🙅🏿‍♀️If I could give this place zero stars I would. It’s a dark dump and hole in the wall. They don’t serve wine, but another customer there one night generously bought my hard ciders which is a sweet bear. On their website, I noticed they used to have a photo with a pretty offensive background displayed behind a band that represented that ugly time back in US history. Maybe the band performed there live, I guess🤷🏾‍♀️? This was very insensitive and tone deaf to certain groups. Specifically, melanated people. It looks like they may have taken that photo down and are making changes for the better now that they are aware of how they are perceived by a fresh set of eyes. That shouldn’t have slide through the cracks like that at this day, age, and climate for as long as it did and it demonstrates their complicity. 🤔 Perhaps it’s taking some time for them to catch up with the rest of the world and what’s considered to be offensive symbolism. That’s good on them for taking that simple step. If they did remove that offensive photo, at least that’s a start if they want all to feel welcomed. They seemed to be way too comfortable, complacent, and complicit with their actions, decisions and micro aggressive to have that photo displayed in plain sight for everyone viewing the website to see. So they clearly weren’t concerned about who they offended. It seems like they’ll let anyone in, but they don’t seem to care about making customers from other groups feel welcomed in a dominant community. That photo they removed from their website spoke volumes and will not be forgotten. Who knows how long it was there. I still won’t be back. I don’t recommend this place for military or veterans. Specifically, the non dominant groups in the community. Especially if that photo is still displayed on their website. It’s a huge red flag and sketchy environment in my opinion. I don’t recommend even considering this place as a last resort. Just find somewhere else to go for enjoyment/entertainment purposes. They will take your money, but the perception is that primarily, only certain people are truly welcomed, accepted, and accommodated. Please be aware of your surroundings and patronize this hole in the wall at your own risk. Then again, things may have recently changed. They may have even changed their name, be under new management, and rebranded. Who knows? Hopefully the changes are all for the betterment of all people in the Abilene community. Coming from the hustle and bustle of crowded and rude California bars, this place made me feel at home. Phil and Ryan are awesome, attentive, and treat everyone like family. Great prices, good friendly people, and awesome atmosphere. If you’re new in town, give this bar a chance!

Friendly staff and good prices. 2 pool tables available. Outside area for smoking. Free popcorn and $1 hotdogs available

Dark atmosphere, food unavailable. Drinks are of the common sorts. Friendly group of customers and employees. Feels like a safe environment.

Best wings in Texas !!!! No Lie … Annie is the best bartender, Lisa is the most prominent bar owner in Abilene Tx. These wings are Lemon pepper add spices ranch . Fries are seasoned!! Nobody can top these. Atmosphere is plus5 stars and drinks amazing! Try the string island on your lunch break..

I've never been here but it's on my bucket list! I only hear Jessie James legendary tales from folk who venture Here. Seems to me spanky ps is only the start of the night, you must be accepting of the adventure it provides after. Here is a real life account from a legendary drinker the "Chug lord" of one of accounts after I asked him "Have you accomplished any amazing Ripley's Believe It or Not feats as of recently?" This is the CHUG LORDS responce : "I pulled a 9 hr shift at spanky ps the other night and somehow lost both my contacts so I couldn't see and I was drunk, I then left but went to Taco Bell first, got home and set it in my table and forgot to eat it and just woke up in my bed the next morning. The majority of the night was a blur. I also somehow lost my hat too.

I didn’t take the best picture but the wings were awesome! Probably the best wings I’ve had in Abilene. The quesadilla and fries were also really good. Nice, laid back atmosphere with pool tables.

Everything about this place is amazing. The bartenders recognize you and remember your drink orders after just a couple of times. The atmosphere is always amazing. And, every Saturday night, they have karaoke! The best part about this bar for me personally. Is that I feel completely comfortable to be my authentic self. As part of Abilene's LGBTQ+ community, this bar has been nothing but a welcoming environment for me.
