First time visiting southern pecan for brunch. I was very happy I decided to go. Great selection of menu options, from traditional breakfast items to more Louisiana style entrées. I tried the shrimp and grits and saying it was amazing doesn’t do it justice. The hush puppies were also really good and brunch was not complete without a cocktail, so I had their coconut mango Mojito, which was delicious. I will absolutely be back.

Nothing on the menu will ever disappoint. It's right on the money. They're doing what they need to do in the kitchen. It's so good. This visit I got the chicken with potatoes and a side of veggies and along with a pineapple Mojito. I love the staff here and the environment is great. I generally come here on Sunday after church so seating has never been an issue. It's a great spot to watch a game whether with a crowd or solo - there's such a great crowd here that you are bound to make friends. I've actually been here for quite a few celebrations as well, which they have amazing space for it so I highly recommend for celebrations or if you're looking a delicious comfort meal or drinks.

We had a great experience at Southern Pecan Gulf Coast in Charlotte, a Louisiana-inspired restaurant with a warm and welcoming Southern vibe. We started with the BBQ shrimp appetizer, which was flavorful and had that classic Gulf Coast kick. We also tried the pickle and bacon deviled eggs—a creative twist, though not our personal favorite. For our entrées, I had the roasted chicken, which was tender, juicy, and well-seasoned. My husband ordered the braised short rib, and it was outstanding—rich, slow-cooked, and full of flavor. The service was excellent from start to finish, and the ambiance was relaxed, stylish, and inviting, perfect for dinner and conversation. We really enjoyed the overall experience and would definitely return to explore more of the menu.

Four of us had dinner at the Southern Pecan Gulf Coast Kitchen in Charlotte, NC. Being from out of town we didn't realize we needed a reservation but they kindly and quickly seated us. Our server Tony was informative, helpful and attentive. The restaurant has good ambiance. Our food was delivered timely and with hearty portions as well as being very delicious. We enjoyed our meal and would return to Southern Pecan if the opportunity arose.

My mom and I visited The Southern Pecan, and it was absolutely fabulous! We were warmly greeted by the hostess and seated right away at a cozy booth. Water was brought promptly while we looked over the menu. As we waited for our server, we took in the beautiful décor, open kitchen, and lively atmosphere. The place felt warm and inviting, with blues music playing softly in the background and happy guests all around. Our server, Cassie, was bubbly, friendly, and full of great recommendations! She made us feel right at home and helped us choose some guest favorites. We started with the Shrimp Cocktail, which came with an incredible BBQ reduction sauce — delicious! For our entrées, we both ordered the Fried Catfish — mine with mashed potatoes and green beans, and my mom’s with greens and mashed potatoes. Both dishes were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. We truly enjoyed everything about our experience. I’d highly recommend The Southern Pecan to anyone craving authentic Southern comfort food. Bring your friends, family, or out-of-town guests — you won’t be disappointed!

Came here tonight with my husband. We were blown away by the food quality and service. We had the crab cakes, kale arugula salad, chicken and dumplings, pecan crusted catfish and bourbon chocolate pecan pie. It was all so delicious. The cornbread they served warm was amazing as well. It was a really enjoyable experience. It’s a very calm and easy going atmosphere, nice music playing, our server Tony was amazing and he never rushed us. The decor was beautiful and matched the atmosphere. We will definitely be regulars.

Google
I cannot say enough great things about this place, it's a must go! Had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Our server (Patrick?) was very knowledgeable and had great suggestions. Between the five of us, we tried quite a few different things from the menu. Lemon kale and avocado salad, the jambalaya, flonder plus the mac n cheese and desert cobbler were some of the best dishes I've had in a long time. Great cocktails too. Again, fantastic restaurant and great service and atmosphere. Will definitely return.

Google
Large portions , friendly welcome , Alex our waiter was very knowledgable and attentive . Kale and avacado salad ( added chicken) was huge and my husband’s chicken club sandwich was very fresh. Not a fan of the Brussels sprouts not crispy and soaked in dressing .

Yelp
This was our first time at Southern Pecan. We were sat in a booth near the bar within view of 3 tvs showing college fb games. The restaurant has high ceilings with upscale decor. Ricky was our server and he did a great job. He made good app and entree suggestions most of which we ordered. We ordered his favorite appetizer, BBQ Shrimp that came in a tasty sauce that we soaked up with the bread and cornbread. Krissy ordered a Caesar salad and I got their carpaccio soup special for our next course. We both ordered seafood for our entree; Krissy ordered the fried catfish with pecan cream sauce. With the mashed potatoes and green beans the fried catfish and sauce was like comfort food. That was a tasty choice. I ordered the red fish with sauce mash potatoes and broccoli. After this three course meal we were stuffed and content. Southern Pecan was add to our CLT Favs collection after this meal. I highly recommend SP for anyone in the South Park Area! Cheers!

Yelp
Another great night with friends, making it a table of four. Do like the menu and the bar with their special concoctions. Food is excellent. Service tonight was not up to par. Some tables were served immediately. It was not crowded and there were empty tables. We sat for a very long time, over 20 minutes, were on the verge of asking the front desk what the problem was, when we got menus and ordered drinks. The women liked the Coconut Mange Mojito ($16) and we guys had their wonderful, limey Big Easy Gimlets ($16). The bar is really good. Mains were Southern Fried Steaks ($26) and the Bourbon Short Ribs ($16). I was allowed to substitute the side of carrots for greens and it was no problem. Wife wanted red beans for her meal modification and was satisfied. The valet parking is a life saver for Southern Pecan. In the past, the hunt was on, in an ever increasing radius from the restaurant to find any parking. Now, just pull up to the valet. Thank you.

Yelp
I had a solid dining experience here for breakfast. The service was friendly and efficient. The decor is cozy yet spacious, and the ladies bathroom was very cute. I ordered basic breakfast items, which was average, so I would have to come back to try something more involved to really comment on the flavors. The greens were good and vinegary if that your preference---and the pancakes were solid (thin, but decent). They also have maple syrup which elevates the flavor over regular syrup. One downside is there are no turkey products on the menu for breakfast. The complimentary cornbread was a nice touch, but it wasn't the best. Overall, I would return again to try dinner.

Yelp
We had a large group for dinner last night while in town. Many of us ordered pecan crusted catfish, two ordered salmon, one ordered country fried steak, and another ordered the burger. We all enjoyed our food, though only one person initially received the lemon citrus sauce for the catfish. The country fried steak was missing the sides initially. It took a while to get the bread before the meals arrived. Some meals took longer to come out than others. They were busy and we were a large group but someone has to check the food before it comes out. Nonetheless, we enjoyed ourself and would come again.

Yelp
We walked into a comfortable, upscale restaurant with a welcoming team. Each person provided genuine help and offered great smiles. I ordered the short ribs, which were beyond amazing. The flavor of the gravy was rich, the potatoes soft, and the carrots super tender. And the meat was the definition of melt-in-your-mouth! Most importantly, the sweet tea was made correctly, not fake like in so many places. I would come back in a heartbeat!

Yelp
Checked out the Southern Pecan last night with some friends. The menu is filled with so many delicious options. Our server, Kat, was so knowledgeable and helped us navigate through the various options. Some of the best service I have experienced at a restaurant recently. For our appetizer we shared the deviled eggs along with the complimentary corn bread. We all chose different entrees so we could sample each other's choices. Everything was perfectly prepared and beyond our expectations. I chose the Southern Fried Steak. It was served with mashed potatoes and fresh green beans. The steak was thin and not over breaded, making the dish light tasting. Not pictured-Pecan Catfish and Shrimp and Grits. I don't usually care for fish, but the catfish was delicious! We also liked the sauce on the shrimp and grits! Definitely give them a try!

Yelp
Went last night and got dinner appetizers were pretty good till I ordered the chicken pasta, Asked for low spice and still brought it out spicy and the chicken was the chewiest chicken ever. Sent it back and they brought out another one and the chicken was exactly the same and the dish was even spicier.

Yelp
Some colleagues and I had a gathering in their private dining room. We had chicken tenders, flat bread, and beverages with a private server. I added the soup of the day and a Shirley temple. Everything was good and the waiter was nice. The parking situation is just okay. It's a busy area but they do have valet service if needed.
google avatar

Jacquelyn A.

Yelp
Roasted chicken with broccoli and brussel sprouts is what I got. Half chicken with just a little bit of spice and cooked so well- nice, tender and juicy. The broccoli was a little cold and hard, but I still give this 5 stars because of how good the chicken and brussel sprouts were. Brussels are my favorite veggie, and hands down the way they season these with an Asian-style sauce is to die for. My husband ordered the burger and was very impressed with the sauce. He didn't leave me any to try! Our server was Kat, and shoutout to her for being super friendly and attentive!

Yelp
The southern pecan had great parking, cool bathrooms and really good service. The breakfast itself was just okay in my opinion but the French press coffee was really good. There was nothing wrong with the food. It definitely got the job done. Everyone was super nice but nothing about the food stood out if that makes sense. I would go again as again the service was impeccable.

Yelp
This restaurant was a 10 out 10! I got the Southern Fried steak with gravy, green beans and Mac and cheese. I also got a side of Collard Greens. The Steak was very tender covered in warm gravy. The Mac and cheese were very cheesy and good. Although, the green beans wasn't my favorite they were still good. The collards were tender, juicy with a hint of sweetness. I loved everything that I ate. We had a fantastic server. He was so cool, accommodating. The ambiance was very nice but causal. It was super busy so I would recommend reservations. They also have valet parking. I can't wait to visit again!

Zachary M.

Yelp
I was really impressed with my experience here. The food was great and the service was friendly. There was a small mixup with our order, but they were able to resolve it and were very apologetic. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
Girls night enjoying a Queen's Feast special before Charlotte food week is over. Ambiance is great, good music, services was great. The Texas style Paloma was delicious and so was the cornbread. The short rib with mash potatoes, gravy and roasted carrots was great. Nice and tender, very flavorful. I am not a catfish lover but I tried my friends and it was REALLY good, I was pleasantly surprised. I think I'll add The Southern Pecan to my date night list.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely loved the dishes I got within the last few weeks lol. The catfish and short rib were 10/10!! Even the cornbread (when hot) is so so good! I will give service a 7/10. My dinner server was a little forgetful but the manager made up for it. No complaints about the ambiance!

Yelp
I learned of this restaurant as they were on the list for Charlotte's Restaurant Week. Made a reservation for Sunday at 8 PM. Even with me arriving 20 minutes early, I was greeted/seated right away. Noticed a dress code of business casual while making my reservation; however, I did notice people walk-in with t-shirts/jeans. AMBIANCE: This would be a cute date night spot. Space was clean, dimly lit and gave classy vibes. Music playing and TVs located above the bar. PARKING: A lot is located behind the restaurant. When I arrived, it was full. Drove over to the neighboring shops and easily found parking. My server was friendly and attentive (even with her working behind the bar). I ordered off the restaurant week menu. FOOD: Starter - Deviled eggs with pickles Salad - Strawberry salad w/ mixed greens, cucumber, golden raisins, goat cheese crumbles, candied pecans Entree - Pecan fried Catfish with cilantro line beurre blanc, pole beans, roasted mashed potatoes Dessert - Key lime pie First off, all of this food for $35.00 was a STEAL honey! Ordered a sweet tea to drink, for this to be a southern restaurant, was highly disappointed. The sugar was not there ... Deviled eggs were good. They had a twang from the mustard with crispy bacon on top. The strawberry salad was delish!!! Hopefully they have this as an entree because a nice piece of salmon on top would be too good!!! Noticed some of the items on the salad were substituted (no cucumbers or golden raisins but had red onion and cherries) The star of the show - Pecan fried catfish!!! Large portion of fish with an even larger portion of mashed potatoes. Definitely made two meals out of this entree. The only thing I could have used on the fish was hot sauce. Not sure if substitutions are allowed, I just ordered the entree how it came. The dessert is listed as key lime pie, however it's a key lime cheesecake. The meal overall was good. Would definitely come back and recommend to a friend!

Yelp
Lucky for us we did not have to wait to be seated. Nice atmosphere with a bar and music playing. It took a little time before our server came over to greet us to get our drink order. The brunch menu wasn't extensive but there was a good variety of food. We started with mimosas, they were delicious. The cornbread came after that. Cold cornbread and cold butter don't go good together. Our appetizers and entrees came at the same time. That was disappointing. The cup of gumbo which was plentiful in size, was not hot and lacked taste. The hot pimento cheese dip was good as well as the baguette. We had the cucumber salad which was very tasty. All the portion size was plenty and worth the money. However, everything did need more flavor including the bbq shrimp and catfish strips.

Yelp
I would actually give this place 4.5 stars. We stopped in while on a recent weekend visit to Charlotte. After reading other reviews, we decided to try, and it did not disappoint We made a reservation, which I would highly recommend. The only time available when we booked was 4:30. When we arrived, we thought we didn't really need the reservation, but when we left an hour later, it was packed. Not an empty seat in the house. There were excellent southern dishes to choose from. I had the pork chop with mashed potatoes and greens. It was everything I hoped for. My wife, who is not typically a fried fish person, got the pecan crusted fried catfish and said it was the best catfish she ever had. I snuck a bite and had to agree it was one of the best I've ever had, too. We added a side of Mac and cheese, because why not, and it was excellent. They serve warm corn bread to start. Beware, it's so good you'll fill up on that if you're not careful. If you can make a reservation, I say get here and give it a shot.
google avatar

Sara R.

Yelp
Good food! Relaxing fun atmosphere. Cute decor. Service was nice. I got the pecan crusted catfish and it was delicious. The beans were a little under cooked. The mashed potatoes were a little sticky. Overall the fish was great though. The key lime pie was good but a bit too overly sweet. Also it had a layer of green on top, which I didn't like. Why the food dye? I'd return to try their brunch!
google avatar

Candice H.

Yelp
Great service, fresh food. The only thing missing is seasoning. I was so hopeful after the barbecued shrimp- well-seasoned and very flavorful. The pecan catfish was perfectly crispy, hot, fried to order and ... disappointingly bland. Even the sauce on top added nothing. "Gulf coast" catfish is seasoned. The batter and the filets. I brought salt and salted everything heavily, but it wasn't enough to save it. The ambience was very nice and Jay was a great server, though. Bring your Tony Chacheres

Yelp
This place had very good reviews but for us it was a bust! We had a reservation so we were able to be seated however the server was inattentive. We had to keep asking for simple things when we received our food. The ambiance was beautiful, the food was okay. It wasn't hot and we had to have it corrected.

Yelp
I was visiting the area for business and knew I was going to be dining with colleagues the whole visit, but just for fun during my first night in town I went on Yelp to look up restaurants I should visit. Southern Pecan came up and I checked it out, wishing I was here for pleasure so I could check it out, but much to my surprise a few colleagues invited us out the next night and suggested SOUTHERN PECAN! The restaurant is situated in a beautiful restaurant and retail area and we were warmly greeted and brought to a booth. The ONLY thing I didn't love was having four of us squishing into the booth, but other than that it was fantastic. I started with a sweet tea, because while some other members of our party had cocktails. Our server brought over warm cornbread that was somehow equal parts sweet and savory, with kernels of corn throughout. For appetizers we ordered the Parmesan oysters and the BBQ shrimp. I would have chosen the pimento cheese, but my coworkers are seafood lovers so I went with the flow. Both the oysters and shrimp were served with crusty bread to sop up the sauce. Since I was dining with a bunch of guys, I didn't try any of the bread, but they seemed to enjoy it. For my entree I tried the chicken fried steak with creamy gravy, mashed potatoes, and green beans. Everything was seasoned to perfection and decadent. This is what I imagined good southern food to be despite having it elsewhere and it not living up to the hype. I was so full but still would have loved to try dessert, especially the seasonal cobbler, if my husband was there to share with me but since he wasn't I declined. My colleagues shared the creme brûlée cheesecake and seemed to love it. I usually am great at taking food photos but since this was a business dinner I kept my phone in my purse regrettably. Looking forward to coming back the next time I'm in town.

Yelp
Amazing. The ambiance is perfect, the service is some of the best I've ever had. The food is incredible. 5/5 experience. I had the pecan crusted catfish and all the sides were amazing. My boyfriend had some sort of pulled pork bbq (can't remember now) also great. We don't live in Charlotte but are eager to come again when we're back!

Tamela A.

Yelp
The southern pecan has good food and good portions, although the constant blues music playing can make you a little sad lol but overall the service was great!

Yelp
I met friends here for lunch and we were disappointed. The food was bland. That was the general feeling about the food from the people in my party. The service was good and the ambiance was good
google avatar

Gina W.

Yelp
Visiting the area and stopped in for a late lunch. As we walked in we were warmly greeted by the hostess. There is a big bar, lots of windows and we liked the music theme throughout the restaurant. Our server greeted us with a glass of water and big smile. She was helpful with menu items we asked about. We both enjoyed a very tasty local brown ale and opted for the creamy tomato soup and kale salad. They were both delicious and the cornbread was a nice treat. It paired well with the soup. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Everything was fresh and delicious.

Yelp
The name itself pulled me in!! My daughter and I raced to Charlotte (in traffic) with reservations...before a flight...to the southern pecan. What an experience!!! The menu is one thing, but the food passing by...how could we decide. Everything looked delicious!! We met a couple close by and shared stories and talked about all the amazing things to try. The catfish!!! The fried chicken!!! The mashed potatoes...everything...delicious!!!

Yelp
Parking - There is complimentary valet parking available, but the parking lot also has plenty of parking. Ari was our waiter. Apparently today is just her second day on the floor, but she did a great job! I ordered the quail wings for an appetizer and the redfish entree with a side of broccolini. The quail wings were good. The skin was seasoned well. The bread is the star of this app honestly. It came with a sauce that isnt needed at all because the oil at the bottom of the bowl did what needed to be done. If you love a garlicky taste, GET THE BROCCOLINI. It was hands down my favorite part and that's saying a lot because I liked everything I ordered. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Perfectly. The redfish was also amazing. It was perfectly seasoned and cooked as well. The sauce it comes covered in was incredible. *chef's kiss*. The only reason it wasnt my favorite dish is because I could've done without the red beans & rice. I didn't love or hate them. It doesn't seem like they are prepared with the same level of TLC as everything ordered. I didnt have room for dessert unfortunately, but I certainly plan to return and explore more of the menu! I only have partial pictures because I ate a little bit first just come try the food.

Yelp
The service was amazing. Great recommendations by our server Tony P. The mango mojito mocktail was delicious. We started with the deviled eggs and they were a great starter. The breaded Catfish and braised short rib were packed with flavor! The ribs were cooked to perfection. The fish with encrusted pecans was a new flavor profile that I will be returning for. We ended the night with a special birthday cobbler. I also enjoyed the background music that was at the right level that did not interfere with our conversation. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Yelp
My first visit to Charlotte & this restaurant I bookmarked to try for brunch. I had a facial about 10mins away and thought brunch after would be great for my Sunday funday activities. I sat at the bar and was immediately greeted and brought water, the service overall was above average. Although one lady in particular served me, 2 other ppl came by to ask if I needed anything. I also asked for recommendations and that lead me to order the shrimp and grits and a side of catfish. The food was delicious, grits creamy and flavorful with a yummy gravy on top. Catfish perfectly fried and seasoned. I had a nice whiskey cocktail and a beer. The prices are fair for the portions and the place was pretty busy so it seems they're doing things right. The bathroom was also very clean. I'd for sure come again and try something new.
google avatar

Chris L.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with family. The atmosphere is upbeat and intimate like a modern American restaurant but with traditional southern food with a twist here and there. My favorite by far was the pimento cheese. We got it warm. Servers were nice and well and staff seemed very genuine.
google avatar

Na'Shota L.

Yelp
1st I want to say that Essence and Rose knocked it out being our servers! If it was not for them, it would be at 3 stars (A ok). We had dinner in the private space and all went well. Music, attention to our needs, drinks, etc. I took a star away because the floor was sticky in some spots, the food lacked seasoning, and all of the menus need a good cleaning.

Yelp
It was amazing! I was recently in Charlotte for a conference and three of my colleagues and I went here for dinner! I found it on Yelp and the food looked amazing! They did not disappoint! We ordered the deviled eggs which were delicious then I had the catfish dinner with sweet potatoes and collard greens it was so good! The catfish was crispy and flavorful the greens were good the sweet potatoes were delicious then we ordered a side of mac and cheese because you just got to do that! And it was delicious it did not disappoint at all! You know most places don't know how to make mac and cheese or it tastes like it came out of a box or it's too dry or it's just not where it needs to be! Not this mac and cheese it was delicious they did a fantastic job! My girlfriend had shrimp and grits that was just out of this world it was a big bowl of it so she was like oh my God but it was delicious my other friend had the chicken and how flavorful that chicken was was absolutely incredible I wish I could do duplicated I may go home and try but it was absolutely incredible! Needless to say we had four entrees a side dish of mac and cheese and oh the cornbread as well it was hot the butter was soft it was all delicious we all had four cocktails and we split the bill four different ways and it came to $44 each! We were like that was worth double! So if you are looking for a place to go to dinner definitely stop here you will not be disappointed everything was delicious! And we sat outside and it was a beautiful evening in Charlotte! Thank you so much for making our visit to Charlotte a delicious one

Yelp
I had a really good meal at this restaurant recently! I came here for a girls night and left wanting to come back. Our waiter was everything! He was so kind and funny and very helpful. I ended up ordering the catfish meal and a side of mac and cheese. I was not disappointed at all. The food was so good! I will be back!

Yelp
My friend and I stopped by Southern Pecan because I hadn't been in over a year. Sivechi: 7/10, too salty, pretty good still, texture was tuff. Gumbo : 4/10 , a little bland and more robust flavor. A key component missing. Cornbread: "We need 2 more of those " 10/10 Catfish po boy: very well seasoned, and filled with catfish. 8/10 Crembrule vanilla bean cheesecake: 9/10, needs the hard sugar coating. Short rib: 9/10, robust flavor, very tender short rib and mashed potatoes very creamy. Carrots cooked well. Very clean and well lit environment. Overall great experience!! Service was on point, and we didn't have to ask for much.

Yelp
My daughter and I have been looking for a restaurant that isn't your mainstream restaurant and she found The Southern Pecan in SouthPark. The decor from the outside is different than the inside as it gives off a southern vibe but also a western, blues, jazz, country style decor. That's not bad, it's just not consistent. The customer service here is very good; our waiter was attentive, professional and personable. So let's get to the food, I ordered the Oven Roasted Flounder but was able to get it fried with sides of grits and collard greens. The entire meal worked very well together as the flavor of the fish matched the grits and collard greens. I was very impressed with everything. The atmosphere at the time was very relaxed, laid back and comfortable. There weren't many people in the restaurant but I think that when they are at full capacity, the atmosphere will still be nice. Overall, I recommend The Southern Pecan for the food, the atmosphere.

Yelp
Went here for a ladies night and we have been here before. I think their menu has changed since the last time we came here. The restaurant inside has a lot of seating and it's got a western/southern look to it. There is a full bar as well. The service was pretty good and the server did well in answering our questions. The cocktails didn't have a lot of sweet and fruity options but I did enjoy the coconut mango mojito. I ordered the special which was the Louisiana fried flounder with mashed potatoes and baked mac n cheese for $24. The fish was decent, the shrimp was yummy, there was a lot of mashed potatoes which I loved, but my Mac n cheese was a little under baked and I didn't love it as much. I think everyone else was happy with their food and overall it wasn't bad. We will probably come here again.

Yelp
Food was delicious & I was able to sit on back patio easily! I visited on a Wednesday & it's 1/2 off bottles of vino that day! I tried the oysters, Deviled eggs, & the warm pimento cheese dip which was YUMMY! Would definitely return!

Yelp
Made a reservation, but were greeted with, "Are you here celebrating something?" I looked around, and we weren't dressed in appropriately, and it was just brunch... then the waiter asked the same thing. My son and I thought that was a bit strange. The food was ok. We had hushpuppies and the pimiento cheese appetizer to start. Both were fine. The hush puppies combine sweet and savory, which wasn't the best approach in my opinion. My son had the jambalaya, and it was ok. I have the pulled chicken club and it was ok, as well. Nothing remarkable here, if we were local we would likely explore other options.

Yelp
So the restaurant itself has a nice vibe. Staff was very nice, service good. Drinks took a very long time to come out and the gimlets had much too much lime juice. The Bloody Mary was good. Food seemed inconsistent , short rib sandwich was very good , as were the fries. But the eggs Benedicts and grits were bland and not warm when they came out. Dud not seem worth the amount of $$ we spent.

Yelp
Southern comfort meets southern charm. Love the blues vibe. The food was exceptional. Visited Charlotte for the weekend & ate here twice in 2 days. Good food, good drinks & good service.

Yelp
The party room really doesn't have any ambiance. It does have its own restroom which is a plus. It's connected to the restaurant but also has its own door. I enjoyed my shrimp and grits. I'm not a big api eater person and this had just the right Amish t for me. The sauce wasn't broken which so often happens. It was such a large portion I only ate half of it. Definitely need some bread or a roll to sop up the sauce. I was with a group. The servers handled it well including the support checks which is sometimes a challenge.

Yelp
We visited on a Friday and the restaurant was packed. As soon as we entered I was immediately reminded of one of the things I miss about NC...Southern hospitality. The host greeted us with a smile and a few jokes because we didn't have a reservation. The wait was only about 10 minutes. Once seated, our server Tony introduced himself and discussed a few drink and menu options. I ordered the sweet tea and y'all know NC sweet tea ain't nothing but the truth. I think I had about 4 glasses. The food did not disappoint either...fried oysters, catfish, shrimp and grits. Tony was the epitome of a great server and did so with kindness and attentiveness. Really enjoyed the meal and the Southern hospitality. I'll be back!!

Yelp
I've eaten twice here; Sunday brunch and dinner. My friend and I enjoyed a delicious Sunday brunch. The shrimp and grits dish was delicious. I also had Gumbo. The ambience had the feel of warmth and comfort. I will visit again

Yelp
This was my 1st time visiting this restaurant and it was a OK experience. I ordered the Half & Half for lunch with red beans and rice and Mac & cheese. I wasn't impressed with the Mac & cheese at all. It was noodles with a cheesy sauce, but very bland. It was like a boxed mac & cheese. I also ordered a slice of key lime pie- I definitely wouldn't order that again, horrible taste. My drink was a Passion Fruit mimosa. I couldn't taste any Champagne or Prosecco in my drink. It was a watered down fruit punch. The service was great & the ambiance was superb but I want Fantastic food as well.
