Spanglish Cocina+Bar

First off, they are going through a transition so we got to try some of the new food, however the staff and chef are still the same and they are amazing! The outside is unassuming and honestly didn’t know what to expect, but inside is bright and colorful with awesome touches. The food, however, is the highlight! We got an avocado salad starter, chicken and rice, and Cuban sandwich and beans. WOW. The avocado salad was so delicious I wanted more! The chicken was cooked to perfection - tender, juicy, and flavorful. Must go back once they establish their new menu!

Excellent new Cuban spot in West Ashley. I lived in Cuba for a semester in college and have made a few trips back since then, and nothing I've had locally tastes quite as authentic as Spanglish (gypsy pantry on Calhoun is a close second). If you're in the area, definitely stop by. Looking forward to them getting their liquor license so I can try out the cocktails!

Went during COVID so everything was to go, but still very good. Drinks were good too. Empanadas and yucca fries are amazing! Good portion sizes. Will definitely be back!

My husband and I stopped in tonight to finally try this place out! It’s a great spot - the food is awesome (seriously best Cuban sandwich I’ve ever had) and the service was great too! Sasha was our server, and there was another girl helping with our table too - she was so sweet! I forgot to ask her name. There’s really nothing else I can say though. It’s just that good.

A friend of mine said you should this little Cuban place. He was right this is a must try. The food was fantastic and I will definitely be back.

I loved it! The menu was small but still very flavorful food. My daughter had the chicken criollo and I had the Ropa Vieja (old clothes?) Very good sofrito flavor, staff was very attentive. It was super quiet for a Friday night so nit sure if people just don't know about it yet but its very good.

This place is absolutely amazing. The food is so good. You taste the love, pride, and care that put into each dish. This is food that truly touches your soul.

My partner and I used to visit Spanglish all the time when they were in the Workshop, and we've been eagerly awaiting the grand opening of their own place, it was worth the wait! We've been 3 times now and Tommy and Lynda have knocked it out of the park with Spanglish! The food is hearty and absolutely delicious, the decor is beautiful and the service is A+, harder and harder to find such good service in Charleston these days. Overall wonderful hip vibe and spot-on delicious Cuban food. Go visit, you won't be disappointed! Be sure to save room for Cuban coffees and dessert ❤️
