Spaghetti Warehouse Will Close Its Original West End Location After Nearly 50 Years - Eater Dallas

"Spaghetti Warehouse, after nearly fifty years of operation, is closing its original location in the West End. Known for its Italian-American menu featuring dishes like a 15-layer lasagna and spaghetti with hand-rolled meatballs, the restaurant's last day of business will be Sunday, October 20. The chain's Arlington location will remain open, and no other locations are affected." - Tierney Plumb

Easy to find for an out of towner like myself. I too noted the odor everyone else mentioned. I personally felt rushed. Apps and salads arrived together and w.i 5 min lunch arrived. I was hoping for a more relaxed lunch. I did not feel very waited on as my server was off on the side on her phone as I was trying to get her attention for more water. I ordered the 15 layer lasagna. A bit spicy for my taste. Seriously lacking in the cheese department was highly disappointed. Yet edible. I feel as if visiting there were probably better places to try.z

Visiting for Kansas City for a Jazz educators conference in early January. We had reservations for the jazz choir that was with us and we were a bit early, although they were nice enough to seat us early. They told us 15 minutes although it was closed to 30 - not a big deal since we were early. Waitress was very friendly and the food was really good!

I forgot to post this. I I had a bad experience at a different restaurant for my birthday breakfast. I went to Spaghetti Warehouse to get my free birthday meal for dinner. I had told the server what I had went through earlier for breakfast. She told the manager about my earlier experience. And he and her went out of there way to make up for the my bad experience from another restaurant. They made my birthday experience with them, an amazing day! I felt so special. It was awesome and the food was delicious. Thank you so much. My birthday was July 15 and I went on my birthday.

We were exploring downtown Dallas and bumped into spaghetti warehouse, an old favorite. The atmosphere and decor are a throwback. Gorgeous antiques help add esthetically to the dark, jewel tones. Staff greeted us several times to make sure the hostess had already greeted us. Our server helpful, anticipatory, courteous. Food was very delicious. I did not check reviews before stopping; however, our pay was pleased with friendliness, food, and price. We should return for seconds! :)

I decided to take my son here as he is about the age I went there for the first time. The atmosphere is great. We sat in the train car. The server was very polite and checked on us frequently. The Warehouse Red Sangria was to die for. I wish I could have drank more than 1. The spaghetti was a little over cooked and the sauce a little too sweet, but the Italian Sausage was delicious. The Italian Cream Tort was delectable, wish I could have eaten 2 pieces. I will be coming back again next time I am in Dallas.

Food is good; however, restaurant is gross, and service is awful. First time at the downtown restaurant. Place us dirty, dirty, dirty. Carpet is sticky, flat. Food, silverware, napkins on the floor all around. Restrooms are gross, flooded. Service is sloooooooooow, bad. Need more training, new management. Food is decent, more expensive at this location than the others, very abundant. Soup was cold, Caesar's salad with way too much dressing. Chicken, spaghetti, and lasagna are very tasty.

Omg, do not eat all day before you come here!! We ate ourselves into a stupor and still took half the food back to the hotel! Fried ravoili with marinara, dinner salad and chicken parmesan with side of spaghetti - Fabulous!!! Abby was our server and she was awesome!! The building is old, the floor uneven, so be careful. It is also huge with multiple dinjng areas and a bar section. As we were leaving, I noticed a glass case with salt water taffy and old fashioned twists (suckers) in various flavors. Couldnt pass up either one!! Definately a repeatable when we are near a Spaghetti Warehouse! Better yet, there needs to be one in Lubbock, Tx

Sharron was amazing! She has a wonderful personality and is eager to talk with you so if you want an awesome dining experience, make sure to ask for her. We went on a Monday around noon and it was rather empty. There was no wait and the food came out hot and fresh!
