Yelp
I learned of this restaurant as they were on the list for Charlotte's Restaurant Week. Made a reservation for Sunday at 8 PM. Even with me arriving 20 minutes early, I was greeted/seated right away. Noticed a dress code of business casual while making my reservation; however, I did notice people walk-in with t-shirts/jeans.
AMBIANCE:
This would be a cute date night spot. Space was clean, dimly lit and gave classy vibes. Music playing and TVs located above the bar.
PARKING:
A lot is located behind the restaurant. When I arrived, it was full. Drove over to the neighboring shops and easily found parking.
My server was friendly and attentive (even with her working behind the bar). I ordered off the restaurant week menu.
FOOD:
Starter - Deviled eggs with pickles
Salad - Strawberry salad w/ mixed greens, cucumber, golden raisins, goat cheese crumbles, candied pecans
Entree - Pecan fried Catfish with cilantro line beurre blanc, pole beans, roasted mashed potatoes
Dessert - Key lime pie
First off, all of this food for $35.00 was a STEAL honey! Ordered a sweet tea to drink, for this to be a southern restaurant, was highly disappointed. The sugar was not there ...
Deviled eggs were good. They had a twang from the mustard with crispy bacon on top.
The strawberry salad was delish!!! Hopefully they have this as an entree because a nice piece of salmon on top would be too good!!! Noticed some of the items on the salad were substituted (no cucumbers or golden raisins but had red onion and cherries)
The star of the show - Pecan fried catfish!!! Large portion of fish with an even larger portion of mashed potatoes. Definitely made two meals out of this entree. The only thing I could have used on the fish was hot sauce. Not sure if substitutions are allowed, I just ordered the entree how it came.
The dessert is listed as key lime pie, however it's a key lime cheesecake.
The meal overall was good. Would definitely come back and recommend to a friend!
