Google
Visited The Wash today with family & friends and was instantly drawn to Soy Cubano. Good Cuban food is sadly hard to find in Nashville, but not anymore. The Cuban sandwich I ate today was easily the best I’ve ever had at any place in town. The pork was tender, flavorful, the bread was perfect and the portion size was great making my meal a solid value. Based on the sandwich, I’ll 100% return to try other items in the future & can’t wait to do so ✌🏻

Google
My wife and I stopped by Soy Cubano for brunch and it was an amazing experience! We ordered two Cubano sandwiches with yuca al mojo, along with a cortado and a cafecito. Every bite was bursting with authentic flavor — the sandwiches were perfectly pressed, the yuca was tender and full of garlicky goodness, and the coffee was strong and rich, just the way it should be. The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, making it a perfect spot to kick back, relax, and enjoy a quality moment together. You can feel the care put into both the food and the vibe of the place. Highly recommend for anyone craving true Cuban flavor here in Nashville!

Google
As a Cuban, I’ve had my fair share of Cuban sandwiches, but the one I ordered here was hands down the best I’ve ever tasted. Perfectly toasted bread, flavorful layers, and just the right balance of everything. On top of that, the staff was warm and welcoming, which made the experience even better. This spot is a gem. I’ll definitely be coming back anytime I’m in the area!

Google
The food was absolutely amazing! I’ve lived in South Florida where cuban cuisine was easily had. This pictured here was authentic and delicious. The plantains were spot on and the beans had all the right flavors. It was just good for the soul. Try the empanadas and the guava pastry. My husband said the cafe con leche was excellent and his sandwich was as well. I would eat here 3/4 times a week if I lived in Nashville.

Google
Boy was I excited to find a great Cuban sandwich here in Nashville but finding the frita burger was the real gem. All the dishes were great but the burger was the real star. The Cubano is good but a tad sweet. The yuca is very delicious. I hope to make it back for breakfast.

Google
I want to say that I have been eating Cuban sandwiches most of my life and just moving here from Miami and trying out Soy Cubano, it has truly made my life so much better!!! I am not kidding this is the best and will forever remain my go to for Cuban food. Dale!!!!

Google
Personally, I would give a five star rating solely based upon their Cuban sandwich. It’s pretty outstanding - it has to be one of the best in the Nashville area. The first thing that you’re gonna notice is the exterior crunch – absolutely perfect complement to the goodness on the inside. Their black beans and rice are a perfect side item and complement to most menu items. The outside seating is shared amongst the other restaurants, however there is typically plenty places to sit. The decor and outdoor setting tends to give it a coastal region, beach type vibe - some shade, with consistent gentle breezes. Fantastic spot for the Cuban fanatics.

Google
We stopped in for a cafe con leche one morning and WOW this place did not disappoint. I lived in Tampa for a bit and became accustomed to cafe con leche and Cuban bread, and this place brought me right back there. So delicious. I ordered Cuban toast (tostada) and my wife got the Elena sandwich. It was so much food we had them wrap up 1/2 of it to go before we left. (If you’ve already had breakfast earlier you may just want the toast, it was plenty.) The wash was a great environment to sit and chill this morning and enjoy some amazing coffee and food. We’re so lucky to have a place like this nearby. If you need a great coffee with a filling bite, or looking for that authentic Cuban spot, just get there.

Yelp
I had a long weekend of traveling and Nashville was the next trip on the list. My body was desperate for something healthier and filling and coming to Soy Cubano was the perfect pick! My Yelp bestie took us to The Wash. There were plenty of other options nearby, but she told me the pollo a la plancha fit my description. I'm so happy I got this. We ordered takeout, but waited at one of the outdoor covered tables (everything at The Wash is outside). For a super affordable dish, you get plantains, yuca, rice and beans, and super delicious chicken. Although my review is just on this chicken dish, it was so tasty I am sure other things on their menu is just as delicious.

Yelp
Soy cubano is def the most anticipated and must sought after spot in this outdoor food hall. I believe they bring the people in and for a good reason. I will preface that I am not a huge Cuban sandwich fan but I think they could take the cake for one of the best I've had. Nothing close to what Miami has but this is going to be the best you can get in Nashville for sure. Great lunch spot! Rough when it's super hot out because there is zero indoor seating. All outdoor

Scotty G.

Yelp
Man it was so good. Don't hesitate. That cubano hit all the right spots. Went back the next day with the family. 2nd time was just as good.

Yelp
What a tasty little stall in The Wash! I recently stopped by Soy Cubano for a weekday lunch, and would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a midday meal that's hearty and quick. I ordered online in advance, and my order was ready when I arrived 15 minutes later! Parking can be a bit confusing if you're not familiar with the area - but I found a spot on the street nearby with no issues. While this spot is known for its Cuban sandwich, I took the recommendation of a friend and ordered one of the plates. The Pollo a la Plancha is tons of food for $14 - tasty grilled chicken, savory black beans, perfectly cooked rice, and even a side of plantains! I also couldn't resist tacking on an order of beef empanadas, which were phenomenal. Some of the best I've had!
google avatar

Tina C.

Yelp
Part of "The Wash," an outdoor food court of diverse cuisines. Parking available on side streets nearby. Very quick service on a weekday evening. Ordered the frita burger and their current special, the ropa vieja (pulled pork on rice with sides of plantains and yuca). The star of the show for me were the sides; the plantain was sweet and a little crispy on the outside, and the yuca had a great partially mashed texture. The mains were too salty for me but very filling!
google avatar

Indigo P. N.

Yelp
This place is located in East Nashville so I started with the congri and Empanada first. Yall.... that congri.... FYE!!! So I ordered the special! I can't believe I really didn't order any extra yuca with this LOL will let you know how it tastes! But that congri.... SEASONED!

Yelp
I met my husband when I lived in tampa. He and his entire family are native floridians. Coming from a small town in Tennessee cuban food had never been on my radar. I absolutely fell in love with it. Both of us had really wanted nashville to get a good cuban restaurant. Never in my wildest dreams did we think that we would find a real deal Cuban restaurant that was this authentic and every single time perfect. The quality control at this restaurant is on point. My husband moved here to be with me and I am so happy that this restaurant offers him a little slice of home. Well done!!!

Sean K.

Yelp
Great place ....food is definitely authentic and very good! Had the Cubano sandwich. Cool seating outside with ac and fans.
google avatar

Sarah B.

Yelp
Cuban sandwiches are amazing! Plantains are amazing! Empanadas are so good! We also got the special but I don't know what it's called. My boyfriend loved it. We're from South Florida and this place tastes just like home. Came on a Saturday and they were open until 8:30pm. We almost didn't come because the hours online say they close at 8. I'm glad we called ahead and made it. This place is amazing! You order at a window and they have a covered area for you to sit at. The girls go took our order brought us our food. She was very nice. They also have an outdoor fire pit and one of the restaurants in the plaza is a cute bar. Fun place to hangout!
google avatar

Jasmine J.

Yelp
This is my second Soy Cubano experience, but first one for breakfast. They only provide window service, but have some outdoor seating available when the weather is nice. We took our food to go, and I was ready to dig in! I ordered the black bean chilaquiles, and man was it good! Everything was so flavorful, and made for a great bite! Tortilla chips, cooked in black beans, with two fried eggs....yum. And the garlic aioli, sriracha, and manchego to top it off was absolute perfection. The portion was pretty big, so I had a little left for later. Of course, I also had to get the guava cream cheese pastry for dessert. Let's just say I was all smiles when I was done. Safe to say Soy Cubano is normally in my list when I visit Nashville!
google avatar

Julia H.

Yelp
I've received two strong recommendations from two Cubans for this place's authenticity, so I had to come! Situated amongst other small hole-in-the-wall restaurants, Soy Cubano had a lovely outdoor seating area with shade and many tables. We waited 15-20 mins for food, and the portions were generous! This was my first time trying Cuban food. I had the black bean plate--it was very filling and flavorful. I personally liked the plantains the best. The presentation was neat, and I still had some food left when I got full. Excited to come back again and also try the other restaurants! Many choices!

Stacy G.

Yelp
The best Cuban sandwich I've had around. The Mojo pork is so juicy, tender and flavorful. The empanadas are excellent quality as well. I'll be a regular. Also, I love how low-key The Wash is. No trendy menu or inflated prices, just quality international food and cozy outdoor seating.
google avatar

Mads B.

Yelp
Very good. I have no complaints. Although I will say I didn't think the Cuban sandwich was better than any other I've had, it was a great sandwich. There's NO indoor seating. You order at a window outside. Pro tip: you can have your sandwich delivered to the Bay 6 bar which has indoor seating with AC. Have a cocktail while you enjoy your sandwich. Pro tip 2: the parking lot is tiny but there's plenty of free street parking in the neighborhood behind the restaurant.

Sean V.

Yelp
As a Cuban in Nashville, this really hit the spot. The croquettes are just as good if not better than Miami and all the food very well made.
google avatar

Megan G.

Yelp
QUE SABOR!!!! I loved the food at Soy Cubano. It was absolutely delicious. I usually only get the chance to eat good Cuban food when I vacation down in Florida, but I'm so excited to have found a spot here in Nashville that is just as good if not even better than my favorite spots in Florida! The yuca was perfect, and the meat was flavorful. Las croquetas were crispy and well seasoned! Despite there being a line, the food came out at a reasonable time, and the employees were very friendly. There was plenty of seating that is shared with the surrounding businesses which are also different food places, so there is a bit for everyone. Parking was tricky, but there is a lot a bit further up the street to park in. Overall, this is a great spot if you are looking for some seriously flavorful and authentic Cuban food!
google avatar

Kim W.

Yelp
Love their Cuban sandwich! I keep meaning to try other things on the menu but I can't get past their delicious sandwich!!

Yelp
Located in The Wash in East Nashville. I loved the Garlic Aioli with the Beef Empanadas, but the Yuca Fries were not my cup of tea. Favorite Dishes: Beef Empanadas with Garlic Aioli

Kiro F.

Yelp
The food here is phenomenal! The people here is amazing, they will take good care of you. The outside sitting area is good with great vibe. I would recommend this place to anyone that is wanting to try cuban food! WILL COME BACK FOR SURE! The food here is phenomenal! The people here is amazing, they will take good care of you. Yelp
Best Cuban sandwich in town. Delicious roast pork and crunchy and tasty Cuban bread. Great breakfast sandwich. Best I've had. Everything else is good with large serving size. All seating is outdoors which can be uncomfortable now.

Tracey O.

Yelp
So excited to find a Cuban place in Nashville.. if I could give it more than 5 stars I would!

Yelp
This is a cute little review for Soy Cubano, but also The Wash as a whole. (I freaking love this place!) I brought my visiting Colombian parents to grab some Cuban food and ceviche from Two Peruvian Chefs. (Stellar food there btw, try the crab ceviche special...swoon!) I also ordered a Cubano from Soy Cubano and split that baby into pieces for an impromptu Nashville tasting menu. It was out of this world good! Mustard, pickles, mojo pork, ham and cheese on the crispiest pressed roll. If you've got anything hurting you, this baby will fix you right up. I also got a Materva (Yerba mate soda) for a little pep in my step during this freaking heatwave. Come here with a group of indecisive friends, and everyone will leave happy. Pro-tip1, if you sit on the benches close to the plant misters you get a refreshing spray to help you cool down while having a bomb meal. Pro-tip 2, there are only 3 spots to park at by the Wash but if you turn between the hat shop and Tower Deli and drive on that street, you can park easily. Don't block people's driveways though; that's not very East Nashville of you.

Yelp
google avatar

Mike Z.

Yelp
A strike of culture that this tiny food hall that the Wash has brought to East Nashville is great. They did really well with the original cuban. The chicken one is good but the pork is the way to go. Next time I'm just going to order the Mojo Pork so I can engorge in the goodness of how they cook their pulled pork. The toasted bread is the seal of approval when you eat their sandwiches. Can't wait for cooler weather to grab a cubano, some vermecelli at east side pho, a cocktail drink and soak in some rays. Also, you can get it delivered. It was nice and hot when we received it.
google avatar

Richard G.

Yelp
Take it from an actual Cuban. This food has been around me since I was born. I was eating plantains before I could talk. Do yourself a favor and eat here whenever you can. This is the most authentic you will ever get besides having a Abuela in your kitchen throwing it down. The Ropa Vieja and Cubano is fire. Everything is phenomenal. Service is always super friendly and they make you feel like you're a part of the family. Great ambiance at The Wash, plenty of seating and relaxed vibes.

Barb T.

Yelp
Outside or to-go eating only. Service was good. Cute outside area to eat. Yuca was beyond bland. The rice and beans had a little bit more flavor. The Palomino steak was super yummy! Now to the Cuban... it is NOT traditional Cuban bread, but does have most the flavor of a real Cuban. The bread is so thin, it's like a barely there flat bread. The plantains were YUMMY. Overall, it was just ok for me.

Mark S.

Yelp
I really wanted to like my Arroz con Pollo. It was probably good when it was made, but it tasted like that was several days ago. I know this dish has to be prepared in advance, but at some point it's too old to serve. My order was beyond that point. It was dry and, after reheating, overcooked. Plantains were good.
google avatar

Yelp
One of the best Cubanos I have had was a place called Kool Korner in Atlanta (now south of Birmingham). The other best have been in Florida, primarily in the Miami-Dade area. This ranks up there, although a bit lower in my opinion. Let's set the scene. I was talking to someone whose family is from Cuba and said I would buy some Cuban food from Soy Cubano so we could try it. Another friend asked if I could get more, and so on. So, here is the menu for the night: Appetizers Beef Empanadas & Ham Croquetas Sammies Cuban Sandwich Frita Cuban Burger Mains Bistec de Palomilla Arroz Con Pollo Pollo a la Pancha Sides Black Beans and Rice Yucca Fried Plantains As a side note, the meals come with plantains and yucca, so you can save yourself some money (and leftovers) if you order meals. My view of the food. Appetizers: The ham croquetas were good, although I don't feel the aioli added anything. The beef empanadas were pretty pedestrian, although the beef does have a nice flavor. Next time, I will try the guava cream pastry and forgo both of these for other items I like better. Sandwiches: Cubana was good, but did not knock my socks off. I think I would much rather get a mojo pork platter, if offered, than the sandwich. The burger was unique (ground beef & pork + choriza with tomato sauce, swiss cheese and potato sticks) and tasty, although I don't think I would go that direction of. I am curious about the Chicken Cuban Club and Bikini Sandwich (manchego cheese with portabello mushrooms and truffle butter). Mains & Sides: The beans & rice are good, although even better underneath the palomilla. Arroz con Pollo was very good, although the Pollo a la Pancha stole the day for me. Chicken marinated in mojo with grilled onions on top. Chef's kiss. I always love friend plantains, so no issue here, and found yucca served more like boiled potatoes to be very nice. I could order those with a sandwich and be very happy. I will return at some point, but likely a stop at Two Peruvian Chefs first.

Yelp
Great Cuban food!!!!! The Cuban Sandwich is fantastic so are the empanadas. Friendly staff and a very nice clean patio to enjoy your great food. If you are craving Cuban food this is definitely the place to go to in the Nashville area.
google avatar

Christie G.

Yelp
This is one of those places I'd give more than 5 stars if I could. We're from Miami and in Nashville for a day. We were craving some Cuban food after being on the road for a few days. I'm a breakfast person & was surprised to see yuca and eggs on the menu. It's not traditional so I had to try it. WOW absolutely yummy. Staff was sweet. No indoor seating at their bay but your able to sit at the bar which is I think the first bay. Outdoor seating is also available.
google avatar

Yelp
Fabulous food at great prices . Great flavor ! Nice location . Park at church parking lot !

Yelp
Omggggg what a sandwich! I had the pleasure of running across Soy Cubano at yesterday's 12th South Farmer's Market. I walked around for a loop to really see what the farmer's market had to offer. Ultimately, the smell of the sandwiches pulled my intermittent fasting butt back to their tent. Cuban sandwich: This simple sandwich just checked all the spots for me. Crunchy bread: check Cheese: check Beefy Flavor: check For $5, I got half sandwich with a great mix of smoky, flavorful pulled pork with the sourness of a pickle wrapped in a crispy bun grilled to perfection. I could've just been hungry from my fast, I'm willing to try it again to see. Find their schedule at: @eatsoycubano on Instagram

Yelp
Soy cubana y conocí este lugar en un viaje familiar, les puedo decir que es la mejor comida cubana que hemos comido , el verdadero sabor cubano.
google avatar

Donna M.

Yelp
Omg, this Miami girl loved this little authentic gem! Cuban sandwich and black beans were amazing!
google avatar

Nate M.

Yelp
OMG! The Soy Cubano team is amazing. Soy Cubano, for the moment, doesn't have a brick and mortar, they set up and cook at pop-ups all over Nashville. I was able to enjoy them at the Nashville Farmers Market where I ordered a Cubano sandwich and a papaya/cream cheese pastry. This sandwich was amazing! It had multiple textures and flavors and was just plain delicious. I ordered this to share with my son, but found myself greedily enjoying bite after bite. The sandwich is made to order and cooked right in front of you on a searing hot flat top. While I waited, I was given a sample of their Cuban coffee and an espresso. The coffee was sweet and delicious and the espresso had amazing bite. My son loved the sandwich, when I did give him bites, but he was mostly focused on the guava and cream cheese pastry. I was only able to snag two bites from him because he was just as greedy about this pastry as I was about the sandwich. The pastry was soft and the filling was delightful! A perfect contract to the savory sando. If I could, I would follow Soy Cubano all over Nashville just like some sort of weird foodie dead-head groupie. Party on and eat Soy Cubano!

Yelp
Small mom and pop type of deal, great food and coffee. Staff were super friendly and nice, can't wait to visit when in town next

Yelp
Went on a coffee date this morning. Was a little nervous because I've never had Cuban food But OH MY GOODNESS!!! It was so good! It was light it was tasteful it was filling without feeling like you ate too much. The young lady at the counter was so nice and gave good suggestions! I will be back. And it was affordable
google avatar

Chris C.

Yelp
Best Cuban I've had since Miami! Plantains could have been sweeter but those were good too. This place is great. I'll eat here anytime I'm in the area and might even drive up here just for this sandwich. I love a good Cuban!!!
google avatar

Daniel V.

Yelp
This is an authentic Cuban restaurant. The available food is delicious and the location is nice with only outdoor seating available. They are quick and served me with a smile. While the food is great, I do wish they were more options. The menus is mostly sandwiches for main entrees. But you can't beat the croquettas from Soy Cubano in Nashville.
google avatar

Danny A.

Yelp
We both had the Cuban sandwich and the beef empanadas. They were amazing! We will be going back.
google avatar

Shirley C.

Yelp
Yes, it's a Cuban sandwich, but it's a really good Cuban sandwich. Roast pork, ham, Swiss, pickles, and mustard all carefully layered between bread that has been toasted to perfection. Also heats up really well if you manage to save half the sandwich for leftovers the next day. Only thing is that the pork, although a generous portion, was a little dry for my taste.
google avatar

H G.

Yelp
I ordered Arroz Con Huevos (Rice with Eggs) for breakfast before work. Two sunny-side up eggs over beans and rice. It was delicious. The servers were friendly and service was quick. I liked the outside patio area as well, it was quiet and it wasn't busy at 8:30am on a Tuesday. Thank you! (No indoor seating for those that need to know. Walk-up to the window for service.)
google avatar

Sheyla H.

Yelp
The food was awful. The bean were very acidic and when I asked he said they add vinegar to the black beans. Cuban black beans don't need vinegar. It's a window so not much of a restaurant vibe. It has a gravel area with tables under a tent to sit outside.
google avatar

Adrian H.

Yelp
We know Cuban food well, having lived for so long in South Florida, and this was good Cuban. Friendly, conscientious service from someone who seemed to be either the owner or manager and chef...,who delivered our food to us in a nearby bar because it was cold outside. (This is one of four restaurants in a popup-kinda place in an old car wash in a hipster part of town....very unstructured with shared exterior tables for dining.) Some hot sauce would have helped the beans and rice, but the yucca was garlicky and flavorful and perfect. We both had varieties of chicken and next time would try the pork, which smelled amazing. Incidentally, the cocktails we had at the bar, named Bay 6, were creative and delicious, served up by an owner-bartender named Bo/Beaux who was friendly and a talented mixologist.
google avatar

Geoffrey H.

Yelp
The Cuban here is the best I've ever had outside of Miami... and it really might be the G.O.A.T. This place pops up as almost an indoor food truck (i.e. not a food truck) at Never Never from time to time. I will never miss an opportunity to eat what this dude is cooking... even if I'm deadass full. If you have encountered them in the wild... why are still reading this? GO EAT IT!
google avatar

Karysa P.

Yelp
As Cubans from Miami, we always want our cafecito and look for a place to visit for coffee when traveling. Boy am I HAPPY we found Soy Cubano! Everything about this spot is great. The food, the staff, the service, all incredible. Probably some of the best coffee and Cuban food I have had in years! Did not disappoint. We had the breakfast sandwiches, tostadas and guava and cheese pastries. They were all fresh, well made and tasty. The young lady who takes orders is so sweet, and an authentic Cuban which is nice to see as the face of the "ventanita." If you're in Nashville, be sure and check this place out!

Kelli L.

Yelp
Delicious, consistent, quick, authentic, and friendly. They have the best cafe con leche in Nashville!
google avatar

Sarah L.

Yelp
Born & raised in South Florida- I have missed Cuban food. Real Cuban food. The cuban I ordered (take out) nonetheless is by far the best cuban I have ever found outside of my hometown of Sarasota. The bread is cuban bread (which is actually hard to find if you order one out). It's sweet, pressed, and flaky. I'm honestly in shock at how good it is, even take out! Do not pass this restaurant up. Wow!!!
google avatar

Yaminah M.

Yelp
I'd seen a couple friends mention this place on Facebook and decided to give it a try. I ordered online and picked up curbside. The guy that brought my food out was super friendly and seemed to take pride in the food and business which usually confirms the food is yum! I had the Cuban with rice & beans, sweet plantains, & elote. Everything was deliciously flavorful except the rice & beans, which were still good but my least favorite item of all the food I had. I'd definitely eat Soy Cubano again and will suggest to friends!

Michael S.

Yelp
The Ropa Vieja is my favorite meal in Nashville. I just need it to be a regular dish!
