Situated in a posh Hilversum neighborhood is where this restaurant is located. We had the famous Indonesian rijsttafel lunch with all sorts of great and well prepared dishes from around their country. Excellent service and the restaurant feature a nice open air terrace.

Superb cooking, amazing hospitality. The rijst tafel is unbeatable, at a very reasonable price for such variety and quality.

If you are seeking a dining experience that combines exclusivity with affordability, this establishment is highly recommended. The location is ideal. I embarked on a leisurely stroll through the natural surroundings near my residence and promptly arrived at my intended destination. The staff members possess a high level of product knowledge. They exhibit professionalism and kindness in their interactions. However, I find the wait time for the food to be quite lengthy. There is room for improvement, I must say. Additionally, the proximity of the tables is such that I am able to distinctly overhear the conversations of neighbouring diners. The quality of the food was satisfactory. I would recommend making a reservation prior to your arrival. I intend to return in the future.

One of BEST of The BEST Food we've eaten during our stay in Netherland and being Indonesian, I was so thrilled to have the Excellent Authentic Indonesian in Hilversum...a legendary Michelin Authentic Indonesian Food that must be tried during your stay in Netherland...We met Ibu Marlina, the owner who happily recommended all the special to us, , Gery, Tri, Paskali, Martin and every service member who was truly welcoming and made the whole experience complete.

A pleasant, intimate restaurant in a quiet, residential area. The rijstafel dishes had good texture and flavour, and the service and atmosphere were pleasant. You can see why it has earned a Michelin 'Bib Gourmand'

We came in to celebrate Father's Day today and to our surprise, they had the Sunday brunch specials. I have to say that this has become my number 1 favorite restaurant. Authentic Indonesian food, tasty desserts & really friendly and hardworking staff. Would definitely visit again and happily recommend this place to anyone who appreciates good Indonesian good. I’ve been coming here for many years, and my aunt and uncle who first invited me here for over 50. It’s without a doubt the best Indonesian food I’ve ever had (especially the rijstafel). I even travel from Brussels just to eat here. It used to hold a Michelin star many years ago, and to me, it’s still worthy of five stars!

Indonesian restaurant with very nice garden in the summer and in the middle of quiet luxury villas house in Hilversum, The Netherlands. Delicious Indonesian food with modern touch. Recommended if you’re carvings Indonesian cuisine around Hilversum, Amsterdam or Utrecht!!

Stumbled upon this place by accident with totally zero regrets. Apparently it's quite famous since you need to make a reservation approx.. 3 days in advance! Nevertheless they allowed us to quickly eat something before the place was full. We got 1.5 hours since our spot was actually reserved. Man, that food is great. No wonder they are in the Michelin Guide! We really enjoyed everything we've tried and come back another time to eat more (careful, they actually serve A LOT). If you are into Indo food, do not hesitate to go to this family owned restaurant, I repeat; do not hesitate to go. Amen.

Ditto Michael C. As he suggested, and despite the 3.5 hour duration (would've been longer had we not asked to order and later for the check), we do owe him one. By 'we' I mean my immediate family, plus the collective Yelp community. Rijsttafel just bumped Korean BBQ off its 30-year perch at the top of my list. Great indonesian food in a nice atmosphere! We ate here 3 times while living in the Netherlands for several months and had a great experience each time. It's hidden away in an upscale neighborhood (we discovered it as we were staying nearby) but well worth the visit. Great service and the food is delicious. So fun how they serve the food over little candles to keep it warm. Lots of little dishes and flavors to enjoy. I have to avoid gluten (which sucks) and we eat vegetarian but they accomodated us, no problem. Had a wonderful chat with one of the owners/managers! Even my 16 year old nephew loved it! When we return to the NL we will be sure to visit again! Not cheap but worth a visit at least once.

If you like indonesian food and you need some benchmarks.. Try Spandershoeve. I have been a regular guest for 2 years now... And i havent been disapointed once. To me its one of the best indo restaurants in the country. They team is great and friendly and each dish has its own personality and flavor ( opposite to so many indon restaurants where all dishes sort of taste the same). Try the menu.. Or order rijsttafel.. To have the best experience. Spandershoeve is worth a 1 hour drive :) the prices are 100% fair and you getmore then what you pay for.

Being born and raised in former Dutch East Indies I think I know something about "Rijsttafel". This is the best Indonesian restaurant I know. Service is great and food is great in a great ambiance.
