I haven't been in many yrs. I decided to make a trip back. My last experience service was good and the same goes for the most recent trip. My food last time wasn't hot, this trip it was. I get spaghetti and meatballs. The issue was the meatballs on my previous trip. I do love the inside of this place. It hasn't changed in all the years. It's a historical atmosphere that takes me back to my childhood memories of coming here. When I was a kid there was always a wait now a days you get right in.

The environment here is unchanged for decades and is a comfortable place for a family gathering. And that's exactly what this visit was. The environmen is inviting and offers up a lot of conversation starters. The food is the same menu items that you come to expect here. The quality just is not the same as I remember. Eeyore been around a long time and agrees. The beer chili was very runny and far from the great bold flavor it once had. The chicken parm was overly fried, so a bit dry and too crisp. The lasagna was okay, but the noodle was a bit slimy so the prep was lacking. And the pasta, the meat sauce was okay although the spaghetti was a repeat of the lasagna noodle, too slimy/ wet. The added sausage, goes with the overcooked theme. Overall, it's still okay. But this place should be better than just okay. At one time this location and a few others I been were all 5 star establishments with great food quality. Now it's the low end of a 3 star and on a slippery slope to a 2 star rating.

First of all the parking situation is horrible, it’s not terrible hard to find but there’s absolutely no easy access and if you miss it once you get suck in the one ways. And if you drive an SUV or truck your mirrors are 🦆🦆(a lovely time, almost better than the service) The bathroom was scary and waitstaff were severely inattentive and lacking in waitress and customers service training, not speaking of the clearly seasoned waitresses whom I dearly wished took our table. Speaking of I had the wrong dish brought out twice because the lady wasn’t listening nor writing down or orders and forgot about us multiple times. Anyways situations which were made all the more uncomfortable with the couple tables that were present (a larger party and an older couple) were all gossiping and complaining. I’m a huge pasta and spaghetti fan and I’m very let down to say the least haha, I would not recommend anyone though I may buy gift cards for my enemies <3

We met my sister here which is about half way between our place and hers. We have had other family meet us here as well. I'm positive we will be back SOON. Their food and employees are great 😋

Missing the origninal in Columbus we had to go try out Dayton's Spaghetti Warehouse. It didn't disappoint. The atmosphere was great, gave that classic Columbus vibe. The food was hot and delicious. Server was friendly and helpful. Pleased to have tried this location and wish Columbus still had this vibe going on!

Google
Love the restaurant and the food. Creepy people standing outside watching customers, and panhandling sometimes. I don't like that. Friend I went with last time, got a traffic camera ticket on 35. She wasn't speeding, but she would have to take the day off of work and lose nurse pay. She just paid the fine. So why would I want to go to Dayton again for anything and risk that?! Cameras are good out there, but people passing through, is just a money maker and taking money away from the businesses the city actually NEEDS. Spaghetti Warehouse I loved coming there. I just can't now.

Google
I used to go to Spaghetti Warehouse all the time. Hadn't been so got carry-out today. I got spaghetti with meat sauce. There was hardly any meat in the marinara sauce, and my bread was barely cooked. Had to put it in the oven to cook it all the way through. I will never eat there again. Won't be surprised when I see that they have closed.

Google
The place was sticky. Everything stuck like it had adhesive on it. Felt dirty. The staff there were great. The atmosphere good. The floors sticky tables sticky to point it tears napkins. Surely there is a cleaner that doesnt cause this. Just felt dirty. Food was fantastic.

Yelp
The weird unpleasant smell at the main entrance is off putting and the worn appearance of the carpet too. That said, I knew what I was getting and am okay with it. There aren't a huge amount of places downtown you can go mid afternoon. We got an order of spaghetti and a lasagna. One salad and one Italian wedding soup. Everything was fine, but seemed not as good as in years past. The bread and garlic butter was mediocre. Can't say if I'd return or not, unless I hear of an improvement.

Charles Y.

Yelp
Doesn't look like much from the outside and the inside has plenty of wear. But the experience was very positive. Great food and service. Waitress even let me sample the chili.

Momma S.

Yelp
Visit here for my birthday and I loved everything about the place. Front door parking, inside decor awesome, dinner in trolley greatest, food was lip smacking good.

Yelp
Ate at spaghetti warehouse last night before our show. Not a good experience. First we ordered the ravioli as an appetizer. It was brought to us without dipping sauce. She was just going to lay it down without saying a word about it. when questioned she stated they were out (5:00pm). We asked for marinara and got it. Salad was brown iceberg lettuce. For dinner I got the angel hair pasta with garlic butter sauce. It came with no butter or garlic-straight olive oil. Their food quantity is definitely not what it used to be, which is a shame. I could have gotten better pasta at Fazoli's .

Yelp
We (3) had lunch at Spaghetti Warehouse this past Saturday afternoon. Our waiter Ed was fantastic. Super personable and great service. We had lasagna, spaghetti & large chefs salad. The food was very good. And we love the ambience of the interior, a fun place to eat.

Amy W.

Yelp
Terrible service! Was told 40min wait and waited well over. Watched 3 families who came in after us get seated. Asked where we were in line and told next one. Two more parties went before us. We just left. Very disappointing!!

Dean S.

Yelp
Been going there since 1991 when I moved to Dayton from Toledo. Parking across the street was free after 6 PM and weekends forever! I parked there two weeks ago and no problem. They always had a sign on the door telling people not to park there before 6 PM.I had my car towed and I had to produce my registration to prove it was my car, when I had a license and the keys to the car! I will never eat there again, and I used to buy a $1000 in gift cards to the place. Make sure you have $160 in cash to retrieve your car and tow operator just treats you like dirt! Screw that place, they lost a customer for life! The food quality has suffered for several years and now this!

Gary G.

Yelp
It's been years actually over 30 since I have been here. The service was excellent and the bread and salad was good as well. Nice portion on the wine was an added touch. I had the traditional spaghetti and meatballs.... Just average as the meatball was a little soft for my liking. Not as spicy as I like. The chicken Parmesan was really good And warmed up the next day made it even better. It's a hit or miss IMO The ambience was very nice......

Yelp
We booked a private event for a company presentation dinner. We were pleased with the price and space. Unfortunately the room was concerning. A/C broken, dust piling and possible asbestos (also falling from the ceiling), sticky/ dirty chairs and tables. I had to leave the room due to heat induced nausea. Whole restaurant smells like socks and roach spray. This room is a health concern. The staff means well but this is not acceptable. I suggest that private events are held off until this is fixed. It was an embarrassment to have possible customers attend our event in this room. I am happy no one had a reaction to the heat and dust.

Yelp
I hadn't been to a spaghetti warehouse since Covid. The one in my city shut down after the lockdowns. I ordered lasagna, but I don't remember it with so much sauce. It's was not the same. It lacked flavor. My husband ordered the warehouse chopped salad. That too was lacking flavor. The best part was the hot sourdough bread, the lemon berry cake, and the wedding soup. That was delicious. The service was ok. Another waiter kept assisting my waitress. Spaghetti warehouse has always had a unique collection of antiques, which I totally love.

Troy C.

Yelp
I read a lot of reviews on this place... In my youth we used to come here when I lived in Dayton; And there was a certain degree of nostalgia to be back in town many years later and see that it was still open...The reviews that are out there recently seem to indicate a downward spiral of quality of food quality of service general ambience issues... But that was not the case my experience with my wife was outstanding all of the nostalgia and all of the historical antiques and other collectibles that are in the Warehouse are part of the appeal... Was there a little bit of dust here probably but I can take you to any restaurant and show you that what matters is the quality of service the food amounts and food prices which are absolutely amongst the best that you will find for casual dining... They had a special for a bottle of wine for $15 on her entire list we took advantage of that...Those of you that are critiquing the place maybe need to go somewhere higher end if that's what you expect but for those of us that are out there enjoying casual dining with price quality and food standards are going to continue to come here...Can't speak enough about Patrick our server and Sarah our hostess they were outstanding in their assistance with us... it is clear that the manager has maintained a good staff and deliver a good product and a good experience after being there for 16 years...I will be back when we're in Dayton they're still here and doing fine...this casual Italian dining vet your expectations and enjoy!

Yelp
Spaghetti Warehouse Dayton Several urban centers in US will offer a Spaghetti Warehouse, and Dayton is similar to others The service: very attentive, and well trained (in our experience) The ambience: - Problematic parking; and an Italian ambience Dining: Pasta plus - some good and some not. There are better Italian restaurants thought-out Dayton; however this location is near downtown entertainment. Not massed produce meals - cooked to order Caveat: Take care to avoid busy times; Do not order a steak at an Italian restaurant The tariff is appropriate for the fare.

Tim W.

Yelp
Their 15 layer lasagna cannot be beat! It's my favorite dish and I order it often when eating Italian. You just cannot beat it!! Their salad is great and their bread is amazing!! The service is alway great!!

Vickie A.

Yelp
The restaurant smells of roach spray and dirty socks. The floor is filthy. The food was watery and disgusting. I should have followed my first thought and get up and leave; however, I tried to support our local business. The manager came out and spoke to us and allowed me to voice my complaints. Our meals were comped. I pray that my concerns were heard and they will take the time to thoroughly clean this landmark and find a chef who has the desire to cook properly.

Stephen G.

Yelp
Went there for my BD. I had the spaghetti and meatballs and it actually wasn't bad and the rest of our party had different items from the menu. All stated that their meals were pretty good. Management might want to consider a deep cleaning because I noticed the fan blades were blanketed with dust and haven't been cleaned in a while. So I can imagine if I looked a little bit harder I'd probably find a ton of items. They might want to consider updating this restaurant.... tables need to refinished, maybe some better lighting, etc.

Yelp
After arriving early for our reservation we were sat in a hidden area of the restaurant. We asked the hostess 3 times for a waiter waitress. We waited over 30 minutes to have someone take our drink orders. It didn't get any better from there. I've never had such a bad experience here. I've been coming here since my sisters nursing graduation in 1988. What a shame that this is how they care about customers who have been regular supporters for so long. We won't be back.

Jennifer L.

Yelp
Worst service is ever ! We made a reservation thinking we would be seated and order quickly . Once we were seated we didn't hear from any waiters. After waiting for 40 minutes and approaching five different staff members, including the manager, no one seemed to care. We received no attention, not even water or silverware. It wasn't worth the wait, and we ended up leaving. we should've left after 10 minutes of waiting Don't bother making a reservation you're still gonna wait BUNS SERVICE if I could give zero stars I would

Rebekah K.

Yelp
Had a wonderful time at the new location! Our server Crystal was great and the food and service were even better! Will definitely be back

Yelp
I ate here for the first and most likely only time this weekend. I so wanted to like Spaghetti Warehouse but I was not impressed. My partner and I decided that we would try it as the restaurant is in a beautiful old building and I'd heard of people eating here for years. To start, the ambiance was far less than par. We sat at the bar and it was dingy, dusty and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. He ordered a seltzer and I had a beer. My only reasoning for 2 stars is the fact that they did have a decent amount of beer on tap and the service was very friendly. The food though was pretty sub par. The Toasted Ravioli were greasy and pretty tasteless. And the "House salad" was your basic iceberg mix with ranch. Pretty boring. For entree I had Spaghetti and Meatballs. The spaghetti was WAY over cooked and mushy. The meatballs didn't taste terrible but they were very soft and mush as well. I can understand why they're so popular with older folks as you wouldn't need teeth to eat this dish. I'm sorry, it just wasn't good. If you're looking for good Italian, Spaghetti Warehouse is definitely not a choice to make and I couldn't recommend it, and I wanted to like it so much.

Yelp
It is depressing to see how far down hill this place has gone. I love this place but it is hard to keep giving it another try. We went there last night, and as soon as we walked in, we had to wait for the other 3 groups who were in front us that were all complaining to the manager about various things. They lost our reserve but they still had open tables. We sat down and the table was dirty. Not like crumbs, but slimy feeling and gross. The table was rickety and felt like it would break if we put weight on it so we didn't put our elbows on the table. It was also on wheels and kept moving around. The chairs were taped together with electrical tape. But, those aren't the things that really bothered me. It was Saturday and their Coke machine was out. Then they were out of iced tea. They had to brew more tea so that was a 20 minute weight. We ordered an appetizer and our food from a waitress who was less than enthusiastic and that is being nice. The appetizer are out and we still didn't have silverware so we asked if we could get some and she said "well, I'm not the one who seated you". I don't know why that mattered but she brought some back and dropped it o. The table with a clank and walked off. I felt like we were bothering her by being there. Anyway, I was looking forward to the food and was extremely disappointed. I got spaghetti with meat sauce and got some dried out spaghetti with a tablespoon size scoop of watered down meat sauce. My wife got chicken fettuccine which came with 3 small chunks of rubbery chicken and th Alfredo sauce was runny like milk and tasted like it had soap in it. She didn't eat it. We told the waitress and her response was. "OK, do you want a box?" I was going to complain, but it appeared the manager had his hands full with other things so we just left. It was awful.

Alex L.

Yelp
customer service is horrible. waitress looked like she didn't care. they were not busy at all and waited 25 min for refills. the so called signature lasagna tastes like they took it out of the freezer and put it in the microwave. atmosphere is great and the train car is cool but the food doesn't match the atmosphere.

Susan G.

Yelp
My family used to to go to Spaghetti Warehouse when the kids were small. Tonight my Son and I were accompanied by his two kids. When we walked in we were greeted my a woman at the desk and she proceeded to walk down the main isle and we followed. we got to the end of the building and she turned around and said that she was fixing a table for a reservation. So , we had to walk all the way back and wait. Finally another woman took us to the left room of the building, where the bar was and no other diners and sat us in the first booth on the left. There was broken stained glass behind my head. we missed out on the pretty lanterns and the ambiance of the main dining room. The food was plentiful, but unremarkable, the service was slow, and the overall experience wasn't anything that any of us care to repeat.

Christine B.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor & order the manicotti. Loved having both the Alfredo and marinara sauces on the same plate. Historical atmosphere with the trolley car, stained glass, and decor. Our server, Scott, was SO patient with our massive group! Parking downtown was a bit of an issue with an event in town.

Aimee W.

Yelp
Miss the old building but Crystal took amazing care of us and the food is great. Had an amazing view of the Commons.

Keith K.

Yelp
Not sure of the low reviews. I have never had a bad meal from here. Portions are big, Consistent, and very tasty. The sweet tea is great. The only thing they are lacking is cannoli for dessert. Overall great food.

Tiffany D.

Yelp
Went here this evening. The food was awesome. I came to see the mystery and mayhem show. I definitely recommend people to go see there shows. It was super fun and entertaining. The food was delicious. I had the chicken parm. It was so good. I also had chocolate cake. I have a picture of that below! The Spaghetti Warehouse food was delicious. I definitely recommend this place. I know I definitely will be back again!

Paula A.

Yelp
The place is filthy and the service is poor. We really wanted to go there and have a good Italian meal but this place was awful. So bad our kids who eat any Italian thing said it was nasty. I did not make it out of the restaurant without throwing up. The sauce that they use is so spicy I could not finish my meal as my mouth was on fire.

Lauren H.

Yelp
The vibe is vintage, the food was good! We came for a rehearsal dinner and every guest enjoyed what they ordered and making multiple ppl happy can be a tall order so deff recommend giving them a try.

Alex C.

Yelp
First visit in 5 years yesterday. Feels like a shell of what the place used to be. Food and service were mediocre at 5:30pm on a Friday. Made a reservation online, but when we arrived, the host had no knowledge of any reservation and seemed bothered about it. Fortunately they were not very busy, so we were seated after a few minutes. Food was pretty plain, lacking flavor and any real pride in the presentation. Seems like they no longer make sauces in house, everything tasted like it came from GFS. The one thing we could not ignore was the dusty decor, sticky tables, and a strong smell from a sour floor drain. Gross. Please close the place for a few days and give it the deep cleaning it deserves. This building has great character, but CLEAN THE RESTAURANT PLEASE.

Hilary A.

Yelp
Would give 0 stars if possible. Food was terrible. Italian sausage seemed deep fried and was so over cooked the ends were hard as a rock and were inedible. The ravioli made my daughter gag and the spaghetti sauce is from a jar. Our server was inattentive and never came back for refills and never brought our calamari appetizer.

Matt E.

Yelp
As an Italian Food Fan, I really wanted to like this place. However, I feel the food falls in the bland category for me. When the best part of the meal is desert. Well.......there it is.

Robert B.

Yelp
The family went here before taking on the Dayton scavenger hunt. Everyone had great meals & our server took good care of all eight of us. It's always a good experience at the warehouse. We need to do it more often.

Julia B.

Yelp
Not sure why the low ratings for this place. My boyfriend and I love going here for date night. Yeah it's not the best nor most authentic italian food out there, however it is good food for the price and you get a lot of food. I had the fettuccine Alfredo when I visited and it was absolutely delicious. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Jeff D.

Yelp
I am surprised this place is still open. There was some kind of dead animal smell. Very dated and dingy looking. The food my wife ordered was not good as she said. My spaghetti and meatballs wasn't bad. They don't have enough help but our waitress did the best she could.

Katie K.

Yelp
If I could give zero I would. Ive never complained or left a review anywhere. We are a family of 6. We had coupons that said buy 1 meal get 1 free. We triple checked the fine print. It says 1 coupon per person. After struggling to find parking, walking across sticky floors, and sitting in broken chairs; they brought us bread and butter and we made our order. Luckily I asked if they need the coupons now or later. Waitress said they can only take 1 coupon per table. I showed her how it says per person and she said yeah she knows but her manager only allows one coupon per table. She said maybe she could press them to accept 2 but she knows they wouldn't accept more. So they acknowledge that the coupon says one thing but they choose to do otherwise. They shouldn't be allowed to give out coupons like this then. Their coupons should state one coupon per table if that's what they are doing. False advertising. We left and the kids were upset. Don't release coupons you are not willing to honor. This put families like ours in unfortunate situations where we have to leave and put your staff in uncomfortable situations where they likely deal with angry customers who maybe find out after their meal that their coupons won't be honored. Extremely disappointed.

Richard R.

Yelp
Horrible food, dirty restaurant. Don't waste your time and money. Can't remember when I've had a worse dining experience. Horrible, just horrible.

Adam M.

Yelp
I had never gone to Spaghetti Warehouse until this trip. Was I in for a treat! In downtown Dayton, the restaurant is very eclectic in its decoration. The entrance has a carved wooden confession booth and lots of stained glass windows. The dining room has many booths made from brass headboards and footboards. The stained glass chandeliers and oak dining tables are also unique, but the full-sized trolley car really gave the place a charming vibe. Now to the important stuff...the food! The bread loaf and butter were great! I ordered the 15 layer classic lasagna with Alfredo sauce. It. Was. Incredible. It was DELICIOUS! My husband got baked ziti with chicken parmigiana that was also excellent. We finished up with a piece of Cheesecake Factory Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake. The meal was outstanding and the atmosphere was charming. This place has become my new favorite which is sad because I live 2 hours away! Get yourself to Spaghetti Warehouse!

Yelp
We made reservations for mother's 86 birthday then onto Lion King. We arrived at 5:15 and were seated fairly quickly. Things looked good and waiter brought water and salads right away. Then we waited, he disappeared, we waited, ordered and waited. More people were seated in this time around us. A school group with 30+ kids were seated around 5:45. A tray was brought out and one meal placed until the waiter to realize this was the wrong order. So there went the hope of food...literally. Everyone around us was seated after us, finished eating and gone before we were served our meal at 6:35.... at which point we had to leave. I asked another waiter for help as ours was unavailable most of the time. I saw to go boxes and grabbed them. Hurridly we packed our meals, and our waiter came by. I said i need the bill, we have to go. He walked away with the credit card and didn't come back quickly. I asked anther waiter if he could help, we needed bags for 7 meals. Ours eventually came back and placed containers of food in bags sideways. I asked for bill again and he hesitated as he was now trying to organize singing. 6:45, don't want to be locked out of auditorium at Schuster for beginning of show. So with 2 elderly people, we tried to leave as fast as possible. Meals placed sideways in the bags spilled out into bags and there went the $125 meal no one had time to eat. It takes a lot for my father of 87 to feel frustrated. When the meal was delivered and he tried to take a bite, he tossed his fork down and said this was not worth trying to eat. He did enjoy one beer for 1.25 hours with salad and bread but my mom didn't get hers. We almost missed the opening. We fell way through the cracks on this one despite planning ahead. I know they were busy, but it worked for all those around us but not what should have been a nice 86th celebration. All the food ended up in the garbage and into the back of the SUV which now has red sauce stains.

Michael R.

Yelp
They have a public WiFi that requires a password. When I asked for the password, they refused to give it with no explanation. I felt the same as if I had ordered a menu item only to be told I couldn't have it. I won't be back which is a shame because the food, service and ambience were good and I was with a group of 21 persons.

Valerie P.

Yelp
your basic chain but with a little more love since you're in a small town like dayton oh! located downtown, this restaurant was decorated from top to bottom and made you feel like you were in an early 2000s pizza hut with a flair of train station. fried appetizer combo was fried to perfection and the salad was fresh! i got their lasagna which was average and my friend go the chicken parmesan which looked dry. our server was definitely on top of it and made the experience better! we liked how they had napkins and utensils already in a bucket at the table!

Burgandy U.

Yelp
After trying their spaghetti, I went home and made my own spaghetti wish some cheap sauce. These dudes aren't Italian. An Italian lives in jersey Staten Island or Brooklyn and makes sauce and uses fresh basil... fresh tomatoes, I'm an Arab an cook pasta better than them. They didn't even boil the spaghetti .... Properly at a place called spaghetti warehouse. You mean you have tons of this basura? Like a whole warehouse. Terrible name for a restaurant. How original and creative a spaghetti restaurant that sell you 25 cents worth of pasta and sauce for 15 bucks My son eat nothing but my spaghetti and I would never eat it I wouldn't want him to smell that trash on my breath. Fire everybody. I give you zero stars. Y'all need to be fair with your food and have the zero star option because I haven't been to any restaurant that has spaghetti in the name and doesn't know how the heck to make it good lol

Morgan D.

Yelp
Not very good. Use to love it. Decor is cute but needs cleaned. I got spaghetti and cheese triangles. Smells musky.

Trinston F.

Yelp
I haven't eaten at Spaghetti Warehouse since the late 80's and much hasn't changed. Actually, it looked the same from what I remember. Old tables and chairs and dirty carpet if that's eclectic so be it. Overall it was clean and smelled good. Surprisedly tables weren't sticky. Myself being Vegan I never shame restaurants for lack of plant based options beyond Iceberg Lettuce lol but when restaurants attempt to offer gluten free products they usually get it terribly wrong. Spaghetti Warehouse's gluten free spaghetti is garbage, cheap ingredient as an option. Badly undercooked, extremely rubber texture and didn't hold sauce, think of it like chewing gum. Waitress explained, "regular spaghetti contains butter." So, Spaghetti must be made into large batches if there frontline inventory can't be served without butter for those who aren't gluten free. Spaghetti sauce was delicious but I did request that kitchen drained liquid off prior to serving. I've read about complaints their sauce is runny and greasy, I didn't notice any greasiness from marinara just nice chucks of tomato's in sauce with hint of flavor but if your looking for robust mouthful of flavor it's not that at all. However, I did like their marinara sauce. My wife ate lasagna and she had no complaints. I didn't care for their bread it was to dense and they don't serve herbed bread dipping oil. Bit mind blowing kitchen couldn't serve fresh basil. Service was really good our waitress, she was friendly and kept up pace with such a busy atmosphere being a full house. Restaurants are like people being people they exist with what they have to offer. Spaghetti Warehouse seem to have a good customer base and I guess that's good enough for them but I do feel they at least could offer herbed dipping oil with side of marinara.

Kathy T.

Yelp
Uhmmmm you must try the calimari... It's better than a seafood place! That's what I order every single time.. With a side of their delicious ranch dressing that they make themselves! My handsome hunk of a picky eater also loves the place.. He always orders beer chili and the meatballs... We leave there wishing we saved some for later... Or ordered more just to take home! Staff is great and they are always busy (at least when we go)... But rarely have a problem... Must try sgetti warehouse..I can't imagine anyone being disappointed! I know I want some calimari now!

Mike J.

Yelp
My family's most recent and by far the worst experience we've ever had here! Service was almost non-existant especially for a large reserved party! Reserved our table(s) for 7pm and didn't leave until 10:30pm! They closed at 10pm! Drinks were all wrong and mine had an employees long hair shoot up my straw while consuming, yes you are reading right! Food was cold and most were wrong or poorly prepared at 9:30 when the food arrived. Not once did the manager check up on the area. All the billing was wrong! So use your own judgment but my family will not be going there until things are fixed especially the trip hazard flooring past the trolley.

Robyn R.

Yelp
Food was mediocre. The bread was literally frozen grocery store Texas toast. This place needs a deep clean! Antique is one thing but dusty and worn out is another. Sat in the trolley close to the kitchen and could smell cigarette smoke from there. Service was the best thing going for it. Our server was very nice and attentive.

Steve S.

Yelp
You'll like the new old SW. Ok, some guys at work wanted to stop here for lunch so we did. I'm so glad we did! It was just sold and under new ownership and they have upped their game! I had wedding soup that was really quite good! Loaded with vegetables and little meatballs- the broth was well done. I also had a grilled chicken sandwich. Just delicious. The other 3 ordered various dishes and they all really liked what they had. Overall: under new ownership it's clear they are starting by making magic in the kitchen. The place still needs lots of work but the have focused on the food and it's A+. Great! Yup, I'll be back! Can't wait! 3 of us stopped here for lunch. This place has an interesting mix of stained glass lamps and an old trolly car that you can sit in and enjoy. The plus - food was very good: I had soup and salad. For soup I chose the wedding soup. It was very good chicken, meatball and noodle soup. Salad was house salad which was a good mix of veggies. Chicken Parmesan and chips. Chicken with sauce on a bun, it was great. Came with potato chips. Lasagna and salad. Also yummy! The minus - the place needs updating, flooring and tables need refinishing. And the bathrooms (eww) need serious help!

Yelp
We signed up for the Ultimate Feast and a couple of tall (22 oz) draft IPAs from Rhingheist Brewing for our lunch hour. The feast came with two salads and warmed bread with butter. There was more than enough for a box of left overs. A very cool location with a trolley car and dining inside of it. Reminds me of an old-time italian restaurant. Things are a little dated but the food can't be beat. Our host was super nice and brought out crayons and coloring paper for our little one. Definitely hit the spot for the family.

Yelp
This place is nostalgic for me. Any special event in dayton and our family would come here, so naturally, I wanted to share it with my family. I always loved the sourdough bread and the food was very flavorful. We shared the ultimate feast and it was a feast indeed. We had a big box of leftovers too. The price was reasonable ! We also had a couple beers from a cincy brewery. The only thing was the place needs a few upgrades for example the bench we were at almost fell back when I sat down. The carpet looked like the same carpet that was there 30 years ago. It looks like they are doing some renovations in the back area, hopefully working it's way forward. The cool little trolly was still there. I will love coming to this place when I am in town.
