Souvla Review - Marina - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Even though it seems like Souvla was invented for the Marina, this is the chain’s first location in the neighborhood. If you've been to another Souvla, you already know what to expect - great lamb wraps, chicken salads, and greek yogurt soft serve that you can take to go. If you need something else to round out your meal, you could get the fries, but they’re nowhere near as good as the potatoes that are roasted in the rotisserie meat drippings." - Will Kamensky

Souvla Review - Nopa - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Souvla’s Nopa location has a big back patio where you can pretend you’re on vacation in the Greek islands. Order at the counter, get some wine while you’re at it, and then sit back and wait for your delicious salad (get the lamb) or gyro." - Taylor Abrams

The food was very tasty, and the portions were great. We ate in and the food barely in the container! The flavour was authentic and the salad had tons of Feta cheese on it. The people working were super friendly and this place is definitely a 5 star.

Really hoping Souvla opens again soon. It was our go-to Greek place. No other Greek place has matched up to Souvla (not even Agora…sorry!) The chicken, tzatziki, salad, rice and wedges were all delicious. Only thing I’d say is would’ve been nice if the beef and lamb skewers were only beef because lamb has such a strong taste, and to be able to order something different for a change from time to time! Please open back up soon!!

I had an excellent time here! Got there at around 6pm on a Sunday and there was no line, I had to wait around 20 minutes to get my food. Food was hot and delicious! The potato wedges, rice, and chicken (dark meat) were amazing. I was surprised that the chicken was kinda shredded and not like a traditional chicken skewer. Will definitely be going back!

Decided to try Souvla on ubereats strictly because it was by Mamakas and I love that place. The feta fries were delicious. They had lots of feta and some of the fries were still crispy when I got my order! Would recommend those. The chicken pita was ok… I have had much better at cheap Greek places in food courts or take out windows on the Danforth. I found the chicken was tender and flavourful but I had some bites of fat and cartilage I had to pull out while chewing. I didn’t enjoy that. I also found there was not enough tzatziki and only one tomato on the whole pita. It’s like the sauce and tomato were only at the top so when you look at the pita it looks amazing but after a couple bites you just get pita. Sneaky sneaky! There were lots of fries on it though if you’re into that. Price was a little steep for portion size but through Ubereats you can always expect it to be more. I’m glad I tried it but based on my experience I only enjoyed the feta fries and would only suggest those.

This pop up location is one of the cities best kept secrets. They serve incredible, authentic souvlaki in a pita or salad box. This is a close as you get to souvlaki served up in Athens or the Greek Islands. They have a small patio out back for guests to enjoy a quick bite. Fantastic place.

Was walking by to another restaurant and stopped in without reading reviews. Would probably echo what others are saying - meat on the spit looks super appetizing and the flavor was great, but the portion was too tiny for $20. There were only like 4 pieces of meat and a mountain of iceberg lettuce. The space is nicely designed though and the layout is awesome for a group

Great spot for classic Greek street food! Went in for lunch and had the delicious kabab on a pita. Came out loaded with tzatziki, onion, tomatoes, and even fries in the wrap! The kabab was so juicy and flavourful! The Greek fries were perfectly crispy and topped with so much feta. My girlfriend got the chicken on a pita with a side salad. Both were delicious. Chicken had a nice smoky charcoal grill flavour and the Greek salad had this amazing dressing to top it off. Great lunch! Friendly staff and nice little spot on Scollard.

We got corporate catering and it was fantastic, a real standout. I really appreciated how communicative and knowledgeable Sarah was leading up to our event. She had great advice on quantities for our group. The food was fresh and flavorful , the delivery process smooth and literally exactly on time to the minute (if you've ever done corporate catering...this is essential). Can't wait to order from them again, a truly great experience!
