The regular-size cherry pie looks beautiful, but the pastry is very thick—see below. It looks like the lower pastry had a single swipe of cherry filling. This could have been more aptly named, “a crust with some cherry .”

Update 8/25: I feel very confident in my ability to recommend this place. I've now had the chicken pot pie, pecan pie, blueberry pie, mixed berry pie, and the cinnamon rolls. All are excellent! Key Lime is next... I experienced this for the first time at the farmer's market the other week. One bite of the peach pie was all it took. It's delicious! I really enjoyed the chocolate chess pie too. Those two are my favorites. We tried the birthday cake and buttermilk slices too. I wish I could get a slice of blackberry! I'll definitely be a returning customer whenever I need pie. I love the look and atmosphere of the store too. Stop by if you ever need pie!

Customer service was excellent in store and over the phone. They went above and beyond to make sure that every thing was perfect. I ordered two pies, Chicken pot pie and apple pie. Both were great! The crust is amazing! Love it!

If you’re looking for sweet and savory pies with a light and flaky crust, this is a great little place!! Got two of the one person size savory pies, and they were both well seasoned and a great snack/meal.

Went here today! The ladies working were extremely helpful they offered samples and suggestive sold me on some personal pies till I was broke lol! The taste is so good the presentation on everything was great and just the customer service alone made the experience the best! We got pecan blueberry and key lime I can't wait to enjoy them with my family! Thank you

Was driving by when we saw Southern baked pie and thought why not. Best stop of the trip, had a couple slices for a late breakfast and was the best choice. Best pecan pie we've ever had and the lemon chess was amazing

I love this place! It smells amazing as soon as you enter the store. I had the key lime and pecan pie as well as the chicken ranchero pot pie and all were amazing. The staff was awesome and helpful as well. Will definitely be back, thank you!

Individual chicken pot pies, very dry. If there had more filling and not so dry on the inside the crust would have been ok.

A pleasant aroma of fresh pie crust greets you as you open the door. This small pie shop located in the heart of Vinings is a hidden gem if you're looking for a bite of something sweet. We stopped by on our way to Atlanta from out of town and were pleasantly surprised. This cute bakery has a wide variety of pie flavors from Chocolate Fudge or the seasonal Lemon Ice Box-- both in full size and mini. They also have meat pies and a few other pastries. Service was nothing special, but the cashier was friendly. We were offered a pie sample for their seasonal flavor; however, I decided to get the chocolate fudge mini pie. The texture, flavor, and crust were divine. The crust tasted flaky and homemade. The consistency of the pie base was perfect. It was absolutely delicious. We will be back and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Friendly service. Super cute inside. Only grab and go. They gave samples of their featured item of the month, which was nice. We got the peach cobbler. Wasn't bad but overall it lacked proper sweetness and flavor for a "southern baked" pie but the crust was nice, flaky and buttery.

These pies are so good, I drive to two different locations (an hour apart) just for a pie. The crust is delicious and buttery, but not too thick. They have great, classic flavors and I haven't had a pie yet that has missed the mark. My favorite has been the sweet potato (seasonal), followed closely by the pumpkin. I am a new fan of the coconut cream - not too sweet and the coconut is balanced. The customer service is always helpful and professional. The stores are always clean and bright. I wish they would expand outside of GA.

I absolutely loved this place! Nestled in the vinnings area, you felt the immediate ambiance of a true southern pie shop! The people there were friendly and quick. My favorite was the pot roast pie!

My Dad made apple pies my whole life before he died and I never had an apple pie that ever matched his.... Today that changed. Southern baked pie company has the best apple crumble Carmel pie I have ever had. It is worth the trip

I ordered the chicken pot pie for Christmas dinner and it was delicious. This is the only chicken pot pie that I'll eat. The filling is flavorful and the chicken is very tender and tasty. However, my favorite part of the pie is the buttery, flaky crust. I could eat the crust by itself. Yum!!!

This place is poorly managed. Employees had to call a manager before they were authorized to cut the pies. Once the manager showed up she put her dirty car keys on the same table on which the pies were finally able to be cut. This may have been a bad day for the manager, but her tone came off as condescending when explaining the sale stipulations. The pie was good, but this seems like a heavily micromanaged shop. I definitely don't recommend.

Oh Lordy, these pies, y'all. I first tasted some of their buttermilk and some of their tomato pie at the Taste of Buckhead event with a friend in the fall of 2022. We went back for SECONDS for that tomato pie, it was an incredible umami bomb with that delectable streusel-like topping I can never get enough of! You know I held onto their business card (with a coupon printed on the back)! A month or so later, I took my twin 3-year-olds into their Vinings shop location to try and get myself some more of that tomato pie BUT we left with so much more! We were 100% surprised to find out that the shop was celebrating a secret pie day and was giving away slices, while supplies last! (Had I died and gone to heaven? Would my children slip into sugar crash comas? Who cares, we're doing this thing!) My kids picked chocolate (duh), I picked buttermilk, and we sat and ate them at the bar while my mini-sized tomato pie was prepared for me to take home later. It gets better. See, when the lady behind the counter is filled with Southern hospitality (and has an apparent soft spot for cute little twin girls), you get BONUS free slices of pie. Yes, it was supposed to be a little hush-hush, but we also visited near the end of the afternoon, and of course they didn't want to end up with leftover free pie, right? The kind-kind lady set my daugthers up with another slice to share when they got home, and she generously gave us a slice to share with Daddy, too. The icing on the cake (or rather, the vanilla ice cream on the pie) was that the lady also gave the each of my girls a word search sheet to complete at home with the promise of a free slice of pie when they finish and bring it back! By the way, I'm very pleased to soon be ordering an apple pie for my dad's birthday present, and when my sister-in-law comes to town, I plan to order a gluten-free quiche. I know that will be a great surprise for her. I get serious uppity vibes when I visit Vinings Jubilee, and sure the interior is a gorgeous, spotless dream kitchen, but the people *and the food* here are nothing but comfort. 100% welcoming. (My eyes are seriously misting as I write this.) Logistics: No bathroom available. This isn't really a sit-down place - there is a bar with 4 stools by the window. Parking is shared with the neighboring shops. Be aware of the Thursday farmer's market when in season. I love supporting small businesses. I love nurturing our relationship with the great food of the South. I frikkin love this pie. Go to Southern Baked Pie Company and be blessed.

I got a handheld apple pie (fridays it's on sale for $3) and it was super good! Cute place, smells amazing, friendly staff!

Had to take some pies back home tomorrow and I arrived just in time for the chicken pot pie. OMG it is so Devine -never had one that Waac so tasty!! That crust ... yummy!! Buttery, creamy inside and oh! You have to stop in a try it out. Taking pies all the way back to Hawaii!

I'm visiting from California to see my boyfriend in Atlanta. Every time I'm in the area, this little pie shop catches my eye. I'm always more of a pie girl than a cake girl, so I made it a point to visit this time. My boyfriend and I walked in and were instantly greeted by the kind employee up front. She provided us samples of their pie of the month, the Georgia Peach pie. Right off the bat I was hooked from the sample. I was worried at when we went about an hour before closing, that their was not enough pies for my boyfriend and I to chose from. But thankfully there was some that we fell in love with. The employee had also helped us chose a pie, and let us know that majority of the pies are made with locally sourced ingredients. I love supporting local business, so that was awesome to hear. We brought home the mini pies (Georgia Peach and Apple) and a slice of pie (Chocolate Chess). My boyfriend and I haven't dug into the fruity pies yet, but I had the Chocolate Chess and my gosh, I want a whole pie! It's not too sweet and decadent in chocolate taste. In store, the employee let me know that they make their chocolate pies with Ghirardelli chocolate, which I love. All in all, this cute spot is perfect to grab a pie. They also sell adorable merchandise, take and bake pies, candles, and other lovely kitchen goods. I would personally battle all the road traffic this shopping center gets to get another slice of pie. When I'm visiting again from California, this spot is on the top of my list.

I stopped in yesterday and when I walked in the greeting wasn't welcoming at all! although I have been to this particular shop on another occasion and the welcoming was lovely . Yesterday I even tried small take with the young lady and she still wasn't pleasant . I feel like as long as the color of money is green and I love the product it should be a win win but sometimes it really simply doesn't matter people are just who they are . I do however love the buckhead location they are super sweet and I now think I will just do business there where they are just dandy with me coming in to purchase my favorites . I guess sometimes the south is just the south ! I'm an LA woman so I love everybody and I'm very cheerful but not all people are the same clearly . So to the cute young lady with the blond ponytail I will not be back to that location because you did not hide the fact that you were not okay with helping me ‍ but my pie was delicious as always . Kindness go a very long ways sweetie .

Terrible hospitality from the manager. Lectured us about discounted pies when I was asking a question about what qualified. Can't stand when people micromanage their business, she wouldn't let the employees cut the pies unless she was present. Seems like a poor business plan for a pie shop. Won't be back.

I've been here a million times because I just can't get enough! They were my first introduction to my new addiction - tomato pie, make the only pecan pie I've ever enjoyed, and I will stand in line if necessary to get the Oct special "turtle pie"-for which there is no comparison or substitute. Their pie crust is really different - tastes a little like a shortbread cookie - and I really enjoy it. My only 'knock' is that they aren't open on sundays so I can really only visit one day a week - which is probably good for my waistline

They deliver to our office nearby all the time, and the nurses and other staff recommended I check them out personally. I got the chance to do so. Their pies are absolutely superb! The pecan pie is my favorite, and I simply must try the other. This is a pie shop of the most upscale and well-executed type. They are fancy, y'all. Real fancy, and they are real, real good. They have coconut custard, chocolate chess pie, buttermilk pie, etc. Check them out. Bravo, and thanks for bringing to sweetness periodically to our medical office nearby in Vinings Jubilee. It's my pleasure to support.

The best pie! And the most friendly and kind staff members too. Love the pecan and buttermilk pies and the roast beef pie is great for dinner with gravy. I had just moved here from out of state and this was one of the first places I visited. I came with my parents while they were still in town (helping me move) and every time I've come back since, the staff here remember my name and ask about my parents. It's a small thing, but it has helped me feel a sense of community in a new city.

It was my first visit to the shop and it won't be my last. The staff was very welcoming. One of the customers, a regular, said as she was leaving, that the pies are addictive. I might agree. I got the salted Dutch apple pie for myself and my daughter and a piece of the sweet potato pie for my hubby. Absolutely yummy.

Ordered 2 pies for Thanksgiving (delivered frozen then we reheated according to instructions included with the pies). Both were incredible! The pecan pie was by far the crowd favorite but the apple was also amazing. Will be ordering pies from here again.

Expensive and honestly not worth it. I ordered the savory chicken pot pie and sweet pecan pie. Pecan pie was delicious and fresh but chicken Pot Pie was just a bland frozen pie. I was hoping for something to knock my socks off, but it just wasn't... Especially for the price.

My company hosted a socially distanced outdoor farmer's market for our employees in September. They ordered individual pies for everyone from Southern Baked Pie Company. When I found out they had ordered gluten-free pie for me I was thrilled. I took home a gluten-free pecan pie along with my produce. It was honestly the best gluten-free pie crust I have ever eaten! And, it was the first pecan pie I have had since I went gluten-free. So, I visited their location in my neighborhood. Beautiful decor and friendly staff! I plan to order my pies this year from Southern Baked Pie. They are amazing!

BLUF: If you order online have your receipt ready and if you order a Potpie have them verify that its the type you wanted. Luckily there was no cost difference, but since my wife hates pot roast we had to throw it out after taking pictures of course. My wife and I were so excited to order the pies, she loves Chicken Potpie and Pecan pie, so we ordered one 10 inch Pecan, a 10-inch Chicken Potpie, and a 5-inch Chicken Potpie. As a customer, I would like to know that the integrity of my order is maintained from initiation through delivery. We're gonna cut through the crust on the other pot pie to see what type it is. Hoping for Chicken Pot Pie.

What an adorable storefront in the Vinings area! One of my teammates at work is not much for chocolate sweets, so when her birthday came around we were at a loss for what to get her to celebrate. After she mentioned her love of apple pie, I did some research and was delighted to find Southern Baked Pie Co was just a few minutes from our office. I called a week in advance to place our order and the woman on the line was very nice and quickly took my information and got the order placed. When I stopped in to pick up the pie, she remembered me from our phone call and had me checked out and out the door in less than 5 minutes. The pie was a HUGE hit with our team - probably the best apple pie I've ever had. Multiple people on our team mentioned to me they sould be ordering pies for the holidays instead of baking them at home!! They do have some savory options too so make sure to check out their changing menu!

Great selection of traditional pies. I used Southern Baked Pies four or full wedding. Instead of traditional wedding cake we had a assortment of 7 pies. It went over tremendously. Everyone raved over the pies and loved the idea. When we are invited to an event or heading over to a dinner party we always stop by to grab a pie.

Southern Baked Pie Company brings their business to Vinings. As you would've guessed, they sell pies. What kinda of pies? A lot of different kinds from savory to sweet. The Vinings location is a small shop. It's decorated as a upper-class, Southern Home. They have frozen and fresh pies. However, they only offer fresh sweet pies. They do have frozen savory pies. The sweet pies are your typical, traditional pies like cherry, apple, etc. Their cherry pies are amazing. The pie is well crafted with amazing lattice work. I liked it so much I could've finished an entire For their savory pies, I've tried their chicken pot pie. And it's a legit pie. It was so comforting and delicious. I could've eaten the whole pie to myself, like the Cherry Pie. The pies are huge. You need a team to finish one pie. For the savory pies, I think 2 very-hungry adults can finish 1 savory pie. But if you don't want to be gluttonous, 3-4 people could probably eat one 1 pie. For the sweet pies, they sell mini sweet pies, if you want a whole pie to yourself. Or if you don't have many people to share the pie with. If you love pies like me, I suggest you try them out. They are a bit pricey. But their pies are so good, I think it's worth it.

You know, when it comes to Yelp and reviews they're pretty reliable. Sometimes however, it takes a personal experience at a place, and unfortunately for me, this company didn't meet the expectations I thought the Yelp reviews would provide. I wanted to show grace and give more than one star, because looking at the pies and the description of the menu from one of the employees working on the day made it believable. So, I decided to order a savory pie from the menu (sausage & onion) I was given and was told that the shop no longer made those. So then, I decided on the quiche Lorraine and then was told that it would have be serve chilled because the oven wasn't working, but it could be microwaved for me, but then right after was told that it would taste better if it were reheated in the oven. ‍ Let me add by saying, I don't live in the city (visiting from out of state) so, it just wasn't an ideal moment. I opted to get the buttermilk small pie since I was already there. I was preparing to pay and took out cash and was told that I needed exact change, my goodness... it was a $.55 difference ... who doesn't have 55 cents in their cash register?????? Thankfully I just so happened to have exact change. So in conclusion, I gave one star for the employee being nice, and another star for the esthetic and selection of the pies, they really did look delicious. Perhaps my rating will change next time I come to town, or I'll try the other location, hopefully their oven is working.

Delicious pies! We went in for a savory pie and a sweet pie and found ourselves there again 2 days later buying 2 more pies and a box full of hand pies. Best chicken pot pie we've ever head and the cherry and apple hand pies were off the charts.Great gifts for friends and loved ones. Beautiful storefront. Extremely sweet and warm staff.

This little shop has been such a great addition to downtown Vinings. I love it for traditional dessert pies but also their quiches. Haven't tried many of their savory pies but the pot roast one is excellent. Between gifting their pies to others, and buying them for my family and me, they've been a pretty consistent hit. :) And the staff is so lovely!

Ordered 2 pies on November 17. They still have not shipped even though I was finally told they'd ship nov 28 (yeah, thanksgiving was screwed ). My new tracking info indicated they'd arrive yesterday December 5 yet today they say they're to arrive tomorrow because they haven't been sent yet. Facebook ordering is a sham. This company is charging you outrageous shipping costs and failing miserably. Stay away. Don't trust them.

The pies are always fresh and delicious. I ordered a few and had them sent to my brothers home for our Thanksgiving dessert. Fabulous as always.

Every pie we have gotten from here has been exceptional. Favorite spot in Atlanta. High consistency in every item, across categories. It's become a weekly staple in our household. So happy this store exists.

The pie is so good, the perfect crust. Cherry filling was excellent, lots of fruit. They are a bit expensive, but for a special treat worth it. They sell box of their pie crust to make at home too.

I've always had Publix pie bc it's so delicious but this pie is AMAZING. Don't hesitate to try the samples! The coconut one melted in my mouth and the chocolate one tasted like a light creamy fudge. I bought the peach pie and chicken pie. Haven't had the chicken pie yet but the peach pie .... AMAZING.

Quick visit for dessert and coffee after lunch at a close restaurant ... it was great and I recommend it to everyone. Possibly too many folks in the small space but everyone wore masks.

Delicious. They do a really nice job, especially the crust. It's perfect if you want home cooking without having to cook, or if you have a few people to feed. A little expensive but worth it when you want something better than the usual to go restaurants.

This shop is located in the heart of Vinnings Jubilee. Parking is limited but once you make it inside the place smells amazing and the pies are fantastic. Be warned there's little to no choices for dairy free and you need to warn them a head of time for gluten free. The pies are pricey but so worth it.

I just moved here, and this was voted the best pie from my Next Door community. I got the sausage and onion quiche, and it was incredible...flaky pastry, and scrumptious filling. My ever expanding waistline prevents me from making this a habit, but I will definitely return when I want to treat myself!

Their chicken ranchero dinner pie is to die for! We've had it multiple times now. Their regular chicken pot pie is a classic, but we prefer chicken ranchero. We love the sweet ladies who work there also!

SO good!!! Their crust is so decadent and just melts in your mouth. They also have smaller hand pies in apple and cherry (but they sell out fast!). A huge treat to have a location close by in Vinings. :)

The pies are good, but I was very disappointed with the service and COVID-19 procedures. The pick-up process was slow and inefficient, and there is no distinction between people who ordered online or are placing orders in person, so ordering ahead did not appear to save me any time. The lines and spots marked for "social distancing" do not actually allow for social distancing because it winds back and forth. If everyone stood in the marked spot, I would essentially be standing right next to someone, so I did not feel very comfortable being asked to do so. While I was waiting for the cashier to finish entering another order in order to get mine, another employee started serving another customer and retrieving their pies before retrieving mine, which felt inefficient in terms of moving people through the line. It felt very disorganized and I believe more procedures can be put in place to streamline the pick-up process to ensure as little contact and waiting indoors as possible during COVID.
