This used to be a “go-to” spot, but wow, it has really taken a turn. Several people in our group reported their meals were “warm-ish,” like the kitchen was trying its best but just couldn’t fully commit. Those who ordered lasagna said it was so bland it felt like it needed counseling. I got an alfredo dish, and while the flavor was fine, hitting those surprise cold spots was not exactly the adventure I signed up for.
Our waiter was friendly, but we were caught off guard by the dress code—or… lack thereof. He arrived in a hoodie, sagging jeans, and carried with him a very strong personal fragrance, the kind that suggests he had just stepped out of a… let’s call it a very mellow cloud. On the plus side, he refilled our drinks fast, possibly because he had an impressive case of the munchies.
The atmosphere was fun to look at, the artwork was interesting, and the place itself was clean. Sadly, the food just didn’t match. With only four other tables occupied at lunchtime, I’m guessing things won’t improve unless the restaurant does a serious revamp.
Overall, a disappointing visit—seems like getting a good meal out these days is becoming as rare as a waiter in actual uniform.
