The coconut curry fried chicken sandwich was fantastic! Definitely needs to be on the permanent menu, if not I guess I’ll just have to make that drive to Metairie! Service was also awesome! Not only did she navigate us how to order but she then checked on us after we ordered and followed up a third time. I think I have a new lunch spot!

Tonight, I had the pleasure of trying Southerns for the first time! It was an amazing experience. As soon as I walked through the doors I was greeted by the friendly staff. They were extremely helpful in helping me make a decision on what I should try out first! We got our food quickly and it was all really fresh and delicious! Would highly recommend to anyone who hasn’t yet tried it out! The owner even stopped in to check on us which I thought was a really nice touch! We will now be frequent flyers!!

Absolutely obsessed with Southerns!! Everything I tried was incredible. The tender chicken sandwich, the thigh chicken sandwich, and the burger were all packed with flavor. My go-to is the spicy, but be ready for some real heat if you go any spicier. Even the just "mild" chicken is seasoned perfectly. The pickles and honey mustard sauce are amazing and all homemade. The fries were also cooked to perfection. The service is great, staff is friendly, and this is officially my new go-to place to eat!!

Food was great. Staff was super friendly. Service was fast and on point. Resturant was clean and organized. Now I feel for what it is my ticket was a tad pricey. $43 for two meals and an order of chicken cracklings is a tad steap for some. Maybe offer a few more meal options that include fries and drink.

From food truck to Metairie to the Northshore, Southerns is taking over SE Louisiana! Their new Hammond location has ample indoor seating, friendly staff, and the same delicious quality Southerns is known for. Turn around was about eight minutes, which was fast considering each meal is made to order. The classic chicken sandwich is always a staple, whether with fries or cracklins, but the queso burger was great without being overly spicy. Large portions allowed for a to-go box and leftovers

I recently visited Southerns, and it was an amazing experience! The food was incredibly fresh and had that perfect homestyle cooking vibe. I had a chicken tender meal and a burger, and both were absolutely delicious with generous portions. I’m definitely going back for more! Staff was super friendly!

SOUTHERNS in Hammond LA, first time here!! Will definitely be back! The service was amazing! Shout out to Georgia!! The food was beyond what we had hoped for! The flavors!! We got a smash burger and chicken sandwich, along with chicken and pork cracklin! Best I’ve had!! So tender!! We also tried all of the sauces! Must try the sauces!! Over all a 10/10 experience for us! Super nice place! Check it out! You won’t leave disappointed!

We got the Southerns Original Chicken Sandwich with fries (One Mild & One Spicy). We also got honey mustard (home made in house) to dip the fries in. The chicken sandwich is actually made with thigh meat and is a great choice. It makes for a juicy tender sandwich. Fries are seasoned to perfection. The honey mustard is definitely in my top 5, possibly top 2, that I've ever had. Highly recommend. Service was excellent. Girls at the counter were very informative and excellent help.

First visit was very good. I went out on a limb and tried the FISH sandwich on the first visit. It is CATFISH. It is seasoned well; great flavor. CHICKEN sandwich was big. Great sandwich and tasty chicken!! Fries were seasoned and hot. I am pleased with my first visit which was for dinner at night. Second visit was only a couple days later for lunch. This time I had the original CHICKEN sandwich. I usually hate cole slaw, but I will tell you I ate this slaw up on the sandwich, something I never do - because this slaw is great and the taste was awesome. Chicken was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Chicken Tenders meal was awesome. The seasoning is awesome! Atmosphere - fine Service - fine I will start with a solid 4 stars since its the first visit and I will look for consistency to bump to 5, which I expect to do. I have no issue with the food. Only critique - the prices are high. Fries and drink do NOT come with entree orders except the tenders meal which appears to be best value along with burger deal. VALUE - I believe that for the quality and consistency to be had here, that an argument can be made in favor of maintaining this pricing level. Personally, however, I believe it's a bit overpriced and they should try a combo option. Price is a tough sell because for 3 people you can easily run $55 for a lunch. To offset this I will just curb how much we go! Overall: Glad Southern's is here! Food is great. Go give them a try! It is worth it!

Heard great things about this new business, so I decided to give it a try for lunch one day. While it was busy, the line moved quickly. Employees were nice. We dined in and the food was brought to the table. I enjoyed my fresh well seasoned chicken sandwich. My party throughly enjoyed their burger and the chicken cracklin was amazing. I can see myself returning to this establishment.

Yes, I gave the place a measly two stars out of five. The food was acceptable and about like what's available in any fast food place. The seating was pinched . Honestly.....ketchup packets? And an extra charge for a couple tablespoons of chicken sauce? The worst part was the NOISE. This is like eating in a noisy middle school cafeteria !! The building was not engineered or constructed to be even acceptably quiet enough to carry on a simple conversation across the table. The NOISY wooden chairs being moved around the floor added to the din. No thanks. For the same price there are a dozen or more places within a half mile radius serving the same thing at the same price and doing so with a little ATMOSPHERE and far less NOISE.

First time trying this place. First off, the people working there are outstanding. Very friendly and it seems they genuinely enjoy working there. We ordered the chicken thigh sandwich, fries and the original crackin side. I didn't care for the cracklings, but that's just my personal taste buds. The chicken sandwich and fries were really great. I don't think that I've ever had a fried chicken thigh sandwich from any place. It's about a 40 minutes drive from my house, so unless I'm in the area, I'll have to hope they build a place near me.

New location that recently opened in Hammond. I'd heard great things so went in to try it. We ordered the Prince Chicken Sandwich, a double smash burger, 2 fries & 2 drinks. Bill was basically $40.00. The burger looked delicious and was good. But I venture to say it would have been better if it had been hot. The fries were hot and good. The chicken sandwich was not as exciting as the hype. It wasn't bad, just "good". Nothing overly new, different, or over the top delicious. I'd honestly say the burger was more of a surprise. The service was a little slow, as only one person was taking orders at the counter. But he was friendly and helpful. He also tried to sell us more items from the menu. I Wasn't a fan of the "burger sauce" so I asked for mayo and was told "we have some today. But not every day". I also Got a side of the puket sauce (hope I spelled that correctly) , to eat with my fries and liked it. Over all, if you wanna drop 20 bucks on a different chicken sandwich or burger and fixings, go check it out. It's new to the area and you just might like it. Oh, there is one size drink, and fries must be ordered separate. See pics for the amount you get with an order.

Run! Don't walk to this restaurant. The chicken is hot and ready and is delicious!!! It's a plus they carry Coca Cola products as well. Place is very clean.

I can't even explain how good the food is!! The flavor combinations and juiciness of the chicken is second to none. A VERY unexpected surprise in the best way!!

Georgia was working the counter and service was very good. Food was also very good. Will be going back.
