Absolutely a great experience! They go Above and Beyond in service and hospitality. Everyone from the moment you arrive until you’re driving off is there to make sure you have a wonderful Tim.

Just need to echo what other people have said. This is a great place. We have been trying for years to get on this private and exclusive club and though some luck and help, we were able to WE have played all the others vacate, and Shadow and such, this easily ranks with them. The ouse is a great course. Challenging without being stupid, in great condition, and fun. The holes are all enjoyable to play and condition was great. It is expensive, but well worth it. they only have a small number of members so the course was quiet. we feel very fortunate to have been allowed to play here. It was special.

Fabulous club with amazing amenities and service. Top notch dining and fabulous parties and a Jack Nicholas award winning golf course, Health club facilities, pool heated year round, restaurants, wedding and party facilities and planning, private beach, kayaking, paddle boards, and so much more. Update: So the club was sold and the general manager was replaced. I hadn't been there to eat since the change, so I went for brunch and ordered Eggs Benedict, one of my favorites and a dish I have ordered there before, and it was great. I love the club and I hate to say this because it's sad, but the dining room was filthy dirty. My eggs Benedict came out served with hashbrowns but both were unrecognizable. The eggs looked like they were cover in a red BBQ sauce which I was told was paprika and there was no Hollandaise sauce that you could see. The Canadian bacon looked under cooked the egg was hard. The hashbrowns were grey. I don't mean slightly, but tuned them over and they were a slimy grey color and consistency. It was so incredibly gross I was afraid to even try a bite of any of it. This was on May 7th. Sunday brunch. I am so sad. I am hoping it was a one off but I had to update my review as it was not at all how I previously described it. I will update again the next time I go there which members are required to purchase a certain amount of dining per year so I guess the new owner figures he will get paid whether the food is good or not?? idk?? Very disappointed.

Probably the nicest course I have played in Nevada. It's pricey, but worth it. Here's a tip stay at the westin hotel nearby to get a discount.

I'm now 45 yrs old. It's unbelievable to see how beautiful this area has turned out. I helped build the first sets of boat docks across from the gulf course over 20 something yrs ago. I watched the gulf course being finished as well. Working unrolled extension cords before sun up and rolling them up after sun down 7 days per week for months. My son is now 13 years old. I can't wait to some day get a chance to take him and show him in person what dad took a small part in. Amazing.

I enjoyed a lovely lunch @SouthShore Country Club today. Fourteen people in our party each with a separate order and zero mishaps! All of our food came out at the same time & looked fabulous. I ordered a shrimp cocktail, Salmon and asparagus (replaced the mashed potato's) with a side salad - everything was excellent and cooked perfectly! My daughter enjoyed her coconut shrimp & sweet potato fries. Service was seamless.

Great servers! They make you feel at home. Great food as well. I tried the crab legs, and they were cooked perfectly!

Beautiful, amazing and difficult golf course! All the rumors are true, this course boasts some of the hardest holes in town and some of the most breathtaking. I was told to bring an extra box of balls just in case. This is a good idea as here are numerous water hazards and some deep canyons you will not even think about lookin for your ball in. Upon arrival, a cart pulled up to collect our clubs for us. The pleasant staff was very helpful. We went to the range and there were golf racks to rest your clubs against and a small golf bag full of gold balls and a big bucket of golf tees. We loaded up with drinks from the clubhouse and began our round. I took numerous photos to show the holes and approaches. After 9, we met back at the club house and they refilled the ice in our coolers and changed the wet golf towels. We loaded up with more drinks and prepared for the back 9. These holes were amazing and at 17 and 18 we met some big horn sheep! Waterfalls, babbling brooks, long forced carries, iPad golf caddies in each golf cart and a few birdies in our group are just some of the experiences we had. Afterwards we enjoyed a couple beverages in the clubhouse and talked about some of the holes. I didn't burn through a hole box of golf balls, but I was glad I had extras. Beautiful day of un-rushed golf on this private club. Definitely 5 stars for South Shore at Lake Las Vegas! Enjoy some of the breathe taking photos and if you get a chance, play this course!

My husband and I joined SouthShore this summer. What a wonderful golf club! First off, the people are just marvelous, both members and employees. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. The golf professionals give great lessons. Very good practice facility. Well stocked pro shop. The course is challenging, beautiful and in terrific shape. The pace of play is excellent. Very good food. When we are here playing golf we are in our happy place. We played at a lot of Vegas area courses before joining here, nothing is as nice as SouthShore. As an added bonus, there are big horn sheep. The views of the lake are gorgeous.

The course is in generally good condition, but overall we were disappointed. The clubhouse is standard and underwhelming. There were several tourists here from the local hotels that were acting loudly and ruined the mood. They were taking photos and talking on the phone (no phones policy was clearly not enforced). There also seemed to be no mask policy when we were there - many guests were not wearing masks. We won't return and there are far better courses in Southern Nevada.

Just had lunch at the restaurant and it was very good. Quality of food was great and the prices were great. View of LLV and golf course made lunch extra special. Service was good. Try their Caesar salad and Ruben sandwich. Yummy!!! We will be joining the club after this experience.

Amazing carry out meals during COVID-19 and today's family friendly multi course butler style buffet was out of this world! They have had to rearrange tables and take reservation and follow mask guidelines but that has NOT affect service and quality! What a great place to relax and enjoy a meal or drink after golf!

The golf course is outstanding - world-class greens - and the service is even better. Everything from the time you walk in and are greeted by name as your golf cart is being readied, to the last beer you enjoy after the round, is a first-class experience. We have seen bighorn sheep while playing the 17th and 18th holes. Incredible! Some famous golfers call it the best finishing holes in the world, but we think the entire course is outstanding.

If looking for the perfect wedding venue, look no further! The SouthShore Country Club at Lake Las Vegas has all the makings for a memorable event: picturesque landscape, amazing food, great space, and beyond professional staff. I started planning my wedding over a year out and Danielle was there for me every step of the way. From touring the venue to knee jerk changes minutes before I walked down the aisle, she went above and beyond to make sure I was a happy bride. I am forever indebted to her for her professionalism and genuine kindness. I truthfully do not remember much from my wedding but EVERYONE made it a point to tell me how good the food and drinks were. Amidst the beginning stages of the US being hit with COVID-19 the staff made changes to include: putting their own hand sanitizers out, and serving everyone food from the buffet. They never showed any signs of being disgruntled and took very good care to make sure my husband and I had all we needed and ate! I could go on and on about why I love this place. If you are looking for a place that will give you your money's worth I'd definitely say to contact Danielle Kirschner and start planning today!

My wife and I are getting a second home in Lake Las Vegas and we have had the most wonderful and welcoming experience with Laurie. We're excited to be members of SouthShore for many years to come!

We have been social members since 2013 and upped our membership to a golf membership in 2019. We live in SouthShore but this club is home away from home for us. We have met and keep meeting great friends. THE STAFF ARE OUTSTANDING - NOT ENOUGH WONDERFUL WORDS TO SAY ABOUT THEM. The golf course and amenities are impressive and it is a best place to golf and spend time with family and friends. I just wish I could golf more as I am still working for a living!! Come and check it out - it is worth the membership!

I'm posting this because I don't want anyone else to go through what I went through. I was supposed to get married September of 2020 but because of COVID and state restrictions we were not able to have the wedding we signed a contract for at South Shore Country Club. We read through the contract and realized we could get our money back. We spoke with the wedding people and they started giving us incorrect information hoping we wouldn't look into it and giving us incorrect definitions for the details of our contract. Long story short, it wasn't until after we consulted with friends who were lawyers and told South Shore that we would be going through with lawyers, that they agreed we were right and gave us 100% of our money back. South Shore did offer to hold a smaller wedding in September of 2020 or a different date in 2021 but that didn't work for us. So I hope this helps any couples out there who were told they couldn't get their money back due to certain terms of their contract. Read it over and do your own research. Don't go off of what they tell you. We were told for months that we couldn't get our money back but we kept trying because we understood the terms of the contract.

Beautiful golf course overlooking Lake Las Vegas in an upscale private community. We stayed at the Westin Lake Las Vegas and as a guest there you could play golf here as a member for the day which we really enjoyed. They have a restaurant on the top floor with a spectacular view of the course and the Lake. We booked through our concierge and had a tee time of 930 am we showed up a little early to have breakfast my daughter had the pancakes and I had a fruit plate. Everything was good and the service was also excellent. Since it is a private community it's very difficult to get in past security but once in you get see how rich folk live in Vegas. I hear Celine Dion lives here and one of the Jackson brothers too this course was designed by the great Jack Nicklaus and have to say its a very tough course with water obstacles in every direction but very beautiful.

An amazing course to play located next to Lake Las Vegas. SouthShore is a Jack Nicklaus Signature Course with lots of bunkers protecting the greens. The views are spectacular. If you get a chance to play this course, don't pass it up (like two of my golfing buddies did).

Great Country Club in an undeserving setting. South Shore in Lake Las Vegas is run by a very dictatorial HOA committed to creating an urban forest, whatever that is. If you purchase a home with a great view as we did many years ago, for a premium price , they will arbitrarily allow trees to eventually impair that view with a lack of maintenance in the common area. Now with over five million dollars in the bank ,they refuse to spend a dime mitigating view impairment. BUT, they just came up with a solution. You may, maybe, with their permission, at your cost, (several thousands of dollars) remove and replace the offending trees. Talk about an inane solution!.......and this after paying a stiff monthly maintenance fee for these services! Further, they refuse to remove a beetle infested tree on our street which will eventually kill other healthy trees and shrubs. Right now, you would have to be mentally deficient to purchase a home in any of the projects in Lake Las Vegas as all the projects disallow any view impairment rules. THIS POST IS INTENDED AS A WARNING TO POTENTIAL BUYERS. It will elicit all sorts of defenders of the community. Just read the CC&Rs prior to purchase for any of the new and older projects. The truth speaks for itself! Other than that, its a great place to live, just be aware of the problems you might eventually face, should they be important to your pocket book.

the private course is still open, just played it 09/09/10,,but yes most of the area is closed or seems like it is closed to the lack of customers/players/hotel guest at Loew's?? The course was in not so good shape ,but it is summer and I think they are getting ready to overseed or close the golf course??? Greens were slower than expected? And they do not let you drive and park at the golf course unless you are a member,so be there early from the loew's hotel to get shuttle to course...the scenery was neat,but the staff was not so helpful,due to a shotgun tournament, no food was able to be ordered,so of course chips and candy bars are your only source of food to go??? I guess they did not want to make any money on sandwiches or something better to eat... Lucky for us that the bbq afterwards was well worth it..

My experience with this venue has been extremely pleasant thus far. My Wedding is next year October 2020. I have been working with Danielle Kirschner and she is lovely to say to least. My family and I came out from Chicago to check this venue out and she took her time and explained everything thoroughly and made me feel secure with my decision. She even answers my Sunday 10:00pm text, communication is key. Danielle on behalf of The Lake Club is doing a fabulous job! Thank you and I am so excited to continue working with you!
