Sovereign Arms Tattoo

I went and got my first tattoo from Scott. The experience was amazing and the work done was fantastic. After we got done, I immediately scheduled to get a second. I've been recommending them to my friends and would recommend them to you as well!

The artist did a phenomenal job. He was able to put together the tattoo exactly how I had it in my head, and the work was quick and professional. He was very kind and I felt really welcome in the shop. Shop was very clean. Pricing was appropriate (any reputable place won’t come cheap, but I didn’t feel overcharged by any means). The work comes guaranteed and he is someone I’d feel comfortable approaching if I were unhappy. Overall a great experience!!

I cannot put into words how happy I am with my new tattoo (but I'll try)! I had wanted a sea turtle tattoo for a while but couldn't get past the idea of a mandala-style sleeve (that I couldn't swing). When I met with Gareth, he sketched up a sea turtle with a mandala shell in about two minutes and it was exactly I wanted (I just hadn't known it!). The tattoo process itself was seamless and comfortable. All of the paperwork and waivers were done on a tablet first, which I thought was kind of cool (and a lot quicker for someone like me, who has terrible handwriting). Once he got going, Gareth checked in several times to make sure I was doing okay. I was really impressed with him -- it seems like tattooing comes naturally to him and you can tell he's been at it for a while! The whole process was a lot quicker than I thought but I never felt rushed. He took care to make sure I was 100% happy with the design before we started, during the process, and again before we wrapped things up. I honestly intended this tattoo to be my last one, but Gareth made me want to get more of his art. It's pretty clear he absolutely loves his work and is a pro at it. Can't wait to go back again!

Gareth creates such a calm and caring environment for your appointment. Tattoo studios can be so intense and his does not feel that way at all. He has always listened to every vision I had with thoughtful responses. I appreciate him in this field so much! Thanks pal!

Ryan Stout sketched up my piece from a few reference pictures and I'm in love!! He was knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. The studio was professional and clean. My friend recommended this studio to me and I am over the moon with how everything turned out.

Went here specifically because I wanted a rose from Matt Pike, and he nailed it. That was a little over a year ago and I still get compliments on how good it looks. I can't wait to get another one soon. Thanks a ton guys.

Top notch in every way. The atmosphere, cleanliness, and customer service are nothing short of excellent. I’ve been going to Gareth for over 5 years now and have several phenomenal pieces by him. Not only is he super knowledgeable about his craft but he pays amazing attention to detail and is always up for a creative challenge. I’ve brought so many ideas to him over the years and he is always down to introduce new designs and concepts to me to take my idea to the next level. I get stopped all the time by people to ask where I get my tattoos done and I love referring them to Sovereign Arms knowing that they are in great hands.

Gareth is the man. Great artist. Dope shop. Seasonable prices. He's also a big dnd/marvel/Star Wars nerd so extra point for that.

I received my first tattoo (pre-COVID) from Sovereign Arms and could not be happier. The place is clean and artists are polite and respectful. Asked great questions to make sure what I received was what I wanted (even little details I didn't consider beforehand). Provided me with good after-care instructions as well. I always recommend them to friends. Will return if/when I want to get my next tattoo.

I highly recommend this place! I ended up coming here because my previous artist from a different tattoo company didn't show up... and what a blessing in disguise! I worked with matt pike. I wanted a rose tattoo and as a walk-in, and he was very sincere, and helped with placement and what I wanted. My tattoo turned out fabulous. I will be back for more.

THIS SHOP IS AMAZING. All of the artists are very respectful and chill. They make the time sitting on a table, getting rammed by a million needles, enjoyable. The guys are very carefree, yet diligent with what they do. Of course, it is a job, but these guys , you can tell they really love what they do. I have so much appreciation for them for helping me get thru my husbands deployment. (Tattoos are my therapy). I will forever be a client to them.

Great little place. After searching around for weeks for a good place and either getting no answers or the workers being rude I found this place. Everyone was so nice and kind and replied right away. I'll be back for another soon!!

Got my first tattoo here and was very happy with the service. Hunter did my tattoo and was very professional and helpful since it was my first. Lines are very clean on my tattoo and healed well. I will be going back here for the rest of my tattoos and highly recommend!!

#1 TATTOO SHOP IN SOUTHWEST MICHIGAN! insanely talented artists, and an impeccably clean shop. (seriously, it smells like a doctors office inside because of how clean it is!) they follow all covid protocols, and go above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable in their space. i've gotten 4 tattoos there so far and i don't plan on going anywhere else. Hunter Cross is my go to guy, but every time i am there i can tell from the work on the walls/social media, down to the way the other artists carry themselves and conduct business that they are all amazing choices if you're thinking about getting some new ink! i drive just about an hour one way give or take depending on time/season to get there, but i'd happily drive 4+ hours to receive the quality of work i get. if you're questioning your choice between shops in the area look no further, this place will take care of you 1000%!!!

Came here for their flash event with the library. Quality work, no touch ups needed. The place seemed clean and the staff was professional! Mine turned out great and so did my husband's.
