 cents an hour and no more than 3 dollars for the day it's quite the bargain as opposed to a 20 dollar parking ticket. with dozens of shops and restaurants in the surrounding area your able to get validation for the garage so you have more money to spend downtown shopping.
google avatar

Yelp
Highly underrated as a garage in Walnut Creek. It's nice on the eyes, it's convenient, and I can always find a spot. Yes, you do have to pay for it (but nearby businesses like Peet's validate), but it's only a few quarters. And really, what's a little pocket change for the peace of mind you get when you don't have to scour the land for a parking spot?
google avatar

Jayla K.

Yelp
This parking lot is awesome! it's only 50 cents parking which beats street parking!! Plus, I get to park in the shade and I don't have to walk far to get to the street. Just remember to bring your token with you so you can pay before heading back at the machine on street level which accepts credit card and coins. I think quarters work best because when I tried putting dimes and nichels they just got returned. FYI: The tokens may be validated depending on where you go to. I haven't had the pleasure of getting validated because I forgot to ask :(.

Martin M.

Yelp
Have parked at this garage many times and it is pretty painless. However yesterday I had lunch at the Lark Creek Restaurant and someone went into my car and helped themselves to my change and small bills that I keep in the car's pull out compartment for parking (about $15-20). The money was not visible so they just swept the inside of the car and did not take anything else. I probably left the car unlocked as there was not any obvious damage to the door. Most likely someone was sitting in their car watching and saw an opportunity. Bummer for me but glad that my car window was not broken. First problem ever parking in Walnut Creek. Figured that I would note this one-off in case it is part of a larger pattern that goes unreported.
