Brian was extremely helpful during this difficult process. He made the process very easy and straightforward. He answered the phone personally each time we called and was able to provide specifics on timeline and prices. We called multiple places and we chose Spangler for their responsiveness, professionalism, ease of planning, and caring nature. I would highly recommend this place.

In the fall my family need to do a basic cremation, and appreciated having a local option to keep the logistics simple. Communication was a challenge, and took lots of proactive work to try to understand when things were happening during the process. Make sure to read the pricing sheet closely before the process starts.

I am very satisfied with Spangler Motuary. The service was great! Our arranger, Kevin, took care of everything for us and made sure we had everything we needed. I chose the cremation package and am planning to take my dad back to Vietnam. He helped to prepare all of the international permits and paperwork needed to fly my dad's ashes to Vietnam. He was also very accommodating with last minute changes and made sure we had everything set up for our religious memorial service. The day of the funeral service, Markos and Patrick were impressively professional, courteous and very informative as they provided me with next steps throughout the service. I didn't have to keep track of time which allowed me to focus on my family and guest and not worry about anything else. The way they spoke was very sincere and calming which put me at ease during this difficult time. I really appreciate everyone at Spangler. Their chapel was really beautiful, spacious, and well lit. Restrooms were very clean. Their live stream service was very helpful for people who could not make it to the funeral. I had family members from North Carolina, Florida, Australia and Vietnam who attended the funeral by watching the live stream. Thank you, Spangler Mortuary for being there for us!

Got soaked by the sprinklers when I walk by!! Fix them please!

1. Your live stream started late. Thus missing the first 15 minutes of the service. 2. Your camera view was too wide. Should have been just the speaker & maybe the head shot of the casket. 3. The photos slideshow should have been directly connected to the computer source. We could not make out the photos on the stream. 4. Your live stream should have ended sooner. No need to be watch the family after everyone left.

I came to this funeral home to pay respect and say goodbye to my sister in-law on Tues and Wed this week. I have been to a few funeral homes and I find this place to be excellent. The staff were courteous, respectful, and helpful. Thank you for the great service.

Very compassionate and reasonable fees. The staff tries to accommodate the best they can, during a difficult time.

They did an excellent job on the services, both Phoenix and Gene provided great help. We had no idea what to do, but they explained to us in very detail and responded very quickly. Very professional, and respectful. The only bad experience we had is purchasing the flowers. The default delivery address was NOT the funeral home will be held; need to update the funeral home address manually. If people didn't pay attention, their flowers might be delivered to the wrong location. Because we didn't receive a few. The staff from flower platform was very nice, but one of the flower shops (we don't know which one) was not good. They delivered flowers late and missed one of the flowers. Suggest to follow up after placing flower orders.

Great service during a very hard time in our lives. Very kind and accommodating people.

They put a wrong name of the mom on our baby's death certificate. The wrong name will stay there forever. Be careful if you want to have a good closure. We sent our deceased premature baby to Spangler for cremation, hoping for a peaceful closure. When we picked up the death certificate, we noticed THERE IS A TYPO IN THE MOM'S NAME ON THE DEATH CERTIFICATE! After calling the CA record office, it looks like it is a MISTAKE OF THE FUNERAL HOUSE when they typed the name in the system. More devastating, THIS WRONG MOM NAME WILL STAY ON THE DEATH CERTIFICATE FOREVER. By CA gov rule, there will be no direct correction on a vital record, they can only do an amendment, that is, adding another page and says there is something wrong. Spangler is very sorry for this error and helped us file for amendment. But unfortunately nobody can undo the errors. We ended up getting this death certificate with wrong mom name on 1st page with an amendment.

Spangler mortuary made the whole process very professional. From picking up the body from hospital to last rites and cremation, everything was taken care really well. Demise of a dear one is always very emotional and every family member wants the last rites to be done in the best possible way. We are glad we chose Spangler mortuary. My family has been using Spangler Mortuary for decades. Before Spangler bought them it was Wyant and Smith. They took care of my family when my great grandparents passed ( and I'm 62 ) so that gives you some idea of how long they've been around. This was the first funeral I had to make the arrangements for and I didn't know what to expect. Upset and emotional and not sure of what to do I did what my family has done for years and turned to Spangler. They were comforting and compassionate and offered me options but more importantly they offered me gentle guidance. They do this every day and I don't. They saved me. We put together something that honored my moms wishes, and provided the family closure and a way to honor my mother. I'm grateful to Brian who worked with me almost daily to navigate all that's required. The cremation was handled by Marcos, who was very kind and told me that they had taken care of her and handled her gently throughout the process. He offered me a few minutes alone with her to say goodbye and when I was ready he would explain the process to me. I knew what was going to happen before it happened which helped comfort me. He waited for me to leave before starting the machine. Thank you Marcos for being so gentle with her. Once again Spangler exercised great care in taking care of my family. I would recommend them to anyone.

Like all death of a beloved love one, it's feels pretty tragic. My dad passed in the worst time of the world's climate. Things just happened to open up at the right time. How to navigate this strange time is very weird. We're glad we went with Spangler that kept this event coordinator (me) up to speed with everything. We were given specific times for the viewing and funeral due to the pandemic protocol but they were super understanding. Made the process much easier to pull through at such a difficult time. So thank you Spangler Mortuary, to you and your staff. Thanks for allowing me to set up what I needed to in order to honor my dad, the way he deserves to be.

Afterlife planning is seldom pleasant or joyful. This business allowed our family to make arrangements in a relatively painless manner during a difficult time. They have a small reception area for snacks and beverages. The main service area is a non-denominational room. It could probably fit around 100 people comfortably. The crematorium is outdoors in the rear of the building adjacent to the parking lot. There is a small courtyard that could fit 8-10 people for those who wish to witness the cremation. There are 2 story condos next door within clear view. The entire place was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The funeral director was as kind and respectful throughout the process. Pricing runs around $6000 on up. One thing I've learned is industries like funeral, nursing homes, and even daycare they know they have you in a vulnerable spot and there is little leeway in terms of pricing. Also, I'm sure there is a lot of "guilt spending" from survivors that feel that they could have done more for the ones that have passed.

I cannot imagine anyone providing better service than that provided us by Spangler Mortuary. Their experience showed by the care and patience they exhibited in answering questions and providing support in all facets of our ordeal. I highly recommend them.

Our family chose Spangler to honor and say our last farewell to our most beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather. We are very pleased with their service . I would like to express my thanks to Gene for offering all kinds of supports and being so helpful!

We came to Spangler Mortuary after my uncle unexpectedly passed. We met with Kevin and he made the funeral planning so much easier for us. He took care of all the logistics and helped on the day of the services. When you're dealing with the loss of a loved one, you really appreciate working with people who are knowledgeable, compassionate and can just get things done. Would recommend Spangler Mortuary to everyone.

These people have no respect for the dead. They changed our loved one's cremation time and notified us an hour before it was supposed to happen. Take your business elsewhere.

I had contacted Spangler Mortuary via email a few weeks before my mom passed and they were very responsive. Once the communication started with Kevin, he made the whole process so easy and walked me thru step by step. Once we were ready for my mom's final viewing before cremation, the staff went over and beyond my expectations. My mom looked beautiful and peaceful. They gave is enough space and time to say our last goodbyes and for that I am forever grateful. Thank you, Spangler Mortuary, for your help and sensitivity.

3.5 Stars. I guess that's pretty good, considering how horrible any mortuary/funeral home experience is going to be! The facility: easy to find, parking is fine, Service: every time I called, someone was available and was helpful. I thought they had pretty good service. The funeral director we dealt with was young and was a bit more salesman like than compassionate, but it was fine. The day of our service a different funeral director was there and he was really nice, attentive and sensitive. Note that we went to the Sunnyvale location, but bodies are stored at the Mt. View site. This means that the body is transported a couple of times before the actual funeral. I don't like the idea of the body being moved so much, but it was fine. The mortician/embalming/makeup that was done was well. It looked pretty good. Facility: The ceremony room is newly remodeled. The floor, painting, furnishings, are all new. The room is very bright and inviting. The carpet is new, the bathrooms are clean and new also. They have a reception area available for rent, which is pretty convenient. They have a large screen available for slide shows and videos (DVD). they also have a piano available. Overall, the faciilty is nice, clean and convenient. We also visited the Mt View location which was fine too. It was more traditional and parking is a bit more difficult. Overall, I hope that I won't be needing funeral services for awhile, but I would recommend them and would use them again.

Missed my grandmother's cremation because they changed the time without letting us know. It's an insult to the living and the dead.

Tonight, 6/22/19 there was a viewing for a close family friends. And not to make it long, this African American dude, tall and skinny confronted my son and bullied my son by him. First, he saw my son drinking a soda in a cup. and son didn't see the sign of no food or drink in the lobby, or whatever. And he came up to him and told him to go back where he got the drink and finish it there and if he spilled his drink, this fool is gonna make my son clean up. Second, my son came from outside and when he opened the door to go back in, this lady was going out and didn't really see her because he was rushing to go inside. And this fool again yelled at my son and said, "be gentleman and open the door. Nah! You need to learn". Who the hell is he to lecture my son like that in front of us? And I told him, "he didn't see the woman as he was going inside". I stood up and wanted to talk to him more. And he said "I'm just kidding". Oh hell no! He wasn't kidding at all yelling my son that he needed some learning to do. This dude needs a little training to mind his fucking business, do his job and be fucking professional and not picking on somebody he'd never encountered in his entire life. Who is he to judge the visitors in your facility? He is psycho.

Tricky place to find, and parking just sucks. When I die, I would probably pick this place just to troll the shit out of everyone, so they can have a hard time finding parking for it too.

Our family had an excellent experience with Spangler Mortuary. We were in something of a rush, but there were no problems. The people we dealt with were very competent, informative, helpful and kind. The parking is tricky, so it's best to tell people that if they need to leave on the early side, they had better arrive late so as to have their cars in the front row -- or, better, should park on a nearby street.

My family and I were very impressed with the service from Spangler Mortuary. Larry was very passionate and showed great empathy. From the reception at the funeral home to the burial at the Gate of Heaven, Larry was always by my side to offer his assistance and advises. I am very grateful that I had Larry guiding us through a very difficult day. Thank you for everything.

We used Spangler Mortuary for my mama-in-law and it was a really good experience. They were sensitive & kind and made the whole sad situation manageable. Their facilities are beautiful and my mama looked so peaceful and pretty. Even the hire a Pastor Richard was fabulous and our attendant Keith at the service was really helpful.

Sell sell sell. I felt cheated at the worst time. They pretended to be sincere but I don't think cared about anything more than our money. Sad day. Nice exterior but we paid for it in end considering how far our folks had to walk. Like Cindy said, parking looks ok but half of it is illegal out on the busy street under the 'No Parking' signs.
