The noodles here are so delicious, everything is fresh and also fast. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. It's a cozy , very clean space. Parking behind the building in a municipal lot. Everything we got was outstanding. Can't wait to go back, I'm dreaming of those noodles.

Google
A go-to spot if you're looking for a good, authentic, noodle soup with the right amount of spiciness and flavor! The atmosphere as you walk into the restaurant should be a good indicator to the quality of the food, and this place aces that as well.

Google
Excellent Yunnan rice noodle restaurant in Brighton. The rice noodle dishes all come with lots of toppings, but you can always add more. Braised beef rice noodle soup has a rich, flavorful broth, but not heavy. Rice noodles with gravy has cubed stewed meat sauce, incredibly flavorful. Pickled veggies had a salty and tangy flavor, very refreshing. Cold dishes were also well seasoned with traditional Yunnan spices. The owner also opened Yunnan Kitchen in Back Bay, another excellent restaurant.

Excited to have this place in Brighton center, looking forward to coming back. Very hearty noodle soups with flavorful meat (can vouch for the braised beef and braised pork noodle bowls)

Google
We love this place, but the dishes are so tiny now. This is what we get for $9 spicy beef. Only half size compare with before.

Google
Yunnan cuisine is spicy but less greasy and more veggies than Szechuan cuisine. Very friendly staff. Authentic feel and taste

Google
This food is so good it made me swoon like a cartoon character after the first bite. I can't put my finger on how to describe the taste of the gravy noodles, my go-to, but it's just impeccable. Add to this the best small-shop atmosphere and it's just a total home run. Go here; six stars.

I have literally been dining at this place at least once per week for the past 3 months. I have been always satisfied with their food and staffs, everything went great and I nearly tried everything on their menu. Until today, I was paying for my meal, then I realized this old male chef kept standing behind me. told him I was about to type my security code since I did not bring my wallet so I have to type my credit card info. I asked him to stop standing behind me and keep some distance since after I turned around, I saw he was directly looking at the screen. What he said was a shock. He told me to just hide it from him and covered the screen with my hand. I was not so sure but I heard him cursing me in Cantonese afterward cause I was speaking mandarin to him. I really did run out of word for such a rude and annoying service provider that I have never met in my whole life. If you can let this happen ever again, I would better suggest you to close this shop. Seriously. I am making g this stamens that I never fabricate a single piece of what happened today. So you need some more work to do definitely to stop losing regular customers.

Yelp
3.5 - South of the Clouds serves comforting chinese soups and sides. The rice noodle soup in clay pot had a really nice broth flavor, but the uncooked spam was a little off-putting (wish they added more of the braised beef instead). The bean curd appetizer tasted good but only when dipped in the chili oil. The food is decent but quite expensive for what you actually get. Our server was really nice though! She left a cute note and made sure we were taken care of.

Yelp
For a quick Friday dinner, my friends and I decided to get some rice noodle soup at South of the Clouds. Arriving just before 7pm, we received seating immediately, placed our orders, and received food promptly. I ordered the rice noodle soup in clay pot / 砂锅米线 ($17.25), described in the menu as "signature rice noodle cooked in clay pot with special broth topped with braised pork, quail egg, & assorted handpicked vegetables). The portion size seemed reasonable, and the ground beef seemed well-marinated. The marinade mixed into the broth for a decent contrast of savory flavors. However, the bowl had sat for a bit before serving, rendering the rice noodles slightly soggy and the broth warm but not hot. I also have a personal pet peeve with soup served in stoneware or earthenware - it should arrive piping hot, just off boil. Otherwise, using stone/earthenware is moot.

Yelp
Lots of available street parking. Food came out really fast. The noodles are super soft and soup is flavorful. I got the braised beef noodle soup and the beef is extremely tender and packed with flavor as well. It was really hot inside the restaurant. The price was a little steep for the quality of the food, hence the rating. I also got the tofu and it was cold and flavorless unless you drench it in the chili oil sauce. The waitress was really attentive and always came to fill our cup for water and bring extra napkins. She was so cute! She wrote a cute little note on our bill :)

Yelp
A friend and I walked in on Monday for lunch. It wasn't that busy. We were sat down immediately. EXPERIENCE The service was really impressive. Especially for a small mom and pop asian noodle place. I suppose it wasn't that busy, but the sever was super attentive. She brought us extra napkins and water before we even knew we needed it, and we needed it since the food was kind of spicy. Also, random note, they were playing Taylor Swift, the album, the entire time we were there, and I enjoyed that very much. FOOD (5/5) Braised Beef Rice Noodle Soup - this has three spice label on the menu, the highest was six spice. I thought I could handle it. While it was spicy, I managed, I overall still enjoyed the experience, but it was definitely noticeable. I sniffled and gulped water. Still delicious though. The noodles were well cooked and I was surprised how much I enjoyed them as I don't normally love rice noodles because the can be overcooked easily. The bokchoy was a nice edition, gives a break from the spice. The beef was incredibly tender and flavorful. Highly recommend if you can take a bit of heat. OVERVIEW This place was quite affordable. Really delicious and flavorful, but beware the spice! Amazing service. Good tunes. I want to try more of their dishes in the future. I highly suggest you come here! Its a good causal spot for a fast meal, or to sit down and catch up with friends. Try it for yourself!

Yelp
I've always walked past this place but finally got the chance to try them today for lunch. We went for a late Sunday lunch and there were a few open tables. It felt a little dark where we sat even though we were next to the window. Probably would be fine for dinner but would've been nice if it was brighter. We ordered the braised beef rice noodle soup and the jalapeño jar jar noodle soup with braised pork. The braised beef soup was good, but I felt it didn't have as much depth to the broth as I would've liked. The braised pork in the jalapeño soup was much tastier than the beef. The waitstaff was attentive and friendly. Overall a good experience, will return to try their apps and the stir fried noodles..

Yelp
Stopped in here last Saturday for dine in around 7pm. Ordered two bowls of noodle soup. One signature rice noodle in clay pot and one non clay pot. Surprisingly we liked the noodles that looked like spaghetti. They had a nice chewy/bouncy texture to them which was fun. Both bowls had many ingredients including spam which was unusual but it worked. Other ingredients in my bowl were pickled veggies, ground pork, bok choy, cilantro, beef, and scallions. The broth was good but with the various ingredients, it became layers upon layers of delicious flavors. I would definitely go back and try other items on the menu. The place is small, a third of it was blocked off and the remaining dining area had about half a dozen tables. There's a municipal metered parking lot to the left of the restaurant when you're facing the front, otherwise street parking.

Andres D.

Yelp
Yum! I got delivery so I can't rate the vibe but my pork and rice noodles bowl was very good. There are a large combination of flavors going on with all the many ingredients but I felt it all came together well. The broth was particularly tasty. It's definitely not ramen but I thought it was a similar flavor profile and I would get it for the same occasions. The bowl is pretty big, with plenty of noodles, and comes with a lot of broth on the side. Though be warned, the delivery took a long time, probably 20-30 minutes longer than estimated.

Frances L.

Yelp
Great spot for Yunnan food! They are known for their rice noodle soups, which I've never had before. I got the rice noodle soup in clay pot and it was huge! Super spicy as well. The appetizers were amazing as well. I really liked the pig ear and tofu.

Peter W.

Yelp
I've had a few of the noodles for take out during the pandemic. I really enjoy the broth's flavor and the noodles are great. The veggies were fresh and the meat is good, but a bit tough. Noodles are separated from the broth when packed. Service was good. In case you are ordering for someone who doesn't like spicy: The braised beef is the spicy noodle dish. The beef stew is the non spicy one. The Legendary Crossing the Bridge Noodles looks great in the online pictures and menu. It was a little disappointing as take out. Certain items were packed together and of course no raw beef.

Victoria X.

Yelp
*municipal parking lot available in the back* What I enjoy most about the menu here is that I'm not overwhelmed by a cluster of options. The noodles here range from $9-$13 which is great and their noodles, and soup, are absolutely delicious. The noodle is nice, tender and medium-sized thick, and their soup has tons of flavor, but isn't overpowering. The beef noodle in house made soup was so savory and satisfying; highly recommend you get this if it's your first time here! We also had the fried pig ear which was a nice compliment to our main meal. Customization is also a part of the experience since you can order an additional noodle portion, or any add-on toppings to your noodle entree. There's a NY location as well and I will be going there in the near future :)

Yelp
With authentic Yunnan cuisine being such a hard find, especially here in Boston, it was a pleasant surprise to stumble upon South of the Clouds after a long drive down from New Hampshire. With an unassuming interior and exterior, South of the Clouds absolutely floors you with the quality and authenticity of its dishes. Starting off with the classic Sliced Pork Ear and Fu Chi Fei Pian (an assortment of spicy cuts of beef served cold), our taste buds were in for a treat right off the bat. The pork ears were cooked just right so that the cartilage was soft to nibble right through - it also helped that the fragrant chili oil which enveloped the ears provided a nice contrast to the rich collagen. The Fu Chi Fei Pian was no different, though appearing to be spicier than it actually is, each delectable morsel of tripe, tendon, and brisket were eagerly gulped down. It also helps that the menu here is relatively simple and they don't distract you with a myriad of options. For my entree, I decided to go with the classic Braised Beef Rice Noodle Soup. Here, tender morsels of beef sit in a slightly spicy and fragrant broth - paired with perfectly al dente rice noodles. This is the type of noodle dish that makes you want to pick up the whole bowl and slurp it down. I will note that I wish I had gotten the Beef Stew Rice Noodle Soup instead as while it's not spicy, it contains the cuts of beef I personally prefer such as the tendon and other fattier cuts. That aside, South of the Clouds will not disappoint - just be aware of the differences between the two seemingly similar bowls of beef noodle soup!

Angela S.

Yelp
Really good soup noodles from Yunnan. I got the beef noodle soup and hotpot noodle soup. The noodles are slippery and a little broken up, possibly due to the way it's made. I don't think it's supposed to be al dente in anyway, but the noodles were basically falling apart after awhile because they had been in hot broth for so long. I preferred the beef noodle over the hotpot. The beef broth was very tasty withought being super salty. A touch of chili oil was great. The hotpot also comes up burning hot so take car of your tongue. I wish they had more options for side dishes. There's a couple cold options like beef slices and bean curd. Pretty typical Chinese appetizers, and very much reminded me of restaurants in China. Next time I'm craving noodle soup I'll likely come here.

Yelp
What a surprise! My cousins were telling me the Yunnan Crossing Bridge story and it intrigued me to give this place a try. It's known for its authentic Yunnan cuisine. There is a parking lot out back, which is always a plus in Boston. The interior is a traditional Chinese restaurant layout, very clean and has multiple tables. We started off with the classic Sliced Pork Ear and Spicy Beef Tripe in Chili Sauce. The portions were tiny for the price, however, it was super tasteful. The pig ear was cooked perfectly that there was still a good crunch. The beef tripe had great spices, I couldn't stop eating it. For the main, what I came here for, I ordered the Rice noodle soup in clay pot. In my opinion, my entree was better than all my friends'! It's rice noodle with braised pork and vegetables cooked in a clay pot. I feel like the clay pot helped keep the flavors within. Their special broth is extremely tasteful. You can always add toppings, including more noodles! It's a quaint place to go to for a quick meal. I will definitely be back!

Anna F.

Yelp
Got the spring roll appetizers and tofu vegetable noodle soup. The noodles were really good, and the peanuts had a nice crunch, and were unexpected. Tofu was tasty too. The broth was a bit strong for me. My friend had stir fried noodles with a quail egg on top. I liked the candy they gave you for dessert. I've never had it before. It's this creamy tasting Chinese sucking candy with a fun cartoon on the wrapper.

Yelp
Tried this restaurant with a couple of friends as this is one of few restaurants that specialize in Yunan Rice noodle soups. The menu is pretty simple, 4-5 appetizers and 4-5 kinda of noodles. We got 3 appetizers - Chinese yam with blueberry sauce, smoked tofu, and crispy pork with salt and pepper. For we each got a different kind of noodles - clay pot, regular braised meat, and one with soup on the side. The clay pot one was probably the best as the noodles soaked in some of the flavors of the soup. However, I didn't think the rice noodles were amazing and the ingredient that came with the dishes were limited (some braised meat, a couple slices of luncheon meat, tomato, and scallion for the most part). Would be nice if they added some shiitake mushroom and some more green veggies, bok choy or spinach for example. The flavor of the soup could be enhanced as well - might be better with a richer chicken broth? It's not a bad place to get a quick and cheap meal (yes, the service is very quick - you get your dishes within 5-10 mins) and the portion of the noodles was generous. But I don't think the food was exceptional so I won't have the urge to go back any time soon.

Diane Z.

Yelp
I really like noodles and this place specializes in rice noodles, so I had to try it. Verdict on the taste: delicious! I love the texture of the noodles; although it is rice noodle, it has a similar texture to flour-based noodles and is very chewy (different from Vietnamese rice noodles). The broth is flavorful but not overpowering. They have a variety of different meats and vegetables that can be in the noodle soup as well. I first found out about this place because they would do mass deliveries to MIT campus for weekday lunches. My friends and I would order food the day before or morning of, pick up the food at the designated location on campus, and enjoy it together. After schools closed down but before we could no longer dine in restaurants, my boyfriend and I decided to dine in this restaurant since we like their food and want to support local Chinese restaurants. The service was excellent; food came out really quickly. We enjoyed the vibe in the restaurant, especially the music playlist which was a mix of Chinese and English pop. As a plus, there's a parking lot nearby with free 2-hour parking. When we went for dinner, we were able to find a spot, although there weren't many spots available. That was the only time we got to dine in. Since then, the coronavirus situation has escalated, and we've just been getting take-out from time to time. We still always enjoy the food!

Melanie W.

Yelp
Small local Yunnan resturant. Not much selection in the menu and all noodle soup seem to be similar with the same ingredients. Fried pork is so good dipping the salt and pepper. The rice noodle in clay pot and braised pork rice noodle is okay. The yam with blueberry sauce is something new you might want to try but it just mashed yam with blueberry sauce on the top. Street parking only.

Yelp
South of the Clouds serves piping hot noodle soups! This is the season for them to shine! I live near this place but definitely don't come here enough. You definitely can't go wrong with getting any of the beef soups! Its classic. The last time I came here, I got the Beef Stew Rice Noodle Soup! For between $11-$13 you get a super piping hot bowl of soup. Remember to blow your noodles/soup before eatin or 90% chance itll burn you hahaha you won't be able to taste any amazing foods for days, I promise! All tables have small jars of chilli oil and such for adding more flavor to your noodle soup if needed. The noodles are thick, but they aren't dense at all. You don't feel clogged after eating :) good stuff. All staff speak English and Mandarin. I feel like most of the time, they default to speaking Mandarin if they think you might speak it, but don't feel shy, they can speak both! I've once tried the soy milk a while ago, maybe when they first opened. I wasn't a huge fan of how chunky it was, but the noodle soups here are worth raving over :)

David S.

Yelp
uncultured and ill-mannered staff. I worked as a driver and all the time I saw ill-mannered treatment of drivers

Rich U.

Yelp
In the mood to try other noodle soups besides pho or ramen? Well, I've got the place for you. South of the Cloud specializes in rice noodle soups from Yunnan and they are mighty delicious. Food: See pic (65%) Taste to price 4.5/5 Quality to price 4/5 Portion to price 4/5 Average = 4.17 Service (20%) Friendliness 3.5/5 Promptness 4/5 Average = 3.75 Cleanliness (15%) Bathroom n/a Dining area 4/5 Kitchen area 4/5 Average = 4 Overall Score = [F(.65)]+[S(.20)]+C(.15)] = [2.71]+[0.75]+[0.6] = 4.06 What else to know: I've been coming here since their grand opening last year. Each time, I've seen some kind of improvement in their operations or soups itself. I remember their first day and they were extremely slow. I was so close to leaving that day as I waited 40 minutes for a table and another 30 minutes for my noodles. In the end, I'm glad I stuck through it as I would have missed out on a gem. Nowadays they are streamlined and the food comes out pretty quickly. Times sure has changed, for the better :) If I'm starving my go-to has always been the Rice Noodle Soup in Clay Pot accompanied by the Crispy Fried Pork. What I like is the minimal menu, it makes ordering a cinch. You barely see that from a Chinese restaurant in the US. I dislike having to go through chapters of a menu trying to figure out what their restaurant is known for. You don't want to be that guy eating raw oysters at a cheeseburger joint only to run to the toilet minutes later. Because of this minimal design, the food has always been consistent which is another plus for me. This puts me at ease knowing I can rely on this restaurant each and every time. **If you enjoyed my review, follow or add me as a friend. I have tons of reviews like this.

Fan S.

Yelp
Authentic Yunnan rice noodle place. Who would resist the deliciousness of savory broth with generous amount of meat and rice noodle!

Tiffany C.

Yelp
Fantastic noodle spot! Menu is limited to a few preset soup combinations and you can add a variety of toppings for a dollar or two each. I went in on a Sunday afternoon, it was off hours so there were plenty of tables. The SO and I each opted for the Beef Stew Noodle Soup and it was fantastic! Hot flavorful soup, soft rice noodles and melt in your mouth stewed beef pieces. We'll have to come back and try a bowl with some of their toppings! Plus homemade chili oil on the tables - definitely warrants a return.

Briana K.

Yelp
AMAZING FOOD. I've only ordered takeout, but everything is packed so well and tastes sooooooooooo good even when I eat it at home. I've tried the hot and sour noodles, jalapeno jar jar rice noodles, and stewed beef noodles. Noodles are perfectly chewy, and the flavors are just phenomenal and so unique, especially in the Boston Chinese food scene.

Sara S.

Yelp
My colleague recommended this restaurant to me several times and I like Yunnan soup noodles, so I decided to give it a try. I had braised pork rice noodle soup and crispy fried pork strip. I love the rice noodle here - slightly chewy yet tender. Have mixed feeling for the soup...it was a little bit salty to me, but I like the bit of chili oil in it. The fried pork strip was not very impressive. It was crispy, but just not so savory. Overall the food was 3.5 stars, but given there are so few good Yunnan noodle places in the area, I'd give a 4-star.

Deja V.

Yelp
Seen this place for awhile but finally stop in. We ordered braised pork noodle and braised beef noodle. Both was decent and not out of this world like I expected. Service was great and friendly staff. They need better ventilation in this place . You come out smelling like smoked noodle. We probably would come back to try other bowls

Catie C.

Yelp
Been driving past this many times anticipating what would replace the sushi joint. Answer: Chinese rice noodle soup joint Disclaimer: photos on menu may not resemble the actual dish you're getting There weren't much renovations. The sushi bar was still intact! Appears, the difference is the few additions of wall scrolls around the dining room. They are friendly and do service tables in a timely manner. As for the soup, it wasn't spectacular. It definitely was not worth the price. If my clay pot soup was in the $7-$8 range, I would be satisfied. For $12, at least gimme real spam that's a thicker slice! I don't even know why our soups came with luncheon meat since it was not indicated on menu.

Bowen C.

Yelp
This is the best Yunnan style rice noodle you can get in Boston! Very authentic, the flavor tastes like you were in Dali, Yunnan. Highly recommend

Phyllis L.

Yelp
I think there is room for improvement; especially with the waitresses. The waitress I got today was clearly bored but that's fine. I got braised beef rice noodle soup. Really liked the broth. They didn't give a lot of meat which is fine with me. I went there for the noodles. I'm more of a noodle person then meat. Their spicy beef tripe could use some improvement. Less oil maybe. Would I go back? Yes, I will.

Srey Y.

Yelp
I am a vermicelli noodle soup lover but for some reason the one I ordered here was not the way I had imagined it. The soup can get salty because the noodles absorbs the flavor. There is no meat on it so you will have to enjoy the oodles amount of salty noodles. My two friends had the regular noodle soups and those were very tasty and delicious. Filled with meats. Next time I come here, I will have to order what they got. Highly recommend their fried pork. Crispy goodness! Ah, the prices are decent as well!

Charlotte Z.

Yelp
I ordered rice noddle in clay pot, really like it, the noodle is soft and the soup is clear but flavorful, I really like the fried pork(maybe fried pork fat) in the soup. Also the pickles makes the soup better. Don't miss their spicy sauce, really authentic!

Cherry L.

Yelp
Got fried rice noddles and it was beyond expectation. Although some ingredients are not the same, rice noddles here are pretty close to what authentic Yunnan rice noodles taste like!!!!

Cindy C.

Yelp
I love their rice noodles a lot, though I don't usually like spicy noodle soup. There are various choices of meat and toppings in the rice noodle soup. I've tried at least three different kinds now. All of them are very good. My favorite add-on toppings are tofu skin and fried egg. I've dined in and ordered them on Uber eats multiple times. Service and delivery packaging are nice. They might mistaken tofu skin for bean curd sometimes. But that's fine, they are both good.

Augustus Z.

Yelp
Awesome dine-in experience! The reasons of why it is a 4-star-awesome but not a 5-star-awesome: noisy milkshake machine. It's way too loud for a small restaurant. Authentic Yunnan rice noodle. The soup is really delicious! The hot boiling soup served in a iron pot cooks all ingredients in a second right at your table. This kind of experience combining with the carefully made soup and rice noodles makes this restaurant a must-go-again place. Service is great! The waitress was really friendly and patient when serving the hot boiling soup. She also made really good recommendations for the items on the menu. Good job! Last but not the least, the parking is really easy! Amber parking on the street, or right in the municipal parking lot net to the restaurant. Please buy a quieter milkshakes machine :-) Or please find a solution to make a small cubicle for that machine.

Matthieu L.

Yelp
This restaurant is a breath of fresh air especially in an area dominated by Americanized half-assed Chinese food. They strive to serve authentic Yunnan noodle soup along with delicious appetizers. The broth is rich but not overwhelming and the balance of ingredients is great. The decor is also trendy and clean and the service was quick. Also, I respect the owner for not choosing some stupid name like golden wok or something.

Ronggu C.

Yelp
The wait is long for the weekend. We waited for 30 min for a party of 3. We ordered 3 apps and 3 noodle soups. Apps - beef slice, bean curd, fried pork. Beef slice and bean curd is cold and a bit hard. So we decided to save them to pair with noodles. I ordered the first noodle soup on their menu. Added a little vinegar and the flavor is just right on spot. We also soaked the beef slice and bean curd in the soup and it turns out to taste much butter. Generally I would give it 5 star. If I'm around the area I may come back. I'm a noodle person :)

Genna L.

Yelp
Their rice noodle with gravy was soooo good (especially when it's piping hot!). The noodles were round and chunky, and the soup had a mixture of tomatoes, peanuts, beef, and other spices and sauces. Highly suggest adding pickled vegetables, which adds another dimension of flavor and crunch. The rose pudding is also great! It's less of a pudding and more of a dessert soup/drink. It has a jelly-like topping and is really refreshing (not too sweet). The blueberry yam was less exciting; it didn't really have a flavor to it and was not my favorite. Will definitely order again to try their other noodle soups!

Alli A.

Yelp
Yummmm. The vegetarian noodle soup will literally heal and comfort you! I've had three times here and can't bring myself to try anything else yet. It's too good! So flavorful and nourishing. Super fresh. Hidden gem of Brighton

Lisa L.

Yelp
This place is totally not worth it. I went there one evening. They said they wait would be 15 minutes. They had empty tables but didn't clean them out. Waiter Waitress are standing around not knowing what to do. I waited for 20 minutes and finally decided to sit at a dirty table. They eventually cleaned it. The waitress came took the order and we sat there and watched people who came after us getting their food and I asked what's going on. The waitress checked with the kitchen said our food was sold out so they didn't make anything or let us know. I asked how long do we need to wait for the rest, they said 45 minutes. Then I already waited their for about an hour. Expect the worst service you will ever seen in the United States at this place. Stay away and don't ruin your evening. Update -- I decided to give this place a shot again and have to note that the food came quickly and the food is actually delicious! It is worth trying.

Josh Y.

Yelp
Above the Clouds has a very specific menu, all noodle dishes, and only rice noodles. Most of the items were spicy, and no level to choose from. For me, it felt more like medium, while others may find it spicier. Rice noodles were soft, but still has a slightly chewy texture. I got the 'dry' noodle dish, which came with soup on the side. The main flavors came from the specialty meat sauce, with toppings such as carrots, tomatoes, and crushed peanuts. Overall, the flavors were very good, and prices were reasonable (~$10-$13). Service was decent, but they apparently do not know how to split payments, which any cash registers can perform.

Olivia Y.

Yelp
This place is as close to authentic Yunnan noodles as you will get in the Boston area. Really delicious!! The only thing is, they cook everything for you vs. bringing out the hot pot of soup for you to dump your own ingredients and noodles in yourself. Definitely would come back and I highly recommend it!

Louis S.

Yelp
Awesome rice noodle! Love this place so much, just like food in China. Will definitely come back again and recommend to my friend:)

Ivy Y.

Yelp
I like the 秘制牛肉粉 the best. A little spicy, but very tasty. Spacious and comfortable space for dining in.

Dani F.

Yelp
Ordered DoorDash delivery for lunch. Noodle was okay but the fried pork appetizer upset my stomach. When it was delivered, my husband and I both thought the pork dish tasted funny. Seems the oil may be over-used or the pork was over-fried. He didn't eat that but I was hungry and ate half of the fried pork. Then hours later I started to have stomach pain and diarrhea. Sth to watch out for.

A start-up restaurant, rice noodle dishes are good, but not authentic. Ham and grounded pork. Normally, for authentic Yunnan rice noodles, raw quail eggs, lots of raw vegetables and pork slices are added in hot boiled pots. Nonetheless, the taste of their rice noodles are not bad. Their appetizers are also worth trying. I wish they could have more choices.

Yelp
I ordered uber eats from this place. The taste is good and authentic from my chinese stomach opinion. Packaging is solid. They also give you a little side soup if you order stir fried rice noodles. The portion is not very big, as my boyfriend said it's not enough for him. In both dishes, there was only ONE quail egg.

Yelp
Great service, good food. No need to BS. The service here really did it for me. They were quick and prompt. I received extra napkins without even asking because she saw me blowing my nose. I'll be back here again

Yelp
The reason that this is a 2 star instead of a 1 star review is that they had the food ready and delivered fast, as advertised. The quality of the food itself, though, was a huge disappointment. The braised beef rice noodle soup, supposedly one of their top items, came with only about 6 small pieces of chewy, fatty beef from low-quality cuts. You can pay a whole $4.50 for extra meat, bringing the total item cost up to over $17, but I'm glad I didn't spend more money on the kind of beef they're serving up. Also, while the item is said to be at 6 out of 10 on the spiciness scale, the broth was fairly bland until chili oil was added. The rice noodle soup (in clay pot) at least had more and somewhat better meat, if you disregard what appear to be a few cuts of cheap lunch meat on top. Both soups ended up being quite greasy as well, with way too much noodle in comparison to all other ingredients. I will say that the veggie spring rolls were good, but that was honestly the only thing positive about the meal. I hate to rag on restaurants when I know they're all struggling right now. However, I had too unfortunate of an experience to not warn others about it.

Yelp
When you get solid Chinese noodles at the speed of pho it's hard to not say that it's good. Also, solid karaage style fried chicken as a starter (which actually came out later than the noodles) make for a solid dining experience.

Yelp
So delicious! My very first time having authentic Yunnan, and it did not disappoint! The both was delicious. Had its own unique flavor different from ramen and pho which I love, and very comforting for a winter day. Cannot wait to come back!
