Spa World Houston - Korean Spa & Sauna

I LOVE this place! Spa World is truly a gem and one of my favorite escapes. The Korean body scrub is a must—don’t be shy, it’s in the nude area, but you’ll leave feeling brand new. They scrub you down like no other, and you walk out baby-soft and glowing. The massage is great—strong, thorough, and rejuvenating—but I do wish the couples massage had a more calming touch. The lights stayed on during ours, which took away from the relaxing vibe a bit. Amenities are top-tier: there’s a bar, a tasty food menu (the corn is absolutely delicious!), and the clay ball room is my personal favorite—unique, soothing, and fun to lounge in. One huge plus: they have a Kids Club, which makes this place even better. You can fully enjoy your spa day knowing the little ones are safe, entertained, and having fun. There’s also plenty of free parking, making it super easy to plan a stress-free visit. I always leave feeling refreshed and already planning my next visit!

I really enjoyed my first time visiting Spa World yesterday through the Groupon I purchased just before arriving. I arrived around 1 pm and this was a great way to spend a rainy day treating myself. I made sure to step into and try every different room and really enjoyed them all. There were more people than I expected for a weekday but overall it was still not packed and I had a pleasant experience. I didn't try the food and golf this time so I look forward to returning and trying them next time!

Man do I love a good Korean spa. I'm not from Texas but I've been here two years and lived in many other cities. Coming from Florida in my last move I really longed for a good 24 hour spa. This mat not be 24 hours but it's got the same kind of style of amenities!! Loved it. Took my husband on his day off and surprised him with the most relaxing half day of self care. Don't hesitate try it out! Pictures of the rooftop terrace is all I got! More pictures in my updated review next time

We went for my birthday and enjoyed relaxing here. However, we were a bit limited with what we could do with the $50 general admission ticket. Overall it was still a great experience.

Omg ! I wish I would have known about this place sooner. This spa offers saunas, bath areas, scrub services, massages, food, and so much more. I spent the entire day here and reached the ultimate level of relaxation. This place will be my new off day spot. Definitely worth a try !!!

I had an absolutely great visit! Drove three hours out of my way to come try out this Korean Spa. I’ve been to a handful of different Korean Spa’s throughout the US and this one is probably the top on my list. It’s in a modern building and still has the traditional Korean Bathhouse Feel. I went on a Sunday night and it wasn’t very busy at all, which was excellent. The whole place is extremely clean. My two favorite rooms were. Clay bead room, and the forest room that smelt just like a cedar forest!

Normally, I rate high and love this place. I sent my wife and 2 daughters (Tuesday 7/28), an hour and half drive, to relax…. Far from relaxing. Felt more like a day care with kids running around every and phones blaring. I would highly recommend if you are planning a visit to call ahead and make sure there are no church, school or any other large groups with kids there for the day. I thought kids were not allowed here. This is a place for one to relax, to unplug, and recharge. That definitely didn’t happen. We might start looking for another all adult spa.. Any recommendations?

Great first time experience! Spent well over 5 hours there and still wasn’t enough time to experience everything; next time I will clear my entire day. I paid for Korean scrub Goodess 115min and Swedish 60 min massage. Also others have stated, wet area including scrubs are nude only. Cons: Excessive loud talking amongst groups, sometimes hard to tune out. Staff doesn’t enforce no talking in quiet zones.

Visited on a Tuesday evening using a Groupon with a friend. Please note that this is a Korean Spa, so the services and expectations are different from other spas in the USA. Example, shoes off, nudity sections, mindful of others. This Korean spa requires shoe removal at check-in, provides lockers (fits a backpack + large bag), and gives a uniform + 2 small towels. No phones in locker rooms (strictly enforced). Bath area: Fully nude, with showers for standing and sit down, soaking baths, saunas, and optional body scrubs. Supplies (shampoo, soap, etc.) are provided, but you can bring your own. Coed common areas: Hot rooms, ice room, restaurants (mediocre food), café, kids' area, bar, theater, and sofa lounges. Phones allowed here (not in locker rooms). There's also a tray outside the hot room to put your phone on if you're worried the heat might be too much. For sanitation, everything was clean when I went. They had a clean section for futon/pillow/seats (in locker room) and a used pile when you are done using it. Typically, what I do is: - check in - locker room - rinse and change into uniform - go explore coed area - go back to shower room to soak and shower - change into a new set of my personal clothes then go home and sleep My friend and I were here for about 5 hours on a Tuesday night. Good for couples/besties (no coed locker rooms). Staff are attentive, and amenities (tampons, toiletries) are available for purchase. Focused on heat relaxation--best for those who enjoy saunas. Or if you just want to be alone and away from everyone.

Alright everyone here's the deal. I went to this location on Saturday June 28 in search of a serene spa experience. From the second I walked into the lobby, this was not that. The lobby was so loud that the ladies at the registers had to ask a group of guys to lower their volume. If only those ladies could've enforced the quiet zones throughout the rest of the building... Noise could be heard in every space, wet and dry. I tried to enjoy some quiet time in the cold pool - I couldn't because there was a large group of teenaged boys basically turning the wet area nto their personal water park. I tried to enjoy peace and quiet in the jade room but couldn't - a staff member (!) was loudly holding a conversation with a guest right outside the room in a zone clearly marked "Quiet." I tried to go into one of the personal pods, but there was a girl giving her friend a virtual tour via Facetime! I am so disappointed because the building really is beautiful. There just needs to be staff ENFORCING THE RULES. There was literally not a single area that was devoid of noise. Unbelievable. If you are into spas where you can run around and talk to your friends and take selfies and do tik toks in the meditation rooms, this place is for you. If you want a real korean spa experience, please avoid this place at all costs. If a manger is reading this can I have my money back??

Extremely disappointing experience. Yesterday was my first and last time visiting Spa World Houston. I have been to two other Korean Spa brands. One in LA and one in Houston. Both were so peaceful. Both offered a really relaxing, quiet experience throughout the entire spa. Spa World was at times as loud as a busy airport or mall food court. It was as if the Quiet zone signs were jokes. It was unreal. There is no attempt by staff to keep quiet areas quiet. In the Ocher Ball Pit there was a group of boys (seemingly teens) burying each other in the beads while laughing and talking loud. It was like being at a kid's play land or sports complex. I ventured to the sleep pods and still the noise level was was out of control even with ear pods on. The more I type about this experience the more I think I am going to request a refund. The only quiet place during my visit was the wet rooms . I did like the fact that if you wanted to add a service after checking in you could do so in the locker rooms. I was surprised that they charge for lg towel usage. The locker rooms, unlike other brands I have been to, do not offer benches in front of the lockers so there isn't a place to sit or put anything as you dress and undress which is inconvenient. They also do not offer water dispensers throughout the facility. If you want water you have to purchase a bottle which is not the case with most other brands. At times it felt like Spa World Houston was a discount version of a Korean Day Spa WITHOUT the discounted price tag. The front desk staff was efficient. Not welcoming but not rude. The person at the snack bar at on the first level seemed like she didn't want to be bothered. The staff throughout the rest of the spa was kind and welcoming. I did not receive any addional services. I purchased a general admissions pass. I give the service offerings and facility a B. Overall staff customer service a B minus. Overall Spa Experience a D due to the noise levels. I planned to spend at least 4 hrs there. I left early. It was pointless. I took a friend there so we could unwind and relax after a busy week. This is NOT the place to go and relax in the common areas. Go to Gangham if you are in the Houston area. I wish I had read the yelp reviews before going. The noise levels being an issue at this location seems to be a consistent issue according to Yelpers over the years and has not been rectified. Update in Response To Business: The teens were not minors, they came in unsupervised at the same time I arrived. My guess is that they were in their late teens or early 20s. I didn't encounter any children/minors during my visit. The loud talking and laughing in the Quiet Areas were from adults. Not only the college aged boys in the ball pit loud, others throughout the main floor were very noisy. It seems to be a repeated complaint by Yelpers. Glad to hear it may be addressed by staff. Good to know about the water stations.

I wish I could give stars for Bizarre. I stepped into The Twilight Zone barefoot, was given my uniform, and firmly informed "No Clothes were Allowed!" Gender specific rooms separated naked males and females as they showered and enjoyed steam rooms, dry sauna, warm jacuzzis, and a cold pool. Stern Warning Signs Declared "There will be NO Tolerance for Sexual Behavior!"....ok,ewwww. I made a retreat to my locker and changed into my uniform

I've had a gift card to visit here for over a year and finally made it. We walked in when it opened and we didn't know the process, the front desk ladies just looked at us until we asked the questions. They were nice though. Then they couldn't tell us at that moment if out gift cards would apply because they had to call a number at 10 to verify. That was weird. This is a nice spot. Everything was clean. They had quit a few hot rooms and one cold room. We all got massages. I don't like that the massage ladies stare at the screen while you enter your tip. It is peaceful. Be prepared for the nudity to go in the spa area. I will probably try one more time.

***A LOT OF UNSANITARY AREAS***** A place of relaxation and comfort for the mind. It is a very noisy place in most areas and completely not what I expected. As you walk in the first thing you are required of is to remove shoes and place in a locker to receive a key (This should be written on the website or emphasized when you call for information. Once you pay for entrance fee (Mon - Thurs $45.00, Sat & Sun $55.00. Then you are greeted by front desk staff. EMILY AND MAKAYLA were absolutely amazing; however, most staff on the inside don't speak ENGLISH. It makes no sense to me honestly. You are than required to obtain an outfit, wristband for purchases and proceed to the spa. This is where you exchange your shoe key for locker room in women's shower area. ( Make sure you don't leave without paying, INTERESTING!!!! ****Right behind the desk is an open area with sofas, television and a photo opportunity with KING style Chairs and half circle ottomans. It is a unique area. ****No one is there to give you further instructions so if you keep walking forward then you are left with trying to find your way or read signs. We were walking and trying to figure it out and then someone greeted us to walk back toward the front to the changing room. The entrance is to the right of the first room which was not relayed. ****We enter changing room and there is a oriental lady sitting behind a case with a cash register. As you walk farther there are about 4 ladies near another case with products to sell (perfume, socks, facial mask, sanitary items, shower caps etc). Of course they will find ways to make more money. Then you have lockers for your personal items that match your armband to make purchases. This area is STRICTLY ENFORCED FOR WOMEN ONLY which is where you change into your SPA outfit to enjoy all of the amenities. DOWNSTAIRS: Sauna rooms, 5 pools starting at 98 degrees , one with jets that is not functioning properly (SOME OF THE JETS DON'T WORK) and one cold pool, two saunas rooms, 5 scrub areas ( YOU MUST SHOWER FIRST, THEY ONLY PROVIDE BAR SOAP WHICH IS SOOOOOO UNSANITARY, BUT THEY HAVE SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER IN PUMP GALLOON BOTTLES) HAIR IS NOT ALLOWED IN POOL, MUST PUT IN AN UP DO STYLE OR TIE UP ( SHOULD BE TOLD BEFORE YOU ARRIVE). There are private bathrooms and two private shower areas if you don't like to be in the open. ALL POOL AREAS IN WATER IS TOTALLY NUDE NO EXCEPTION. You are allowed to bring your towel ( $2.00 charge to rent a big towel) Bring your own big towel ( SHOULD BE RELAYED AHEAD OF TIME). Scrub area is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Although I am curious as to how they are cleaned, how often are they changed and how are they stored. You are scrubbed head to toe , front and back and then on each side, then washed on body and face, then you have to leave the area and back in population to rinse off, mind you they have a hose in the designated area which you can be rinsed, ( I ASKED WHY SHE DID NOT RINSE ME AND SHE JUST LAUGHED) then they place coconut oil all over your body with light massaging, then hot towel treatment, then dried off and then warm milk rinse then rinse with hose pipe, then dried off and walked to cashier at the register in locker room to ( GET TIP IF YOU WANT TO GIVE ONE) $110.00 FOR SCRUB PLUS. The negative is you can hear all of the noises from the pool area while receiving your treatments which is so annoying. Instead of having 5 people in the locker room, have an assigned person to make sure everyone is taking a bath with soap, keeping quiet and monitoring no hair in water. Hot dome area also has some sleeping quarters, there are five pillows available to sleep on mats ( NO ONE CLEANS MATS AFTER EACH USE, NO SANITARY WIPES FOR THE MATS) ONLY 5 PILLOWCASES AVAILABLE FOR PILLOWS, WHEN ASKED ABOUT PILLOWCASES I WAS TOLD THERE ARE NO MORE ( SOOOO NASTY) Boba tea, coffee and snack shop, massage area is downstairs UPSTAIRS: Restaurant, bar area, patio ( extremely to hot to walk on with no shoes or socks) television area, (PROJECTOR on a wall) with open seating area. VIP room ( exercise equipment, tv, pool table) and kids zone Everyone is talking and mingling in these areas, unless you sit at bar alone or outside. If you sit in tv area you will hear all of the chatter from the food area. ( ABSOLUTELY NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKS). Spa World Houston is a must-visit for anyone that loves to disconnect, recharge, and unwind! The facility offers services if you're looking for a massage or scrub, but if you're simply looking for a soak and relax, this is the place to be! The space is airy, clean, and well-maintained. The staff is very professional with any questions you may have and there's even a restaurant on site so you can dine in without having to leave! I treated myself to a body scrub & would highly recommend this service! You come out feeling a new sense of rejuvenation from the layers scrubbed off! All-in-all, this is one of my favorite experiences in Houston and I can't wait to go back again!

Hey fam! I'm super excited to be back and reviewing some awesome places. Today, I'm reviewing a spa in Houston you're going to want to run towards. Let's jump right into it! Spa World is the next level real deal. It's very serene, relaxing, and clean. If you've never gone, you're in for a treat. When you walk in, you're directed to put your shoes in a locker which will have a key. That key is your assigned number. You'll bring the key to the front desk, check in, and pay. You'll receive loungewear for wearing in the common area and a small towel. Additional towels are in the locker rooms. Listen! This is my third time here, so obviously it's a great place to relax. Anyway, you have the first level where you have the locker rooms for both men and women. Please be advised that the locker rooms are fully nude. If you decide to relax in the pools and baths, you'll have to take a shower first and be completely nude. Respectfully, no phone or recording devices are allowed in that area for obvious reasons, so I'm unable to show the actual inside. However, it is definitely relaxing and clean. Full staff is present and are very helpful. Once you come out the locker room, there is a small cafe and about seven relaxing rooms you can check out on the first level. My favorite rooms on the ground level are the pyramid, followed by the jade room. Also, if you have children, there is a place for them too. Once you navigate upstairs, the magic happens. You have a restaurant, golf simulator, full bar, vip room, a movie room, some additional relaxation rooms and a large lounging area for sleep and relaxation. Make sure to check out the forest room, which is literally a relaxing virtual nature walk that puts me to sleep instantly. Also, make sure to check out the restaurant upstairs. The food is phenomenal, but the pricing is a smidge high for the food. However, it is definitely worth it. You're looking at anywhere from $8 - $22 for menu items. Keep in mind, you'll need your checkin number watch that you will use for your purchases. This keeps track of all additional expenses you incur while in the spa. Once you check out, you'll make the payment for the items on your watch. The services they offer are massages and scrubs. They are fairly priced, but make sure to book a time in advance. This place is popular and the massages can be booked fairly quickly. I REPEAT! Plan in advance if you want to get a massage or body scrub. Also, I highly recommend the scrub/goddess. It's a little pricey, but your body will thank you. The staff are very polite. Don't be afraid to speak and ask questions. They are there to help you. Well, I would love to continue typing more, but it's time for me to relax and get off my phone to enjoy the spa. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

General admission gets you access to the saunas, nude, gender-separated spas, and resting rooms. Food, golf, massages are separate. My favorite room is the forest room. You can lay there and there are sounds and smells of the forest. I also like the ocher clay ball room. So warm and relaxing! The pork bulgogi I got was yummy and comes with side dishes. I wish there were more water stations. You can find water near the food area.

Spa World in Katy offers a high quality, relaxing , and comprehensive spa experience with several saunas, baths, and themed rooms. Spa World is a Korean spa. It is massive with separate facilities for men and women. Upon arrival, the front desk staff instructs you to remove your shoes. You then select a numbered key which will be used in the dressing areas and you are issued a uniform. The locker rooms are gender specific with areas to undress, shower, blow dry your hair, and store your belongings. They also have things for purchase like face masks! The bath areas or bathing pools are accessed by walking through the locker rooms. These areas are also gender specific as you are required to enter the pools nude. There are several different baths all heated at varying levels. There is also a cold bath. Each bath promotes different health benefits. In the main spa area, you have access to several sauna rooms (all heated to different levels and beautifully decorated/themed), a cold room, the forest room, an infrared room, the cafeteria, a snack bar, and an adult bar. Additionally, you can ask for access to the movie room or reserve the karaoke room. The saunas vary in size but will easily accommodate 5-10 people. The clay bead sauna room is a crowd favorite. One can lay in a pool of warm clay beads that contour to the curves of their body and rest easy. Other services can be added to your base experience like a massage or body scrub. I chose to get a Swedish massage. My masseuse was very professional and did a fabulous job making me feel comfortable. She gave several options for pressure and delivered a very thorough massage. The 60 minute massage add in was ~$100 before tip. There were several options for eating. I ordered the shrimp glass noodles which was served fresh. It was a good portion size; I was able to share with a friend. I also ordered a drink downstairs from the snack bar which was very tasty. My experience at Spa World was excellent! Because it was my birthday, they also gave me a free moisturizing face mask. I have been to Spa World again since my first trip, and I plan to return again soon! The value for the price (~$50 for all day access) is incredible.

Currently writing in spa world and am highly disappointed. From check in I was told they ran out of a certain towel but I decided to let it go to enjoy my experience. To my surprise the entire experience has been unsatisfactory. The NOISE LEVEL IS OUT OF CONTROL. There was not one place in the entire facility where I could have quiet time. It sounded like I was in a high school cafeteria. Upstairs to get food and drink was the same experience. The sound of the golf balls hitting the wall was alarming. I did enjoy the thorough scrub I received but to say it was a relaxing experience would be a lie. Even in the sleep pod I have to constantly ask guests to lower their voices. Staff weren't reinforcing the quiet signs and guest took advantage. I will not be returning here. I've seen what the expectation should be and this did not meet it.

I've visited Spa World several times, and each experience has been great. It's always super relaxing and clean, which I appreciate. My only wish is that there were more rooms available. There are only about 5 rooms available downstairs and 2 more upstairs with a movie theatre (also with limited seating). This review is specifically based on my experience at the restaurant on the second floor during my most recent visit. I have to say, it was the best dining experience I've had there so far! I ordered the cold noodles and bulgogi yubu, and both dishes were absolutely delicious.

For my birthday I decided a spa day would be the perfect way to celebrate. This was my first Korean-style spa experience and overall I really enjoyed my visit. I ended up spending around 6 hours here. I scheduled a massage and had lunch afterwards. The remainder of my time was spent exploring the various rooms and saunas. Upon entering, you're notified to remove your shoes and pick a locker. The spa is a no shoes facility, so make sure to bring socks!! From there you're issued your wristband, key to larger locker in gender specific areas, and a comfy lounge shirt and short set. Since it was my birthday I was given a free face mask. One of the workers gave me a quick tour and after that I was off to enjoy my day. Everyone was extremely helpful and the environment was calming and comfortable. Make sure to read all signs posted. There are no phone allowed areas and quiet areas, so be mindful. Food....honestly I wasn't too impressed with my bulgogi bowl. It was okay, but definitely overpriced. I wouldn't get it again. I did like the fact they have water fountains around the facility so you can keep your water bottles filled. Massage....amazing! I received the Swedish massage and I enjoyed. The Himalayan salt room, Yellow Ocher Clay Ball room, and Jade room were my favorites! I would definitely visit again.

Facility: all of the rooms in co-ed area were good. I like it. The wet area (gender separated) is a big disappointment. The water in 1 of the pools is completely green? Yuck. They forgot to clean it or what? I found hair in every single pool. Eww. The wet sauna was smelly. I did a deluxe scrub (80 mins, $140) and the technician finished within 75 mins. I just found minor scratches on my legs now. I hope at least they dispose the gloves after each customer? Food: the bibimpap was good but the cold noodle was a huge let down. I love Jimjilbang in general but I'm not sure I'll be back at this location.

The whole experience is phenomenal even if you don't get add ons. It's just relaxing and calm. You don't feel rushed or overwhelmed. I did not add on any service but it's nice to know you have the option.

The best part of spa world was the Swedish massage but everything else was lacking from the spa experience I expected. I love a Korean spa but will be going to others instead Arrival: Maybe we were unlucky but today there were several large parties coming in at the same time as us. The entry area is quite small and everything seemed to be pretty chaotic and confused (not how we expected to start a spa day). There are lockers here for your shoes, but then you have to walk back across the entryway barefoot (where everyone walked in their shoes) to checkin. There are no shoes or socks provided but you can buy socks in the women's locker room (and other bathing items). You are given an outfit and 1 towel Locker room / bath The Locker room is as expected. I do wish the lockers had a mirror in them but there's an area to get ready out of the Locker rows. The baths are extremely disappointing. Half of the showers only have scorching hot water that doesn't seem to have a cooler setting. The temp gauges on the tubs and saunas don't seem to all be function. The 98* tub was lukewarm, the 108* was as expected, one tub didn't seem functional at all, the 124* sauna was cool and the cooler steam sauna was extremely hot.... also all the saunas had a gap under the door that let cool air in front the tub area... Shared space: The first floor has several different rooms which was nice, but all the rooms had a gap that let in air from outside. You also could hear every conversation because people don't follow the quiet area signs and have full conversations. I even tried to lay in one of the cubbies but someone jn the next one over was watching videos very loudly. Quiet rules were not enforced anywhere making it difficult to relax. Restaurant The food at the restaurant was pretty satisfying but the seating was very uncomfortable. It also was right next to the golf which was pretty loud as well. People also didn't have shoes/socks here which was unappealing (and I'm so glad I brought my own socks). We did opt for additional massages and I loved the Swedish massage I got. I could still hear all the conversations outside the room though. Overall it was a pricey spa day, and was a gift to my mom for her bday/mother's day and left us leaving not fully satisfied. We won't be back unfortunately

Enjoyed my experience here, they do have many rooms catered to relaxation. I noticed that a lot of the rooms are centered around heat and warm temps so if you're into that you'll like it. I did get a Swedish massage that put me to sleep so I would recommend. Only negative was my interaction in the beginning with front desk they didn't seem as attentive, also the place is pretty popular so there's going to be people there which can add noise but nothing crazy, it's best to go during the week in the morning.

This is my 2nd visit to Spa World. Really chill place to come and hang out. They got karaoke rooms, steam rooms, hot rooms, cold rooms, movie room, open terrace, a bar, a restaurant, a mini convenient store... they offer paid massage/exfoliation and other various things. oh oh and a golf area to practice your bad swings away. Really chill, really nice, gotta get used to being completely nude in the gender specific pool areas. Come here when you need an escape the world for a bit. My friend and I spend at least 4 hours here each time we go.

First time at a spa ever. Was here on a Friday afternoon. Once you enter in, you have to put the shoes you walked in with in a small locker. You're given a spa uniform, which is a t-shirt and shorts, with 2 small blue towels. Men are given a different color uniform than the women. I asked for a tour but it ended up just being a brief overview of the place and pointing out a few key spots. The floors were not cold and very clean. Didn't even need my socks. The gender-separated lockers are bigger than the locker in front and you are given a key with a wristbrand to wear throughout your time there. The restrooms, pools, saunas, and showers are also right there. I actually thought the pools were co-ed and would be in a separate area. Like the reviews said, you do have to feel comfortable with being nude and seeing nudity once you enter the locker/shower area. Your hair has to be tied up when you're in the pool and no cameras allowed. Outside of the locker/shower area, there's no need to be nude. I booked a Shiatsu Massage online and didn't realize I had to arrive 20 minutes early. It got pushed back, which was needed. They only have female masseuses. The lady I had was Lucy. Never done a shiatsu massage so I didn't fully know what to expect beyond one Youtube video I watched. All my clothes had to be off. She emphasized that there is no oil involved, but ended up applying a lot of oil when she initially said she will use a little. She also kept asking if I liked a swedish or deep tissue massage. She started off hard but switched to gentler strokes. I felt sore later in the day in certain areas of my body. The oil they use for massages is coconut oil. Was I relaxed? No. But I've never really felt relaxed during a massage except once. Massages are once in a blue moon experiences for me. There are rooms upstairs and downstairs. Both levels have an area to dine. Upstairs has some private rooms and an area with a stage and large TV screen with recliners and long couches. Wifi is available. Saw a few individuals with laptops. I think I tried/looked at every room they had: Ocher Ball Room (145 F, it gets pretty hot) Pyramid Room Jade Room (93 F, salt with heat) Far infrared wave room Forest room (ok) Arctic Room (43 F) Himalayan Salt Room (136 F, it's pretty hot) Fire dome (super hot, feet will burn) Theater room (big screen with recliner chairs; played Adam Sandler movie; they have different streaming services available) Private Golf rooms + open area for golf Downstairs had mats to lie down on and sleep off, cool down, or whatever. For a Friday, it seemed semi-busy later in the afternoon. I would say it wasn't crowded enough because you could find an empty room for a few minutes or a room with 1 or 2 people. Most people came in a group (family or friends) or as a couple. They provide free water with small cups in the lockers and by the restaurant upstairs. You can also bring a water bottle. Overall, it was a nice experience. I have nothing to compare it against.

The parking lot was spacious although one of the ramps to enter the lot is at a steep incline so you'll have to slow down to enter to not scratch the front end of your vehicle. Once inside you'll see small lockers for your shoes. Open a locker with a key, place your shoes inside, then lock the door and remove the key. The key will be handed to the receptionist at the front where you'll pay for general admission, be handed small towels and your uniform. There are separate gender locker rooms. It was very clean throughout the facility. The heated pools were nice, I wished the water levels were like at neck level than barely chest level. The saunas were nice and steamy. The various rooms to relax in (forest, ocha, Himalayan salt, pyramid, and volcano, artic) were all ok. They do have a bar for just beer and wine, virtual golf, a kids area too, and movie rooms. What I really enjoyed was the food. I got a bulgogi bibambap. It came hot and sizzling, had korean chives, carrots, mushroom, zucchini and a fried egg on top. It looked so colorful and was presented so well. I wish I had taken my phone for a photo. It also came with a few side dishes (korean potato salad, pickled mung bean sprouts, kimchi, and pickled daikon and seaweed) it was good. Not too salty, cooked well, the meat was tender. I also ordered a vegetable pancake, it was large as a medium sized pizza. I then came to realize that most of the dishes were meant to share family style and was appreciative that my friend was willing to eat my food. It was an experience, something I've never done. I don't know if the spa life is for me but I can see why people enjoy it.

Absolutely the best spa day - I was gifted a massage and decided to get a body scrub as well! Cant say enough about this place. Staff is Welcoming , place is spotless , services were all amazing. After everything I ordered lunch, the young man there was so nice, and the food??? was also top notch! So much more to do there I will definitely be back

I visited Spa World for my birthday and had a great time. I did go during the week so it wasn't crowded or anything. It was like having the whole spa to myself except a couple of people. I also booked a massage for my stay. It was amazing and I fell asleep lol! I did go to the spa by myself and I will say if I visited again I would bring a friend. It was nice to relax and recharge but I will say it would be better if you had someone to relax with. Like others mentioned you have to be barefoot but I wore my yoga socks to be more comfortable. Especially in the bathroom area. I would say my most favorite areas were the Himalayan salt room and the clay bead area. The food was ok, but if you're spending a whole day there then it works out to just eat there. Parking lot is huge so you don't have to worry about space. Overall I would return here if I'm ever in Katy! Tip- Bring your own items to take a shower. The body wash in the shower wasn't the best for your skin.

Got a deep tissue Aida was so good with her hands, I rested so well!! I went there around 10:30 am and check in was fast and it was peaceful until around 1 pm lot of people started coming. I was next to the dome trying to take a nap and these 3 women next to the pyramid were so loud and disrespectful. Now the spa has signs everywhere asking to be quiet.

Feel awful for not recalling his name but this post is to recognize an employee. He's a short, fit, white guy with a full beard. During a recent visit, A guest disregarded the posted rules about cellphones in the wet area. He noticed this violation while doing a random check of the area and quickly corrected the guest but professionally. Glad to know this facility has professional staff looking out for our privacy.

This was our first Korean Spa experience and since then we have been hooked. After a week at the beach, it was a great refresh! The spa rooms are nice, the food is delicious and the service was great.

I highly recommend this spa. I have been here two times with my auntie and both times have been amazing. I did pay extra for a Korean body scrub and it was quite the experience. The person who provided my service was Helen and I highly recommend her.

Plenty of parking and nice Korean Spa right here in HTx. . They offer the services you would expect like massage, reflexology, body scrubs, facials, experience rooms, relaxation areas, food and drink. I like that there is an outside space. The food imo is much better than some other Korean spas in the area. But I that other spa too! Lots of open spaces not overly crowded, at least on the day that I went. Staff is friendly and helpful. It is a Korean spa, so you will be given a uniform and an arm band to keep track of your charges. There are also non-coed spaces in which you will only have a towel. But there are literally women of all ages and cultures; the atmosphere is relaxing and non-judgmental. I know it's scary at first, but it's actually cool to be in an environment where women aren't judgy and all in the same boat so to speak. You just have to experience it to understand what I mean. If you've never had a Korean scrub, it's a must do! Required that you walk around bare foot, which is gross. Not the cleanest. Massage was horrible. Just drilled her elbow in my back the entire time. Waste of money and time.

I can only speak on the weekday experience here. It's great. It's mostly got everything I want in a korean spa experience, from the multiple sauna rooms, to the bath house, to an above average restaurant upstairs. The staff is friendly, at least from my personal interactions. The place is also very cleanly which I appreciate, and they do a good job maintaining the facilities. Fewer people are here on the weekdays as well, which is a bonus for me since it's quieter and there are less chances to come across obnoxious and inconsiderate individuals. I would take my friends and family here without question.

May 17, 2023 Used a Groupon (thank goodness) because several things were not working and/or not at the correct temperature for example: TWO of the wet hot saunas were NOT hot, the dry hot sauna NOT hot, and the really hot igloo clay hut looking thing was way too hot to the feet. So, I dunno what was up on this particular evening but, I won't be returning

Really neat place and concept. You get to enjoy saunas at different temperatures, cold rooms, and pools with your entry pass. However anything else like golfing, cafeteria, karaoke, massages, and movie room is an extra fee. I spent a good 5 hours with my friends exploring all the rooms that are included with entry, and we ate lunch in the cafeteria. The Korean food is very solid, I think we all enjoyed it. The cold noodles and black bean noodles were excellent. The fried chicken was okay, but for $23 for 4 pieces of chicken I don't think it was very worth it. Overall I would come back and maybe attempt to get a massage or scrub done.

I really wanted to like this spa. Having gone to Korean Spas for 20 years there are a few standard Korean Spa items that don't hit the mark for me: 1) They should have complimentary water and tea dispensers all over the coed and lobby spaces. Other spas will have water accessible everywhere. That's what makes it a Korean spa. 2) My biggest issue is that they do not fill the hot spas all the way past the breast level and therefore the water doesn't properly get filtered. It's weird and doesn't allow you to fully soak your entire body and keeps you more exposed. 3) the jets in the spas are useless. 4) the temperature of the hot spas aren't warm enough and they don't align with the temperature signs. 5) they don't provide slippers to walk around in. There's puddles of dirty water everywhere that you have to walk in barefoot. 6) unlike other Korean spas in LA, the attendants don't constantly clean. 7) the snack cafe downstairs is overpriced and I had the worst hibiscus tea. Scrub was pretty good, but other than that it was not the best experience, but what made it great was the people I was with. Restaurant upstairs was decent. (Don't get the baked eggs. They're overcooked, severely.)

Visited Spa World last month with my friends. We had a grand time. I wish we planned to spend more time here than we originally planned. I really enjoyed the various rooms, specifically the clay ball pit room. This was a great way to relax with friends! I booked a scrub plus and I felt like a baby afterwards. Seriously - the ajumma scrubbed my entire body. She did not miss any spots!! My only gripe with this spot is that you have to pay for admission on top of the service you book... you'd think that admission is included with the service, but it's not. (At other spas, it is included with the service.) Tips -Prebook your service -Bring a towel (or you can pay $2 for a rental - they only have small towels otherwise) -Prepare to spend hourssss here! -Relax :)

This place is well known by most, but this was my first visit. It certainly seemed popular with many visitors coming in and out when I came on a Saturday afternoon with my 2 friends. You walk in the entrance and are given a key for a locker for your shoes. After you put your shoes away, then you check in at the front. And sign a detailed waiver that you rescind all liability to the business as a whole, and will be fined if you destroy property, and you may be asked to leave at any time and must leave. I was thinking to myself, what has happened in the past as to why this is needed for a spa? I used a Groupon for the $49 entry fee. Then I thought I bought a Groupon for the massage, but it turns out they don't have Groupon for massages. It was for a different place. Awe, man! Perhaps I came in with the incorrect expectations. But I did not leave more relaxed than when I entered. It was more of a sensory center. We didn't get a tour, so we just tried to figure it out as we went along. There were several hot rooms and 1 cold room that you could stay in, for relaxation. And you just sort of stay in each room for as little or as long as you want, and try to zen out. Some people were sleeping in one room, like adult nap time. Some of the rooms were occupied, and some had space for multi groups. We tried to hit up each place, the salt room, the gold room, the fire dome, etc. I will say it's a great place to lounge around for a while, but you can do that at other spas as well. I noted in reviews that people come to work on their laptops here, so for some, this may be appealing. The entrance fee seems to just get you access to the many mini rooms, but the real spa items are separate costs. I opted not to get the massage or any other add ons since I had already paid for another place unknowingly. Honestly, I did not get a lot of info at the front desk about how best to go about the experience, so maybe it would have been a better experience if I had more understanding? Not sure. I think some may really love this place, but others may not. I didn't see the appeal to return.

I got the Swedish massage and it was the best massage I have ever had! This place is so cool! I love the unique rooms! It's great to pick the room with the temperature you want to endure for your sauna experience. 10/10 recommend!

I've been coming to this place for years and truly love it I spend 10+ hrs here, but lately everyone that's been coming here tho has no spa etiquette. I'm talking basically screaming in rooms full of people trying to relax. Laughing and speaking without end at the top of their lungs it's exhausting. Y'all need more quiet zone signs or something because these people r really ruining the atmosphere. I totally understand whispering here and there but screaming laughing and outside voices need to STAY OUTSIDE! Pls bring back ribs

Great place to relax. The locker room area was very clean (everywhere was really). All the rooms were amazing and I can't say enough about the food! Will definitely come back.

Service: 5 Food: 5 Overall experience: 5 I recommend coming early, bringing your own towel, a good book and checking Groupon before coming. The full nudity is optional if you plan to get in any of the baths/pools. I felt completely safe with wearing the clothing provided, Using the towels provided, and the device free zones. I enjoyed my stone massage and trying authentic Korean cuisine.

Love this place! Wish there was closer to me. I have been twice. I have yet to get a massage. Just love the sauna and other amenities.

This was my first time at Spa World and I was looking forward to a relaxing Christmas day here. Check-in was easy and the staff was friendly. Overall, I thought the facility was nice and clean. However, I would've preferred to be able to wear slippers or something in the bathroom instead of going barefoot. There are signs posted on all of the rooms asking for people to be quiet. However, those signs were largely ignored by a lot of the spa-goers. One woman pulled out her cell phone in the Himalayan salt room and proceeded to have a full-blown, loud conversation. It didn't seem that the quietness was enforced. I also decided to have some lunch at the Korean restaurant upstairs. However, the ramen was very mediocre and was too salty.

Spa World is definitely a place to go if you are looking to unwind and relax. For only $40 you have access to several saunas, steams and quiet rooms. Each room has a different benefit that is noted on the door before entering. No shoes are allowed in the building. When entering you are given a key to place your shoes inside a locker. You will also receive a top and bottom to change inside the dressing room. The community area has a restaurant, golf ($15 per person) and resting areas. If you decide you want a massage or scrub (this is extra) you can set that up at the desk. Inside the sauna you are naked! Theres a male side and a female side. Just imagine a bath house; thats what it reminds me of. I got a scrub ($70) and my skin felt so soft and smooth afterwards. Definitely recommend! Please be careful if you have health issues. Theres is also a caution signs located stating Elderly persons and those suffering from heart disease, diabetes, high or low blood pressure should consult then sician before using the spa. Pregnant women should not use the spa without consulting their physician. The use of this spa while under the influence of alcohol, anticoagulants, antihistamines, vasoconstrictors, vasodilators, stimulants, hypnotics, narcotics or tranquilizers should be avoided. persons should spend no more than fifteen (15) minutes in the spa at any one (1) session.

Spa World is a great getaway and Korean Day Spa experience-- but not hardcore. It's definitely the Katy, Texas, watered down version full of couples, and stay at home moms, or working moms skipping work. Nothing wrong with that... but just know (in my experience) there are alot of newbies who find this place cool, and are very chatty... so not necessarily the relaxing, quiet oasis you may be looking for. If so, try Gangnam Spa, btw. I did enjoy my time here with my friends and they do have different rooms than Gangnam, like the clay ball room (forgot what it's actually called). Many rooms are super hot- like over 100 degrees, so please keep that in mind. The communal pools-- NO BATHING SUITS. When in Rome... go commando and respect the Korean Day Spa rules. Don't be shy. No one cares what your body looks like. Most of the women are trying their HARDEST not to make eye contact as it is-- if you decide to take a dip.

We had a birthday party and they were suppose to go the train every 45 mints and they were 30'mints late then they go one time and all of our kids are still waiting I asked them to open so they can go one more time and she said no... what kind of business they are running that they say no to the kids who have waited so Long for them to show up. I complained to two People and no one cared. My son hurt his feet I asked for an ice it took them 10 Mints to get bag of ice the two girls were just standing there talking and I had to ask for the ice again from the same girl because she was busy talking. Birthday party was today 1/12/2025. Very disappointing with Karina who did nothing as a manager and said she was doing this department a favor to help in this party. Customer service is 0.

First, like other reviews have mentioned, they make you take your shoes off before checking in, and do not offer slippers. The floor is dirty, after leaving spa world my feet were dirty... I asked for a towel to clean off. If no shoes is a rule, then the employees shouldn't wear shoes either, because they are bringing dirt in the area. We received a deep tissue couples massage and it went well. The saunas are neat but you have to pay an additional entry fee to use that area even if you are already paying for the massages. The theater room/ karaoke area where you can watch movies only has access to Netflix, but yet have all the other apps such as Disney plus, Apple TV, Hulu that you cannot use. The chairs in the movie room smell and looked very worn down almost like they bought used furniture. Gross! Helpful tips for spa world: Offer new slippers upon check in for all guests. Have staff wear clean slippers or indoor shoes only. Offer sanitizing wipes for the mats in the sleeping areas. Fix the audio system in the theater room as it was not working correctly. The sound raises up and down, not tuned. It was a pain to get up and down to fix it, and that still wouldn't fix it. Entry fee should be included if you booked a massage. So sad I can't say I would visit again. Cleanliness is a top priority for me.

Super fun! Nude parts were not bad just focus on yourself no one else is looking. Loved the wet sauna! Rooms were so fun! Not too busy but I could see it being less fun if it's crowded. Some guests not that courteous but there were lots of foreigners when we went. Got a message and it was good but I've had better. Expensive so just get the tickets on Groupon and enjoy the rooms!

This was my 4th visit. I visited the other Korean spa a few times before trying SpaWorld. I was impressed by the layout and size of the facility at SpaWorld but initially thought I wouldn't visit much bc it's a longer drive. I thought wrong. By following my mood on any given day when Igottagetaway, I have found myself returning to Spa World more than I could have predicted. Here's what *I* like about SpaWorld (this is a stand-alone list and NOT a comparison to anywhere else): 1. I dig the patrols in the single-sex areas. (a) I happened to witness an attendant VERY gently and professionally approach a woman at her locker who I'm sure didn't even realize that she was checking her phone in a locker room. Ftr, the guest was very apologetic and thanked the attendant for the reminder. I appreciated all this. (b) In the course of 40m spent between pools, showers and saunas, I observed a staff member walk the area at least 3 times, wiping down shower areas, removing leftover towels, clearing excess water from floors and (once) using the net thingy to remove a loose hair from the cold pool. In short, this place is attended, monitored and maintained. 2. SpaWorld is a large facility with lots and lots of space(s). If my only option to visit a Korean spa is during a relatively busy time, I know I can find a nook or cranny for myself no matter what. For example, I spent part of my last visit reading a novel in a swing on the roof. I also like the floor screens for the napping nooks. Except for one guy in the clay ball room who thought nothing of watching some ball game on his phone *without earbuds* (wtf), I've always been able to find some peace despite sharing space with others. Temps are posted outside each room. I like the Forest Room. The theater room is really nice. Persons wanting time with infrared lights have lots of options. 3. The Korean spicy chicken ramen is $crumdeliumptiou$. 4. The Swedish massage was g r e a t. Drawbacks? 1. The food counters sometimes run out of Korean sauna eggs. This is AWFUL, almost beyond words. 2. During peak times, noise from the fully separate playground area can spill into other parts of first floor. 3. The food is outrageously expensive. Expect "appetizers" to cost the same as entrees, if not more. 3. The rough textured Korean shower towels/washcloths are available for purchase but not provided. I bring my own along with my own toiletries. Fwiw, the soap is nothing special (Safeguard, Dial). 4. The wifi is hit or miss, sometimes up, sometimes not. **I have never had a body scrub here or at any Korean spa.** My first visit was with a (half-Korean) friend who had visited SpaWorld once before and, fwiw, did NOT like the scrub she received on that day. She even complained to management, saying that she recognized midway through that the woman's technique was relatively lightweight and not thorough. My friend was not satisfied with the response (whatever it was) and won't go back. The takeaway is that quality of scrub service can be spotty Idk. Also this: read the signs, people. I watched 2 women step into the wet area wearing the uniform despite 6,541 signs explaining that clothing is not allowed in wet area. An attendant, who was not a native English-speaker, excitedly waved her arms as she approached as if to say "Go back! Go back!" The 2 non-sign-reading women misunderstood her gestures and complained that "that woman was tryna fight us!" I saw the whole thing, beginning to end, and ... no. NO. I pulled aside manager later to defend the staff member, but just omg people, pay attention to your surroundings. Do your research. Ask yourself what the odds are that staff means to do you violence, for crying out loud. Enough from me.

This place is awesome! They have a bunch of amenities and is super great for relaxing and enjoying a day of leisure! When you walk in, you immediately take off your shoes, place them in a locker, and grab your key! The locker you choose will have a number assigned to it, which you will take with you to the front counter. As you get checked in, you'll hand over the key, along with your ID and the employees will give you a new key for your locker in the saunas. You'll also get a uniform that you'll wear after entering the facilities. Once you're in, you go straight the saunas. This area requires your to be fully nude and there are no phones allowed. They have multiple hot tubs, along with a cold pool, and jets. There's also a steam room and a dry sauna. These areas are gender specific. I recommend brining your own toiletries, but they have shampoo, body wash, etc available for use, Once you're done in the saunas, you can put on the uniform and access the rest of the building. They have multiple hot rooms down stairs along with a cafe. Upstairs they have other very relaxing rooms like the forest room and far Infrared room. There's also a theatre and a restaurant with a bunch of traditional Korean food options. Kimchi stew is really great!

This was my first time ever going to this style of spa / bathhouse and it was an amazing experience. The clay ball room was definitely my favorite room. They also had a cold room which was a first for me and I loved it! I would also like to give a MASSIVE shout out to Christopher who went WAY above and beyond to make sure our night ended perfectly!! I will be coming back with more friends to experience it!
