Space NK Duke of York

As soon as I entered the store, the security guard fixed his eyes on my shopping bag and watched me closely. It felt as if he was waiting for me to steal something, mirroring my every move. Not wanting to be misunderstood, I kept my hands in my jacket pockets and only looked around with my eyes for the items I wanted. When I asked two female staff members, who were chatting away, about a product, they simply said it wasn’t available and showed little interest in helping. Having lived in this area for 20 years, I have rarely visited this shop, as I usually buy from elsewhere, and I have never really had a reason to come here. But after such an unpleasant experience, I will not be returning. Reading other reviews, it seems many customers have had experiences similar to mine. A thoroughly disappointing shop — not recommended.

Great range of All beauty products. Clean. Stock clean and visible. Not tatty. Staff very polite Very busy but spacious. Lovely lady offered samples she even made an effort to decant some for us to try.

I had a disappointing experience at Space NK on Sunday, 12/10/2025. The staff was rude and unprofessional, didn’t want to let me in and questioned whether I knew what I wanted, saying they didn’t have time because they were closing soon. When I mentioned I only needed to buy mascara and still have 5 mins, they asked if I knew which brand exactly, implying I wouldn’t have time to complete my purchase. At that point, I decided to leave. It was really off-putting.

People of colour avoid this location. The security guards working at this store between Thursday 21st August and Saturday 23rd August behaved in an appalling and discriminatory manner by racially profiling an innocent woman of colour who was simply shopping peacefully. She was forced to leave the store because of the inappropriate stares and behaviour from the two guards present on that day. This is unacceptable. Do better and put an end to such ignorant conduct. This incident occurred at the Space NK store on Kings Road.

I visited this store just to ask about certain items that I read about online but the hijabi French girl helped me so much and I learned so much from her about Caudalie brand including their logo that I ended up buying two products. She also showed me some other products based on what I asked her for that were either similar or could be a good alternative to what I wanted, I was so impressed with how much she told me abt the Victoria Bekham brand too knowing the store was busy and she was still able to be attentive to all of us that were asking abt certain products. I am definitely going back for more products . It was an unplanned visit but a very successful one 👍 A very happy customer.

I had a terrible experience at this Space NK last year when I visited with my wife. The staff blatantly ignored us, and when we finally had to ask for help, they acted like it was a burden to assist us. On top of that, it felt like everyone, including security, was watching us the entire time for no reason. The whole experience was uncomfortable, unwelcoming, and frankly insulting.

Usually love Space NK shops but this one is bizarrely rude, it’s like staff were going out of their way to be disruptive / unhelpful (I didn’t even need help?!). Wasn’t surprised to see other comments like this when I came to leave a review. For the price of their products, avoid. There’s plenty of good, friendly skin / hair care stores now.

So helpful on 2 occasions 1st when I bought stuff they didn't have it in stock so sent it to me it arrived the next day! 2nd time I was stuck with new eyeshadow and Nadia was marvellous I have a new Lisa Eldridge look. Big thanks

OK, I admit it, I am a beauty product whore. If there was a support group for this, I would be a regular member. And this lovely apothecary carries a little bit of everything from beauty products, to make up, to scented room candles, all from specialty, boutique brands. Many beauty items that hit the UK can usually be found here first. With brands such as ReVive facial line, Rodial boby creams, Diptyque candles, and Poppy Lipsticks are all here. I always go in, -just to browse- and come out with something to make me feel good. And with no calories involved!

I love the wide range of amazing products! Such a bad experience with the staff though..
