Southern Pecan Gulf Coast Kitchen offers a delightful culinary experience that showcases the rich flavors of the Southern coast. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it the perfect place for both casual dining and special occasions. The menu features a fantastic array of dishes that are both innovative and true to the region’s culinary roots. Each dish is prepared with care and attention to detail, resulting in a meal that is both satisfying and memorable. A standout aspect of our visit was the exceptional service provided by our server, Essence. Her friendly demeanor and attentive service truly enhanced our dining experience. Essence was knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations that perfectly complemented our tastes. She was prompt, courteous, and went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed. Her warm hospitality made us feel right at home and added a personal touch to our evening. Overall, Southern Pecan Gulf Coast Kitchen is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a taste of the South. The combination of delicious food and outstanding service from staff like Essence makes it a top choice for dining out.

Sunday brunch: The service was good and fast. Prices were reasonable. The BBQ oysters were great. The Parmesan oysters had a thick layer of Parmesan cheese melted over them that took away from the oyster itself. A friend said it reminded him of pizza! The deviled eggs and hush puppies were great. The pecan crusted catfish needed more seasoning, but had a good fry. The brisket hash was full of meat, but had large chunks of potatoes. The greens were VERY vinegary and the Mac and cheese was good, but needed salt. So just an ok food experience.

Visited as a special occasion on short notice and made reservations the day of. We were greetly warmly, shown our table, and provided a great spot overlooking the restaurant and bar area. Our server Walter was honestly one of the best I've had in years. The food was exceptional, and Walter made every part of the evening just a little more special. Food: I ordered the Brick Oven Chicken; Mac&Cheese, Greens, and Broccolini and had a Southern Sipper - all of the items were delicious and full of southern flavor. The husband ordered the Country Fried Steak and fries, and the sister ordered the pecan crusted catfish. They both raved about their dishes as well. Now, about Walter: My sister was visiting from Pennsylvania and had never had that southern experience, so Walter made sure we got the best of what this restaurant had to offer - he even got her some crawfish to try with her fish as a special welcome to the south. He helped us end the evening with berry cobbler, pecan pie, and key lime pie. Overall and amazing experience and will definitely be back!

Google
My daughter and I have been looking for a restaurant that isn't your mainstream restaurant and she found The Southern Pecan in SouthPark. The decor from the outside is different than the inside as it gives off a southern vibe but also a western, blues, jazz, country style decor. That's not bad, it's just not consistent. The customer service here is very good; our waiter was attentive, professional and personable. So let's get to the food, I ordered the Oven Roasted Flounder but was able to get it fried with sides of grits and collard greens. The entire meal worked very well together as the flavor of the fish matched the grits and collard greens. I was very impressed with everything. The atmosphere at the time was very relaxed, laid back and comfortable. There weren't many people in the restaurant but I think that when they are at full capacity, the atmosphere will still be nice. Overall, I recommend The Southern Pecan for the food, the atmosphere.

Google
I had no idea what I was in the mood for today and randomly googled “New Orleans food” and As a girlie from south Texas, I approve 🥹 this was my first time here, and Angela (bar service) was really nice and attentive. The music was a nice mixture of jazz, blues, and other soulful sounds. And the food is amazing I ordered a Coconut Mango mojito Deviled eggs to start (with complement corn bread — amazing) A small portion of the kale and avocado salad And the pecan catfish for my entree (yes all for me!) Everything was a 10/10 I’m so glad this is around the corner from my shop because I will be coming for some lunch breaks ❤️❤️ next time I want to try that beet and goat cheese salad

We had a great dinner tonight. We drove in from Greenville, SC for an impromptu night away. Walter was our waiter and he went above and beyond service wise for us. Our anniversary is coming this week and although this dinner was not meant for celebration. He sure made sure we had a celebration anyways! Food was great as well! Would definitely recommend to anyone

Google
Good southern food, service is a little slow, but they are very friendly and welcoming. Loved the shrimp and grits. Bourbon pecan pie was fantastic. Comfortable decor. Nice bar and wine selection.

Google
My coworkers & I were staying at a hotel next door for a training & ate here for dinner after a long day of driving. We ordered a few rounds of drinks, all of which were delicious. For dinner I got the meal of the day it was amazing!! My coworker got the shrimp & grits and fell in love. Yummy southern gulf food it’s in the name 🤷‍♀️🐟

Yelp
We walked into a comfortable, upscale restaurant with a welcoming team. Each person provided genuine help and offered great smiles. I ordered the short ribs, which were beyond amazing. The flavor of the gravy was rich, the potatoes soft, and the carrots super tender. And the meat was the definition of melt-in-your-mouth! Most importantly, the sweet tea was made correctly, not fake like in so many places. I would come back in a heartbeat!

Yelp
I had a solid dining experience here for breakfast. The service was friendly and efficient. The decor is cozy yet spacious, and the ladies bathroom was very cute. I ordered basic breakfast items, which was average, so I would have to come back to try something more involved to really comment on the flavors. The greens were good and vinegary if that your preference---and the pancakes were solid (thin, but decent). They also have maple syrup which elevates the flavor over regular syrup. One downside is there are no turkey products on the menu for breakfast. The complimentary cornbread was a nice touch, but it wasn't the best. Overall, I would return again to try dinner.

Yelp
Checked out the Southern Pecan last night with some friends. The menu is filled with so many delicious options. Our server, Kat, was so knowledgeable and helped us navigate through the various options. Some of the best service I have experienced at a restaurant recently. For our appetizer we shared the deviled eggs along with the complimentary corn bread. We all chose different entrees so we could sample each other's choices. Everything was perfectly prepared and beyond our expectations. I chose the Southern Fried Steak. It was served with mashed potatoes and fresh green beans. The steak was thin and not over breaded, making the dish light tasting. Not pictured-Pecan Catfish and Shrimp and Grits. I don't usually care for fish, but the catfish was delicious! We also liked the sauce on the shrimp and grits! Definitely give them a try!

Yelp
The southern pecan had great parking, cool bathrooms and really good service. The breakfast itself was just okay in my opinion but the French press coffee was really good. There was nothing wrong with the food. It definitely got the job done. Everyone was super nice but nothing about the food stood out if that makes sense. I would go again as again the service was impeccable.

Yelp
Absolutely loved the dishes I got within the last few weeks lol. The catfish and short rib were 10/10!! Even the cornbread (when hot) is so so good! I will give service a 7/10. My dinner server was a little forgetful but the manager made up for it. No complaints about the ambiance!

Yelp
My friend and I stopped by Southern Pecan because I hadn't been in over a year. Sivechi: 7/10, too salty, pretty good still, texture was tuff. Gumbo : 4/10 , a little bland and more robust flavor. A key component missing. Cornbread: "We need 2 more of those " 10/10 Catfish po boy: very well seasoned, and filled with catfish. 8/10 Crembrule vanilla bean cheesecake: 9/10, needs the hard sugar coating. Short rib: 9/10, robust flavor, very tender short rib and mashed potatoes very creamy. Carrots cooked well. Very clean and well lit environment. Overall great experience!! Service was on point, and we didn't have to ask for much.

Yelp
The service was amazing. Great recommendations by our server Tony P. The mango mojito mocktail was delicious. We started with the deviled eggs and they were a great starter. The breaded Catfish and braised short rib were packed with flavor! The ribs were cooked to perfection. The fish with encrusted pecans was a new flavor profile that I will be returning for. We ended the night with a special birthday cobbler. I also enjoyed the background music that was at the right level that did not interfere with our conversation. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Yelp
Good food! Relaxing fun atmosphere. Cute decor. Service was nice. I got the pecan crusted catfish and it was delicious. The beans were a little under cooked. The mashed potatoes were a little sticky. Overall the fish was great though. The key lime pie was good but a bit too overly sweet. Also it had a layer of green on top, which I didn't like. Why the food dye? I'd return to try their brunch!
google avatar

Yelp
This restaurant was a 10 out 10! I got the Southern Fried steak with gravy, green beans and Mac and cheese. I also got a side of Collard Greens. The Steak was very tender covered in warm gravy. The Mac and cheese were very cheesy and good. Although, the green beans wasn't my favorite they were still good. The collards were tender, juicy with a hint of sweetness. I loved everything that I ate. We had a fantastic server. He was so cool, accommodating. The ambiance was very nice but causal. It was super busy so I would recommend reservations. They also have valet parking. I can't wait to visit again!

Yelp
I was visiting the area for business and knew I was going to be dining with colleagues the whole visit, but just for fun during my first night in town I went on Yelp to look up restaurants I should visit. Southern Pecan came up and I checked it out, wishing I was here for pleasure so I could check it out, but much to my surprise a few colleagues invited us out the next night and suggested SOUTHERN PECAN! The restaurant is situated in a beautiful restaurant and retail area and we were warmly greeted and brought to a booth. The ONLY thing I didn't love was having four of us squishing into the booth, but other than that it was fantastic. I started with a sweet tea, because while some other members of our party had cocktails. Our server brought over warm cornbread that was somehow equal parts sweet and savory, with kernels of corn throughout. For appetizers we ordered the Parmesan oysters and the BBQ shrimp. I would have chosen the pimento cheese, but my coworkers are seafood lovers so I went with the flow. Both the oysters and shrimp were served with crusty bread to sop up the sauce. Since I was dining with a bunch of guys, I didn't try any of the bread, but they seemed to enjoy it. For my entree I tried the chicken fried steak with creamy gravy, mashed potatoes, and green beans. Everything was seasoned to perfection and decadent. This is what I imagined good southern food to be despite having it elsewhere and it not living up to the hype. I was so full but still would have loved to try dessert, especially the seasonal cobbler, if my husband was there to share with me but since he wasn't I declined. My colleagues shared the creme brûlée cheesecake and seemed to love it. I usually am great at taking food photos but since this was a business dinner I kept my phone in my purse regrettably. Looking forward to coming back the next time I'm in town.

Yelp
Girls night enjoying a Queen's Feast special before Charlotte food week is over. Ambiance is great, good music, services was great. The Texas style Paloma was delicious and so was the cornbread. The short rib with mash potatoes, gravy and roasted carrots was great. Nice and tender, very flavorful. I am not a catfish lover but I tried my friends and it was REALLY good, I was pleasantly surprised. I think I'll add The Southern Pecan to my date night list.

Yelp
I learned of this restaurant as they were on the list for Charlotte's Restaurant Week. Made a reservation for Sunday at 8 PM. Even with me arriving 20 minutes early, I was greeted/seated right away. Noticed a dress code of business casual while making my reservation; however, I did notice people walk-in with t-shirts/jeans. AMBIANCE: This would be a cute date night spot. Space was clean, dimly lit and gave classy vibes. Music playing and TVs located above the bar. PARKING: A lot is located behind the restaurant. When I arrived, it was full. Drove over to the neighboring shops and easily found parking. My server was friendly and attentive (even with her working behind the bar). I ordered off the restaurant week menu. FOOD: Starter - Deviled eggs with pickles Salad - Strawberry salad w/ mixed greens, cucumber, golden raisins, goat cheese crumbles, candied pecans Entree - Pecan fried Catfish with cilantro line beurre blanc, pole beans, roasted mashed potatoes Dessert - Key lime pie First off, all of this food for $35.00 was a STEAL honey! Ordered a sweet tea to drink, for this to be a southern restaurant, was highly disappointed. The sugar was not there ... Deviled eggs were good. They had a twang from the mustard with crispy bacon on top. The strawberry salad was delish!!! Hopefully they have this as an entree because a nice piece of salmon on top would be too good!!! Noticed some of the items on the salad were substituted (no cucumbers or golden raisins but had red onion and cherries) The star of the show - Pecan fried catfish!!! Large portion of fish with an even larger portion of mashed potatoes. Definitely made two meals out of this entree. The only thing I could have used on the fish was hot sauce. Not sure if substitutions are allowed, I just ordered the entree how it came. The dessert is listed as key lime pie, however it's a key lime cheesecake. The meal overall was good. Would definitely come back and recommend to a friend!

Yelp
Lucky for us we did not have to wait to be seated. Nice atmosphere with a bar and music playing. It took a little time before our server came over to greet us to get our drink order. The brunch menu wasn't extensive but there was a good variety of food. We started with mimosas, they were delicious. The cornbread came after that. Cold cornbread and cold butter don't go good together. Our appetizers and entrees came at the same time. That was disappointing. The cup of gumbo which was plentiful in size, was not hot and lacked taste. The hot pimento cheese dip was good as well as the baguette. We had the cucumber salad which was very tasty. All the portion size was plenty and worth the money. However, everything did need more flavor including the bbq shrimp and catfish strips.

Yelp
I would actually give this place 4.5 stars. We stopped in while on a recent weekend visit to Charlotte. After reading other reviews, we decided to try, and it did not disappoint We made a reservation, which I would highly recommend. The only time available when we booked was 4:30. When we arrived, we thought we didn't really need the reservation, but when we left an hour later, it was packed. Not an empty seat in the house. There were excellent southern dishes to choose from. I had the pork chop with mashed potatoes and greens. It was everything I hoped for. My wife, who is not typically a fried fish person, got the pecan crusted fried catfish and said it was the best catfish she ever had. I snuck a bite and had to agree it was one of the best I've ever had, too. We added a side of Mac and cheese, because why not, and it was excellent. They serve warm corn bread to start. Beware, it's so good you'll fill up on that if you're not careful. If you can make a reservation, I say get here and give it a shot.

Emma E.

Yelp
Amazing. The ambiance is perfect, the service is some of the best I've ever had. The food is incredible. 5/5 experience. I had the pecan crusted catfish and all the sides were amazing. My boyfriend had some sort of pulled pork bbq (can't remember now) also great. We don't live in Charlotte but are eager to come again when we're back!
google avatar

Candice H.

Yelp
Great service, fresh food. The only thing missing is seasoning. I was so hopeful after the barbecued shrimp- well-seasoned and very flavorful. The pecan catfish was perfectly crispy, hot, fried to order and ... disappointingly bland. Even the sauce on top added nothing. "Gulf coast" catfish is seasoned. The batter and the filets. I brought salt and salted everything heavily, but it wasn't enough to save it. The ambience was very nice and Jay was a great server, though. Bring your Tony Chacheres

Yelp
Food was delicious & I was able to sit on back patio easily! I visited on a Wednesday & it's 1/2 off bottles of vino that day! I tried the oysters, Deviled eggs, & the warm pimento cheese dip which was YUMMY! Would definitely return!
google avatar

Yelp
Enjoyed an early dinner and of course everything was delicious as always they never disappoint. Our server Tony was fantastic! A must visit hurry and visit soon.

Yelp
Visiting the area and stopped in for a late lunch. As we walked in we were warmly greeted by the hostess. There is a big bar, lots of windows and we liked the music theme throughout the restaurant. Our server greeted us with a glass of water and big smile. She was helpful with menu items we asked about. We both enjoyed a very tasty local brown ale and opted for the creamy tomato soup and kale salad. They were both delicious and the cornbread was a nice treat. It paired well with the soup. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Everything was fresh and delicious.
google avatar

Tonya M.

Yelp
The name itself pulled me in!! My daughter and I raced to Charlotte (in traffic) with reservations...before a flight...to the southern pecan. What an experience!!! The menu is one thing, but the food passing by...how could we decide. Everything looked delicious!! We met a couple close by and shared stories and talked about all the amazing things to try. The catfish!!! The fried chicken!!! The mashed potatoes...everything...delicious!!!
google avatar

David I.

Yelp
Made a reservation, but were greeted with, "Are you here celebrating something?" I looked around, and we weren't dressed in appropriately, and it was just brunch... then the waiter asked the same thing. My son and I thought that was a bit strange. The food was ok. We had hushpuppies and the pimiento cheese appetizer to start. Both were fine. The hush puppies combine sweet and savory, which wasn't the best approach in my opinion. My son had the jambalaya, and it was ok. I have the pulled chicken club and it was ok, as well. Nothing remarkable here, if we were local we would likely explore other options.
google avatar

Adriane L.

Yelp
Parking - There is complimentary valet parking available, but the parking lot also has plenty of parking. Ari was our waiter. Apparently today is just her second day on the floor, but she did a great job! I ordered the quail wings for an appetizer and the redfish entree with a side of broccolini. The quail wings were good. The skin was seasoned well. The bread is the star of this app honestly. It came with a sauce that isnt needed at all because the oil at the bottom of the bowl did what needed to be done. If you love a garlicky taste, GET THE BROCCOLINI. It was hands down my favorite part and that's saying a lot because I liked everything I ordered. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Perfectly. The redfish was also amazing. It was perfectly seasoned and cooked as well. The sauce it comes covered in was incredible. *chef's kiss*. The only reason it wasnt my favorite dish is because I could've done without the red beans & rice. I didn't love or hate them. It doesn't seem like they are prepared with the same level of TLC as everything ordered. I didnt have room for dessert unfortunately, but I certainly plan to return and explore more of the menu! I only have partial pictures because I ate a little bit first just come try the food.

Yelp
My first visit to Charlotte & this restaurant I bookmarked to try for brunch. I had a facial about 10mins away and thought brunch after would be great for my Sunday funday activities. I sat at the bar and was immediately greeted and brought water, the service overall was above average. Although one lady in particular served me, 2 other ppl came by to ask if I needed anything. I also asked for recommendations and that lead me to order the shrimp and grits and a side of catfish. The food was delicious, grits creamy and flavorful with a yummy gravy on top. Catfish perfectly fried and seasoned. I had a nice whiskey cocktail and a beer. The prices are fair for the portions and the place was pretty busy so it seems they're doing things right. The bathroom was also very clean. I'd for sure come again and try something new.
google avatar

Yelp
Southern comfort meets southern charm. Love the blues vibe. The food was exceptional. Visited Charlotte for the weekend & ate here twice in 2 days. Good food, good drinks & good service.
google avatar

Teree G.

Yelp
Service wasn't the best at all....i was seated by the backside of the bar where staff would lean up against and chat over me... then upon ordering waiter seemed to be rushing us... when are meals came out the runner took our plates to the table in front of us where the people looked over it before realizing that was the wrong table. The food was just ok.... Would have liked to be treated like other customers
google avatar

Na'Shota L.

Yelp
1st I want to say that Essence and Rose knocked it out being our servers! If it was not for them, it would be at 3 stars (A ok). We had dinner in the private space and all went well. Music, attention to our needs, drinks, etc. I took a star away because the floor was sticky in some spots, the food lacked seasoning, and all of the menus need a good cleaning.
google avatar

Chris L.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with family. The atmosphere is upbeat and intimate like a modern American restaurant but with traditional southern food with a twist here and there. My favorite by far was the pimento cheese. We got it warm. Servers were nice and well and staff seemed very genuine.
google avatar

Laryssa S.

Yelp
I had a really good meal at this restaurant recently! I came here for a girls night and left wanting to come back. Our waiter was everything! He was so kind and funny and very helpful. I ended up ordering the catfish meal and a side of mac and cheese. I was not disappointed at all. The food was so good! I will be back!

Yelp
Went here for a ladies night and we have been here before. I think their menu has changed since the last time we came here. The restaurant inside has a lot of seating and it's got a western/southern look to it. There is a full bar as well. The service was pretty good and the server did well in answering our questions. The cocktails didn't have a lot of sweet and fruity options but I did enjoy the coconut mango mojito. I ordered the special which was the Louisiana fried flounder with mashed potatoes and baked mac n cheese for $24. The fish was decent, the shrimp was yummy, there was a lot of mashed potatoes which I loved, but my Mac n cheese was a little under baked and I didn't love it as much. I think everyone else was happy with their food and overall it wasn't bad. We will probably come here again.
google avatar

Lucy F.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants in Charlotte. For where it's located prices are not bad. Everything I've ever had here has been very tasteful. Service is great too. That corn bread is so good.
google avatar

Kim I.

Yelp
Our first visit and it was well worth it. We got the Southern fried steak and the catfish, both were very delicious. Staff was amazing and even on a Saturday evening, the food came out very quickly. Highly recommend. Can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Ita R.

Yelp
Great service and amazing food. The food was very well seasoned. Nice bar area! The catfish was perfectly cooked.
google avatar

Rose S.

Yelp
The party room really doesn't have any ambiance. It does have its own restroom which is a plus. It's connected to the restaurant but also has its own door. I enjoyed my shrimp and grits. I'm not a big api eater person and this had just the right Amish t for me. The sauce wasn't broken which so often happens. It was such a large portion I only ate half of it. Definitely need some bread or a roll to sop up the sauce. I was with a group. The servers handled it well including the support checks which is sometimes a challenge.
google avatar

Ryan B.

Yelp
It was absolutely amazing! Great atmosphere. Everything is southern food with taste elevating that is perfect. They nailed it on everything. I ate there 2 days in a row.

Yelp
Good ol' southern cooking. Had the CFS and it was yumm yumm good. Portion size is big and prices are reasonable. Service was good fast and friendly.

Yelp
We visited on a Friday and the restaurant was packed. As soon as we entered I was immediately reminded of one of the things I miss about NC...Southern hospitality. The host greeted us with a smile and a few jokes because we didn't have a reservation. The wait was only about 10 minutes. Once seated, our server Tony introduced himself and discussed a few drink and menu options. I ordered the sweet tea and y'all know NC sweet tea ain't nothing but the truth. I think I had about 4 glasses. The food did not disappoint either...fried oysters, catfish, shrimp and grits. Tony was the epitome of a great server and did so with kindness and attentiveness. Really enjoyed the meal and the Southern hospitality. I'll be back!!
google avatar

Tanner C.

Yelp
Amazing service, delightful food, a friendly bill. Extremely hard to find anything negative to say. I'll be back!
google avatar

Michael D.

Yelp
Food was really good. Our waiter appeared distracted because our appetizer was not entered, several other tables received corn bread that we never saw, and when we said we wanted dessert, it took him 10 minutes to return to take the order. Food was good enough to give it another try!
google avatar

Jackie P.

Yelp
I've eaten twice here; Sunday brunch and dinner. My friend and I enjoyed a delicious Sunday brunch. The shrimp and grits dish was delicious. I also had Gumbo. The ambience had the feel of warmth and comfort. I will visit again
google avatar

Karen C.

Yelp
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Will definitely return. Only reason I held off on 5 stars is because we didn't try their drinks and they ran out of mashed potatoes on a Friday night. My short rib was outstanding. The corn bread was yummy. The pimento cheese dip was tasty. Our waiter was phenomenal. We tried to Catfish, Salmon and Shrimp and Grits. Everyone loved their dinners. We sat in a cozy booth but next time will try a table to get a different feel for the ambiance.
google avatar

Cynthia R.

Yelp
I attended a private fundraiser here and the place is beautiful. The staff was absolutely amazing. It was open bar with a plated dinner and the drinks were perfectly made and refreshing. The food was seasoned to perfection and delighted my tastebuds. I will certainly come back here on a regular day. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

Yelp
Great food and drinks, service was awesome. We went for Valentine's Day and enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant.

Yelp
Great southern style place to eat. Food is spot on. Only received a four because it is certainly time to upgrade your booth seats.

Yelp
This was a delightful early dinner venue in the South Park area of Charlotte. We'd seen it a number of times at 7:30 and later and it was always full. We stopped in a little after 5 pm and had no trouble being seated. The fact that this restaurant is but 50 feet from the Hampton Inn Suites South Park makes it all the more in demand. Given its location it is not surprising that this establishment is a bit pricey ... figure $50 to $75 per depending on drinks and such; but that said it was well worth the tab. After drinks we started with shrimp cocktail and deviled eggs as shareable starters ... and they were excellent both in size and taste; there really was enough to share for two or three. For mains we had the Southern Fried Steak (think chicken fried steak in the north), the Pick Three Sides (instead of a single entree), and the Soup of the Day (brisket vegetable). Each was brought of flawlessly ... and I think with the right appetite I'd also get the Southern Fried Steak next time. For desert we shared the Key Lime Pie and Five Layer Chocolate Cake. Wonderful food. From drinks, to starters, to mains and deserts we thought this was a five star experience. The waitstaff was spot on (we had Maggie P) and kudos goes to the floor manager because everyone (waitstaff, bartenders, runners, and clean up) all knew what to do and did it perfectly. Nice experience ... try it.

Yelp
So first of all the atmosphere is light and you will find yourself swaying your shoulders to one of the musical hits they play! Checking in wasn't too bad at all. Sky my waitress and Angela (Bar Extraordinair) were amazing! When I tell you I knew it was going to be a great experience first sip.... OMG!!! Anywho... I had the crab cakes, they were a tinch looser than I expected them to be, but nonetheless delicious! Then I had the Pecan Fried catfish and adult beverages... delicious! Awesome experience all the way around! Kudos y'all!!! Especially Angela!!! YouROCK! But so does Sky! And shout out to Essence who brought me out my crabcakes! All of you all ROCK!

Yelp
I truly enjoyed Southern Pecan. I made reservations for 12:15pm on a Sunday for 2. They are located in the Southpark. I love a restaurant with valet parking. We ordered hush puppies that were sweet and savory with a blueberry compost on the side. I had a mango mojito it was delicious we ordered the country breakfast, strawberry pancakes and 2 to go entrees of brisket and catfish and shrimp with house salad. Everything was delicious but next time I will get plain buttermilk pancakes. I definitely will return. My portion of bill was about $50. Great place for cocktails to large bar.

Yelp
This restaurant reminds me of an upscale lizard thicket (for those of you that know this South Carolina restaurant) there is easy free parking. A hostess will seat you when you walk in the restaurant. My waitress provided great service. I ordered a coffee and seafood omelette. Omg this omelette was so delicious with real meat (not sandwich meat) throughout the omelette. My meal came with grits and toast. I went another day with hubby. We hade great service but the food wasn't hitting this day. I had the crab cake eggs Benedict (didn't have much flavor) and my husband had shrimp and grits and he wasn't pleased. However don't go by our taste buds you may have a different experience.

Yelp
if you haven't had a chance to venture to this spot, put it on your calendar and GO!!! My wife and I ended up here just as a quick search while visiting Charlotte. we ended up going around 3PM in the afternoon. We found it through a Yelp search. Thank you Yelp! This one is a keeper. My wife and I had a Caesar salad and Louisiana BBQ shrimp as an appetizer. They also provided us with freshly baked cornbread that came out hot! All were delicious. we were excited about the main entrees that were to come. I ordered the fried jumbo shrimp and the wife had shrimp tacos. Again, the food was spot on. I meant to order the Mac & Cheese and the Collard Greens, but forgot. based on the taste of the food today, I won't forget those two. If they are in line with the rest of the meal, I'm in for a special treat. Our waiter was on point too! This was just so right and at the right time. We've already decided that we will be visiting this spot again! Kudos to the whole team at The Southern Pecan!
