"Historically, Downtown Nashville is the farthest thing from a gourmet destination, but Southernaire Market is looking to change all that. This elevated grocery store stocks its shelves with all sorts of artisanal edibles as well as a butcher counter, seafood case, and fresh, locally-sourced produce. Also nice: A small but very good to-go menu (gumbo, salad, panini), and great coffee. "

One of my favorite places to hit during the workweek. They offer 10% off to local business professionals and have great quick hot sandwich’s. Paired with a cool atmosphere and the best sauces in all of Nashville (Black Gold is to die for) this is a solid choice for lunch.

Google
One of my favorite places for lunch. Easy to order and quick to receive. Great on days when I barely have time to run out and get something "to-go". Really good hot sandwiches, great soups even though I usually go with a salad. That said, I like the salad enough to get the same one day after day. Really friendly staff. Also, a great place to pick us steaks for dinner. They do not always have the steaks available and when they do, they are not inexpensive, but they are first rate.

This market is expensive, but the lunch sandwiches are fantastic and they offer a 10% discount to downtown employees. The Cuban sandwich is probably my favorite but they are all good and I usually just go with The Sandwich of the Day. A lot of great people work there as well.

Google
This used to be my favorite place to get a sandwich. Always got the smoked turkey which was delicious. Just got the smoked turkey sandwich for the 1st time post Covid and it was one of the worst sandwiches I have ever had. Turkey was not fresh at all and had no smoke flavor. The sandwich seemed to have a ton of horseradish on it to cover up the fact that the turkey was old and flavorless. I don't know what happened over the past year but I definitely won't be coming back if this is the sandwich quality I can expect

Ordered the Bahn Mi and the Italian, what a surprise! Absolutely delicious! Fresh simple ingredients with tons of flavor, and decent size sandwiches. Great grab and go, definitely recommend.

Google
The lunch options in the deli area are delicious and affordable and a welcome change from the other options around the area. Pro tip: If you work downtown, ask for the downtown workers discount. ... Yes, they know how to pick out the convention goers and tourists. Lol.

Google
My absolute favorite spot for a quick and relatively cheap meal on lunch break. Also has a nice selection of crafted gifts, a full deli, some fresh produce, an array of local craft sodas and beers alike.

Google
Great little corner market with GREAT sandwiches. If you come in with an office badge at lunch you get a 10% discount as well. The food is far better and actually cheaper than my office cafeteria, so I am a frequent customer

Yelp
Food was delicious but service was HORRENDOUS. It seemed like one girl was working and the rest were standing around. As I was stepping up to cashier, two young women just walked up and starting chatting with cashier and then eventually placed their order. They must be friends or work there because then they stepped behind the counter to make their sandwiches. I had a receipt # but their order must have changed my # because it took 12 mins! for the only competent worker to realize my sandwich had been made under a different # than what I had on my receipt.

Yelp
Enjoyed a fairly delicious breakfast sandwich in between flights. Twice the cost of Dunkin, however not necessarily twice as good. No "Thank You" given after I tipped generously. Wow I hate that. If I had known I would have gone someplace else.

Yelp
Decent for quick lunch sandwiches, smoky smell inside because of their cured meats so beware if you have a nice coat on. They also sell little Nashville-themed trinkets, cards, candles, hot sauces, etc if you prefer a more curated travel souvenir. Cashier/order is immediate left, can be confusing to just walk up directly into the deli side if you didn't know! Overall small corner shop, good for both visitors and corporate folks in the area.

Yelp
Best place to grab a quick bite for lunch downtown! They have grab-n-go style sandwiches and salads, but you should really try the sandwich of the day! This one had homemade taziki in it!

Yelp
This review is for the Southernaire Market stand inside of the BNA airport by the Southwest gates. My friend and I's flight back to Chicago was delayed for more than 3 hours on Monday, and I decided to grab a quick bite to eat. The staff were amazing, it's an open kitchen concept, and they were able to make me a sandwich literally in 2 minutes. I ordered a Cuban panini sandwich, though it was a bit pricey -- not surprised because of the airport, but it was worth it. The ingredients tasted fresh, the sandwich was made to order, and it was also a light but filling meal. I do plan on coming back if I'm ever in the airport or in downtown Nashville and see them. I have yet to try their house made chips or their popcorn which I was also curious about but needed to discipline myself. Shortly after I ordered the sandwich and ate at my gate, the Southwest crew at my gate said we were about to board soon. I highly recommend Southernaire Market to anyone in the area looking for a deli sandwich spot with a decent selection.

Yelp
Took a group of 15 to the restaurant for a business dinner. The ambiance was great and we had our own space. The decor, the corner location, food and service were all top notch.

Yelp
This was a very chick place to visit. They had a very good selection of hot sauce. I definitely was able to see the country music influence here.

Yelp
With a 10 hour wait at the airport due to plane trouble this was my lunch selection and I was pleasantly surprised. It's way expensive, which is why it gets four stars and not 5. The sandwich was excellent, I had the turkey and it was a quality turkey sandwich and I should know...I get turkey a lot. The turkey seemed to be very high quality deli meat. Some turkey is tasteless but not this...It tasted great. Once you add chips and a drink you will be over $20 to eat it though and that seems a little ridiculous (not even including tip). I would go again but making chips part of the meal (or much cheaper than $4 for a small bag) would make this place an awesome choice, I highly recommend the food but recommend deep pockets.

Yelp
Ever been to The Southern? Loved the steak you had? They get them from the connected meat market, Southernaire! The staff is incredibly helpful and will take their time to make sure you get what you're looking for. Best meat market within 15 miles of downtown. Pro Tip: call before going as they are often closed due to catering.

Yelp
Southernaire has always been one of my Grubhub Go-tos. This is why I was disappointed and completely disgusted to find this rotten potato in my potato salad. I don't understand how you can miss something like that. Now every time I think of Southernaire Market I will get sick to my stomach.

Yelp
PRIVATE EVENT REVIEW: Southernaire was the bomb. They shut down the market and turn it into a restaurant which ended up being awesome. Fixed menu was lovely, the wine choices were solid, and the service was stellar. Highly recommended if you're planning a group dinner / event in Nashville.

Yelp
I dined here during a private event and the food was fantastic! Guests chose from a pre-set menu, plus there was a little bar set up to serve beer and wine before dinner. The starter salad was nothing memorable, but the entree and dessert were both standouts. I had the fried chicken over penne pasta with an alfredo-type sauce and greens. I don't know what type of greens were used and how the greens were seasoned, but something about them really brought the dish together and made me crave more. After I stuffed myself with the entree, the dessert came out and I stuffed myself even more! I ordered the strawberry rhubarb cake, which was so delicious that I couldn't stop eating it. Others in my group raved about this dessert as well so I know it wasn't just me. If you ever have the opportunity to eat this dessert at Southernaire, get it! All in all, it was an extremely good meal and I couldn't have been more satisfied afterwards.

Yelp
By far, the best sandwich options for lunch in downtown Nashville. Their beer selection was curated by a beer lover for there is something for everyone. Their produce section is a lifesaver for last minute needs. Need some ibuprofen, they got it. It is a modern day Totsem store in the heart of Sobro specifically located on the corner of the Pinnacle Bank building. If you are visiting Nashville and wondering where to pick up all those last minute things you need, this is the store for you. Their retail items also make perfect gifts to take back home with you. It lives up to its name. It is Southern for sure and this Elite Yelper goes there daily!

Yelp
Well well, Nashville has a new market and it is divine! As soon as you walk in, you are welcomed with hospitality, surrounded by great local/regional products and produce and hit with the alluring smell of food! At first, I was reluctant to order the House Made Mozzarella Panini because it was $8 alone, but it was SO worth it! I will definitely be ordering many more in the future! They don't have much seating, but there are a few stools along one of their windows that was great for a quick bite. All to say, I will be back! *The market has select products and produce, which is great, but it's not the cheapest place to go stock up. If you just need a few things, maybe a quick gift, this place is a great solution!

Yelp
Cute market close to our hotel. Ordered a Caesar salad to go. It had a nice e selection of beverages also.

Yelp
Great sandwiches male staff is not friendly at all this has been my 4th visit. They also don't bother to make any efforts to accommodate the customers. They basically do the bare minimum while appearing not to like or appreciate their jobs. The attitude is consistent. Bummer because this place could be 5 stars and amazing! Probably won't return where my business doesn't seem appreciated.

Yelp
I eat here regularly and have never had a bad experience. Everything is fresh and the staff is courteous. 5 stars, no questions.

Yelp
This place is fantastic. Best Filet Mignon steaks around. We live across the street & it's so convenient getting our steak here & a choice of vegetable. They have so many great products too. Sauces, rubs, beer - everything you need - or didn't even think you needed. Everyone that works there are so gracious too. Love it - our go to place. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Overpriced and not worth it. I paid $5 for their soup of the day, which was watery black bean soup with a few pieces of sausage thrown in. The market area where the food is is dark and dingy. So disappointing!
