Space Karaoke Bar & Lounge | Koreatown NYC

I came here for my birthday and I highly recommend this place. The staff was great at making sure we were all taken care of while enjoying karaoke. It was a pleasure celebrating with my friends and family in a private room where we could sing our hearts out without any issues. We did the BYOB package, which was a fair price at $51 per person for a group of 11. I recommend contacting them in advance to let them know if you’re running late or if anything changes—especially when planning with a large group, as things can come up. Thank you all for being so great and for making my 30th birthday celebration special!

The customer service here was pretty hostile upon arrival, average exchanges with the entry staff and bartender always had a hint of attitude. I read some previous reviews stating that they will bring out a birthday cake if requested, so I bought a cake and made the request; the host could have simply declined but he was extremely passive aggressive in doing so for some reason. I ended up plating the cake myself in the room, which is fine. We had to wait for our room to open and was directed to the bar. I got a drink and asked how much it was, in which the bar tender, Hanna, still didn’t tell me after serving it and instead asked if I wanted to close my tab. Once closing my tab, she charged my card for the drink AND karaoke room package. The small, watered down, drink was $19, and not until after charging me did she say gratuity for everything was already included. I’m not one to complain about automatic gratuity, but an $80 tip for some of the rudest customer service BEFORE we had even begun is asinine. The karaoke room was fun, but the entry service left a bad taste in my mouth. Additionally, we were asked if we wanted to extend our time, but were told we would have to purchase one drink per person. This didn’t make sense considering we bought the drink package and still had a considerable amount of our drinks left. I would not recommend this place due to the service, and if you do decide to go, make sure you have a large group. The price tag is hefty, especially with taxes and automatic gratuity included.

I had a really good time with my group of friends! We booked for an hour with plans to extend, and the staff were accommodating when I went. I do wish there was a way for us to book multiple hours without getting a group package but it ended up working out! Would come again

Went here for cousins bday. We got the 2 hour unlimited top shelf. Our room gave us 2 mics, it had a Korean keyboard and then they gave us the iPad for YouTube. We had the mixed platter which didn’t have wings and in the pic should it did (bc there’s no description) it was $90/ person and there were 16 of us. The $90 Includes gratuity. Overall it was decent but if you wanna do karaoke for longer time and affordable flushing queens has many options !

Came for my birthday party with 16 people. I was expecting one of the rooms they advertise online for that has a couch inside the room, but we were put in a smaller room with barstools and an island that felt cramped and awkward to move around in. Didn’t love YouTube as the way that songs are picked because our queue kept erasing if someone pressed a video wrong. It was overall a good time, not too expensive, but not what was expected

I went here with my friends for my birthday last week and we all agreed that it was such a great time! Everyone told me they had so much fun and that they want to do it again. I did the open bar package and it was great for a group celebration. It was a bit pricey but for the venue and birthday discount available I would definitely go with Space for an event. The service was great, I brought a cake and they were able to hold it and bring it out at the end of the reservation. The staff was very responsive and made sure to make my birthday the best possible. The food was great to share with people, and came fast after ordering. My only comment is that I believe there should be more than one bartender, especially at peak times like the weekend. With the package including 2 hours, a few of us spent a considerable amount of the time waiting for drinks, when it would’ve been preferable to use it in the room to sing. Overall, we all thoroughly enjoyed it, and it was the first time hosting a birthday event where every guest (including myself) urged for a repeat.

Great venue in the heart of K-town. The drinks are a bit pricey, but the Tokyo Iced Tea is good and the Karaoke interface is easy to use.

Came here for my birthday, and it was quite nice. Great clubby ambience, and everything worked great. Prices were reasonable, and it's nice that they give a birthday discount. However, the service wasn't as frequent/high as I was expecting. The room had a bunch of extra chairs (more than the max seating, so it didn't seem set up properly). The sound system was loud at first but they helped decrease it so that we could hear vocals better.

What a great spot to have a birthday party! We had an amazing time celebrating at Space Karaoke! A reservation is definitely a must here, especially for larger groups, as the place is popular and fills up quickly. The karaoke bar itself is large, but the private rooms are on the smaller side. We had a group of 10, and while it was cozy, we managed to make it work. A bit more space would've been nice, so we didn't have to step over each other, but it didn't take away from the fun. One highlight was the food. The fruit platter was way better than expected! It had a great selection, and we even used the fruit to mix into our drinks, which added a nice touch. We also ordered a bottle of tequila with two mixers, along with four glasses of white wine. The wine was a bit lackluster, but the other drinks made up for it. I'd also definitely recommend the mozzarella sticks. They were on the smaller side which I liked as they were bite-sized and were crispy and delicious, making them a perfect snack in between songs. The karaoke setup was easy to use with an iPad, which gave us way more options than a traditional setup with a songbook. We loved being able to search for whatever song we wanted on the spot. Bathrooms were easy to find and clean. Overall, Space Karaoke was a fantastic spot for a birthday party. Just be sure to reserve a room and be prepared for a cozy fit with larger groups. I'd definitely recommend it for a fun night out in K-town!

Had our room opened several times randomly. The servers were really attentive, coming in to ask for drinks if we wanted to stay another hour. The drinks were not strong, sucked bc they are expensive. Ambiance was cool, I liked the space theme. However, It was packed, loud, and the bathrooms were dirty/wet floors.

Came here with a group of friends and overall it was a fantastic time. The booked a karaoke room for 2 hours and they had two ways to pick songs. The easiest way was via Youtube on their iPad, while their electronic catalog was a lot more confusing to understand. They provide two microphones and tambourines. Food is pretty standard bar food if you decide on that.

We were mobbing deep for our birthday! We actually started upstairs at space ping pong and conveniently continued here afterwards. Not sure if we were lucky but was able to book a huge room and they seated us after 5 min wait. 28 people deep. They have a bar area which is fun cause there's people doing karaoke there too. The song selection is decent and we had a great time. My only thing is I wished the a/c was colder. It was super hot in the karaoke room. So a lot of people ended up going out to bar area to cool down.

Space is super clean and it's nice they have a guest max because the room can stay spacious. Since it's YouTube you have lots of song selection. Someone pops in pretty often so you can order or get whatever help you need. Recommend for private room karaoke. Lots of other fun places nearby too

We visited Space Karaoke Bar in Koreatown last Saturday and had an absolute blast. This was my first time at a karaoke bar in the city, and the experience exceeded my expectations. The best part is that they provide separate rooms for groups, and they accommodate parties of more than four or five people. Our group of five had a fantastic time. The private room setup was great, equipped with a TV where you can log into your YouTube account to play your own songs. There's also a control panel to adjust the sound system, including music and mic volumes. It was very technical and detailed, enhancing the overall experience. We had so much fun selecting and singing our favorite songs. As for drinks, we ordered shots and a red sangria. While the sangria was enjoyable, the shots were disappointing--my friends mentioned that even after three to four shots, they didn't feel tipsy. We also ordered some food, including fries and mozzarella sticks. I must say, they were extremely fresh and delicious. I could have had numerous plates of those fries and mozzarella sticks--they were that good, especially for a bar.

I had my 27th birthday here with all my friends and it was a freaking blast. I'd recommend people to come here for any occasion, staff is super nice and accommodating.

Rude hostess with a sourpuss face and bad attitude. We rang the bell twice to order drinks and they never arrived. LOL 20% gratuity automatically added even though they provided ZERO customer service. Gross. We we not return!

Such a fun-filled space. Very well decorated. Enough room for large groups. We were a party of 5. Had a hard time making reservations since they had to suddenly cancel it a day before! We hard to argue and make them honor the reservation , which they finally did. The drinks were on the expensive side but the karoke set-up was good. The room was well decorated and gave us a good vibe. I wish they explain us how to use the system though they had a small display. One of our mic hardly worked and it took sometime for us to realize that. The food was really good, esp the fries.

Fun spot that served as our post-game spot after several hours of Karaoke (at a different spot in Ktown). My friends and I played some rounds of Beer Pong, and we had to channel our skills from college-days! Staff at the front desk here wasn't friendly per se but they are reasonable. There are also several workers who are constantly cleaning up the ping pong balls, and doing fantastic work doing so; kudos to them! Good vibes to keep the night going. I'd come again for a late night activity spot!

Reservations are recommended since weekends since they get booked fast and they insist on packages with either liquor or beer. If you want to extend your time, you need to pay for another package so plan accordingly! You take elevator upstairs and ID is checked upon entrance. The karaoke rooms are small and you use an iPad to choose your music on YouTube however if you tap the wrong button it skips the music on queue and ruins it for those already singing

If you are thinking of coming here, I would recommend you go to literally any other karaoke place along Korea Way. First of all, the staff is incredibly rude, particularly Kelli. Second off, if you go upstairs to ask about the prices they will only tell you it's $50 an hour (for 4 ppl) but won't mention that they don't do time extensions or that you have to buy minimum one drink per person. We were still reading through the online menu when Kelli barged back into the room and forced us to order drinks before we could even begin to enjoy our hour. The "drink" we ordered was a lemon drop shot, which wouldn't be considered a full standard shot. The lemon drop "shot" tasted like they poured a drop of vodka with simple syrup Third of all, they FORCE you to tip the rude staff if you order from your phone. They had staff came in periodically to check on us and it was intrusive and really interrupted the experience. The only nice things I have to say revolve around the cleanliness of the place and the quality of the karaoke rooms. The other staff members were sweet and I wish I had more opportunity to interact with them, as it would've made my review much more positive. I will not be coming back here, I'd much rather go to 32 Karaoke, where I've had incredible experiences. Maybe I just am not used to New York City hospitality, but I was extremely disappointed because I was really looking forward to visiting this spot :(

Wowwwww best karaoke spot in the WORLD!!! Everything is fairly priced even with the amazing package deals and the food is pretty damn good. The service by our server/bartender Jae was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!!!! If you are ever in NYC come stop by Space Karaoke and they will take care of you. Amazing spot omggggggg~

There's different floors. You take an elevator up, the buttons are labeled. I forget which floor we went to but it was nice and bright with a bar in the middle. Good vibes and you can get karaoke rooms if you want to sing. There was a decent amount of people too. They checked ID but then again it was also really late. Good late night spot in ktown to catch up with friends.

Great fun vibe, perfect for a birthday party! The vibe is casual but energetic. The décor feels futuristic--think neon lights and glowing accents that give it an upbeat, dance-party atmosphere. The bartenders are friendly, and while the drink menu isn't anything groundbreaking, they do have all the essentials (plus a few creative cocktails to try).

First of all, staff were very rude when my group of 13 arrived for my birthday reservation. They were trying to double charge me because it was more than 10 people but on my confirmed reservation it stated I can bring up to 13 people. The room was not ready when we got there. I had reservations for 9:30 and didn't get the room until 10pm. The bartender was really rude as well. The customer service was not great at all. They had a good selection of music because they use youtube, they don't ask if you would like to extend time. They just kick you out the room. I would say overall decent experience if you go with a good group of people because the place was not good.

If you're looking for a real authentic ktv place, I would suggest to go to Flushing or Brooklyn. This place ktv's system seems to be out of date and they use youtube to replace it. The service was great but the ktv experience was mediocre.
