Spanish Village Review - Third Ward - Houston - The Infatuation

"Deeply loved by longtime regulars, many of whom have their pictures lining the walls, Spanish Village has been a cornerstone of the Third Ward serving some of Houston’s best Tex-Mex for over 70 years. Between whimsical string lights shaped like chile peppers, and sunshine pouring in through their huge windows, the inside of Spanish Village is lighthearted, inviting, and has cheeriness built into the walls. This is the sort of restaurant that could bring a smile out of anyone. If sentiment alone isn’t enough to get you here, there are also juicy beef fajitas, cheese and onion enchiladas smothered in rich gravy, and decadent chile con queso (add molina to make it spicy). The service is in no rush, so come here when you have time to burn—you’re probably going to need some extra time to babysit one of their very strong margaritas, anyway. " - Gianni Greene

Mr. Owen's is a slumlord and we were part of Hurricane Harvey victims placed there and the only person that really cared was Mrs. Faye she was a sweetheart the apartments are rundown and need to be torn down. Mr. Owen said he acquired the apartments when he "accidentally" fell off the roof and had an accident and the previous landlord had no insurance and Mr. Owen sued him and took the property from him. He was running for State Representative and glad he lost because he was no good.

I use to live here. I had to move. The manager isn't too bad. But it's the owner that needs to change. I use to live in unit 74 about 10 years ago. I hope Fay is the manager still

They have a slum lord for owner. The Devils Spawn. I wouldn't recommend a dog to stay there. Too high for the area it's in with no accommodations for children. Needs to be reported to the BBB and condemned ASAP!!! Not up to code on anything and the pictures that they're showing on here is false as HELL!!!

This is a wonderful small business. They offered bible study on Wednesday nights and always had an event on the holidays for the tenants and their children. I used to live here about a year ago but u moved to the Southwest with my daughter and her family. I hate I had to leave but I still go back to visit the staff when I have a chance.

I've lived at Spanish Village for 6yrs.and they have really made improvement. Its nice and quiet and don't have to worry about loud noise during the day or at night. It's a safe place to live.

These apartments really feel like a small community where everybody knows and looks out for one another. Its amazing the change that has occurred in such a short period of time. The staff works diligently to solve any issues that you bring them regardless of the situation.
