Got a cup of hot chai latte with almond milk. They have a deli too, the veggie wrap was delicious. It’s a cafe, grocery store and a deli as well. They have wine and all sort of drinks to choose from! They serve intelligencia coffee and have the beans for sale as well along with beans of some other beans too. Very nice staff and cute lil cafe. They have flowers too for sale! I asked for Change for a $20 and was told they didn’t have change so I saw that the bananas said $1.29 per lb so I took one single banana, he just charged me $1.01 for the single banana. I needed change or I would miss my bus for school so I accepted it.I live in the building above the store and they have always given me change, today was a bad day, I will not shop here anymore. Bad customer care, go to the other store across the street.

Visiting Chicago for the Automate show for the week from Pittsburgh. Was trying to find a place to get some snacks, bottled water, and some beer. Asked the front desk and they recommended this place. I have been going the past couple days now. Very friendly people and much better prices than paying for everything at the hotel. Definitely more expensive than what I’m used to back in Pittsburgh, but being in Chicago I feel like the prices were pretty reasonable considering the convenience. They had a lot of options to pick through for about everything. Will definitely be going back. Ooh yeah and these cookies I found are bomb! They are in the pictures, highly recommend trying.

Very kind staff and clean inside! Good all day deli/bodega food. Way better than the Starbucks across the street. Great for people like me staying in MCormick

The Sandwich was very good

In all honesty, this SLM has some of the best sandwiches in the city. 10/10 would recommend.

I was in town for a conference and stayed at a nearby hotel. I don’t really like conference / hotel coffee so came here everyday for a cappuccino. They are amazing and on the third day even remembered my order. I’ve been told their sandwiches are great, may try to grab one on my way to the airport.

Stopped in for beer before a game at comiskey. Good selection - wish they had more food options but definitely good near the stadium.

So apparently both stores are the South Loop Market though it seems like they're separate businesses. I recently went into both to shop around. The mostly convenient store part was absolutely expensive. Not too have healthy choices at all or decent deals. Something a few bucks in the suburbs is $10 here. The other establishment next door has a big deli and rotating menu. Staff wasn't too friendly but the BLT was good though it was grossly overpriced! Smaller food selection but different options compared to the store next door. Overall, I do not reccomend

Whether you live nearby or are just passing through, South Loop Market is the neighborhood hero. Always clean, well-stocked, and surprisingly gourmet -- you'll find craft snacks, local brews, and quick grab-and-go meals that actually taste good. Staff is friendly and efficient, and they somehow remember everyone's favorite drink. Prices are fair for the convenience, and their coffee bar is so underrated.

Cute local market to get some breakfast essentials like milk, eggs, yogurt and hot beverages! Other go-tos like prepared salads, fresh produce, & cold drinks. Staff was helpful. Walking distance & can use own reusable shopping bags. Convenience store like with comfortable shopping experience. It did not disappoint. Thank you!

I love this market, especially the deli! The customer service is great. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap - it was delicious! Great selection of sandwiches, snacks, and wine.

If walking from McCormick Place, it's the third set of doors, not the grocery/liquor store that is also South Loop Market. Great little cafe walking distance from McCormick Place serving intelligentsia coffee, breakfast sandwiches, doughnuts, along with other sandwiches and drinks. I feel you get a lot for your money considering the hotels and other food options in the area.

I received the worst service from the women at the deli at this small breakfast establishment. After calling my order once it was ready the woman that worked there threw my order on the counter & proceeded to leave it there and return to the businesses back of house. Before even proceeding to order I was stared down while simply looking at the menu to figure out what I wanted. Overall the energy of this place was terrible & I would not recommend at all, and the quality of the food was a 7/10.

This is a great store if you're staying at one of the local hotels and need to grab anything - food, fresh fruit, toiletries, beer, wine, alcohol, meds, etc. - they have it.

I visited this location several times to see if it was just maybe that day was bad but no poor customer service. The prices are very high and I understand you're paying for connivence. The women preparing the food are always talking to each other awhile before greeting you taking your order. The women preparing the food were eating their food while preparing my food. This was final straw why I stopped coming it's just unsanitary. Then it takes way too long for a breakfast sandwich. The guy cashier or owner is always sitting in chair on side on his phone texting.

Small market by the hotel. Had liquor which was a boost. Nothing bad about the store, reminds me of a mini market.

Had a fire Cubano sandwich and the folks behind the counter were super pleasant and nice! Will definitely come back!

The South Loop Markets are top-shelf, high-end grocers. I really enjoy shopping them (usually at 17th & Michigan) and find that, while they have a smaller selection, because of their smaller footprint, they have most of what I need when a quick trip is all I have time for. While their prices are higher than chain stores, I like shopping with them because they are impossibly clean. All of them. However, the one at Michigan and Cermak really takes the cake. I mean, there's clean, there's South Loop Market clean, and then there is clean like this store (Michigan & Cermak). It's a lot of work and I thank them for their effort to make this particular shop a compelling place to buy. A special shout-out to Kyle who, even though he was elbow deep in cleaning (I entered right before closing) he was more than hospitable and pointed out everything I needed as a first-time visitor. You could tell the pride he takes in his store as he took the time to show me around and help me find what I needed. When I was in the hospitality industry, I recommended this store to my guests who were going to McCormick for a convention as they could stock up on drinks and snacks far less expensively, with a far-wider selection, and with far more taste and flavor than anything they could ever find at the convention center. What a wonderful discovery! South Loop Market is located just down the street from the Marriott Marquis we were staying at. Kinda glad not many attendees knew about it because it's a hidden gem that seems to be frequented only by locals. Some colleagues found it and told us to get breakfast there. Instead of waiting 30 minutes at Starbucks across the street, you could have a fresh breakfast burrito or croissant sandwich and hot coffee within 10 minutes. Plus you should peruse the selection of snacks throughout this "tiny but mighty" convenience store. Reasonably priced and lots of variety. Normally I wouldn't walk into a liquor store like this one, but it wasn't as shady as I expected... and the quality of the food was good. Definitely beats trekking out to Target or somewhere else to get snacks. Actually I hope more people find out about this (when I'm not in town) to keep it in business for my next trip there.

Place is priced higher than the airport. Just sad that they try and take advantage of people. Also, how on earth can you guys try and charge $35 for a pack of Juul pods?

Such nice people! Small but mighty corner store. We Came in from out of town decided to pick up some wine cheese fruits and sandwich meats. Great selection and great quality. They also will slice you meats and cheeses if you prefer not to buy from their pre packaged section. I forgot something and they went out of their way to help me get it. Much appreciated. Go here if it's close to you, it's definitely worth it.

This place was absolutely terrible! I went there and found almost everything was near, or past, expiration and when I brought it to the gentlemans attention, he just said that it was still good! This employees name was Sunny, however, dispute his name, his attitude and character was anything but. He was beyond rude and asked me to leave the store because I was "Questioning the quality of his products!". I would not be surprised if this place was a front for some much more nefarious activities, because it is obvious they do not care about cleanliness or customer service, or well being for that matter.... Also...there is a yellow urine filled container outside to the right of the entry way that states.."No dogs or animals allowed near store!". How messed up and disgusting!!

Very convenient and good selection of snacks, soda, beers and liquors. Clean and friendly staff. Liqour sales to 11pm during the week and 12 midnight during the week.

I was staying at the Hyatt for a convention and am kicking myself that I only went to this great market once. It had pretty much everything I needed from deodorant to delicious espresso and everything in between. Seriously, the espresso is worth the walk from the Hyatt. I would have done it every morning had i known how good it was. One of my buddies stopped in here a few times over our visit and said he always had a good experience. The lady behind the deli counter was extremely nice and the guy working the register was super helpful to me, answering any questions I had. If you need something quick and you are in this area, I definitely recommend this as your go-to place.

Area around the convention center is a wasteland with nothing to do, no restaurants, and no grocery stores. Get your act together Chicago. This market looks to cash in on the lack of competition with airport level prices. $6 for OJ or a box of cereal, $4 for an ice cream bar, etc... Better than nothing but I never thought I would be wishing for a 7-11.

Been staying across the street for the past few days and this little market has been providing essentials (water, snacks, beer, etc) The staff have been pretty nice so far, the place is quiet and clean.

I have been working in the South Loop area for 13 years. Typically if you want a deli sandwich or something quick. You would either have to go the Local Grocery store or Subway. I'm very happy with South Loop Market. They offer fresh deli at an affordable price along with coffee, soup and they have a great Craft beer selection. Employees are very helpful too. I Come here at least once a week.. South Loop Market is the way to go for a quick bite and other things in the South Loop area.

This store is so nice. I was just around the area and I found this store, it made me curious so I went in. It is just a small grocery store but it was so clean. The shelves are organized properly and it all seems fully stocked. They have a limited selection but it has a lot of products and items that are just the same in other big grocery stores. They also have a few selection of fresh produce. They have a wonderful selection of beers and other local beers so I got my self one and a chips that I also found inside. Staff in the counter was so nice and friendly too. Prices on some may be higher but I think it was just fine if you needed something convenient. Overall, it was a cool store.

Bad service stood waiting for 10 minutes no other customers three ladies working not one acknowledged me. I turned and walked out. Everything seemed way overpriced and the items looked like old expired food. I went here once before and got a muffin and coffee and the muffin was pretty old. Would not recommend. There are other shops like this in the area that has fresh items for fair prices.

What a great store! Wonderful selection of beverages and food. Bulk snacks, standard grocery staples as well as fancy cocktail party fixin's, made to order delicious deli sandwiches & breakfast burritos. What more could you want? Staff was very nice and helpful during all of my visits. Prices are very reasonable and not high at all. What a gem! This place can really save you if you're staying at a hotel for a conference at McCormick. I'll be back!

Nice 1 stop shop. They have coffee, tea, bakery items, salads, chips, small necessities like cough drops, earbuds and travel size Tylenol, just to give an idea. Staff was nice too. This is what you call a convenience store!

I visited South Loop Market twice while staying at the Hilton Chicago for a conference, which is just a few blocks away. The staff were SUPER-friendly - all 4 of them I had contact with. The hot breakfast sandwiches are very good and ready in less than 5 minutes. They have deli sandwiches and salads to go, and a good selection of other foods for such a small store. And, much less expensive than the hotel food shops. I highly recommend this market!

This place may not look like much on the outside but don't let that fool you. It's a great market with a great selection of snacks and specialty items and reasonable prices. In addition they make incredible custom sandwiches using Boars Head meats and cheeses. I stayed at the Hilton property across the street and this was an easy walk! Friendly people inside who are eager to help you find what you need.

I love South Loop market! Well stocked, clean and excellent customer service. Must try their superb delicious sandwiches. Will be back soon.

I love South Loop Market! As a resident of the Lex, this store is very convenient and because of the excellent customer service, I am a regular. All of the staff are great and treat everyone with respect and kindness. The Deli has a lot of great selections and the desserts are my weakness! If something is not available, the owner tries his best to accommodate you. I appreciate great businesses who value their consumers/customers.

I've been to that location a few times and let me tell you I'm impressed with the selection of craft beer that they have, ohhh and don't get me started on their delicious deli they have wow bore head meat I'll take two. It's very convenient I don't have to drive all the way to Petes. Family friendly establishment.

The prices were pretty high compared to the liquor found at the Walmart neighborhood market. They also only had one variety of ciroc, which was disappointing. They had everything else that I needed at the last minute though.

This market has all the goods any softball team needs to get ready for a doubleheader!! My firm always stops in to fill our coolers with their wide variety of beers and snacks right before heading to our game. If you ever need a good hearty-tasty sandwich, this place is a must!!! =)
