Where to Watch Super Bowl in Miami

"Locals know to head to this South of Fifth staple for cocktails and above-average bar bites. There’s a dish for everyone here, from traditional game fare like chicken wings and nachos to lighter options like the veggie wrap and Buddha bowl. In addition to the usual 10 TVs, on game day it’ll feature three additional 90 inch HD video monitors and extra tables inside and outside to make sure no one misses a play. Team-themed cocktails and food specials will be served, alongside free popcorn." - Alona Martinez

This place had a real intimate feel. Outdoor seating where you can smoke and bring pets and the inside had beautiful decor with dim lighting. Service was amazing we were greeted with ice water and ordered a couple gin and tonics a Bloody Mary and an amazing dirty martini 🍸

This is a beautiful location on South Beach, unfortunately that is it's only redeeming quality. The tuna was way over cooked and extremely dry. We asked for the salad dressing on the side, but the salad came heavily dressed with dressing on the side. Our little blonde waitress was in a hurry to take our order but seemed to deliberately ignore us after I raised my hand she would look away, as she walked by I would call out to her loud enough people several tables away could hear me but she would just walk by and the patrons at the other table would shake their heads. At the time of our order we asked if several dishes were gluten free but she never came back with an answer!

Google
Found this gem walking around South Pointe Beach and it was delicious. We had the grilled steak sandwich and it was simply a delight. The caramelized onions truly sent it over! We also had the nachos with carnitas and they were absolutely sinful! Will definitely be back! Our server was wonderful as well.

Google
Best guac ever!!!! South Pointe Tavern, located in Miami Beach's South of Fifth neighborhood, is a local spot known for its inviting atmosphere. The menu is segmented into "Pirate & Boozy," "Shaken & Refreshing," and "Highballs & Tropical," ensuring there's something for every palate. The food menu features popular items like the Cuban sandwich, praised for its flavor and quality. Patrons appreciate the homely atmosphere, making it an ideal place to unwind. The gracious staff further enhances the experience, contributing to the tavern's reputation as the "Cheers of South of Fifth." For a dependable spot with chill vibes, solid cocktails, and delicious food, South Pointe Tavern stands out as a top choice in Miami Beach.

Google
Let's get through the quick and obvious stuff first--the food is delicious and they don't skimp on flavor or portions. It's a menu that's got a wide range of options and is what you'd expect from a neighborhood spot...but just executed really well. I also use the term "neighborhood spot" lightly, as you are steps from the pristine beaches that Miami, and more specifically Miami Beach is known for. Locals frequent this place and for good reason. Find me a better location for a tavern anywhere in the country.... THAT ALL BEING SAID, the real attraction of this place is the staff and service they provide. Attentive, friendly, and exactly what you want from bartenders and servers. They are rockstars in every sense of the word and while you may only visit once, you'll leave feeling like you've known them for years. Lastly, ask for Sofia and have her make you a spicy Paloma--it was dynamite. Alissa brings the heat behind the bar as well. Both will have you coming back for a second, third, and fourth visit. 6/5 stars.

Google
2nd time now. First, pastrami sandwich. Huge, and delicious. Today, prawns. Not enough perhaps but the sauce was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Great service too and a decent choice of (weak) beers.

Google
This place is awesome. Great food! 🥘 i Definitely recommend stopping at this place to share a quick bite. The charcuterie board here is at another level, good cheese and jams and hams. Quality at its best. We had a couple drinks as well , that were good, margarita could have been better but it was still ok. The server was nice. Ambiance is cute , vibrant and the atmosphere invites you to talk and have a nice evening with friends. I definitely recommend this one

Google
The breakfast options are very limited but the food was pretty good. The tipping culture is out of control. An options to leave a 30% tip? What world do you live in?

Yelp
While at the beach, I did a quick Yelp search and found this spot a short walk away. We were quickly seated and drink orders taken. They have a very good selection of cocktails and beers. We selected to patio area with the breeze and the large fans cooling the area. Once we placed our food orders, it didn't take long for the delicious food to arrive. I had the Buddha Bowl without any protein and the meal was fresh and very favorable. I have added this location to my list to return in the future and to try in the evenings for a beer. Make sure you stop by and give them a try. Enjoy!

Yelp
We went for a walk with some friends who live South of Fifth last week and stopped in here for lunch. I loved the decor inside! Very comfortable and welcoming. It felt like a neighborhood joint. We sat at the bar and the bartender / server knew our friends, which added to the "locals" appeal. Larry S. and I shared a fish sandwich with a side salad. I thought the food was decent - not anything mind blowing, but it was a solid sandwich! Our friends had something that they made more complicated that it needed to be with custom adjustments, and the staff had no problem delivering, so A+ there. In all, it was a nice stop. I'd definitely pass by for dinner or drinks on another occasion.

Yelp
Great for breakfast close to South Pointe park for a morning or evening walk. Great whisky selection if you develop a thirst for:-)

Yelp
Great service and ambiance. Recommend checking out especially as a late night option.

Yelp
Service was mediocre bartender did not know what salsa was lol we ordered chips and guacamole and I asked for a side of salsa; sorry no salsa but if you order nachos you can get salsa. Drinks were good but way over priced. Serving size of food was laughable how tiny in was. Would never come here again. Ambiance was the best part

Yelp
One of my favorite places to go in miami to watch sports, laid back heaven, especially in south beach. Good service, good food. 5 stars.

Yelp
Great place to grab cocktails and walk to the pier. Very casual place, bartenders were nice and knowledgeable.

Yelp
Solid place, with local beers and quality tavern food. Located in South Pointe area in SoBe and worth the visit.
google avatar

Yelp
Good food. Great atmosphere. It was nice to sit at the bar and enjoy fish tacos and a glass of wine. My husband had a delicious burger and a beer. I do recommend this place. The service was good as well.

Yelp
I love the ambiance of this place. I come here to eat good American comfort food of all types. Their iced coffee is also 10/10. I also love the bar inside when it comes to just disconnecting and having a nice drink catching up with friends. I love that it's right next to the beach as well for a nice walk after the bar.

Yelp
Loved stopping by this unassuming gem for a quick drink and some snacks! I was pleasantly surprised that not only were the prices reasonable for being next door to the fancy Continuum building, but everything was excellent! Cocktails were strong and tasty. The bar bites were well portioned and delicious. a highly recc the nachos. Seriously, this is a fab spot for a post beach hang, a casual happy hour, or an after workout pick me up! Check it out - you won't regret it!

Yelp
Nice chill spot next to the beach and good food, great service and clean area. Will come back.

Yelp
The food was so delicious everything was so good service was great. Nice place to chill for a date
google avatar

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
The food was excellent. Fish soup was outstanding. Tacos, Burger were delicious. Service was wonderful. Price was reasonable by South beach standards, except for the $10 iced tea. A real find for this area of overpriced everything. Correction....iced tea was not $10 only $5. Sorry!
google avatar

Yelp
Local bar atmosphere in the least expected area. Good food and drinks in the south of 5th - South Point area

Mark M.

Yelp
Antonella and Nani are the best. Great service, good food, and a casual vibe. Just remember to get your red wine room temperature.
google avatar

Jalani M.

Yelp
So-so! I'd say they are big on charging tourist for everything. I asked for regular water they bring out bottle water. The bread was soggy and they charged for another bun for the burger. Then the waitress told us to tip because they do not add it. I'm like I thought the pastrami and burger were tasty on the menu. If you sit out front you'll hear a ton of cars honking at each other. It seems that parking is an issue in this area. But it was nice to walk close to south pointe park to watch the sunset right after.
google avatar

Yelp
I had a "meh, fine" salad at South Pointe. I had the salad with rice and quinoa, sautéed onions and mushrooms, and spinach. The dressing was gluey and too sweet. The service was very attentive (I was there early and it was empty). This place is more a grab drinks and bar bites with friends and not so much a great food place.
google avatar

Yelp
Over a couple of days in Miami stopped at South Pointe Tavern twice for drinks and a bite. Great spot near the piers with a different vibe than most of the bars and restaurants in the area. The menu has many different items that didn't all seem to go together but that allowed for a variety of options. The drinks were on the average side, but the staff and food definitely were outstanding. The nachos and pastrami sandwich were exceptional, and we had both of those items both times we stopped in. Definitely worth a stop in, and a bonus, if you sit on the porch, you can enjoy the hilarity of watching people parallel park.
google avatar

Zaneta R.

Yelp
I'm giving this place a 3 star because the drinks were just okay! The atmosphere is really nice and the waitresses were sociable and had great recommendations. I would come back but I would not get margaritas! They sold a lot of wines and whiskey beverages ! According to the whiskey selections they had over 200 whiskeys and over 70 plus tequilas! The bar was located in walking distance from the pier!

Jazzy C.

Yelp
Drinks are amazing The wings are hands down some of the best wings I've had. This is a spot I'd come back to.
google avatar

Kiyoko S.

Yelp
We enjoyed happy hour here- the cocktails were very good, I had Miami State of Mind(watermelon and tequila) and red sangria. I don't like sugar in my drinks - they made a good skinny cocktails. Happy hour- cocktails 30% off. Absolutely coming back again. Cute decorations inside with a elegant taste. Pretzel was the best we ever had in Miami!

D N.

Yelp
For the price of the food its not that great. Nachos were all cheese and the wings had a soggy side to them. Other than the food the staff and service of them were great. The restaurants vibe was there you could say, music and lights were nice. Overall this is just another gentrified restaurant that would only taste good if you had some drinks in your system.

Yelp
Came here to dine solo with my pooch on a Sunday evening and it was such a great experience. I sat outside and was able to choose where to sit with my dog, loved the fact that they had dog bowls of water and actually refilled it for my dog and gave her a treat! The hostess and waitress (didn't get her name) were both great and were seemingly attentive without it being too much. Had a great Passionfruit Mojito, ordered an appetizer of the jumbo pretzel and a pesto caprese chicken sandwich. Sandwich was delicious on rosemary ciabatta and even the tomato, mozzarella cheese and spinach tasted fresh. No need for a side of fries, this sandwich filled me up. I was there for almost 2 hours and I honestly could've stayed there longer if I was able to- it was just a really nice Sunday evening outside and I was super satisfied. The location of the restaurant is great and I loved how I was able to take a walk through the park with my dog afterwards. Will definitely be coming back here soon for another dinner meal, and perhaps with friends next time

Yelp
Cool spot down on south pointe. Never knew this was here. Got some bites, all of it was delicious. The wings were very good, cant wait to go back and try some more bites.
google avatar

Yelp
One of very few chill spots that serve food in SoFi. They have happy hour specials daily. Drinks a decent. Food is okay - a bit hit or miss. You can't go wrong with the quesadilla though. And the meat or cheese board is good. Just be aware that if you order a meat AND cheese board they basically charge you double what the meat or cheeseboard is. That caught us by surprise once since we had ordered before and they gave us a smaller version that was $18. Could just be the way we asked for it. I'll know to be more specific next time. All in all, this is a great local spot with chill vibes and good service.
google avatar

Alex G.

Yelp
Great place for an early weekend breakfast or brunch. The food is well prepared and flavorful. The cocktails are unique and tasty, and the variety of whiskeys and tequilas is extensive. The only drawback, and for me it's a big drawback, is the lack of parking. There's no valet, and public parking is very limited. If you don't arrive early in the morning, you'll spend more time looking for a spot for your car than a nice spot for your appetite.
google avatar

Yelp
This little sports bar with a country music vibe was a welcome surprise away from the usual Ocean Drive hustle. It's tucked away closer to the pier, and i like the fact it's dog friendly. That's why I had a hard time rating it only 3 stars. However, a couple of issues do stand out. We were lucky enough to get street parking almost by the entrance, and not have to pay valet or worse. My choisin ribs themselves were really tasty. There was a decent ratio of meat to bone, and the brown sugar sauce was perfectly tasty. But there was no side. Almost every sports bar I've been to has fries or nachos or something. There was no fries to be had, whether complimentary as part of the dish or for sale. That was a first time. Also, I only recall our waitress stopping by like twice. You don't have to be there all the time, but maybe a dish recommendation? The bar did look nicely stocked; perhaps if next time we come just drinks this review might be higher. But I also expected a little better on the food only side.

Ruban P.

Yelp
Took a hour to get our food. I asked for no onions and got them anyways. When I said I was allergic to onions they just took them off my burger and brought it back in lee then a minute. Im from California and got treated like a nobody. Still waiting for my burger.

I K.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, excellent service. Value for food in terms of portion size and quality is good for South Beach. Caprese sandwich with prosciutto was great. Gf got the Cobb salad which was also good.

Cristina C.

Yelp
Wine and margaritas were very good, food quality was not great, I would try it a second time tho
google avatar

Colin V.

Yelp
You pretty much get ignored and if you just come for drinks at least 15 min from ordering to receiving. Can't comment on the food but vibes are pretty bad
google avatar

Mark D.

Yelp
The deli meat prep is straight out of New York City: Pastrami is top notch! Loved every bite! Great "Taste of Miami" cocktail! Friendly service and attentive to the details. Wife had a wonderful desert a la mode. Fun place near the end of South Beach.

Yelp
Bourbon you cant find in most places, at small town prices. They have a large selection of hard to find bourbon that I was able to check off the list. The staff cared about what they had, and truly works hard to make sure you are having an excellent experience. And yes, they noticed I was like a kid in the candy store and brought bottles out to let me take pictures. They have made my xmas 2020 mot suck as bad, and maybe If I behave, they can open one in Houston next year ;) please Santa, come through!
google avatar

Francisco V.

Yelp
I was expecting more out of this. The atmosphere was quite nice, and I enjoyed the outside seating. I can't speak for the quality of the drinks, but I was unimpressed by the food. The ribs and the sauce were ok at best, however only one of the four ribs was served hot - two were lukewarm and one of them was downright cold. I has a friend try the cornbread and she mentioned it tasted like it was burnt. Place gets stars mainly due to appearances, but I probably wouldn't give it another shot.

Rachel S.

Yelp
The staff doesn't speak any english, misheard our tables orders. I asked for a ICED green tea. She brought me a cup of ice water and a tea bag. I was appalled. Could not imagine service so slow as well as bad . I don't think i would give it another try

Yelp
10/20/2018- We were meeting a group at the Southpointe Park and this was conveniently located near by right before the entrance. Loved the ambience here. It's a mix of Key West laid back vibe (there's a stencil of Hemingway on one of the windows) with a mix of South Beach chic. There are some tables and couches outside, as well as inside. The bar has a huge selection of spirits including whiskey and tequila. Wood adorns the walls along with plenty of cool, hip art, books and even guitars. There are TV in the main dining area and at the bar. The menu is a bit small but we liked everything on there. We ordered the Salmon Salad, spinach, quinoa, hearts of palm, avocado, cherry tomato and a lemon vinaigrette ($14), and the Turkey BLT, bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado, bell pepper and mozzarella ($14). Everything came out fresh and hot. The Turkey BLT comes with a bag of potato chips and a pickle. We were so surprised by the amount of food we received for the price, especially in Miami. Our server, Charlene, was wonderful, very attentive. We came in at night after our event. This time we sat at the bar. We ordered two draft beers, guacamole and the Chicken Quesadillas. This is where I take off a star. The Guacamole was very watery. It had too much tomato which made it very runny. The quesadillas were cold. Service was very good, but this time the food was not.
google avatar

Kimberly K.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and even better cocktails. South Beach is trash when it comes to cocktails on Ocean Drive, so I like to walk to the pier and then to the Tavern for an Oasis.

Yelp
Don't. Just DONT. I'd rather have bamboo shoots pierced through my fingernails. Absolutely the worst service I've ever had. It was embarrassing how bad it was. I was in a party of 4 with 3 dogs. The fucking dogs got better service than we did. Let me preface this review by saying the restaurant was DEAD--not busy at all and they were fully staffed!! We sat outside on the patio and it took about 10 minutes just to get water, then the waiter walked away without taking our drink order. I'm not convinced we were even assigned a waiter because about 6 different people visited our table while there-- all of which we had to either FLAG down or get up from our table and go inside, interrupt their conversation and tell them to do their fucking job. We were there for over 2 hours. No one made sure we got drink refills, it took over an hour to get our food order placed AND THEY DIDNT EVEN PLACE THE ORDER CORRECTLY. One person's entree order was never sent to the kitchen so we all ate in front of her. But they made sure to bring the dogs treats. Who the fuck cares about dog treats when you can't even feed the HUMAN? So fucking embarrassing for this business. Literally the dogs got better water and food service than the people. Waiters, hostesses and food runners all visited our table and would basically drop whatever we had to flag them down for and disappear for another 20 minutes. Our food was simple and yet somehow took an hour and a half to get to us!The food we did get was piss poor quality and the service was equivalent to torture. The only reason this business made any money was because my friend picked up the tab. I would've NEVER accepted treatment like this, I would've NEVER given them a single cent for the shit ass experience I had. The employees were preoccupied with socializing amongst themselves or doing god knows what but not their GD JOBS! Fuck this place. Shut it down. Burn it down. Everyone in my party left furious and shit talked this place the entire rest of the day. Whoever owns and operates this business should be ashamed.

Yash M.

Yelp
Been coming here a lot, usually have a great time. The manager is completely lacking any type of hospitality or customer service. We were asked to stop playing shuffle board and when asked if we could finish our game before moving the answer was "no, i've been here since 9am." Absolutely crazy that was the answer. No apology or anything. Just "its a monday, i've been here since 9am and i want to go home" When I went back to confront him after closing out the bill to see if he would apologize for the way it was handled, still nothing. Icing on the cake- We were charged for a glass of wine that had a fly in it. Don't think i will be giving them my business any time soon.

Lily V.

Yelp
Cuban sandwich and mahi were amazing along with the burrata salad with fig dressing. Best Cuban I have had!

Yelp
We stopped here after a long day of pool, then beach, then walking the pier area... hubby got a Cobb salad and it was fine right- he ate every bite & it was delicious. I had 3 of their $5 dollar tacos, a beef, a carnitas(pork) and a shrimp one) they were delicious. I then ordered another beef and carnitas to share with hubby! Great Malbec wine... smooth n delicious. Hubby had cranberry Vodka. What a chill spot and a great vibe! Will return.

Yelp
Great food. Friendly staff. Covid safe. We come here often for breakfast lunch and dinner and are never disappointed.

Rihab M.

Yelp
I went to this restaurant on a Sunday at 11pm because I did not have many options at that time. I have never heard about it ans to my surprise, it was EXCELLENT. Pretty busy for a Sunday night but then again it is Miami. I ordered a salad that the waitress recommended and it was VERY GOOD (chicken breast, blue cheese...) I do not remember the name. My friend got a burger that was very good as well. The service isn't the fastest and our waitress, even if she hasn't done anything wrong, just gave the impression that she did not wanna work there at all. No smiles no nothing! The prices are Correct and actually good for what you are getting. I def recommend
google avatar

Joe V.

Yelp
Great place to go have a libation and watch a sporting event. Very unique vibe / non pub feel , but more like an upscale modern friend's house. Friendly servers and wait staff. The nachos were great and flavorful. I hope the restaurant will read this review, because our burgers were excessively salted, which was unfortunate. I ordered crispy bacon and it didn't happen. Brownie a la mode was small and $10(only dessert). Menu is small / limited / but this is a cool gathering place that is non-touristy. We'll be back for sure to try something different.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing staff, food, and music! Prices are reasonable and cocktails are fire. Come here to get away from the mess north of fifth! Highly recommend

Yelp
I haven't eaten here but I'm a whiskey devotee, so this is a rare treat in Miami. A few years ago there was a great place up the street called Commonwealth, which sadly closed because Miami's more of a vodka and Red Bull town, but I hope these guys do well! South Pointe's vibe is very Miami beach: a mix of casual and upscale, with lanterns on the bar and an elegant, hipster-who-makes-a-good-living vibe. It's attractive, without a doubt. I visited for happy hour, which is 50% off beer and wine and one whiskey (at the time, it was Jim Beam Pre-Prohibition Rye, although that may have changed). It has a respectable selection of the brown liquors, with a full shelf for bourbons and ryes, and then another shelf solely of single malt scotch. Check out Taurus in the Grove if you want more of a dive vibe but with a comparable whiskey selection.
google avatar

Yesy C.

Yelp
If you happen to be in the neighborhood looking for a place with outdoor seating, to have a beer or a glass of wine and are not in a hurry, then this is an option (not THE option). Service was extremely slow and food was less than mediocre. Can't go wrong with beer or wine.

Yelp
Popped into South Pointe Tavern towards the end of happy hour on Friday evening. Ordered the Miami State of Mind cocktail and also tried a few sips of the Lav In The Air cocktail. Quality Since we were in the area, decided to check out South Pointe Tavern. Both my girlfriend and I decided to order a speciality cocktail. I went with the Miami State Of Mind, which I absolutely loved. Made with silver tequila, fresh pressed watermelon, cilantro, jalapeno, fresh lime, agave, and cracked black pepper, it was excellent. With so many bold flavors and tastes, they somehow managed to craft a fabulous cocktail without it falling in the wrong direction. The fruit flavors shined, and the drink perfectly combined sweetness and heat. My girlfriend ordered Lav In The Air, which I immediately knew I would not like. With gin, lavender, basil, pimms blackberry and elderflower, and lemon soda, to me it tasted like a fruity air freshener. I just don't understand lavender in drinks, but my girlfriend seemed to enjoy it. Regardless of that, the Miami State Of Mind is something I could easily sip on all day. Quantity The bar is unique as I would not exactly classify it as a cocktail bar, but they clearly put a lot of effort into each drink. Both of our selections were a good size and had solid pours of liquor, but to a degree where it was present yet not overwhelming in the drink. Value All of the signature cocktails they had on the drinks menu were $13. During happy hour, which runs from 5-7pm on weekdays, those drinks are half off. It is a solid deal. Ambiance South Pointe Tavern is located in the SOFI area, near the very bottom of Miami Beach. Found on the corner of a massive apartment and business complex, South Pointe Tavern has a small outdoor patio area and then a small inside bar. The patio area has several chairs and tables spread along a covered walkway. When we arrived it was almost exclusively taken up by smokers, so it was not very appealing. Inside the first thing you see is the absolutely gorgeous wrap around bar. Styled with wood and enhanced with hanging racks of glasses, it is very cool, especially as the lights dim and it almost seems to glow. There are about twelve stools around the bar, then a few high tops along the window. The inside area has a few televisions set up, but for whatever reason they were all playing Miami Beach tourist videos during our visit. In the background they had a mix of alternative rock and hard rock music playing. Crowd The bar was very busy when we arrived and we took the last two seats at the bar. The place was full of what seemed to be locals and regulars. The bartender seemed to know every single person who walked in and the patrons seemed to know each other too. It was mostly a middle-aged crowd and many people looked like they had been hanging out at the bar for a while already. Service I thought the bartender was wonderful. She was very talkative, friendly with everyone who walked in the door, and mixed up drinks expertly. Parking Some limited street parking can be found in the area, but expect to fight with tourists visiting the beach or South Pointe Park. A little north is a public lot, which is probably the best option. Extra I did not spend a lot of time at South Pointe Tavern, but I enjoyed my limited visit. The bar is beautiful, the bartender was great, and my drink was awesome. Throw in solid happy hour deals and it is a place worth visiting. I am definitely interested to come back and try out some of the food and possibly brunch.

Yelp
This place was just ok, service wasn't the quite best. The food was alright. The location is great. But that is the only thing that was perfect.
