Souvlaki Greek Skewers

Google
The food tasted good but the service could get some help. First, you need to get your own water, second you need to ask for knife or for any sauce. The place is clean, the prices are clear. Staffs were polite. There are one bathroom, about 4-5 tables outsides and about 7-8 insides. The parking is very small.

Google
Im no expert having only eaten at 4 or 5 different greek places but this place has the best gyro ive ever tried. Very very good greek food if on the pricier side, i devoured it in a minute flat.

Crystal T.

Google
Great food, didn’t taste too different from the pitas I had in Greece. Char on the meat was nice. The cheapest souvlaki is now $12. Order at the counter and they’ll bring the food to you shortly. Staff are very nice, the decor is cute (fresh flowers on each table and the outdoor seating, plus photos of Athens and Santorini on the walls).

Google
I got the souvlaki skewers special with chicken (chicken skewer with rice, salad and pita) and the greek lemon soup. The salad was amazing, and featured green peppers which I usually don't like - but these were amazing. I don't know what magic they performed but I ate them all instead of picking them out. The soup was so flavorful and tangy, and the chicken was perfectly done and delicious as well. I'm raving about the salad because they got me to enjoy something I usually pick out, but everything else was just as good.

Google
A Hidden Gem Worth Visiting! We were in town for a Water Polo Tournament and decided to take our team here for lunch — and we’re so glad we did! Despite having a large group, the staff accommodated us with no issues and made us feel incredibly welcome. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was exceptional from start to finish. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and truly authentic. My husband and I ordered the gyro combo, and it was fantastic — perfectly seasoned, generous portions, and served hot. If you're looking for a great, authentic spot with friendly service and amazing food, don’t miss out on this little gem. Highly recommend!

Google
This place is amazing! We descended on them with a sports team of 15 boys and their parents for lunch between games. They were friendly and efficient as they accommodated our group. And the food! Fresh, authentic and delicious. A nice change from the sandwich chains where we usually end up. Support this local business - you won’t be sorry!

Google
I have to say that there are lamb skewers were some of the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked, slightly charred, so tender and delicious! The hummus was a little chunkier than I’m used to but it was good. Pita was very fluffy. Lots to like about this little place!

Google
The food places is really tight when it comes to seating. The people were nice and accommodating, the soda machine was out and I had to tell them to change the syrup. Food is a little on the pricier side for what is being offered, but really good. Value for money is the only thing I questioned.

Yelp
What's better at this place, the customer service or the French Fries? Seriously, the best fries are wonderful

Yelp
Best Greek food in the area. Quality is 10/10. What could make it perfect? A frozen Greek yogurt machine!

Yelp
My sister and I used to eat here all the time when I first moved to Willow Glen and we loved it. I have no idea why I stopped eating there. It has been quite a few years. I remembered the chicken was good, so I ordered a chicken gyro and requested the yellow sauce on the side because I had no idea what yellow sauce was and whether or not I'd like it. Also got a little container of tzatziki sauce for .85 cents, which kind of confused me because don't gyros usually come with tzatziki sauce on it? The gyro tasted nothing like what I remembered. The pieces of chicken were dry and flavorless. The slices of tomatoes were thin and lifeless. The pita bread was thick and had a powdery taste. I dumped the tzatziki and the yellow sauce (whatever that is) on the gyro to liven it up to no avail. I think it needed more onions and something else to jazz it up. I was pretty hungry, so I ate the whole thing, but had lots of pita leftover at the end and no chicken. It was disappointing and I don't think I'll be back for a long while. (Finally googled "yellow sauce on a gyro" and it might have actually been tzatziki sauce. How strange. Like the chicken, it had no flavor.)

Yelp
Went here with co workers and food is fresh but the meat serving portions could use a more reasonable pricing :) . We all Arrived and ordered , total of 16 people and we all noticed the protein portions are less than other places for its pricing. My chicken wrap had barely 2 spoons of cut slim and minced chicken and mostly veggies. This is the same on the Gyro on the photo. The slices are paper thin and yes ! Mostly veggies. We understand the small portions but it can use more protein for the price. Place is clean and staff is super friendly but we left feeling hungry hehehee

Yelp
We tried Souvlaki's on a whim when looking for a lighter meal in the area. Maybe we ordered the wrong things, but the food didn't really impress me unfortunately. I came in having higher hopes since it looked good on Yelp. :( My BF and I shared a bowl and an order of spanakopita. The spanakopita was good, though the feta was a bit overpowering. The bowl had their beef skewer meat, but I felt like it lacked flavor and was dried out.

Yelp
Best gyros in the bay and super quick service! Love getting takeout from here and all my family and friends I've introduced to them end up loving this place

Yelp
Had a chance to try Souvlaki's Greek Skewers today and had a really good time. This is a small no frills spot with delicious Greek food with really good flavor. The service is fast and the ambiance is more on the chill side - you order at the front, get a number and the food comes to your table. For food the hubby and I got the Chicken Gyro Wraps. These were flavorful and full of meat and veggies which I really liked. The portions are not super big here, but the food is definitely filling and tasty. We also ordered the Loukamades later for dessert which was crispy dough balls with honey and walnuts I believe. A little sweet for me but the table enjoyed it. Overall we had a great time!

Yelp
we were craving Greek Food but did not want to drive too far, so we settled here. We had gone here before but it was about 8 years ago. The staff is friendly. The wait is a bit on a Friday at 5:30pm. We got an appetizer sampler which consisted of Fiery Feta spread, a hummus, roasted eggplant and taziki with pita. Spanakopita Appetizer and two skewer plate with 2 oz portion of taziki, fries and tomato slices and red onion strips. The sampler was underwhelming for $12. Spanakopita was $8 for four. And it tasted similar to frozen ones from any random supermarket. Skewer plate had good chicken and beef. Fries were good too. The tomatoes and onions looked pretty sad - end pieces that looked like they were cut days ago. All of this for just under $50. I do not plan on going back here. And I was really looking forward to this type of food.
google avatar

Sasha E.

Yelp
Food was tasty, fast, and service was great. Skewers were flavorful and had a nice sear. The zucchini fries were hot and crispy and came with a mustard dipping sauce.
google avatar

Yelp
Solid Greek gyro & tasty Moussaka! Service was fast and friendly. there is plenty of seating inside and outside in a cozy place. We got Moussaka (eggplant, ground beef & potato) kind like lasagna, it was cheesy and flavorful goes well with salad. Gyro salad was also p good but gyro was a bit salty so if we didn't order with salad, might have been too much. If you are looking for healthy but flavorful Greek meal, this would be great place!

Yelp
*Vegetarian Foodie Review* First visit, a hole in the wall, cozy and cute spot! You order at the counter and pay upfront. The person taking the order didn't seem knowledgeable about vegan and vegetarian options. We had to take help of the owner's family who happened to be in the restaurant. We ordered: - Spanikopita: It tasted average but could be amazing from a kid's perspective. Got this for my 4 year old and she finished more than half of it. - Appetizer Special: It comes with Hummus, Tzatziki, Spicy Feta and Melizanosalata (eggplant) along with warm Pita. Pita was warm and the herb seasoning was to die for! Spicy Feta and Tzatziki were my favs. Hummus was honestly okayish, nothing great or unique and Melizanosalata was okayish as well. - Vegetarian Skewer: Got 1 skewer. It tasted yum with the combination of seasonings it came with. We requested hot sauce to go with it. Service was fairly quick. Items came in as they were ready. We will be back to try other dishes on the menu!
google avatar

Stacy A.

Yelp
Came in with my daughter and we shared the 2 skewer plate, it had a skewer of beef and one of lamb with fries and pita and tzatziki plus onion and tomato. I thought the tzatziki was very authentic, the fries were great, and the meat was all very tasty! I would definitely come back and try more things here!
google avatar

Clarizza A.

Yelp
This place is great! I got the chicken gyro souvlaki (4.5/5) and have zero complaints. There's also a chicken souvlaki on their menu and I'm not sure of the difference between the two. The gyro fries (4/5) were just as amazing, especially with the orange sauce they put on top! I just wish there was more on top like maybe some onions. Next time I'd ask for more of that sauce for the chicken gyro because I think it'll make the gyro even better.
google avatar

Alayna K.

Yelp
Relaxed, neighborhood spot! Their three meat combo was filling. Very comfortable and casual ambiance. We enjoyed the beef. The gyro was a little bit too salty. Pita bread and fresh onions were a nice addition. The food was quick and came within 10-15minutes of ordering as it wasn't too busy on weekday.
google avatar

Raymond M.

Yelp
The food and service were good overall. However, I wasn't a fan of the moussaka, as the taste didn't appeal to me. I also didn't enjoy the bifteki because it was burnt. The establishment was clean, which I appreciated, and there was plenty of parking available, although the spaces were a bit tight.

Yelp
A hastily handwritten sign warned there were only chicken and lamb souvlakis and gyros because of a large, last-minute catering event. The owners were pulling together food for a 300 person graduation party for their grandchild. We decided we'd be happy with the limited offerings. The chicken skewers they were grilling looked chunky, juicy, superb but alas, they were for catering. I had the gyro salad; it was alright. The lamb was a bit dry and tzatziki came in tiny little plastic containers. My son had the lamb gyro, it looked basic. Avgolemono was thick, not sour enough and the orzo was too fat sitting in the broth. They gave us a free order of fries and didn't charge us for one soda and discounted another party 20% for the reduced menu, about the same. Two no-no's: They aggressively swept the floor while we ate and there was almost no bath tissue in the bathroom. Because of the extenuating circumstances and overall kindness, I bumped them up from 3.5 stars. And, I'd give this spot another chance especially since they were so kind even under pressure.
google avatar

Freder L.

Yelp
my family frequently orders from here. Usually takeout but is consistently good quality. We like the wraps and the gyro salad. We found the chicken and the lamb not to be as good as the other options. But the other options are great, including the beef loaf wrap, which is unique.

Michelle M.

Yelp
Nice little restaurant. We arrived before the lunch rush, so we had time to look at the menu and select our meals. Our first time here. Soup was absolutely delicious, the hummus was also used in the making of the falafel balls( too soft for me), I did not care for this. We also had a piece of baklava. It was okay. Not very fresh. We took home a lamb skewer, pork and beef skewer to try for our dinner. They were really good
google avatar

Steve A.

Yelp
Have not been here in many years and to my surprise the food is just as good as I remember it so many years back. The Dolmas are fantastic and the lamb full of flavor and tender too. Absolutely I must come back sooner. The prices have basically doubled since the last time I was here. Yet I realize that is just a sign of the current times. This place lives up to a standard that other places don't. If you want great tasting Greek food then this place is the place to go.

Michael S.

Yelp
Food is very good. Lamb skewers are the best in the valley!!! Lemon soup is to die for. Dolmades are excellent!

Yelp
Came here for lunch on a Wednesday evening with coworkers and it was quite busy. Fortunately, we were able to make reservation for a party of 10. Whitney was very helpful over the phone and in person when we're dining there. The restaurant was small, but the food came out fast. They had tables inside and outside with an overhang so there was shade if you were sitting outside. I ordered number one gyro pita combo with a size salad and it came with a drink that was refillable. We also ordered zucchini fries that were shareable. the owner was very nice, she walked around and greeted everyone. She also gave us free loukoumades as a birthday dessert. Overall, it was a good experience, food was good and price was reasonable. The service was quick and workers were friendly. Thank you to Whitney and owner for a good experience. She also told us that they offer catering.

Yelp
We were granted exceptional service and food here. I came here to celebrate my birthday with my friends and it was our first time for most of us, so the cashier was happy to give us recommendations. I ended up with the lamb plate which was the most expensive, but it was a large portion for what it was worth. The skewers were moist and packed with flavor. The fries were toasted well and the vegetables were juicy and still had their natural taste to them along with some spices. The bread on the side was a good touch. They have similar plate options for less that my friends got - you dont have to splurge on this one if you want something similar. I just love how attentive our server was and how plentiful and delicious all of our food was. This is a wonderful mom and pop restaurant with great food and pricing!

Yelp
It's a simple thing but SO good. Our family comes here on the regular for a chicken wrap sandwich. The grilled chicken with the fresh orange wedges in there with Greek yogurt and olive oil and herbs. I don't know what else it's so perfect, every bite. I recently came with a friend who is vegetarian and she immediately read the vegetarian sandwich which was mainly white sweet potato, and she knew she wanted that even though I took her around to all the restaurants in the mall, we came back here and ordered that . Every bite she ate into she kept, "oohing and ahhing." She too, used the phrase we use, "it's just so good every single bite! " We ordered a side of fries, which was my first time as I usually get fries put into my sandwich. Very delicious w/"side of granch" but could not finish them. We also got the olive oil sea salt, soft serve however on this occasion, the sea salt was a lot, and we kept crunching mouthfuls of sea salt, flake -so maybe the person making it was just Not trained properly or didn't realize how strong the thick a mouthful of Fleur du Sel can be. The ambience, of course, is wonderful at the Larkspur Landing Mall with its open air setting, but this restaurant has outdoor seating with cushioned benches and facing out toward watching the mall and sheltered with an awning. Gotta try it if you haven't yet!

Yelp
Was in the area for a wedding and needed a bite for the road home. Came here on a recommendation that they had good wraps. I can appreciate Greek food but am not well versed so let me translate into Mexican what I was looking for... I wanted a burrito not a taco. Anyway, that's not what I found on the menu but that's not on the restaurant... that's on poor communication between my partner and I (LOL). Anyway, once here I went with the chicken pita. In retrospect and looking back at the menu, I don't know if I got the chicken souvlaki or chicken gyro souvlaki. Either way, it was enjoyable. The meat was flavorful enough that I'd give this place another try and hopefully not as rushed for a better sense. Why four and not five stars for me? The chicken was not as juicy as I was hoping and either I wanted more sauce or more evenly spread out sauce... hard to tell as I ate while driving. The fries were a delightful surprise and well seasoned. Something, maybe the chicken or the fries, kept weirdly interacting with my lip/mustache and can't know what to make of that, but like I said, worth a visit. Be advised, it's in a small plaza that is easy to miss. Once found, though, parking is plentiful and staff is friendly. What are you waiting for?
google avatar

Nicole A.

Yelp
I have been going to this restaurant for years now. I placed an order today for a full-size salad, and I couldn't believe how small it was. The full salad used to be a decent size, seems like they changed their portion sizes.. it's the size of a side salad and as you know this place is pricey.
google avatar

Sunnygirl T.

Yelp
Delicious food, atmosphere ultra casual. Few tables inside & outside, ordering line in the middle, self service soda/water. Can be loud & crowded during peak times (ordering line, people standing around waiting for orders etc) but otherwise its dealable. Dont expect private chats at inside tables! Food is delicious so its worth it.
google avatar

Brooke A.

Yelp
A solid fast-casual restaurant with ample seating inside and outside. We came on a Saturday around five, right before the dinner rush, and ordered at the counter. Our food took no longer than ten minutes to come out, and everything was fresh and warm. I was a little disappointed that the salad on the special plate was more onion than anything, but otherwise the food was great - good portions of meat along with crispy, well-seasoned fries and warm pita. I'd definitely come back to try their appetizers. Although they never got too busy, the staff were a bit short with us, but not to the point that I'd consider rude. I noticed a lot of people doing takeout, so that might be what I opt for next time.
google avatar

Mila L.

Yelp
It is a decent place for lunch and affordable. The zucchini fries weren't so good and not crispy at all. The lamp chops were juicy. The chicken kabobs were decent. We came in around lunch time, but it wasn't busy at all. The food came out quick. It was a nice small restuarant situated in a small plaza.
google avatar

Stacy B.

Yelp
Just an update, because today I was thinking "I would be so sad if Souvlaki Skewers had to close", so my husband and I stopped by for lunch. The food was excellent as per usual, and the guy working the front desk was so friendly, agreeable and affable, handling the various orders, delivery pick-ups, and customers with cheerful efficiency. I wish I'd caught his name, but shout-out to him for making a tasty meal even more enjoyable!
google avatar

Michelle W.

Yelp
Solid gyros in South Bay! Had this place bookmarked for months and finally got a chance to try it. The meat is so tender, the pita is perfectly toasted, and the sauces are yummy. Will def be back. They also add fries into the gyros which was a nice surprise :)
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
I found Souvlaki's by dreaming of and then searching for a calamari pita sandwich. So many Greek restaurants have calamari appetizers and then gyro, chicken, lamb and veggie pita sandwiches- what if I want calamari in my pita? Is that too much to ask? Not at Souvlaki's. The real thing was just like I'd imagined, albeit with a slightly sweeter sauce. And I picked up a baklava on the way out. Souvlaki's is very customer service oriented too. Staff was particularly attentive. Great place. Will be back.

Yelp
Have to say as my second review of this place, it let me down a little bit. I ordered food to go and the pick up window was between 5:15pm and 5:25pm. I arrived at 5:20pm and the good news, the food was ready. I only live about 7 min away from this place and by the time i got home, the fries were all soggy and not very good. I think i may have received the wrong pitas as this one had chicken and it was very dry... their lamb and beef one is much better. The spicy Greek feta is amazing though and has a good kick to it. The sausage and pita is also very good, just wish it came with a sauce. Overall this place was just ok... parking can be a bit tough as it is in a small strip mall, but perhaps they were just off their game today. Seeing i had order quite a bit of food (~$100 which was about 8 items), I also wish items were clearly marked as some of the stuff I didn't really know what it was.

Yelp
Overall, we enjoyed our souvlaki pitas here and I'd come back again! FOOD // + Chicken souvlaki gyro: tasty! The chicken was juicy and flavorful. I would rather not have the fries in the gyro though; I ended up picking them out and eating them separately, and they were more enjoyable that way. I would rather have had a bit more veggies in there. + Calamari: the calamari in our takeout box looked a bit small for the portion, but it turned out to be perfect for us five to share (in addition to our individual dishes). Super crispy, and the two sauces complemented the calamari well. + Greek Salad: we also shared this salad, which was super fresh and yummy. Everyone else really enjoyed their dishes -- the lamb skewer plate, beef skewer plate, and bifteki gyro (which I want to try next time, as my friend said it had a wonderful smoky flavor and great spicing.) I saved some of my pita bread for the next day and heated it up a bit. Really enjoyed the spices on the pita! SERVICE + AMBIANCE // This is definitely a casual spot to eat. Nothing fancy but great food. Even though they were pretty busy inside, they still provided great service as well. We were sitting at the tables outside, and someone came out to bring us water water cups and even checked up on how we were doing twice more.

Yelp
Pricing was pretty inconsistent across the delivery platforms with GrubHub and Uber Eats being way more expensive per item and DoorDash matching in-restaurant prices, but this would've been four stars easily had I not found a piece of latex glove skewered between the vegetables of my lamb skewer. This spot had been on my radar for a while but I could never justify the prices for their single skewers until I had a really bad skewer craving. I placed a take out order via DoorDash and had a very smooth pick up experience. I ordered the moussaka and a lamb skewer. The feta cheese that came on top of the horiatiki green salad was so good, it tasted high quality and was much creamier than the stuff I'm used to having from Costco. The lamb skewer I would say was satisfactory, not out of the world good but no particular negatives either. There was a piece of latex glove between the vegetables which is why this is going to have to be a two star overall, but hey sometimes these things happen just got to make sure not to let it happen again. I really enjoyed the eggplant in the moussaka but wasn't such a fan of the bechamel on top. To be fair I'm not a fan of bechamel in general and didn't order this dish for myself. The feta on the horiatiki green salad I've already said great things about, but I wish I could've just gotten authentic horiatiki (ordering on DoorDash didn't allow me the option to change the side salad or add a special request).
google avatar

Ben B.

Yelp
This is my go-to Greek restaurant for an absolutely awesome gyro salad. Do not forget to add extra olives and feta! FYI: They also have awesome beers to go with your order!
google avatar

Lia K.

Yelp
My second review. Hands down the best authentic Greek food in the Bay Area. This is exactly what Greek food is supposed to taste like. I wish you were closer. The workers are also very kind and work so hard.

Gail J.

Yelp
We placed an order last night for chicken skewers which were delicious. However, the salad that came in the dinner was so soggy and sitting in so much liquid that it was completely unappealing to eat. It may have been a lack of drainage because it was watery but soggy lettuce just doesn't make for a good salad.

Yelp
Honestly very underrated gem in willow glen. They have very reliable and delicious Greek food at good prices. A must try if you're in the mood for some yummy chicken skewers, falafels, zucchini fries or hummus. They also offer a $6 Greek wine. It may not be for everyone but I personally liked it. Service is very quick, helpful and friendly. Under 15 minutes for an order. The ambiance is cosy. They make everything right in front of you so you can be sure the food comes out piping hot. Don't forget to ask for the hot sauce and mustard. Both lovely additions to any salad, pita or skewer. Must try for excellent Greek food! Been meaning to try the desserts but haven't yet. You can see them displayed at the counter when you order. They look really tempting! Can't wait to try.

Yelp
BEST EYRO PITA IN SAN JOSE!! Fresh pita, generous helping of gyro meat, perfect amount of tzatziki sauce, to go portion size is just as large as eating in-house.. Swap the onions for cucumbers and settle into the best eyro pita you've ever had outside of Greece! * Trust this pregnant mommy who has tried 14 different Greek restaurants over the past 7 months!!
google avatar

Chelsea C.

Yelp
We ordered Souvlaki's via DoorDash as a family and the food did not disappoint! The hummus and pita was absolutely DELICIOUS. We will definitely be ordering from here again!
google avatar

Jon T.

Yelp
You can smell the food from the parking lot! very tasty and prices are fair, I've tried the salads and wraps here a few times and have always been very happy with the food. They make the food fresh and you can taste the difference. If you're a fan of greek food this place is definitely worth checking out

f B.

Yelp
Has been consistantly very good, last week something happened and I'm not sure what it involved, lack of experience by workers, change of protein supplier, just lack of consistancy in the preparation !?? The protein may have been cut with the grain, causing it to be tough, and not marinatined properly causing an off taste, which ever please take the time to maintain the quality that has been there, because quality and taste is what keeps customers coming back and assures the profitabily of your business!

Yelp
I've been to this small plaza previously, and made a note to come back to check out Souvlaki's at some point. Since I was back in the area, I decided to finally stop by. They were busy but not crowded at 3:30pm on a Saturday. I decided to try their Pork Souvlaki ($11, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=K9hu_YMHJboSGHKRBmR26g&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg), and it took about 15 minutes for them to prepare my order (unlike the gyro meat that is on the skewer, I believe they have to cook the souvlaki meat to order). I thought the souvlaki was really good when eaten altogether, and had a lot of flavor. I loved the tzatziki in the wrap, and their fluffy and chewy pita. Although the pork was flavorful, it was overcooked and slightly dry. However, I would still order this again and hope my pork will not be as well done the next time around. I'll be back to give their gyro a try, as well as order their fries on the side. Both indoor and outdoor dining was available (no heat lamps though, from what I could see), and they had hand sanitizer. Parking was easy to to find at the time in their shared lot.

Yelp
Very good food, we were here during the rain storm and the power went out. Luckily we had already ordered, but the staff handled it very well and tried to accommodate the remaining patrons with food they could prepare without the fryer or the grill. Parking up front was open and easy for us at the time, a small lot though if the other neighboring businesses are open.

Courtney S.

Yelp
I ordered the souvlaki skewers special to go. The salad was only tomatoes and onions. No greens, cucumbers, or anything else that was advertised. The fries showed up soggy on the bottom. Chicken and veggie skewers weren't too bad but overall pretty disappointed.

Yelp
Experience the culinary delights of Souvlaki's Greek Skewers, an exceptional Greek Eatery nestled in the vibrant San Francisco Bay Area. They have outstanding service and the ambiance is amazing. Our taste adventure began with a delectable array of dishes, including the irresistible falafel balls, the tantalizing chicken gyro souvlaki, the flavorsome three meat souvlaki plate, and the heavenly baklava. The falafels were a delightful combination of softness and crunch, creating a heavenly sensation with every bite. Prepare to be blown away by the outstanding chicken gyro souvlaki sandwich, where the addition of fries adds a clever twist. The flavors are simply sensational, and the meat is cooked to perfection. Indulge in the three meat souvlaki, a mouthwatering feast featuring juicy and tender chicken, lamb, and pork. Accompanied by Greek-style pilaf, salad, and an abundance of Greek sauces, this dish is truly amazing. To conclude our feast, we savored the absolutely mouthwatering baklava, a dessert that will leave you craving for more. Yelp
I love an authentic, mom and pop food spot. No glitz and glam needed. Just delicious, homey food that pays homage to its origins. That's exactly what you get at Souvalki's Greek Skewers. If you love meat, then you'd be crazy not to get the 3 Piece Souvlaki Combo. The skewers are delightful: perfectly spiced, tender, and full of flavor. If you don't want a little bit of everything or don't have a huge appetite, then just get the bifteki. It's so tender and tasty, and crumbles to the touch. Absolutely divine. Really glad that we stopped by while driving through San Jose!

Yelp
A gem in my neighborhood! Not a fancy restaurant but still very clean inside. I've dined in and done takeout from Souvlaki's and both times have been delicious experiences. I think my fiance is borderline obsessed with Souvlaki's. He suggests it as a meal option whenever we are contemplating what we want to eat. I wish I got the name of the gentleman at the counter because he was soo friendly. His service made me want to come back before we even tried the food for the first time. We've tried the gyro pita, 3 piece souvlaki plate, and their 4 dips appetizer special. Everything has been tasty and flavorful. The beef in the 3 piece plate was extremely tender. The chicken was surprisingly not dry. The pita that comes with the dips comes out piping hot, and the slight seasoning on the pita is sooo good. If you couldn't tell from this review, we will be dining here again (and again)!

Yelp
I was recommended this place by a friend of mine and am I sure glad he did - great spot to enjoy some Greek food during lunch time. Small mom and pop feel when you walk in. As a person who is not well versed in Greek food, I usually resort to ordering a Gyro or a combination meat plate. This time I opted for the Gyro souvlaki. The gyro was everything I had hoped for - packed with meat, proportionate with tomatoes, onions and a delicious yogurt sauce wrapped in a warm toasted pita. Each bite had all the right textures and the meat was flavorful without being too salty - was a huge fan. Service was very friendly and gave the feeling of a local staple with alot of history. I saw alot of regulars being acknowledged by their name which was nice to see. Definitely come check this place out!
