19 Best Vegan and Vegetarian Off-Strip Restaurants in Las Vegas

"SoyMexican Veggie Vegan Eatery first opened in 2018 as “El Cactus,” then moved to a food stand on Wyoming Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard, and now lives in its permanent home in El Mercado in Boulevard Mall. It’s an all-vegan, family-run joint with Mexico City-inspired dishes like street tacos, wet burritos, and tortas, all with protein options of soy meats in the style of asada, chorizo, pastor, and picadillo, or vegetables (mushrooms, peppers, and cactus)." - Katie Swalm, Janna Karel

Google
Absolutely a wonderful place. The young lady was very pleasant. The food was delicious! And lots of it. The lil mall it was in was amazing! I goofed and told maps it was incorrect on directions, but it wasn't. If I lived here I would frequent it. I had the enchiladas and they were amazing. Id recommended anything seeing how yummy my lunch (and leftovers) was!

Google
One of the best vegan Mexican food I've ever tried! We had different tacos, the wet chimichanga, and the chilaquiles. Flavors and sauces were remarkable, and portions were very generous. The restaurant is in the Boulevard Mall, and it's a hidden gem in the food court of a very authentic Mexican market. The staff was also very friendly. Recomendado! ♥️

Google
THIS PLACE WAS FIREEEE 10/10 hands down best Mexican vegan food I've ever eaten at. It was hard to find because this place is in the food court of the El Mercado that's inside of the Boulevard Mall that was basically behind a bar area. But when you find it oh man it's worth every penny. The staff is super nice, atmosphere is cute along with some karaoke happening by a stage, the selection of food is exceptional and every single item was delicious. Only thing I would recommend is to come ready to eat. Overall great place, will definitely come again for delicious vegan Mexican food.

Google
OMG!!! The BEST tacos I’ve ever had! We are making it a tradition to eat here every time we come to Vegas. If you want authentic Mexican plant-based cuisine… hands down this is the place. Get your keys and get here asap! Wish I could give more than 5 stars and come here more often. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌮

Google
I’ve been coming to this joint back when they were in their food truck downtown! It’s hands down, the best street-tasting Mexican style tacos you can get for being vegan/plant-based. We got the asada, pastor, and nopal tacos with an asada sope and horchatas. Love that we can have a vegan taco place inside the boulevard mall. It’s surrounded by other authentic central and South American cuisines but so happy that this place is accepted here! Definitely recommend you try it.

Google
All plant-based menu located in a shopping mall with tons of ways to customize your food. I had the hongos (mushroom) and pastor sopes which were perfect. My partner had three tacos that were all great, as well. Hopefully I'll be back to try the pambazo!

Google
I don't intend to exaggerate when I say these are the best vegan tacos in town. I am a Vegas local and I cannot stop coming back to SoyMexican for their large variety of vegan food. I love this place! The location is a bit strange but this is why I call this a pure gem, hole in the wall place. Amazing service always. Thank you!

Google
I’ve frequented this place many times. And the food gets better and better! This time I chose the wet chimichanga with chorizo and asada, with both sauces. Aside from the great food, I must mention that the last three trips I have made here, I have continued to have a negative ordering experience with Ricardo. His disposition is so unwelcoming despite trying to engage or be polite. I hope he can be coached on his customer interaction skills and customer engagement.

Yelp
One of the best meals I've eaten in my life. Highly recommend it, totally worth going out of your way if you're visiting from out of town. I had the pambazo, their house specialty), and the al pastor, nopales, and rajas tacos, and a horchata. Finger licking good. And FYI that it's located in the El Mercado food court (separate from the regular mall food court)

kim h.

Yelp
Tried for the first time today. Absolutely DELISH!! I will definitely be back!! Had the chorizo taco and Al Pastor.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious food, big portions and good price. I get potato taquitos or tacos every time they're on a menu and these are the best I've ever had! The nachos and enchiladas were also delicious I didn't get a picture of the taquitos because they were eaten before I thought to take a picture

Yelp
To find this eatery, go to Boulevard Mall, then El Mercado, and walk all the way back until you reach the food court. This "Little Mexico" experience would be a good place to practice for those learning conversational Spanish. I had the wet burrito with both green and red sauces. It can be a lot for one person to finish at a single meal. It was quite difficult to cut through the burrito with the flimsy plastic fork and knife provided. This eatery has a good variety of soy-based and veggie fillings. I didn't care for the nopales (cactus meat), which were a bit on the sour side. However, the asada stole the show. The torta (Mexican sandwich) is what I'd like to try next.

Yelp
Tried to go here once but it was closed a few months ago. It reopened, so decided to try it. Finally found the place getting confused with the food court inside the mall. It is located inside a building with different other vendors inside, a bar, juice bars etc. next to the mall. The portion of the food was a LOT and the prices were decent. The young woman was helpful in answering all our questions and gave us everything we requested. Served everything to us. Very helpful person. Some parts of the food however was old. The fries were hard and tortilla were hard. The torta was a bit messy to eat as well. It was falling apart everywhere, probably from being soggy. The tacos were okay, and the asada fries were okay. The taste/flavor was okay. It was a repetitive taste all the same for everything.

Yelp
First I am so glad to see this in the mall at the Mercado of the Boulevard Mall. Its nice to see this placed where the ambience of Mexican singing and festive shops, the aroma of delicious food and sights of the mexican culture are. Soymexican staff was so friendly and it makes for such a better experience to top the delectable food! We ordered the Asada Chips which were so savory and crispy and top it with that Salsa . We ordered the asada fries and same deal . Now we wanted to try something new and we tried the Gringa which was a quesadilla but very tasteful. Would definitely order that again. The cheez they use really cheezy but not watery like some vegan cheezes. So good! The other new item we tried was the pambazo. It was like a asada torta on crack The bread was marinated (if thats the right word to use) in some sauce and the filling was awesome. Would get this again as well. You just have to try it and get the whole experience. If youre looking for the taco shop style food but in a old town san diego mexican restaurant experience (if youre from San Diego you know what Im talking about) plantbased style then this is the place. A MUST TRY!!!!!

Keilley M.

Yelp
Everything were amazing!!! We tried 4 street tacos and a wet chimichanga with asada. The sauces and filling were to die for. Definitely one of our top places to bring friends. Highly recommend!!!

Yelp
Let me begin by saying that I was told about this place by a friend and someone else's review made me want to try the tacos. So to begin the location is inside the BLVD mall in like a Spanish hall. Basically a bunch of Spanish stores and food places. I absolutely LOVEEEE THE LOCATION AND THE LOADS OF STORES IN THERE. The entrance to this inside Mercado. Anyways as soon as I got there I ordered my tacos and unfortunately the horchata was just made so I got Jamacia instead. And it was perfect!!!!!! I cannot wait to go back and try the horchata when the tacos came out and I opened up that foil (I ordered to go) OMGGGGGGGGGG !!!!! I have such a bad week and these had me smiling once I got back to work. I even ordered some for my boyfriend to try and he loved it! I will 100% be coming back. The staff was friendly. They deliver on I think grub hub or door dash. They were so delightful! I am so happy I went. I wanted to go back again today but was unable to make it. 10000000/10 recommend!!!!!!

Yelp
I was sooo excited for this place, but it just didn't hit the spot :( I ordered the mushroom chimichanga and it was just meh. It was also too spicy for me and so was the green salsa. I asked if they had any other sauces that weren't spicy and they said no Unfortunately I don't have Mexican genes like my boyfriend who can handle spice, so if my food is too spicy it's just not enjoyable Not sure I'll be back sadly. The cashier was really nice though
google avatar

Yelp
This place Hit the spot for what we were in the mood for at the time. We love trying new vegan spots around the Valley. The service was great. They explained the whole menu piece by piece. This place is a bit hard to find in the meadows mall...but don't let that stop you. We almost gave up until I called to see where it was,we are glad we did. When we located it,it was certainly was a little gem indeed. The ambience was indeed very cute and pleasing to look at. We will definitely go back to try some of their other food items. God bless

Yelp
Service was excellent, food was amazing . Tacos were the best I've had in a long time time, they were perfectly seasoned, the tortillas were great and the green/ red sauce was the cherry on top .

Yelp
Please! If you're visiting Vegas or live here and you're looking for some authentic tasting vegan place, look no further than Soy Mexican! It's located in the Mercado at Boulevard mall not far from the strip. There's a private entrance at the back of the mall so it makes for super quick access. I've been to all vegan Mexican spots out here and this one takes the cake! Their tortillas are fresh and delicious, their rice, beans and salsa are scrumptious and their vegan meat choices are seasoned perfectly that vegans and non-vegans alike can enjoy a hot plate from this place! Service is always polite and the ambiance is what you would expect from a nice Mexican eatery! 10/10 my go to. Definitely recommend

Yelp
This place is still one of my absolute favorite Vegan taco shops around town!!!!!!!!!

Yelp
Mexican Veggie-Vegan food is delicious! It's amazing they were featured as #14 on Las Vegas Eats Top 50 Restaurants in 2020. You'll find them located at The Boulevard Mall on Maryland and Twain, inside El Mercado Food Court, and there's plenty of seating available. Menu offers all plant-based items including tacos, chilaquiles, pambazo, and burritos. For starters, Aguacate Relleno ($10.99) is delightful and fulfilling! It's stuffed avocado with pico de gallo, cheese, and chorizo that's flavorful and good, served with a fluffy Spanish rice and yummy refried beans. Potato taquito ($3.25) is a terrific snack for a crunchy taco roll, it has shredded lettuce, cheese, and pico de gallo. Chorizo and Pastor tacos ($2.75) are also delicious! Vegan meat is tender and they give a generous portion served on double crisp golden tortillas with lime wedge, red and green salsa. Overall service from Carolina and Nicole was welcoming, attentive, and very friendly. They're in a spacious and festive food court. The place is clean and food is always made fresh!

Yelp
Location: inside El Mercado food court inside The Boulevard Mall Pro tip: drive around to the back side of the mall and park in the parking garage. Those side/back entrances by the parking garage open right into the food court area. SoyMexican has been around for many years in Las Vegas. They have gone from location to location and I'm so happy they have this area now in the mall. Trust me, it's worth the trip and you can skip the WHOLE MALL part like I know you want to. They have tables set up in the food court area and even a bar if you want to grab a beer before or after your meal (I think you have to drink the beer inside the bar area even though it's like right there). OK--THE FOOD-- Can't go wrong with any of the street tacos. Chef's kiss. Chilaquiles? Freaking fire. Chimichanga? AMAZING. Order it wet style with half green & half red sauce. Thank me later. Enchiladas... might be my favorite!! They also have fun things like tortas, tostadas, regular burritos, quesadillas, sopas, etc. I will eventually eat the entire menu. I'm almost there. Their salsa is also very delicious so I put that shit on everything.
google avatar

Colleen K.

Yelp
The food was great! I had the Guac and chips, horchata, and the asada chimichanga. All of it made fresh! The restaurant itself was hard to find. It is in The Boulevard. You go into The Boulevard entrance and then head towards El Mercado. If you are standing in front of El Mercado mall entrance go to the walkway all the way to the left. Go all the way down until it dead ends into the food court.
google avatar

Juan F.

Yelp
Taco Tuesday deal was extremely worth it and the quesadillas were seasoned and made to perfection. Will be returning to try everything else on the menu. Staff was attentive and friendly

Yelp
Okay... so I was born and raised in east Los Angeles. My abuelita was from Guadalajara, MX. What I'm trying to say is that living in LA with a Mexican grandma, I ate bomb Mexican food at home as well as in the streets of LA. I was on Maryland Pkwy and this place popped up. It's located in the Mercado in the Boulevard Mall. The Mercado looks like at one time it was a department store but now it's full of tiny shops and boutiques. All of the food stores looked pretty yummy but I was there for vegan tacos and this place did not disappoint. I had the potato tacos, and tacos de rajas. Which is sautéed bell pepper tacos. I also too a bean and cheese burrito with me for the road. Definitely a must try spot if you want vegan tacos in Las Vegas.
google avatar

Shannon S.

Yelp
It was okay sadly. I just got a bean/cheese/rice burrito or something like that? I know I got the simplest one on the menu. I think the vegan cheese had a weird texture/flavor in it and the beans weren't that tasty.... I don't know. I know that sounds silly but for vegan food the basic items of a meal are the star haha. The burrito itself was wrapped and toasted perfectly and was a great size. I just think the inside was not it. The drinks aren't served with ice which I feel are one of the main reasons people love getting drinks when they're out. My bf and I got a horchata and it made us want to cough constantly haha. It was also a bit difficult to find the spot. It's not in the main food court area of the mall but where the Latino shopping area is? It's really nice over there but I had no idea it was in there. Seems obvious now.
google avatar

Jodie O.

Yelp
Amazing amazing amazing!! All vegan I got there al pastor wet burrito and their carne Asada fries. Both were amazing. The carne Asada fries very much remind me of fries I used to have in California. It's the closest carne Asada fries I've had to the real thing, to what I remember at least. They used to have a stand somewhere else near the strip but now they are in the Boulevard malls El Mercado area! Definitely go show them support! And try their amazing food everyone!!
google avatar

Sophie D.

Yelp
Amazing food, amazing service, good portions, and fair prices. Love to go on lunch dates with my friends here, plus it's in a great location where everyone can eat what they want. I think the Taco de Guisado with Asada is the best item, but I haven't been unhappy with any item I've tried in any time I've visited
google avatar

Jessica H.

Yelp
Las Vegas has a ton of amazing Mexan food, and ton of amazing vegan food, so it's no surprise they also have amazing vegan Mexican food. But I think SoyMexican may even be the best vegan Mexican food I've EVER had, Las Vegas or elsewhere. I grew up in Texas so I'm super picky about Mexican food. This place nails it. Great taste, very authentic, good value for money, and friendly staff. OK, so for starters they've moved since I was last in Vegas. They used to be an outdoor food stall near Dino's on Las Vegas Blvd near the Stratosohere. That's gone now and they're now located in the food court at the El Mercado section of the Boulevard Mall at 3542 S Maryland Pkwy. So if you see an address for SoyMexican on Las Vegas Blvd, ignore it and put in 3542 S Maryland Pkwy instead. That will take you to the Boulevard shopping mall. When you walk in the shopping mall, head for the bright colors of the Mercado side of the mall, which has a ton of fun products from Latin America. (You can shop after you eat! Vegan tacos are more important.) Then head to the back of the Mercado, where there is a little food court and a stage and live music (at least when I was there on a Saturday afternoon). Felt like I was in Mexico with the music, the authentic food, and all the Spanish being spoken around me! So much fun. Ok so now the food. I've had a variety of their tacos and burritos and they've all been delicious and taste exactly like street food I had in various trips to Mexico pre-vegan. Honestly I don't think meat-eaters would be at all disappointed here. They have some soy-based mock meats, which usually I don't like as well as seitan-based mock meats because of the faint soy aftertaste, but honestly I couldn't taste any aftertaste this time. They also have non-mock-meat options if you prefer beans, mushrooms, etc. The top 4 options under the "Tacos" heading are all mock meats, and then the Rajas are mushroom tacos and the Nopales are the cactus tacos. The $9 burrito can also be filled with any of these (I chose Asada this time) or you can do a cheaper rice and beans burrito. I haven't yet tried the enchiladas, quesadillas, chimichangas, taquitos, or anything else on the menu, just the tacos and burritos. I liked the tacos better than the burritos but I don't know which is my favorite -- they were all great. They are smallish (street taco size) so you will probably need 3-4 to fill you up. They're only $2.50 each so still good value for money. They give you a variety of salsas and lime wedges so you can flavour your tacos however you like. Next time I'm in Vegas I'll try more options from here and update my review :) Definitely seek this place out if you're in Vegas!! You will not regret it.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible my fiance (meat eater) says this is the most legit Vegan Mexican yet
google avatar

Steven M.

Yelp
It's not every day that you wander inside of a place like Mercado (which is located inside of the Boulevard Mall) and find a really cool food court in the back of, but this is Las Vegas so cool things just seem to happen here. Among the many cool places to eat here, I found myself placing my order at SoyMexican Veggie-Vegan Eatery, a top notch taco place offering vegan options on a bunch of different Mexican dishes. Up until this point, I have never seen or heard of a Pambazo, but that's the thing that pulled me in and will have me coming back again. The Vegan Pambazo is a super fluffy (might not be the best word to use, but the bread was extremely fluffy) torta full of chorizo, potatoes, lettuce, cheese, and sour cream (all vegan, obviously). This thing was absolutely delicious from first bite to last, and I can't believe it was the first one I ever consumed. Some of the best bread I've ever had, as well as an amazing torta overall. I also had a pastor taco and that was dang good as well, just a little outshined by the Pambazo I had. Overall, SoyMexican Veggie-Vegan Eatery is one of the best vegan spots in Las Vegas to do Mexican. Is the location convenient? Not entirely, but the Boulevard Mall has a ton of cool stuff inside that it's very much worth checking out. This place is highly worth coming too!

Yelp
Super tasty vegan taco . Taco Tuesday buy 1 get one free . Super great people . Located inside the Boulevard Mall Mercado section . Park in the back is easier. They have plant based options as well as soy . I can't wait to come back :)

Donna S.

Yelp
The food was great! Especially the crunchy taco! We will definitely order from here again!

Mesha J.

Yelp
Got here 20mins till and he said they turned the grill off now any other time i come they are still taking orders up until 9pm
google avatar

Veronica S.

Yelp
THE BEST VEGAN TACOS in Vegas!! No shade to tacotarian, but definitely no comparison to the close Authentic taste of Mexican cuisine. I order from here at least once a week. my carnivore husband Loves these tacos and the Loaded fries. Their sopes, tortas, burritos, the Salsas!!! Everything is so bomb, their hard shell tacos de picadillo made my sister hit the Ratatouille Nostalgic memory taste of my mothers picadillo flavor. SERIOUSLY do yourself a favor and obsess over this place just as much as I do.
google avatar

Darion J.

Yelp
Amazing food for starters even if you're not vegan you should try, wouldn't regret it. Service is excellent every time I place an order rather if it's online or in person great staff. If you're just stopping by or shopping ambiance is great very great for family and friends 10 out of 10.

Yelp
Mexican Vegan Food! We tried every single taco they had! They were all very good. The staff is friendly and very kind. Their meals are prepared with just enough love that it can fill you up with joy as their mouth watering ingredients leave you wanting more. It's pure gluttony for me; had I stayed a little longer: I totally would have been eating way more than a dozen tacos! Think of Mexican Style Street Food only super healthy and good for your soul! Stop by the next time your are in Las Vegas and enjoy what the Mercado has to offer you. May Soy Mexican Live on Forever!

Household A.

Yelp
I used to love their food until they melted plastic foam onto the bottom of my tacos. I contacted them twice about this because I didn't want it to happen again. Not only did they not apologize, they chose to blow me off completely. I previously left a review saying how nice the owners are. How I wish I could remove that now!!
google avatar

Brenda B.

Yelp
UPDATE: this is my third time here in three days!! I am addicted to this place! On Tuesdays, they have buy one get one taco free!
google avatar

Maria C.

Yelp
A well deserved 5 star review for some of the best Mexican food you'll ever eat. We went on a Sunday afternoon and I was craving enchiladas so I opted for the mushroom enchiladas with half red and half green sauce. We also tried the Jamaica drink. Everything was amazing and hard to believe it was vegan. Overall highly recommend if you're looking got a plant based, healthier eatery.
google avatar

Andre E.

Yelp
so, despite the fact that this establishment is located in the defunct boulevard mall, this place has some of the best vegan restaurant food i have ever had. the customer service was awesome and the food was even better. now before i tell you my food suggestions here are some important tips to find this establishment because it is tricky. when you pull into the parking lot enter the main entrance to the boulevard mall. look for the el mercato sign directly ahead as you walk in. walk straight down the narrow corridor till you can't walk any further in a straight line. make a slight left turn and go around the corner and you will see the establishment. i highly recommend the street tacos and the quesadilla. eat, drink, and be merry, my friends!!!!
google avatar

Syvannah L.

Yelp
SO BOMB!! Inside a little mall area and seating is food court style. Very affordable and good options. Quick service and the cashier is really nice and gave us a water bottle when we asked for water cups. My boyfriend got five tacos and I got a nopales taco with the enchiladas. I wish this was in california bc I would go all the time.
google avatar

Tiffona S.

Yelp
While in Vegas, I've search for really good Vegan food. I had great luck with this Mexican food spot. The tacos were delicious and filling. I choose three and devoured them. I ordered rice and beans to go for a midnight snack. The location is in the mall so i grabbed some grub before going to check out The Woman King which was also great! An all around great find! I recommend! Asada Tacos, Pastor Taco & Piccadillo Taco

Yelp
Amazing!!!!!! Hands down one of the best moles I've had. I'm so happy to have found this place. Locating it wasn't easy but it was worth the journey. My new go to spot for enchiladas while in LV.
google avatar

Connie R.

Yelp
I had given up on finding good vegan Mexican food here in Vegas. Everything I tried was delicious. I personally don't like horchata but even that was delish!
google avatar

Anthony G.

Yelp
Best Mexican Vegan in Vegas! Great service and fun atmosphere. Price are very affordable and the portions are large. Give it a try with your family.
google avatar

Jeremy B.

Yelp
Best vegan Mexican food in Vegas, hands down! A hidden gem! I got the asada tacos, they were delicious. Chimichanga was perfect, no other words to describe it. Fried perfectly. Both salsas were bomb. Great service. Can't wait to come back again!
google avatar

Nathan T.

Yelp
One of my favorite places in vegas. Their wet burrito is outstanding. Really nice people too. Kinda hard to find but if you park way in the back structure. Door is right there!
google avatar

Victoria H.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. I'm from southern California and know what good tacos taste like. No matter if you are vegan or not, you should try this place. The service was really great, Salsa bomb, nopales fresh, tortillas perfection. I'm definitely coming back the next time I'm in Vegas.

Rose N.

Yelp
My sister picked up Food from this place through DoorDash order. Although the food was good, they served it in styrofoam and once we ate a piece and saw that it was completely melted through the bottom it grossed us out and we had to trash the rest of the food. Everything was styrofoam from our order. We'd like a refund ---

Sadie M.

Yelp
The food was great! My favorite being the pastor sope! The salsas were great and everything was fresh. I loved the food court and the overall vibe. The person who took our order was nice and the served our food to our table. I give this place 5 stars! I love seeing vegan options to the foods we've grown up loving!
google avatar

Jenny G.

Yelp
Hidden gem I would say! Stopped by after work and order a couple of tacos. The service was fast and I would definitely come back again. I was craving some tacos and I def got my taco fix!

Yelp
If you're vegan, vegetarian, or just looking to reduce your meat/dairy intake, SoyMexican is the f**king BEST veg food in Las Vegas! I've never in my life had such well-priced, high-quality, authentic vegan Mexican food. I've tried so much off of the menu (burritos, fries, enchiladas, tacos, quesadillas, etc.), and not once have I been disappointed. SoyMexican has the best of the best when it comes to vegan asada fries! I love the chorizo fries as well. The portion is huge for the price and so f**king delicious. I sadly have no photos because I eat them the second I get them. I also love the hongos burrito (picture attached). The owner always gives plenty of delicious salsa and has been super personable every time I call in an order. There is no area to dine so I always call ahead and pick up later. My food is always fresh and the owner checks in with me, ensuring I've had a good experience. One time he even gave me a free taco because of Taco Tuesday :) My boyfriend is Mexican and he absolutely loves SoyMexican, too! He is not even plant-based but we both have cravings for the chorizo fries from SoyMexican. We even got his parents some tacos and they loved it - though they both eat meat. The authenticity in the food is unique to SoyMexican when compared to other vegan Mexican spots in Vegas. I'm extremely loyal to SoyMexican and am excited for them to open up again soon. Follow them on Instagram to get timely updates in regard to their hours/specials. You'll have delicious food for a great price with a real authentic experience. 100% come here!!!

Yelp

Yelp
Loved finding this hidden gem of a vegan place inside the Mercado. Lovely and friendly staff. Make sure to get the horchata. It's incredible.
