We came out for our anniversary. We booked a room over the phone. Stayed in the newer side. When checking in the front of the building does need to be updated. But over all staff was very friendly and everything was clean in lobby. When we arrived to our room it was not ready yet. We arrived at little after 3p. Shortly afterwards my husband received a call from the office letting us know the room was done. Bed is comfy, bathroom is clean. Hot tubs are awesome.

You come here for the hot springs. Every night the empty the pools in every morning they refill them straight from the spring. There is no chlorine no fluoride, but tons of beneficial mineral content. You can look at the website to see the exact mineral load that was tested but I will tell you I'm not one to believe in superstitions or things like that, however I do believe that this water does heal you. I come here every time I'm feeling yucky. From back aches to even colds I come here. I even came here after surgery after nothing else would heal my wound. There are three different pools two outside and one inside. They get progressively hotter until you get in the inside one which is a bit hotter than your average hot tub. It's open year round and is quite neat in the middle of the winter to go out into the hot springs and see snow falling and yet be warm. If you were in the area I highly highly recommend you come here at least once

When i called for a reservation 3 days in advance the clerk told me we are not busy no need for a reservation just come on in. I then drive 400 miles, get there and they are sold out. Then they ask if I had a reservation. I told her what happened and she didn't even apologize. So I was pissed and left and went to helena mt. For the 2 days I was going to spend there. What a great decision that was.

Google
I’m trying to be polite. This is an EXTREMELY overpriced motel. The rooms (both of them) smell bad, are stuck in the 1980s, and we were given a dog poop bag for our wet bathing suit. I do kind of still like popcorn ceilings, though. But $170 for a night in a room that should cost $85…..not worth it. The hot pool is PIPING hot so that’s a plus.

Google
The place was very clean. We pitched a tent in a nice shady spot. $20 per person to use the pools seems a little high. No discount for campers.

Pool was clean, room was clean. One BIG concern was bathroom and sink area (in new section) there is not safe mats for this area. Especially exiting the shower. I fell, even though a Matt was provided it was not adequate. I I jured my knee requiring surgery! The front desk when told about this was NOT helpful, acted like they didn’t care. I really like this motel. Just a word of caution TAKE YOUR OWN MAT to prevent falls. The tile on the floors are VERY slippery!

Google
Called to make reservations 2 days prior to trip . Was told not necessary as they're not busy for the nights in question. We still asked to make reservations and he said not needed just com in . Drove 300 miles , got there and guess what. NO ROOMS AVAILABLE. NO APOL8GY NOTHING . I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE

Google
Such a fun base for adventure: skiing, hiking, hunting, floating, and more. The three pools are perfect for soaking, morning noon or evening. We have stayed in the winter and in the summer, and the outdoor and indoor options are perfect for both.

Yelp
Very clean and relaxing with awesome restaurants in walking distance!! They drain and clean the pools (3) every night! A great small town!

Yelp
I recognize that $130/room is a deal in today's economy but I've stayed in nicer Motel 6s back in my college days. Ugh. We stayed here specifically for the hot springs. Mistake #1. I didn't book soon enough to get rooms in the new section. Mistake #2 The hot springs are indeed hot. There are three pools. We only used the two outside as they were plenty hot enough for our group. I did not acclimate to the sulphur smell but sounds like most people do. The pools seemed dirty despite being drained each night. The stained liner added to the appearance of poor upkeep. And the swarming mosquitoes (not the hotel's fault, obviously) made our time there miserable. The staff person who checked us in was disinterested and unhelpful. The rooms were clean but otherwise awful. I'm not opposed to old but unkept is another story. The laminated furniture was bubbled up all over the place. The carpet was literally coming up at the edges and missing in places. The bathroom window had no covering with a two story building just across the way. The shower curtain in the RV sized shower was too short so basically ineffectual. Lightbulbs were out and the provided travel sized toiletries were random. Should we decide to try the hot springs again, we'll be looking at other options in town. The convenience of staying on site isn't worth it.

Yelp
This place just rocks!!!! I'm a retro kind of guy, and this place does the trick. I feel like I step back in time a bit with these accommodations and that's exactly the way I like it. Great atmosphere, great people, and the pools rock. Well worth the price of admission. I stayed in the motel and found it to be the perfect weekend getaway.

Yelp
We have been coming here for decades for thanksgiving week and hunting. Never fails to impress us. The owner is wonderful and we watch the crap she has to put up with other guests. She is an Angel! Great room service, Hot Springs are natural so expect natural smells and don't expect a crystal clear pool!!!! Within walking distance of EVERYTHING! Heater always working well in our "same ole room"! Just a pleasure to to visit here every year and see such great service! James from Idaho

Yelp
We visited on a weekend, which may have been our error. The place was packed! We hung out in the mid-heat level pool. Water was nice! (Teenage couple making out in the pool wasn't so nice...but anyway...) Shower rooms were ok. More like a high school gym than a "spa". Wet towels on the floor, folks had left their clothes and shoes on the benches. No locks for the lockers, so we retuned to our car to lock our valuables up. Overall a fun experiences!

Yelp
Buyer beware! One of their employees went through our bags and stole cash and RX medications. When confronted, the management acted like they knew who had maybe taken our belongings but wouldn't lift a finger to look into it. We lost close to $1000. The hot springs are kind of fun but they are not worth it if you are going to be surrounded by dishonest employees and complacent employers. We don't ever leave reviews, and especially not negative ones, but honestly- don't stay here!

Yelp
I come here often as I live nearby, rarely do I stay but I did last week. We stay in the older part because we have dogs. Beds are super comfortable and I always sleep great after a good soak. I, personally, LOVE the sulphur smell. It's what you come here for; the healing sulphuric water. Those that complain about it, go take a bath at home and save us the trouble of hearing you be a Karen. As far as the WiFi goes.... Did you come to the springs just for the WiFi? Get a life. I had no issues with it and, honestly, rarely even connect as there is plenty of cell service. The main reason I am writing this review is to let them know that when we were still in our room, getting dressed (had clearly not checked out), house keeping barged in on us. No knock, no "housekeeping", nothing. Considering this person does this as their job, you'd think they'd know basic protocol of the job. Had she been a few minutes earlier, she would've seen something not so "G" rated if ya know what I mean So PLEASE, let your housekeepers know to, at least, knock before entering a room. Any room for that matter, but especially a hotel room.

Yelp
Traveled 2hrs with 3 children and checked into our cabin (T111) at approx. 3:30PM on Saturday, 03/25/2023 and immediately changed into our suits to soak in the spring. As soon as we sat down in the water we noticed there was a disgusting amount of dead skin floating all around us. As gross as it sounds, I tried to ignore it and pretend it did not exist, but then my son went to exit the pool and his shorts were COVERED in it. I was appaulled as were the 3 teen boys, which says a lot coming from them. We were only in the water MAYBE 10 minutes when we called it and left. I politely went into the office waiting for other patrons to leave before asking how often the water was changed. The woman at the desk said every night and when I asked if there was any filtration because I explained how nasty the water was, she claimed she wasn't sure and just said it's been busy and there are a LOT of people there today. The pool to the left that I was in was not full while we were there, but admittedly the other one was quite full which is why I did not opt for it. We decided we would not return to the spa and just shower in our cabin and look for something else to do in town...which isn't much considering it's winter. However, I was the first one in the shower and I could not get any hot/warm water. I tried turning on the right faucet thinking maybe I had it backwards, but it was immediately apparent that water felt like it came out of a frozen lake so I went back to the left faucet and just had to make due with water that had just enough chill out of it to quickly rinse myself off. Then it was the turn for the next 3 children - all in cold water. At this point I considered packing up and asking for a refund as $144.00 is quite a good chunk of money for such a poor experience (not to mention the money we spent in fuel and food for this trip), but I am not normally the type to ask and I really wanted to make the trip work. So I lay on the bed and scroll through my phone only to look over at the wall next to the bed and there is something dried to the wall and at that point I had enough. We packed up our belongings and went to the office. Again, I politely waited for other guests to leave the area and I explained our situation to the same woman at the front office. Her first response was, "So what do you want?" with a bit of a pissy attitude. Being kind I said that I'd ultimately like a full refund, but even half would be fine as I understand that technically we got to go inside and we used some towels (Consider it an expensive lesson learned to never return). She said all she could do was check us out of the room and the owners would have to call me later that evening upon their return to the office to discuss a refund. We then left and as we drove away my boys informed me that the beds were nasty. I asked why they thought that and they said while I was in the shower they had pulled the bed cover back while watching TV and there was hair all over and a brown spot so they just pulled the cover back up. Boys! I wish they had told me that sooner. No call from the owners Sat or Sun so I try to call multiple times throughout the day Monday and cannot seem to get through - no voice-mail option - it was almost like the line was dead as it would not even ring. So Tuesday I send a basic email requesting they call me regarding a request for refund - did not include this lengthy explanation as I figured we would discuss it over the phone. Again, no response. So Thursday I sent another follow-up email and then all I received was a response "a partial refund was refunded to your visa". Nothing else. No apologies for the conditions, no how can we make this right, not even stating what the partial amount was. So I log into my bank account logically thinking I'll see at least half of the $144 stay and to my shock and dismay it was less at only $60. To say I feel like we were duped is an under statement. $84 to soak in a cesspool for 10 minutes, forced to rinse in cold water & a filthy room (3hrs max in/out). What a disgrace. Be better.

Yelp
We always try to get here at least 2 times a year to just get away, and it's a great relaxing place. We stay in the new part of the place, the rooms are always clean and very roomy. Stayed in the older part once was very old school and not very roomy but it's good if your by yourself. The price is good, people are always friendly. There doing remodeling now hope to improve things. We love coming here.

Ami R.

Yelp
The pet friendly rooms I don't think have changed in 20 years, they're exactly how I remember. Not necessarily the cleanest but the bedding was clean. Great to soak in the tubs, I love that they drain and refill each day. Friendly employees.

Yelp
The only reason this motel gets 2 stars is because of the three (2 outdoor, 1 indoor) hot spring pools, otherwise this place is a disorganized 1 star motel at best (at best!!!!!!). The rooms are divided into an old and new section, we unfortunately stayed in the old part...so that probably will also swing my vote into the negative. PRO: -three sulphury (stink!) pools of varying degrees of heat from comfortable to cooking you as soup -on the main road through downtown -not over priced for what you get?? (subjective, clearly) CON: -staff at the front desk are totally inept, especially when it comes to multitasking and/or trouble shooting the WiFi (direct quote: "I've never used the WiFi here at work *shrug*") -piss poor WiFi, like the absolute worst I've ever dealt with -total Bates Motel feel, except with itsy-bitsy stand up showers that are almost impossible to turn around in -non motel guests can pay to use the hot spring pools The hot spring pools are indeed relaxing and no one seemed to care that we were having drinks, so that's a bonus. There are bizarre murals on the walls around the pools that are borderline between ol'timey racist and painted by am eight year old, honestly its unsettling. I'm really not sure I would stay here again, but I might come and get tipsy while relaxing in the pools, therefore becoming a CON in the process.

Yelp
My wife and I tried this spa as we were staying at an RV park in town. There are 3 sulphur pools of varying heat intensity. The largest pool was our favorite as it was the coolest. The indoor spa pool was the hottest and it smelled strongly of sulphur - not our thing but maybe others enjoy it. Very little shade which is a problem. Good shower facilities and bathrooms include a spin dryer for wet bathing suits - nice!

Yelp
I was traveling cross country on my motorcycle from Cape Cod to Sturgis,my gas tank was on fumes when I pulled into this little town in the middle of no where. Checked into the motel around 4:00 PM. I was tired and sore after riding all day. The people were very friendly and the rooms were fine for what I wanted a comfortable bed and a good nights rest. The bonus was the out door spa pool It was so relaxing I spent 3 hours in the warm water looking up at the stars. It was almost spiritual..!! If your a snowflake this place isn't for you but if you enjoy the simple things in life check into the Spa Hot Springs Hotel...I recommend it to all my fellow riders who are passing through...

Yelp
Stayed here two nights first week in March. Overpriced room. Daylight showing around door with cold air flowing in. Locking doorknob loose. Spongy floor in bathroom. No coffee maker. No phone. No microwave or fridge. No breakfast. Coffee in lobby for a few hours early in morning, who wants to go outside for a cup of coffee at 6 am? Housekeeping only replaced part of towels. No way to hang wet suits in shower. $89 + tax was way overpriced for midweek in March. I stayed at Shiloh Inn in Helena the next two nights for $50/night. The only things making this stay worthwhile were the scenery getting there and being able to walk out the door into the hot pool. The pools themselves are awesome for soaking and relaxing. I would take my mother but there is no wheel chair accessibility equipment for getting in and out of any of the pools. If they lower their price and add amenities they would increase their visitation and overnight occupancy.

Yelp
When you think "spa", this is probably not the first thing that pops into your mind, unless you're from this part of Montana. But that being said, the hot springs are AWESOME. There is a hotel and associated indoor hot pool and cooler, but still warm outdoor pool. The pools are drained and cleaned daily and refilled with water from the local mineral springs. The smell can be.... pungent. This is a popular spot for weekend getaways for people in Montana. It's also popular with hunters during the hunting season. You can get a day pass for $4.50 per adult, which includes a small towel, so you may want to bring your own. If you stay at the hotel, use of the pools are free. The staff is very helpful and there's an ATM in the lobby. I just wish the locker rooms were a bit bigger, the shower stall are TINY.

Yelp
For reference we stay at the Spa at least once a year. This year we have stayed at the Spa 3 days in July and now 2 in August. We always stay in the older part because we usually have a dog with us. This stay was like a trip to the Twilight Zone. We checked in to room 101 right next to the street. I thought it was going to be noisy but was nicely surprised how quiet it was. My daughter was the 1st to use the toilet and found that the toilet seat was broken away from the toilet. So she called the office and explained what had happened. She told Annie(one of the owners) that it needed a new toilet seat. She was told that it would be fixed the next day. We left early the next morning and returned around 8:00 pm. I rushed into the room badly in need of the bathroom to find that the toilet seat had be removed but not replaced! I had no choice but to sit on the rim. My daughter went to the office and spoke with Annie again, they hadn't gotten a seat yet but that they had cleaned the room for us!! She seemed amazed that we had a problem using the toilet with out a seat! We had 2 little girls so we needed a toilet seat! She was annoyed and finally offered a new room. So lucky us we got to pack up and move 4 people to a new room with no help at 9:00 pm with 2 little girls. I have never been so angry and disgusted. We will never stay there again.

Yelp
Okay...hard to be completely fair and objective, when this historic hot springs means alot to this town. Parts are modern, parts are updated, linens and towels nice, staff friendly, and all seemed clean. But many parts of the old building could seriously use some tlc. Some of these were not even that costly to change out. Main lobby is crappy looking, to be honest. Rubber matting needs to be replaced. Some other cosmetic simple things could be done without much money. But the water and pools were very enjoyable, and since it does feel clean, if you are in town, you should go!

Yelp
My wife and I spent the night here on 10/2/20. There are signs all over that say no alcohol in the pool or pool area. That night about 50% or more of adults in the pools were drinking. About 9:30 or so a group came in from a nearby bar and were already hammered. They brought a cooler full of beer and drinks in plastic cups that look like they were from the bar. They kept drinking in the pools with beer cans around the edge. The owner was standing in the window watching but he was too cowardly to say anything. They were loud, and obnoxious even during the so called "quiet hours." There was also numerous families there with kids. We saw seven small children under 5 that had to listen to the drunks as well. There was also a guy there with his wife that was so drunk he fell down on the cement. The next morning we met a woman in the pools who said she knew the owners and said the husband was a coward. She said she had loud, drunk bikers next to her that kept her up till 1:00 am. We are done with this place. There are other hot springs that don't put up with that crap and cater to good people that just want to relax. Soon this place will be known as drunk springs

Yelp
Great customer service. I had an older gift certificate (more than 10 years old) for a 2 night stay that they didn't have any record of, but they actually honored the certificate! The water was wonderful and we had a very relaxing time.

Yelp
Edited for more information: Thinking I may have been a little rash in my initial judgement I decided to chance one more visit. The pools were back to just slightly scuzzy, in other words, tolerable. The real issue is that the owner (and I was misinformed here, the owner has been the same since 1988) wanted to confront me. This is the "make it or break it" moment for any business, how you deal with criticism/complaint/honest issue. Excellent companies, those that have stellar reputations, simply do what's needed to make it right, whatever "it" is. I've seen hotel rooms comped, airfare refunded, and no-cost replacement of items. This time was not one of those positive encounters. It was a lecture about how I was wrong... I was wrong about their ownership (and promptly said "Sorry about that, I was misinformed"), how they (SIC) 'set the standards in Montana' for their pools, and how their pools are cleaned nightly. Meanwhile, the owner said they had ~150 guests (no clarification on hotel or pool users) the day it was the worst and the owners wife admitted it was more dirty than usual that night. Ok, I guess that's a round-about way of admitting what I already knew, but the accusatory tone that accompanied the information made it somehow seem that I was wrong for telling things they way they were. I was accused of not tracking down the owner, despite the fact that I mentioned the issue to the on-duty staff and was ignored or at least she had no reply. The whole confrontation ended with my walking out, calmly and never having raised my voice or engaged in the argument, and being called a loudmouth before being told I was banned. I do find the last bits particularly amusing as why in the World would I want to offer money to be treated this way again? The last visit was simply because we had a pre-paid card. The saddest part? The thing that provoked the above incident could have been Completely neutralized very simply. "I'm sorry the pools weren't to your standards those nights. We were very busy and will figure out how to prevent the same situation in the future", or something along those lines. But you'd think that someone who's owned the business for 26 years would know by now that there are busy weekends and the cleaning system is overwhelmed on those weekends. You'd think that when a minor renovation was done with the addition of a new pool and more rooms, that you might need to upgrade the filtration system as well. Or, maybe they did and there was a Real issue where it wasn't functioning ~ in that case it's probably a good idea to investigate once you know it's an issue (and it is an issue, when another local is grumbling about the conditions in the changing room without ever having gotten in, and multiple other guest comment to everyone in the area about the cleanliness, it's an issue). For you, this is fine and dandy, just a single review. But consider what happens if you come in and find that your room hasn't been cleaned well/to your standards or the prior guest left you some "leftovers" that the cleaning staff missed? I mean, cleaning staff can have off days. How are they going to deal with your complaints? It's my guess that you'll be told that it's "impossible, our cleaning staff has been doing it for 20+ years", and worst case you'll be told to leave immediately. Is it worth the risk? Original review: 20 years after my first visit (and roughly 5~10 soaks a year), I've had my last at this place. The pools were so disgusting last night that I couldn't even bring myself to get in. First time ever that I've seen a Thick layer of scum on the 2 outdoor pools (which was present on Friday 2/14 and obviously hadn't been touched/cleaned until I went again on Monday 2/17), clumps of hair mixed with other 'stuff'. I have seriously never seen it so filthy before. I suspect that the newest owners are raising prices, cutting services/quality and just looking to ride the prior good reviews until they've milked it for all it's worth and then dump the property on someone else. So, be warned. This WAS a place worthy of the reviews found online, but has taken a marked turn for the worse. I was in the changing room with another local last night who also couldn't bring himself to get into the water and was shocked at just how much the place had changed (for the worse) in the last few years. Even considering the newer outdoor pool. It's a difference between a one time effort and caring about the place Daily. Guess I'll be putting my own hot tub to use more often now.

Yelp
Never spent the night so don't know the motel. The natural hot springs are nice. Plenty of room to soak in. No chemical added to the water. But the dressing brought this rating down. The dressing room are disgusting. There out of the 1950s. Rusted materials, smelly, humid, disgusting. Changing area is a small 10 x 20 tight room. Don't drop anything on the floor and bend over... Lol

Yelp
I went here with some friends for a week of hunting. I expected to be "roughing it" but not for $105.00 per night. They advertise free WiFi. Had zero WiFi. When I asked the staff what was wrong I was told that it 'doesn't work very well in the section I was staying in, if at all. During my six night stay the room was not cleaned on one occasion. When I asked the clerk about it I was told "she told me she cleaned it before she went home sick". No apology. The room had two heaters. One heater was noisy with three settings. Only two of them worked. The other heater had two settings on and off. Our room was labeled "No Smoking" but the carpet had numerous burn holes in it. The spa and pool are not just for motel guests, it is open to the public for a nominal fee. I would have changed motels but all others were booked. I would sleep in my truck before I would stay here again.

Yelp
Love the Hot springs at the Spa Hotel. Nice little gem in town. You can also buy handcrafted soaps made locally from the mineral water. Nice and relaxing. The water is drained every night, which is nice. The con: I hate the changing rooms! Could be nicer and more user friendly. Perhaps small cubbies or lockers.

Yelp
The waters of White Sulphur Springs are completely life changing. My husband and I have spent some of our most memorable experiences here in these magical healing waters including: much of the week we arrived to Montana, our honeymoon, anniversaries, birthdays, pretty much every holiday or special occasion we are in town for, whenever friends from out of state visit and any day of the week we can make the drive. For us, the spring is more than a place to relax it's a place of contemplation, reflection, and meditation. It's also a place where we can feel healed from the world emotionally and physically. We try to incorporate the waters in our lives as much as possible including collecting the water to take home with us to drink and bathe in. This review is completely based on the quality of the water, how sentimental it is to us and how appreciative we are to the owners for keeping this place open, running and affordable. We've stayed in the hotel and it's no frills. It is what it is. We've been here when it's busy (accidentally, while Red Ants Pants was going on) and we've been here when it's just us with all 3 pools to ourselves. Nothing can stop us from soaking here. And if you see it for what it truly is there are no complaints to be made.

Yelp
LOVE this place! Very comfortable and quiet. 5 stars!!! The surfer sauna is amazing!!! Very relaxing and fun

Yelp
We visited the spa hot springs while on our honeymoon. We were a bit put off by the facilities when we got there, as everything is pretty run down. Also, the water does smell fairly strongly of sulphur, but we read the manifesto of the facility prior to going, and they do not add any chemicals to the spring water. We had been to Chico Hot Springs in paradise valley (close to our B&B) before, and the facilities there are better-kept, and the water doesn't have such a sulphurous odor, but once we actually got into the water, we decided the water at spa hot springs was the best in the area. The temperature was perfect. We easily got used to the sulphur smell (it's just spring water). There were only two other families there, while other hot springs have a lot of people (including screaming children). We just enjoyed the quiet and the perfect feel of the warm water. A few recommendations: bring shower shoes. You are required to shower before entering the water, and the shower facilities are like those of a public pool. Also, I would recommend bringing your own towel. I grew up going to a public pool, but I know some people can't handle that sort of atmosphere. If you can, the water at hot sulphur springs really is the best in the area and worth a visit. It's quiet, relaxing, and just what you need to soothe your aching muscles for an hour or two.

Yelp
As a Montana Family we have taken many trips over the past 20 years to enjoy the Hot Springs Spa in White Sulpher Springs MT. We have had the pleasure in past years of bringing our out of State friends as well. Until this weekend I would have taken the time to defend my choice in coming here to friends even when they argued the virtues of other Resort Hot Springs and questioned my choice in choosing Spa Hot Springs Motel. There are several amazing hot springs hotels in Montana that we have visited but always came back here because we enjoy the town and our favorite haunts. When we first arrived we were greeted by a very friendly new girl who was learning her new job she was personable and the highlight of my stay. Things quickly took a turn for the worse we found upon entering the pool area containing two pools: the water was cloudy in one pool was discolored and murky, we decided to soak in the pool closest to us. I mentioned to my husband that the there appeared to be a problem with their filtration system, We were here to relax and get out of town so I didn't give it any more thought. We brought our 12 year old son and his friend as we thought it would be a fun adventure for them, after all we had done this for years with our older children. My husband and the boys went to the larger pool that has a sprayer they swam and played for awhile we sat in the lounge chairs and moved back and forth between the pools, my son shared his floatation device he brought from home with other pool patrons. I decided to enter the pool with the sprayer where my husband and children were. Upon entering the pool I noticed what appeared to be a small amount of human excrement floating in the pool, I did not how ever examine it closely for obvious reasons. I immediately exited the pool and encourage the rest of my family to do the same, quietly with out drama left the pool and decided to hang out in the hotel room. We enjoyed a clean room and cable tv, we also enjoyed the local park and dinner in a local diner, as usual they were great. My husband talked about the two pools, the smaller one hair balls and insect parts floating in in it something one might expect to find in an out door pool but the concern over the filtration system's apparent failure to keep the pool clean was my largest concern. After being out of the pools for the better part of the evening we decided to see if things had improved hoping the filtration had kicked in my husband I sat in the smaller while the 12 year olds were in the adjacent pool in our eye sight the entire time. My husband decided he didn't want to be in the pools so we decided to leave: I called to the boys to get out of the pool I walked over to meet the boys who were walking towards me when one of the owners asked my boys what room they were staying in? I let her know we were in room 101, I asked her if something was wrong? She falsely accused me of leaving my children unattended at the pool all evening and went as far as to say she had been babysitting them all evening. I quickly corrected her and let her know my husband and I had been in the pool area the entire time they were there. Not only was she falsely accusatory she was aggressive and unprofessional as well as out right wrong. We left the pool area and were told by two female guest that they too had been yelled at by the owner, and that they felt she had acted like a jerk. Personally I wanted to drive the 95 miles home and sleep in my own bed and put the day behind me: but my husband wanted to sleep, so we did and promptly left in the morning. I was very dissatisfied with my experience here from the filth in the pools to the unprofessional demeanor I can no longer argue the virtue this establishment and sadly will never darken the door of this place again. Not a reflection of Montana we would want our out of state visitors and locals to exsperince.

Yelp
We are... or rather WERE... regular customers of the Spa Hot Springs. The last few visits have left a very bad impression. The employees provide decent customer service but the owners are rediculously rude. On our last visit, the wife said not one word to us and more or less threw my husband's card and receipt at him. If this had been a one-time deal, we may have been able to forgive it, but the rude attitude is a recurring problem. "Due to their recent additions" of a new motel building and new outdoor pool, they have raised prices by 40% for most people and 60% for families with small children (like us). We were absolutely digusted by the absolutely discourteous display and we will NOT be returning.

Yelp
If you want a decently priced motel ($60/2 people) that comes with free entrance to a hot springs pool, this is the place! Been to Chico? It's nice, but overpriced. This place is better! 98F outside pool, 105F inside pool, both non-chlorinated and emptied and cleaned every night. The water smells like sulphur, but it's great for your skin (and your disposition)! If you're near Townsend, MT, check this place out. Rustic compared to Holiday Inn and the like, but the service is unbeatable! Very nice people at the front desk, they let us swim until 12:30am even though the pool closes at 11pm. They also allow pets ($5/night) and have RV hookups and camping spots out back. The guy that runs the hotel also runs a chiropractic and acupuncture clinic on-site. Of course, if you're just passing through and have some time to spare, it's only $4.50 per adult to swim as long as you like, and they rent towels and suits for $1 as well.

Yelp
We didn't stay at the motel but went to the Springs for the day. The pools are three different temperatures, $7 per adult, and we could bring in our own water and snacks. Not the fanciest place but after 10 minutes in the water we didn't care!

Yelp
The staff was great to work with. Had a large group and they assisted with and met all their requests. Stayed in new rooms. Price is same as other hotels with similar rooms. Pools were clean.

Yelp
We live close and decided to run up snowshoeing and stay at the hot springs a few days before Christmas. The ski hill just opened that week so it was packed. They also let walk ins pay to just soak. When its booked I'd think they try to keep it to just paying hotel guests. We bought two rooms in the new bldg but there wasn't much for heat. We were told it was because they had radiant floor heat the first time we complained shortly after arriving. We froze our butts off overnight. If you have to get extra blankets and sleep in hoodies and wool socks...its too damn cold! We complained again when we checked out and they didn't comp any part of the rooms or even apologize but were told we could have borrowed a space heater. Why didn't they tell us the first time we complained?! We have stayed here two times in years past with no problem but this time to be that cold after being outside all day in zero temps we looked forward to not being cold. Very disappointed this time.

Yelp
This Place is a dump. The rooms are like a Bad motel 6 and they charge top dollar. The Springs it self are very run down, and dirty. The Staff is very rude and It was as if we where not welcome there. I was so offended by the time I left I swore I would never go back. I would highly advise that you do not waste your money.

Yelp
good water, stay in the older side. we stayed in the "new" side and it is very nice but 138.00 with taxes a night for 2!! are you kidding me the bed was fantastic but that's a lot for middle of nowhere Montana. the water is the best I have been to other than Symes in hot springs Montana and Baden Baden Germany. fun murals and nice pools. Walls in the new side are thin.... you can hear your neighbors yelling at each other all night, if that's the case.
