Delicious cheese burger with fries, Philly Steak Sandwichs, Wings and more at this spot. Been eating here since 2018, glad to see back open, still great, and actually better than ever. Also my go to spot if I ever need phone or electronics repair efficiently and a great price too.

Places like this usually have the best food and boy is this place good! My fiance and I live down the block and this place is usually busy so wanted to see what the deal was and it did not disappoint. I got the meat lovers cheesesteak which was huge and cheesy my fiancé order the chicken wings and jumbo shrimp basket and they were both top notch my only recommendation is placing your order over the phone and picking it up since it can be packed at times. Keep up the good work I’m happy to see business like this still exist in south Minneapolis very clean and tidy.

Good customer service but don’t buy their cannabis products. The prices are changing constantly and I’ve been sold product that’s been opened already. Save your money and go somewhere else

one of the worst customer services I've ever encountered the cashier tried to charge 18 dollars for a 12 "Italian beef meal but the ad on the window said 14.99 when I pointed that out to him and said I'll just get a 6 inch Italian beef alone he gave me a gyro sandwich with no fries for 12.99 I've never paid that much for a gyro sandwich with no fries or drink I'll never go back there

they are so welcoming!! i ordered a burger & quite honestly it was the best burger I have ever had! the store was one of the cleanest & most organized places around! if you're in the area, they are definitely worth a stop!

Ci gets in the car and tells me we have to go to this deli and get a steak and cheese sub. She has been rehearsing for a show on Chicago Avenue in Minneapolis and some kids had let her taste some food from the deli. Our first time, and yes, our first time, because we have gone every day since...Oink Oink!!. Ci had the Gyro cheese fries and I had a gyro. I am not kidding when I tell you I picked off meat and ate for about ten minutes just to get the gyro wrap to close. It was crazy how much meat was in this baby. The Gyro was amazing. I did not care for the thin sauce, however, as it made it a little soggy, so next time, I am getting the sauce on the side and it will be Purrrfect! I tasted the Gyro cheese fries and those were addicting in a heart attack in a Styrofoam box kind of way. The next day, Ci had gotten a foot long Steak and Cheese sub and she was kind enough to save the last few bites for me so I could taste. I was so so happy she had the strength to stop eating it so I could have a few bites!! I am sure it was really really hard to stop eating that delicious, cheesy, beef filled hoagie. I am heading there tomorrow to get that! I think everything they have is good if you like that kind of food. The outside is a little sketch, the hood is not good, but go on in, and you will see how many people are in that little cramped store ordering Gyros, subs, and more!

This is actually pretty good!! I used to come here often years ago for gyros and philly steaks. A friend of mine told me about the meat lovers, so being the foodie I am, I had to try it!! The bun is HUGE, but amazingly soft. It comes with italian beef, gyro meat, grilled onions, spicy giardiniera (optional, but I did like it!), banana peppers (I omitted), mayo, and cheese sauce, all for a total of $10.72!! You can't get this much steak, for this price! The bad thing which stopped me from giving 5 stars is that the italian beef au jus was not poured on top, as requested. I never did see/taste any mayo, and there was barely any cheese. That part sucked, BIG TIME, because I KNEW the flavors would make the sandwich EXCEPTIONAL!! Maybe next time I will have to say "EXTRA cheese and mayo, please!!" Regardless, there is something for everyone! Check them out!!

I never went in during the years I lived in Minneapolis because, well, it looks kind of scary. And it doesn't really get any better inside. But man o' man, the meat lovers sammy here fed me for three solid days. I was tempted to go weight it before eat; it must weight almost 3 pounds. Though relatively expensive to other sandwiches elsewhere, and taking a little longer (because they actually cook it to order), it's worth it. There's no meaner sammy in the Twin Cities.

This place has the best subs I've ever had. I'm not one to go out of my way and buy a sub but for south side food & deli, I definitely do! The meat lovers is my favorite, I usually ask the chef to butter my bread and add bbq on top. It's heaven. My second favorite is the Chicago style sub with the philly cheese steak taking third place. The prices went up but with the amount of time you get the chef cooking your food and knowing that your meat is freshly cooked, it's so worth the wait.

This was my first time eating from this deli and might I say I was absolutely satisfied with my Gyro, been on the search for an good place, and think that I might have found it! Had the Gyro combo with fries, the gyro was filled to the max with meat, I would say there was way to many onions to be on one sandwich, so the next time I ordered it with the all vegetables and sauce on the side and it was delicious! This is officially my new gyro spot, Highly recommended!

Hello, I went to Southside Deli on 8/7/14. I ordered the chicken wings whole. I had to ask the cook not to fry the wings for too long but they were the BEST wings I have had in LONG TIME!!!! They were not too expensive and they could have used a little more Lawry's Seasoned Salt but other than that, they were GOOD! Go to Southside Deli. You will not be disappointed!

I was born and raised in the greater Philly area. I have never had a better cheese steak outside of Philly itself. If you've got the craving I get, Southside Deli will provide you with what you need! I'm off to get another today.
