The 26 Best Things to Do in Miami

"As much as locals might have liked to keep South Pointe Park under wraps, it was only a matter of time before word got out. The park is located at the southernmost tip of South Beach just a few steps from Joe’s Stone Crab, the legendary restaurant that everyone's got to try at least once for Florida’s finest seasonal crustacean. While it’s technically just a city park, this 17-acre haven offers much more than a couple of benches and pretty palm trees to lounge beneath. There’s beach access, a fishing pier, a playground for kids and lots more green space for relaxing. Also, the by-the-hour parking spaces here are not only usually more available than elsewhere in South Beach’s many pay lots but also far less pricey." - Sara Liss, Terry Ward

South Pointe Park – Park Review | Condé Nast Traveler

"What’s the vibe here? As much as locals might have liked to keep South Pointe Park under wraps, it was only a matter of time before word got out about this park, located at the southernmost tip of South Beach just a few steps from Joe’s Stone Crab , the legendary restaurant that everyone's got to try at least once. While it’s technically just a city park, the 17-acre spot offers much more than a couple of benches and pretty palm trees. There’s beach access, a fishing pier, a playground for kids, interactive water features, paved sidewalks for jogging, biking, and skateboarding, and a dog park. Any standout features or must-sees? Given Miami’s art-forward reputation, it’s probably not surprising that the park benches here are works of art all their own. So grab a seat—or make your way right off the park and pull up a table or barstool outside at Smith & Wollensky—and wait for one of the many cruise ships to make its way past you. Watching one of these gigantic boats head out to sea is a one-of-a-kind sight. Was it easy to get around? The park is large but very open, so it’s easy to see where you’re headed. There are signposts, too. And there are always people around; if you find yourself unable to locate the fishing pier (the big structure hanging over the water), just ask one of your fellow park-goers. All said and done, what—and who—is this best for? If you have limited time, decide what's most appealing; if it’s people-watching, find a seat near the promenade and gaze away. If you’ve got kids in tow, they’ll love the playground and water features, especially on a hot day. If you’ve got a fur baby, head straight for the Bark Park." - Jennifer M. Wood

Get here early, early for $20 all day parking or use public transit or Uber! Must see destination as a tourist! Beautiful location with palms in green grass for a picnic, walkways to Ocean Drive, kid friendly splash pad, outside showers, public restroom and free beach access. Clean sand and beautiful water!

Google
The park itself is very nice, a little windy almost always. Parking lot is a disaster. Half of it is invaded by valet. On the weekend when we came just for a while, we realized the paid parking became fixed $20/25? dollars per day. It's crazy! Not everyone comes to the beach/park there for the whole day. There should definitely be more parking for that park+beach. Also today, park ranger/security? said that they don't allow hammocks anymore. Like why??! We used to like the park much for our walks and picnics but looks like we need to search for other parks. It has a nice shaded playground and water splash area next to it.

The views here are stunning. All the ships, fish, lizards, just everything is awesome to see!. Its very well kept, no trash, and gives you lots to do.

Took my dog to the dog park and managed to catch some guys fishing for sharks. And they caught the shark. They said it loose but it was still crazy to watch. Who would’ve thought 2025 were catching sharks for fun. I guess it must be a Florida thing?

Absolutely Amazing Beach Experience! This beach is a true hidden gem! The sand is incredibly clean and soft — it feels like walking on powdered sugar. The water is crystal clear, and the whole area is beautifully maintained. One of the highlights? You can actually watch majestic ships passing by in the distance — it’s like a moving postcard! The vibe here is pure joy: people laughing, playing volleyball, music in the air, and families enjoying the sun. Everyone seems so happy and alive. Whether you’re here to relax or have fun, this beach gives you the perfect mix of both. I can’t wait to come back!

Google
What a place to head to at days end for a nice sunset surrounded by lots of people chilling with friends and family. Dancing, roller blading, riding bikes, sitting, laying, acrobatics, walking their dogs and much more to see. Water features, lighting and all around peaceful vibe.

Google
South Pointe Park is my favorite park in Miami by far. I usually come here on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon to unplug, go for a walk, enjoy the ocean views, spotting the container and/or cruise ships going in and out, have a picnic at either the Hills or around the lighthouse grounds, etc. I just love it, just wished it were closer to me.

Google
Wow! We arrived around 2pm on a Tuesday and the lot had 30 spots open. I know it was this exact number because there was a digital sign. It cost $5.50 to park for 4ish hours. There was a sparkling clean bathroom with air conditioning. It is a bit of a walk to the beach but it is worth it. The beach is pristine with gorgeous white sand. The water was crystal clear with very little seaweed. There were tons of families and couples playing on the beach. I can't wait to return.

Yelp
South Pointe Park was a highlight of my trip to Miami. This park is a true gem situated at the southern tip of South Beach. Here's why it stood out: Location & Scenery: South Pointe Park connects to South Pointe Pier, offering a seamless blend of greenery and ocean views. The park boasts plenty of outdoor seating and beautiful landscaping. Walking through the park to the ocean view felt like a dream. It's an ideal spot for enjoying the serene beauty of the ocean and watching boats rock gently in the water. The park features well-maintained walkways perfect for a walk to the beach. With numerous benches and seating areas, it's easy to find a spot to sit and take in the view. Experience: - Peacefulness: Despite visiting on a Sunday afternoon, the park wasn't crowded. The tranquility and scenic views made for a peaceful and relaxing experience. - Sun & Shade: It can get quite hot, especially on a sunny day. While the walkway along the water lacks shade, the park itself has plenty of shaded areas under the trees. Overall, South Pointe Park is a beautiful, peaceful retreat that offers stunning ocean views and a serene atmosphere. Whether you're looking to relax, take a scenic walk, or enjoy some time by the water, this park is a must-visit.

Yelp
This just may be my favorite park in Miami. South Pointe Park is located at the southernmost tip of Miami Beach island, at the end of Washington Avenue. The 17 acres of land for this park was donated to the City of Miami in 1979 by the Federal Government but at first Miami did not see the potential for a park. Instead they built municipal buildings and the Harbor Police, Miami police investigators, and the police horses were all housed here. In 1985 the land was converted into South Pointe Park with an amphitheater, two wooden observation towers, picnic pavilions, fitness courses and a wooden boardwalk over Miami Beach's last natural sand dune. The park was renovated in 1995 and in 2009 the it received a 22 million dollar redesign by the Hargreaves Associates, of New York City. New features added to the park included 20-foot walkways lined with Florida limestone and an ocean-themed children's playground, and splashpad. Unfortunately the splash pad and playground are currently closed. At the southern edge of the park is the large public art piece, Obstinate Lighthouse by German artist Tobias Rehberger. The lighthouse makes a great backdrop for pictures or string a hammock between the palm trees and relax in the tropical breeze. For foodies, Smith & Wollensky is a fine dining steakhouse located in the park. One of my favorite parts of the park is the South Pointe Pier which offers stunning panoramic views of the South Beach shoreline, Port Miami's cruise ships, downtown Miami's skyline, Fisher Island, and giant ships going out to see. I even saw manatees swimming off the pier. South Pointe Park also has direct access to the beach, walking trails, picnic and barbecue areas, benches, and an off-leash bark park. If there is a drawback to the park it is that parking can be a hassle, especially on a weekend. You have to pay to park and half of the lot is reserved for valet parking at Smith & Wollensky. Street parking in this area is scarcer than a unicorn. I came on a Saturday and had to give up. The next time I came it was a weekday and I was able to get a spot without too much of a problem. If you are able to secure parking this is a great park to visit. Another great option is to visit by Citi Bike which you can pick up at different kiosks around South Beach.

Yelp
It's really nice spot to walk or sit down and enjoy the view of the beach and the beautiful ocean and enjoy the water changing colors. It's also suitable for fishing; you can also watch the fish swimming in the water; very beautiful scenery in my opinion. They have seats and gazebo to rest under the shade.
google avatar

Deniece W.

Yelp
This park is a great spot for people and boat watching. You get a lovely view of the beach and the downtown skyline. Sundays are the best day to catch the parade of gigantic cruise ships heading out to sea.
google avatar

Yelp
BEST place to come watch the sunrise and you're right next to Pura Vida & Nikki Beach Cafe. O

Yelp
One of my favorite beaches! This is the perfect beach spot in all of Miami Beach besides the parking. There's a parking lot but it's always busy so you may have to go around it a few times before scoring a parking spot. Other than that, the views are amazing, the water is crystal clear and the breeze is fantastic.
google avatar

Vicki M.

Yelp
Parking in the area was a challenge on a sunny Sunday afternoon. There is a lot for the park as well as street parking. It is a great park to walk or have a picnic or barbecue. There is also a cafe. There is a playground with a splash pad. If you bring your dog, there is a bark park where they can run off leash. I spent about an hour walking the park, the views of the city skyline were stunning, you can also see the cruise ships if they are in port as well as large yachts.
google avatar

Emily A.

Yelp
Oh how I missed this place! It's just perfect and every way between the views the wildlife and the playground it's really just heaven on earth. My children absolutely love the playground. I love running on the path there. Very fun to watch the boats coming out as well. My children loved doing that. I really miss this place! It's definitely safe during the day and early evening.
google avatar

Linh N.

Yelp
Really nice area to walk - spacious and clean. Depending upon the day and time - it can get busy. Sundays you can come down to check out the drum circle - many people gathering, listening to drums and music, dancing, doing yoga. There's a park nearby with a splash pad. There's a small spot there to buy some goodies (snacks, ice cream, etc.) At the end there's a nice pier that then connects you to Miami Beach. There are many spots to sit on the grass - so pack a picnic and enjoy the view. There's a parking lot nearby but it's often busy as it does share the same lot as the restaurant nearby there. Best bet is to find meter parking and walk.
google avatar

George M.

Yelp
The park is plenty nice but the parking and the people have made this a hard pass for us. We really like the design of the park, the views are stunning and the splash pad/ park area are nice. The parking though has become impossible and the beach itself is insufferable. Too many a$$hole that only care about themselves. I don't want to listen to your music on blast on your oversized speaker I will go to a more chill spot for sure
google avatar

Yelp
If you are coming to Miami Beach and have a family, this is the spot to go to. There is something for everyone. Playground and wet play area, snack bar, green area with picnic tables, and even a wallboard to ride bikes... and of course, there is the beach itself. Parking can be a bit tricky, so if you are coming for the whole day, plan in advance and reserve a parking spot online.

Yelp
Loved visiting this park when in Miami. The pier was my favorite!!! You walk off the green area down to the park. there is a long pier and some bike rentals along the way if you are interested. The pier itself is pretty long with tall sides but offers amazing views! We saw big schools of jellyfish over the side and we loved looking out onto the beach area at the beautiful crystal clear water. We also enjoyed that there was a semi-covered area here with a bench where we could sit and take a break for a few minutes in the shade. This is a must visit place if you are at the beach here.
google avatar

Jackie W.

Yelp
Love the pier. The view and vibe was amazing !! Can't wait to go back. The cruise ships would pass by and the view was great.

Yelp
I was visiting south beach and someone suggested to def check out south pointe park. And that was it. It was so so pretty. If you don't have that In Your itinerary then please add that. It is an amazing park ; water front and it has a small playground for kids. I also saw water sprinklers for kids to enjoy. My 2 year old loved every bit of it. The park offers amazing scenic views and lot of greenery. It has a beautiful pathway to walk. Kids will enjoy this park so don't miss out specially when traveling with kids

Yelp
We loved visiting here. The little makeshift lifeguard house was cool. The walk along the waters, we were able to see a huge lizard and some coconuts that fell from the tree. Parking is challenge though. We came again later during the weekdays and no parking. Just a bunch of spaces marked off for valet parking apparently. Valet parking should be banned to be honest.
google avatar

Yelp
South Pointe Park is a very pretty and well maintained area that allows you to take in the beauty of Miami. Whether you're looking to take a walk, bike, skate, nap or just sit and enjoy your surroundings, this place will provide the most relaxing atmosphere to do just that. Perfect for literally anyone. Seeing the cruise ships sail off is one of the most impressive sites! Love this beautiful park.
google avatar

Maria K.

Yelp
This is a beautiful, large pier that connects to South Beach. There's nice big parking lots nearby, a nice splashpad and playground for kids, and a beautiful wide sidewalk alongside the water leading up the pier. The pier itself overlooks Miami Beach and a beautiful row of rocks. It's a great place to bike or walk, lots of places to sit, and a beautiful view all around. After you check out the beach you can go straight to the beach. Great place.
google avatar

Kimberley K.

Yelp
Beautiful walk. Try to go around sunset time. You will see people either sitting on the beautiful lawn or have brought their own chairs. After the walk through the entire place or a walk TO this area... get your folding chair and just STAY. Relax and Observe. Watch how the little children run and play in the fountains. They are a delight to watch ! It's high time for you to relax and enjoy the scenery around you and especially watch how there is such community with everyone there. It just warms the heart.
google avatar

Sylvia G.

Yelp
Love walking around here. So nice and vibrant. Always seems to have something going on. Great for a walk or to hang out and have a picnic. You can find yoga, salsa, and more here on various days. Sunsets are beautiful here. Can get very busy at times and parking is tough so keep that in mind!
google avatar

Jacqueline T.

Yelp
We visited this park twice: once during the day to eat lunch and once for sunset. It's a nice park to visit during the day. There are good views and it's not crowded at all. Don't come for sunset. Parking is impossible to find. My husband ended up dropping me off because there is no parking because of crowds. It was a zoo. I didn't think the sunset view was that great and certainly not worth the being in the crowds. Enjoy the park during the day, skip it for sunset.
google avatar

Sky T.

Yelp
Yes, I like to take long walks on the beach...to Southern Pointe Park Pier! This is a good destination to hit up in South Beach. Some great views of incoming yatchs, rocks, and for you to take some shots! (Double meaning intended. :P) You can fish at the end of the pier as well if that's your thing too, but you have to bring your own equipment. Oh! And sunrises/sunsets here are beautiful too! There are also some fantastic eats a short walk away! The Lobster Shack or Joe's Stone Crab to name a few!!
google avatar

Diandra L.

Yelp
What a beautiful place to be reminded the reasons why you love Miami. South Pointe Park is awesome. Looking for a nice place to go for a waterfront jog? Want to go on a chisme-fueled walk? Perhaps you're looking to read, do a bit of Yoga and just chill while taking in the views Miami has to offer. This is the spot for all those things and more. Sometimes Miami Beach can be chaotic, but it seems here at South Pointe there's enough space for everyone to do their own thing and enjoy the outdoors - whatever that looks like for them. There is a parking lot, but between the hustle and bustle of beach life and the Smith and Wollensky's valet it gets kind of hectic. I suggest coming early, or just knowing that you'll likely have to valet or walk a bit to find a spot. You can also align your walk or visit with the S&W Happy hour, and end your day with a cocktail. It doesn't get more Miami than these views.
google avatar

Erica A.

Yelp
Beautiful clean park. Scenic views of the ocean. They have a kid's park and splash area for them. If you walk further down the park the beach and pier will be there.
google avatar

Raymond R.

Yelp
As a Sobe local for more than 20 years, South Pointe Park is my favorite park on the island. The park offers a variety of options and experiences within its 19 acres of space (for reference, NYC's Central Park is 842 acres). You can stroll the grounds in morning and enjoy some Yoga on the open lawn, or bring the kids to rinse off in the water fountain on your way from the beach, stroll along the park's board walk after dinner at a local restaurant, walk the natural dunes that snake through the natural landscape... I could go on, but I will leave you with my favorite. Every Sunday starting at around 4pm, the monster cruise ships leave through government cut, and there is nowhere else that affords such a wonderful experience to the scale of these vessels.
google avatar

Xenia M.

Yelp
South Point Park is such a lovely break from the hustle and bustle of South Beach. You get beautiful oceans views and views of the city skyline. I went at night, and the trees were beautifully lit up for Christmas! Definitely a must if you're visiting the area.
google avatar

Apple S.

Yelp
Over the last ten years I've been many times to south pointe to walk, work out, meet up, or visit the restaurants around. There's a public paid parking.
google avatar

Yireh R.

Yelp
This place is an absolute gem. They have everything from waterfront walk ways, nature trail, open grassy space for picnics or playing ball, a nice hill and amphitheater like steps, kids playground, beach access, the pier AND a little cafe!! I had been during the day before and loved it, but going back for the sunset was MAGICAL. There are some lighted water features, people with their dogs walking and enjoying life, and the sunset over the jetty waters. Features wise there are bathrooms, water fountains, trash bins, and plenty of stone benches, palm trees where people hang their hammocks, and some fun looking benches by the kids water fountain. On a Saturday night of a long weekend I can say it was moderately crowded... The dog park area was definitely were the most concentration of people were but the rest of the park was perfect. Take a picnic, some blankets, an instrument, book or ball and just enjoy life!
google avatar

Mike K.

Yelp
There's not much to add about this Miami Beach gem, which is meticulously landscaped and clean. It's especially beautiful around sunrise and sunset!
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful sand and lovely views! Enjoyed the opportunity for families and friends to gather.
google avatar

Tim R.

Yelp
The best beach, for sand, waves and scenery.

Yelp
While the rest of South Beach is overcrowded and parking is hard to find, South Pointe provides everything you need on the beach: ample parking in a metered lot, a view of the ocean and port, a playground and park, and beach access While the weekends can get crowded and parking becomes more expensive and difficult to come by, the weekdays here are like a little vacation for anyone coming from mainland Miami. You can bring dogs and jog, bike, skate, or walk up and down the sidewalk that flanks Government Cut. There are lights that make this a pleasant walk day or night. Well-fed stray cats hang out along here and you might get a glimpse of a sunning iguana or a manatee peeking out of the water down by the rocks. You can access the beach here and the water is much calmer thanks to the jetty and the shallower stretch that leads up to it. Next to the playground are a water feature/splash pad that your kids can play in or you can wash off in after leaving the beach. There is also a bathroom and smoothie shop. There is a grassy hill and stairs that often attract exercisers. And if you're into Pokemon, there are lots of Pokestops and gyms around here. Add to that the views, both natural and architectural, and it makes a lovely destination to spend the day or bring out of towners to visit.
google avatar

Ana D.

Yelp
Maybe moving to Miami during Spring Break wasn't the best idea but luckily South Pointe never disappoints.
google avatar

Shawnie P.

Yelp
This place is great for so many reasons. It's a great park to sit and relax, have a picnic, take a walk on the pier, bike ride, watch the cruise ships go by, fish off of the pier or go for a swim. It's very romantic but also great for families and pets are welcome. There is a children's playground and a small splash park. Joe's Stone Crab & Smith & Wollensky is located within the same block as well an ice cream shop and several other restaurants to chose from. There are restrooms and a snack bar right inside the park which makes it very convenient. This is the southern most point of South Beach so you can walk or bike ride through the area with a breeze and you'll get to experience all that South Beach has to offer as well. Although there is parking at the park itself, we park on the next street over next to Nikki Beach. There is a walking path that goes from Nikki Beach to South Point Park. We always have a great time when we visit and so will you.
google avatar

Tensy M.

Yelp
I would give this place a 5 because of cleaningness, beauty, friendliness, and amaziness, but the lack of parking spaces and restrooms take away from it. There were only 3 stalls in the restrooms that were in one of the corners of the park. There are so many people visiting this park daily that it needs at least restrooms on each corner and the middle of it.
google avatar

Veronica P.

Yelp
Beautiful sunrises and sunsets, an off leash dog area, a long walking path, and a playground. Bring a bicycle, a picnic, or come for a stroll. Really beautiful and romantic setting.
google avatar

Arturo B.

Yelp
South Pointe Park is one of the most beautiful parks to enjoy in South Beach. We visit frequently as we enjoy walking around the trail and pier. Summer can be brutal so try coming in the morning hours or later afternoon so it is easier to bear the heat. Wear lots of sunscreen + hat. The view from the end of the Pier is beautiful. You get to enjoy the SoBe landscape, Fisher Island, and boats/yachts/cruise ships entering and leaving out of Government Cut. Great spot for pictures as well. This park is also a great venue for a romantic picnic or one with a group of friends. There is plenty of green space to set your blankets and baskets so certainly give it a try. On holidays it is perfect to enjoy fireworks (July 4, Dec 31). Restroom facilities are nice and clean, though keep in mind they see a lot of traffic so don't expect 5* amenities. happy touring!
google avatar

Lisa C.

Yelp
What a beautiful park! When we drove up we had no idea what we were in store for. The weather was perfect and even though the forecast called for rain, it didn't. At least not for the time we were there. The parking lot was empty, it was around noon. After paying for parking which cost us $2.35 for about an hour, we headed out to the bay which opened up to a most beautiful view of the water and the infamous, Fisher Island. It was lovely and quite serene. There were a few jet-skies that passed by from time to time and a few boats. Even though they brought the noise with them they didn't disturb the mood. They were just having fun on a Sunday afternoon and added to the beautiful scenery and experience. I love finding new places to sink my feet into. What a cozy feeling. It's a perfect park to take pictures. If you're looking for an outdoor space to do a photo shoot with beautiful views and lighting, you won't be disappointed here. I'm glad we brought our camera because it gave us an opportunity to do an impromptu photo shoot. Those are the best. When we decided to leave that's when the parking lot began filling up with people heading over to dine at the nearby restaurant. We left between 1 and 2 pm. Next time we visit we plan on staying a little longer and walking out onto the pier.
google avatar

Lane T.

Yelp
A beautiful park at the southern most tip of Miami--for those who are sand-adverse, you'll find some turf grass, benches, and non-sandy surfaces for lounging or sunbathing here. The aspect of this park which I found most enticing was the South Point Park Pier which offers fishing or just a really cool vantage point of the city. A great spot for some photos- it's definitely worth a visit on any visit to South Beach! There is a generous amount of shade and seating here which provides comfort and convenience to people who find walking on sand a bit challenging or dislike the direct sun of the beach.
google avatar

Yelp
The park & beach was really nice. Only downside there's no restrooms. You literally have to use a portal potty or w/e you call me. That made my skin crawl.
google avatar

Madhura J.

Yelp
Love love love south pointe park. It's free and pet friendly. The view is gorgeous!! The beach is a few steps away and the pier is fantastic. You can walk into smith and wollensky or Monty's for a quick meal or drink. There are shaded green areas and concrete seats. Parking is a bit tough. But this is Miami Beach. What do you expect?
google avatar

Evan G.

Yelp
South Pointe Park in Miami Beach is a cool park to be able to get beautiful views of the water and enjoy everything. The park is well maintained and it is good to get some fresh air. There is plenty of space to move around. Good place to go for a walk and see everything.
google avatar

Jon C.

Yelp
I've been here many times but this is the first time I've written a review. I love this place, and it seems like the secret is out. I used to come here years ago and it used to be fairly empty. This time it was a bit more crowded than before but really not too much. It is still very enjoyable for a date, family, alone time, or to walk your dog. Lots of walking areas, good views of the sunset, a pier, kids play area and more. There is places to picking, to lounge and to walk or play. It's a really great spot! This is my favorite part of South beach! Oh and the beach is right there too!

Yelp
Best beach in Miami. Period And when I am saying best beach, it means I had been to almost every popular beach in and around Miami (including key west) like Lummus / Haulover/ Hollywood/Key Biscayne/ Fort Lauderdale Beach/ south beach Beach is really beautiful. Wide shore... White sand... Calm and peace... Soothing waves... less crowd- scenic beauty... Water is clear and looks greenish under sunlight making it desirable .. asking you to come, have fun in the water... Shower facility is there at the beach and its clean... You can walk down 100 feet inside and still you are in waist deep water. In the background, cruises are sailing and making it more postcard like the picture. There is south point park. Coconut trees are there, playing areas for kids. Shower and changing room for beachgoers. Greenish garden slope. Park itself is a good attraction. Besides it passage is there for joggers/ bikers. Parking- be careful. You can park at park's Parking Unfortunately, our care is towed and they took $287 for it. Never mind, it's Miami ;)

Yelp
Visited South Pointe Park last week during my business trip to Florida. Absolutely great area for any tourist and visitors! I wasn't sure what to expect but this place exceeded my expectations. Public parking lot which charges $3/hour. The panoramic views of the water, city skyline and beach are stunning. Being from California, we don't have nice clear water out in our beaches so this was definitely a sight to see. If you continue walking to the left, you will get to the beach. I thought 1 hour was going to be enough but we ended up just taking our time strolling and hanging out on the pier just overlooking the water and scenery for almost 2 hours!

Yelp
Really clean and in a busy nightlife area. Parking was really convenient. All you have to do is download the Parking app and pay through there ! Water was nice and warm, just a lot of kelp. The beach itself isn't as busy compared to the nightlife next to it surprisingly. Would def come again !

Yelp
I love this part of Miami beach, it is more chill and located at the end point whereby you can watch the cruise ships glide by. They have a great pier here too to walk on a pretty paved pathway.

Yelp
Wow is an understatement. So this is the southern eastern most tip in the United States in Miami Beach and tbh I would consider it a must do bucket list as it is one of America's greatest gem. The color of the water is superbly crystal clear turquoise. I noticed that it gets a little more windy and cooler here which is another reason I'd go here every so often to cool off from the humidity. Very peaceful and well maintained. I would consider it the nicest part of the entire Miami Beach area.

Yelp
Wonderful Park For walking, bike riding, the beach and even the dog park. Lots of pretty places to sit, people watch and enjoy. Municipal parking lot that's reasonably priced for Miami Beach.

Yelp
This park is at the bottom of Miami Beach. It is a long rectangular park with a pier that juts out into the water. There is some nice variety to this park as it has a playground for the kids at one end, a straight path to walk/run, and a pier at the other end. You can fish off the end of the pier, which also offers some good looks of Miami beach and the water.

Yelp
If you grew up in Miami, you know the South Pointe Pier and Park. It was the place you'd go senior skip day - not that I might have engaged in such behavior - to jump from the rocks and dive into the inlet...to walk along the old wooden planks to fish or make out or something of that sort. Well like most of Miami it's grown up and been gentrified. The structural frame of the pier has been rebuilt, and there's actually a security officer that walks around at dusk to shut down the gate. But in and between, you can go out there to take a selfie with Fisher Island in the background, or just take in the zen of crashing waves. (The rock jetty is still there, and shh but you can still sneak a dive ;) Bordered by a high end steakhouse, and with reduced parking (hence only 4 stars), the rest of the park is also cleaned up. There's a kiddie play area, as well as a nice infill mound that you can get some good cardio walking it. Besides the metal sign to the pier, there are a few modern-looking light posts. The park is dog friendly, and there's also a kiosk selling beach staples. You still have a great view of the sunrise, Fisher Island and the inlet. Full moon (and the occasional thunderstorms off the bay) look great too!
