Mission’s La Victoria Bakery Closes Today | Eater SF

"Subleased into La Victoria’s space, Sour Flour was a wholesale bakery run by Danny Gabriner that operated alongside the panaderia; Gabriner hoped the Mission Economic Development Agency might buy the building to save the bakery, but with the family trust pursuing other options and an eviction served in September, he now plans to move Sour Flour to commissary kitchen space elsewhere." - Caleb Pershan

La Victoria, a 67-Year-Old Mission Bakery, Continues to Fight Eviction | Eater SF

"Leasing space inside the bakery, Sour Flour is a sourdough baker and a subtenant that is five years into a ten-year lease with La Victoria; after eviction notices many subtenants moved their operations to more stable locations. Owner Danny Gabriner says the priority is to keep showing support and remain on site while the legal situation unfolds: “We don’t know for sure how things will go but we’ll be here this week and the next and the next, until we find out things unfold legally,” and they are operating daily from 7:30 a.m.–7:30 p.m. Gabriner and others hope a nonprofit like MEDA will purchase the building so all tenants can stay." - Ellen Fort

The bread, cookies, muffins and everything else they make is absolutely delicious. Organic, clean, healthy food. I have been consuming all these products for months and have had no issues with my eczema. For the 1st time in 10 years, I can eat bread again. The milk and honey sourdough bread, lightly toasted, makes excellent sandwiches. Couldn't be happier with the products and excellent service from a well informed staff. This is my go to for all my baked goods. And the bread stays fresh in the refrigerator for weeks.

Google
Southern Flourery No. 6 breads and food are Fantastic. I would have given them 6 Stars if that was an option. All the breads are made with wholesome ingredients and are extremely high quality. I highly recommend their muffins, focaccia, sourdough bowls and cookies. The Cinnamon Apple Focaccia is one of my all time favorites. In addition, if you have never had a butter candle it is a MUST try. Delicious and Fun!!! You light the butter candle and it melts pure butter into your sourdough bowl. So much fun!

Absolutely the best in every aspect!! I love the owner, the team and the food!! ❤️ The food is delicious and crave worthy!! I have not eaten one thing that I did not love. My grandbabies love it when I come over to visit with the bread and I love the fact that I am feeding them something organic. They jump up and down with excitement and say "don't forget the butter"!! They can eat half a loaf of Maria's sourdough bread with a stick of butter in one sitting.

Southern Flourery’s No. 6 sourdough bread is everything you want in a loaf—crusty on the outside, soft and airy on the inside, with that perfect tang that only true sourdough delivers. You can tell immediately it’s made with care and quality ingredients. The flavor is rich, slightly nutty, and develops beautifully when toasted or paired with butter, cheese, or even just eaten on its own. It’s obvious this bread is made by someone who knows what they’re doing and genuinely loves the craft. Whether you’re serving it at brunch, using it for sandwiches, or just tearing off a chunk with a bowl of soup, this sourdough makes everything better. Southern Flourery has completely raised the bar—I’ll never go back to grocery store bread again. Highly recommend!

My family discovered Southern Floury No.6 in January when it first opened. Since then we’ve bought nearly every week! We love the sourdough boules that are healthy (organic and that extra rye!) and delicious. We also enjoy the sandwich bread, which is perfect as breakfast toast. My kids eat the sourdough chocolate muffins quickly, so I buy extras to freeze. We also get the blueberry lemon scones, in season, and freeze them, as well. All the products have been lovingly prepared and packaged to look like they came from a big name bakery. I’ve enjoyed watching this little bakery grow the past few months.

Google
I absolutely love Southern Flourery No6 and order from them weekly. Both their breads and customer service are top-notch. I know their sourdough bread isn't necessarily considered gluten-free, but I'm able to eat their bread without a GI reaction like I have to all other regular bread products.

Google
Best bread ever!! We started buying the sourdough, but then we got the Honey Sandwich Bread...oh my, it's amazing.
