"This casual seafood spot is directly on Hyannis Harbor, so you can get a table on the pier and watch the boats sail in and out while you snack on fried fish and sip harborside rum punch. There are always loud crowds of friends and families here, but odds are you won’t really mind—they have plenty of outdoor tables, meaning you can spread out with your own big group. My husband and I visited Hyannis for the first time and we come across this restaurant by the harbor. Nicely set up tables outside with umbrellas and comfortable indoor sitting as well with the beautiful view was definitely a plus! Very lively. Stopped here for lunch and we started with amazing Oysters + Littlenecks clam, it was so clean and fresh, Delicious ! Great selection of fresh seafood - we had * Steamers - is was so sweet and HUGE served with steamer broth to remove any sand and with melted butter to enjoy it. * Caesar lobster salad - was refreshing and tasty with generous chunks of lobster, sweet and delicious. * Fried Whole Belly Clams - cook to perfection - crunchy golden brown and gorgeous on the outside with a pleasant briny bite serve with homemade tartar sauce. * Side of blanched green beans + corn on the cob. The portions were generous and the quality of the food was outstanding. Our server by (Danni) was incredibly friendly, and the service was both efficient and welcoming. Thank you for having us and giving us an amazing experience. This place is definitely worth a visit, will be back for sure 🦪🦐🦞🥗❤️.

We stopped by this restaurant for lunch after a kind lady we met while exploring the area recommended it. We decided to give it a try, and we’re so glad we did! We ordered the lobster roll and teriyaki salmon, both of which were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. The portions were generous, especially considering the price, and the quality of the food was outstanding. Our server was incredibly friendly, and the service was both efficient and welcoming. This place is definitely worth a visit!

I can definitely say it was delicious, worth the money, and totally satisfying! The restaurant was always packed with people. During the three months I was working in Hyannis, I often walked past the restaurant while exploring the shopping district or strolling along the beach, but I never had a chance to stop by. Every time I passed, it looked lively and inviting, with a steady stream of customers coming and going. I always told myself I would try it "next time," but somehow it never happened. Finally, right before leaving town, my friends and I decided it was time to give it a try — and I’m so glad we did! Even though the restaurant was quite busy, the service was impressively quick, and we were seated without a long wait. The staff was friendly and welcoming, creating a casual, relaxed atmosphere that made the meal even more enjoyable. We ordered a variety of dishes to share, including Chilled Shrimp Cocktail, Fried Shrimp with French Fries, Oysters on the Half Shell, and Shrimp Scampi over Linguini. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The seafood tasted incredibly fresh, which is exactly what you hope for when dining near the coast. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience — delicious food, great service, and a lively atmosphere. This turned out to be the last restaurant I visited before leaving Hyannis, and it truly left a wonderful and lasting impression. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Don't miss it!

Three adults took a long driving tour of New England to see the major historic sites, take pictures and eat lots of seafood. One stop was Hyannis to look around by the waterfront. There we found Spanky’s . Nicely set up tables outside with umbrellas. Very lively. We each had the lobster room and I believe it was the best we have ever had. What a great experience.

Google
There is a choice to dine inside or outside. We chose outside with a view od the harbor, watchinf the Hyline ferries go and come. It was delightful. Food good, service decent. We will go back next time we are at the Cape!

Google
The food here is absolutely excellent! The whole belly clams were perfectly sized and super flavorful. The clam chowder was packed full of clams and had great flavor but was my least favorite out of what we ordered because everything else was so amazing. The hot lobster rolls we ordered were outstanding. You definitely won’t be disappointed by the generous amount of lobster meat. Quite honestly, it was the best lobster roll I have ever had. Additionally, the prices are incredibly reasonable given the quality and portion sizes. I would happily come back here again and again!

Google
Spanky's is a perfect place for a meal outside by the water. Service has been great for years, as well as the quality and freshness. Never had a bad experience here!

Google
Food was good. Me and my friend we very enjoyed it but the thing is we went for walk next door is souvenir shop also from spanky’s then we go back to the restaurant just ask for use restroom but the hostess girl told me to use public restroom lol so I tell her we was here earlier but she told me to use the public rest room near by parking lot so I don’t think that I will come back. yes definitely we won’t come back!!

Yelp
This place must be a local gem where price and quality matches; service was great too. The fresh oysters and the whole baked lobster is a must try! We'll comeback when they reopen next summer. PS: the outside patio is dog friendly ..our server even provided our pup with a bowl of water, woof woof.

Pam K.

Yelp
This is the real deal for seafood shack dining! Matt the bartender is a really fun guy and makes you feel like a returning customer, even on your first visit! Hubby and I shared chicken tenders, fried calamari and coconut shrimp, all with accompanying sauces. Ok, so not the healthiest food to eat, but throw caution to the wind when on vacation! We did and had a great time!

Alan C.

Yelp
Prompt service and restaurant is right next to the harbor to watch boats. Food was good.

Colleen L.

Yelp
I got the lobster roll! You definitely get a lot of lobster especially for the price. I do wish the roll was a bit bigger but overall a good experience.

Frank H.

Yelp
Fresh lobster is always wicked , ours was a little under cooked but with lemon we fixed that. Great place, great food

Ebony M.

Yelp
Highly recommend Spanky's Clam Shack when your in the mood for amazing seafood! Thank you Gina, and Libby for excellent service despite the kitchen closing early. The hospitality, food, portion size were all phenomenal. The lobster roll is the best, I have ever had on the Cape. The fries were hot, fresh, and crispy. The atmosphere of the restaurant and bar area are lovely. Definitely a must visit when visiting Hyannis.

Tad V.

Yelp
This is our 2nd visit to Spankys and it did not disappoint. We ordered the Seafood stew and a couple orders of the seafood combo platter which we shared. The cod and shrimp were very good and only one of us liked the clam belly's. The shrimp were so good that I think I will just order that next time. We finished dinner off with the chocolate cake which was delicious!

Alma C.

Yelp
No complaints! Great fish, nice white meat, and good hot fries. Good oysters and fried clams.

Alisa W.

Yelp
Seafood restaurant right on the harbor. A bit pricey because of the location but nice spot for seafood. Service was exceptional & so friendly. Despite how busy it was the food came out quickly.

Jennifer K.

Yelp
Amazing!! We visited the area for the day and were looking for authentic Cape Cod seafood... this did not disappoint. The place was clean and a cool "on the water" vibe. The servers were friendly and attentive. It was clean and efficient despite how busy it was. Our drinks were full, our food was hot and our waitress was very friendly and kind. My husband got the fried clams. They were tender, not chewy, and very flavorful. I got the mixed plate with grilled shrimp, scallops and fish. Amazing flavor in a butter, wine sauce. Will definitely come back when we visit next summer.

Aleece P.

Yelp
Get the seafood chowder! It is loaded with seafood. My first time here at spanky's and I would go back just for the chowder. Cute restaurant I didn't go inside but the outdoor seating is nice. The service was quick. Would definitely recommend.

Len S.

Yelp
Great seafood restaurant on the pie. Lots of great seating on the deck. Service was excellent great attentive servers. Food needed help. The bang bang shrimp were good they needed more of the hot sauce. The blackened cod was good very spicy and good perfect. The seafood stew was warm to cool and lacked seasoning. We had to hat hot sauce plus salt and pepper to help it. That did not help the overcooking of the seafood. Nice looking restaurant. Dog friendly with a nice view. Not my favorite on this trip.

Michelle M.

Yelp
Overall I had a good experience at Spanky's. Service was good, restaurant was cute inside and there were good views of the water. The food was very tasty. My lobster roll was overflowing with lobster and the seafood stew was one of the best seafood soups I've ever had. (I didn't like the coleslaw...at all...) That being said, it's very pricey. We came for lunch and paid more than what we usually pay for a dinner anywhere else. My wallet was crying a little bit. Most of their entrees are above $35 and the cups of soups alone are like $10 each. Ouch. It is right on the water and near the ferries so I guess you're paying partly for the view. Although the food was honestly really good, would I go back for the prices? Probably not to be quite frank. If this was a fancy fancy restaurant I could see the prices being this, but it appeared to be a casual eatery?? The other thing that was challenging was the parking situation. They have a parking lot that probably holds 10ish cars? So if you can't find a spot you'd have to park in a nearby lot and pay. The lot next door had a sign "Restaurant Parking $10". Yikes. Luckily we somehow found a spot and didn't have to pay the extra money. TLDR: Food is tasty. Order the Seafood Stew. Prices are very expensive. Parking is VERY limited.

Melody N.

Yelp
Right by the water with generous portions for seafood. The amount of lobster meat was spilling out of the buttered hot dog bun. We also enjoyed the lobster bisque. The baked sole was buttery and rich, the lemon juice helped cut through the richness. We had a large party(8) but didn't have to wait too long for a seat(about 20 mins). On a nice day you're able to stroll through the nearby artist shanties/ park area. We did go on a weekday so likely not as busy compared to the weekend. It seemed like a solid choice and fairly swift service.

Yelp
Nestled in the heart of Cape Cod, Spanky's Clam Shack exudes a charming atmosphere that instantly transports you to a bygone era. The restaurant is covered with coastal decor and filled with older folks, who looked like they knew where to find the best seafood in town. Located just a stone's throw away from the beach, it's the perfect spot for seafood while enjoying the salty breeze. For appetizers, we couldn't resist ordering both the clam chowder and lobster bisque. The lobster bisque stole the show with its robust flavor and velvety texture. It was so rich and nice chunks of lobster. In fact, it outshone any bisque I had ever tasted in Boston. The bisque is a 5 out of 5. On the other hand, the clam chowder, while delicious, didn't quite surpass the chowders I had savored in the Greater Boston Area. Still, it was a comforting bowl of creamy goodness - a solid 4 out of 5. The generous portion sizes of both dishes offered excellent value for money, ensuring we left feeling full. For the main course, I opted for the clam strips. With each bite, I could taste the freshness of the clams. Squeezing a lemon wedge on top added a zesty kick that elevated the flavors. However, I couldn't help but regret not ordering the whole belly fried clams. It's probably tastes meatier, which is what I was looking forward to. Next time I'm back I'll try it out and see if my expectations hold true. The clam strips lacked a distinct flavor profile and reminded me more of calamari. 4 out of 5. We couldn't resist indulging in a classic Cape Cod delicacy, the lobster roll. Bursting with freshness and brimming with flavor, the lobster roll satisfied our cravings. It offered a more affordable alternative to the ones found in the city, making it a delightful treat. Though, I couldn't help but yearn for a salty, buttery sauce drenched over every inch of the roll, bringing it to new heights and flavors. The lobster roll gets a 4 out of 5. Our waitress added an extra touch of warmth to our dining experience. Her friendly demeanor and welcoming nature made us feel right at home, as if we were dining with old friends. Spanky's service and cute coastal decor push my rating to a 5 out of 5. Spanky's Clam Shack is a delightful seafood spot that captures the essence of Cape Cod. Its quaint atmosphere, along with the fresh and satisfying dishes, make it a must-visit for any seafood enthusiast. I look forward to trying the whole belly fried clams when I'm back!

Yelp
Go here for amazing food, great fast service at excellent prices. We were seated immediately and Beatriz was happy, friendly, helpful with suggestions. Our food came very fast and we had to let the fish and fries cool for a minute because it was hot (Yay!). As you can see from the pictures, the portions were generous and cooked perfectly. The cod was nice and flaky and the chunks of lobster were wonderful. The roll was nicely toasted and the fries were hot and excellent. The slaw was fresh and very good. My wife substituted a rice pilaf for fries and thought it was good. I had lobster rolls almost everyday on my vacation and Spanky's was the best. Note: Spanky's has almost no parking so park in the ferry lot adjacent to the restaurant. It is only $2 / hour. So go there and enjoy a great experience.

Justin D.

Yelp
Wife and I had lobster rolls and a fried clam app. Waitress was great Have dined 3 times and have never been disappointed.

Mary H.

Yelp
Our service was fantastic! A young man, sorry that I forgot his name, was a local & very helpful with questions about the menu and the community. Our party of 8 had a wonderful experience! All of our meals, fabulous! Clam chowder is very good and they even provided gluten free options for one person in our party. We did get the feeling that we were lingering too long after our lunch, as many of us commented on the negative glares from management, causing us to think they wanted us to leave. Although, there were many empty tables, as the lunch crowd was thinning.

Yvonne P.

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch on a rainy fall afternoon. Very pleased to be seated at a four top by a window. Great view of the harbor. Parking worked for us - we may have gotten lucky. We ordered the lobster mac and cheese, the steamed lobster meal, and a couple of fun cocktails. All delicious. Friendly, fast service with a sense of humor. Loved it! Clean bathrooms too!

Megana V.

Yelp
Spankys lives up to the hype!! Delicious, fresh, light seafood with large portions!! The lobster roll is so worth it! They gave us so much lobster, it was incredibly fresh, and it was just buttery enough without being too heavy. The clam chowder was honestly one of the best I've ever had, super creamy, thick, full of clams, and hearty!! We also got a seafood combo, wish it had more shrimp but the cod and scallops were good!! Highly rec, and they have a cute merch store!!!

Lynn W.

Yelp
There's a reason why they call this the Clam Shack..Their steamers and fried belly clams were meaty and delicious! We also ordered the seafood bouillabaisse and seafood stew and we were quite satisfied. I certainly got my seafood fix in. The host was amazing and the staff always cleared empty dishes and plates. I'm definitely coming back here again to try some of their other yummy dishes.

Charles S.

Yelp
Great spot On the water.. local hangout.. friendly staff and regulars.. fresh seafood and quality food.

John C.

Yelp
JC from Westchester, as we do every year for past 16 years we vacation on the cape, and one of the spots we eat at is "Spankys Clam shack" in Hyannis We went last night and it was wonderful There were seven of us and our Server Dannie was wonderful, the food was really great, the blackened cod was awesome and the lobster dinner was also great, the whole family had a great time , thank you

Veronica S.

Yelp
Wowowow - AMAZING. Our group was visiting from out of town and craving lobster rolls but we were overly impressed by their other menu items as well. After parking in the lot next door, we were seated inside with views of the harbor. Service was quick and attentive as well as impressive. We truly enjoyed our time dining here. We ordered a small raw bar combo, clam chowder, lobster rolls, lobster ravioli, and broiled scallops with a side of veggies. The lobster servings in the rolls and ravioli were generous and definitely worth your money. Everything was extremely well seasoned and well balanced. The food was so good we ended up ordering more to go as dinner (which was also delicious!)

Elisa F.

Yelp
Awesome spot by the water! We were looking for a nice dog friendly spot on the water where we could get a lobster roll and up popped Spanky's! Paid parking is nearby if needed. They were packed but had plenty of seating and we were seated quickly. Ordered 2 lobster rolls and some drinks and our food came out so fast! Very impressive. The lobster roll hit the spot but definitely not the best I've on the Cape. Love that it came with fries and coleslaw.

Matt K.

Yelp
I was spanked by the most amazing food! Seriously. The food and the service were the best we have experienced on the Cape. The lobster roll was plentiful and the seafood stew was divine! Our waitress was wonderful and so friendly! We can't stop talking about our food and experience!

Charles R.

Yelp
We went 2x on this trip and loved it both times. Always busy here, I would recommend it early or later. The seafood soup is absolutely delicious and got it both times. Also, split may other dishes, clam straps were good, and the fish and chips. This is an indoor outdoor place and was very hot this past weekend, so we opted in the air, which was nice.

Shayna P.

Yelp
As a foodie, I love eating the best! If you are on the cape, be sure to check this gem out! I've been coming here since I was 9. I've been eating here for over 10 years! Be sure to check this place out!

Carolyn K.

Yelp
The seafood is off the hook fresh! The menu has something for everyone. We had the seafood chowder and licked the bowl clean. The staff is friendly and welcoming. We would make the trip to just eat here.

Simply L.

Yelp
Our large group of usually 18 eat here as part of our fishing trip experience. They are always very accommodating which is important since we are a large group. The staff is always very friendly and the food is always fresh and delicious. I know they advertise their clam chowder, but my favorite is their seafood stew. It's amazing!!! It's super convenient and right off the docks. I highly recommend.

Catherine N.

Yelp
These portions are GENEROUS. Under that mound of lobster was hidden a toasted split top roll, making Spanky's the most bang for buck out of all lobster rolls we tried in MA. The lobster was not only plentiful, but fresh and well dressed in Mayo. The friend sampler was decent. The clams were not as crispy - more soggy likely from the moist clam bellies. But, all the seafood was fall-apart tender and super sweet. My favorite was the scallops, which were almost marshmallow-like from how sweet and bouncy they were. Pro-tip: I subbed fries for the baked potato, which was delicious with generous amounts of sour cream and butter. The prices look expensive at face value but the portion sizes are HUGE and cram packed with fresh seafood. It's a must-do experience in Cape Cod!

Kim S.

Yelp
We stopped by for lunch (late in May), before the summer rush. The clam chowder was the best I've ever eaten, such wonderful flavor. The fried shrimp was delish, and hubby had a delicious lobster ravioli. We still had room for key lime pie and lemon cake, both were heavenly! Our server was polite and helpful!

Sandy D.

Yelp
The vibes! I never felt such laidback and calm vibes than I did in this restaurant. You can outdoor dine or head over to their takeout area, which we did. The server was super sweet, and recommended her fave dish to us. Or you can just trust in their menu because another worker assured everything we order would be tasty. The Steamed Mussels ($17.99), as recommended by the worker, was so yum! She said the broth tasted so good with bread, but where the bread at honey? Nonetheless, she was right about the delicious broth! I was hooked and definitely ate more than the rest of my party for this one. The Lobster Roll ($32.99) was different. The toast was not wrapped around the lobster, but instead, at the bottom. The lobster meat was soo good! Juicy, vibrant, sweet pieces. Highly recommend. Spanky's Clambake ($47.99), our stud, was missing one part of the set, so we only had the whole Lobster at first. The lobster was a hard pass, as it did not taste as fresh as the lobster roll. We probably had a bad one, as it also had black goo in it. The corn was also NOT GOOD! When we came back around for the second part of the Clambake, the steamers were more like it! I never had these oval soft-shell clams before, but true to a friendly patron's word, they were sooo sweet! Peel them out of their shell, clean dip them in the provided water, add a little of that melted butter, and taste that sweet ocean! This simple goodness became a new favorite for me. This is the place to go if you want to be one with seafood. It's pricey, but a must-visit at Cape Cod for sure!

Glenn R.

Yelp
Had a marvelous lunch there. We got clam chowder and lobster rolls. The clam chowder was really delicious. Very thick and tasty with lots of clams. It was not quite hot enough though. The lobster roll was made with mayo and although we generally prefer it with buttered lobster, it was excellent. Huge portions were so big, we both took some home with us. The French Fries were hot and crispy. Although they were frozen fries, they were done just perfectly. The Cole Slaw was a little bit bland however. Service was excellent and we'd go back there again in a second.

Christopher W.

Yelp
Good food. I ordered the Spanky's Fried Seafood Combo. It was a massive plate which I had leftovers from that I brought home. The dish had fried clams, fried scallops, fried shrimp, and fried cod. My friend got the lobster roll and fish and chips. The chocolate martini was good, and the bitterness overpowered the sweet chocolate. The place is also very busy and popular so the wait times were long. The wait time to be seated was about 45 mins, and getting served was also around the same amount of time. We went on a Saturday night during Labor Day weekend, so this probably explains it.

Jeannine N.

Yelp
Yummy yummy yummy. While visiting Hyannis, I was so happy to have lunch at this wonderful vacation spot that was recommended by a local. We ate outside with views of the harbor, had yummy drinks, and enjoyed delicious food. It's like everything that we had tasted like Cape Cod should taste. Everything was delicious from start to finish. The waiter was absolutely wonderful and was so courteous, even though we stayed longer than we should have. Sorry and thank you for that. The boom boom shrimp and shrimp cocktail were perfectly cooked and tasty. The seafood combination dish was tasty and lightly breaded which was great, not over-bearing. The scallops were a large portion, large in size, and tasty. I appreciate the requested menu modification on this dish... A true sign of a reputable restaurant...the ability to modify dishes according to request. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back when in Cape Cod... Enjoy! ~Nini :)

Madison C.

Yelp
Some of the best seafood I've ever had. Lobster salad over garden salad, fried scallops, fish and chips -- all excellent. Just go!

Jeff L.

Yelp
The food here was average and overpriced. Atmosphere was ok, floors weee dirty. The service was lackluster, possible because we did not buy drinks as we do not drink. Chicken was cooked nicely, the corn was good. The lobster was amazing from what I was told. A little overpriced, but expected considering the location.

Chris M.

Yelp
I was waiting for my ferry so I hit Spanky's. I sat at the counter and had the fri d clams. They were good but how can you screw up clams. The ambiance was what you would find in a diner. If I needed a quick bite I would go there again.

S C.

Yelp
The service was terrible and the food finally arrived 35min after I hunted down our server-who went on break but didn't bother checking on us or that our food sat and waited for her to return. The oysters were good, burger was cold, and lobster Mac & cheese was overcooked and rubbery. We had a view but also unfortunately had an earful of the staff gossip at the end of the bar. Parking is good.

Kathy K.

Yelp
We had a very tasty seafood meal for 4 following a comedy show at cape cod melody tent. I had a broiled seafood medley, others had fried medley. Food came out hot, was tasty. Tables were so tight we had to get up to let a wheelchair by: The place was packed and they do not take reservations, but our wait was very short and Service was attentive, food delivery fast. Their lot was full so we had to pay $20 to park in one of the ferry lots. Would definitely go back and perhaps sit outside next time.

Greg W.

Yelp
At first glance, Spanky's has two things going against it: 1 - A quirky and strange name that oozes innuendo 2 - It sits just off the Hy-Line ferry and screams tourist trap However, if you choose to ignore both of those worries or potential downfalls you'll find a gem that is there in plain sight. The menu is quite varied and offers everything from the plates and sides of fried everything to the more nuanced and delicate dishes like the lobster roll, so there is something for everyone. The difference between Spanky's and the other seafood shacks and saloons we've been to in the area comes down to the care put into the dishes. The fried seafood will not soak a takeout bag in fryer oil or grease. Even though it's fried, it is done so in a way that preserves the taste and texture of the food and doesn't leave your mouth with an oil slick feeling that would put BP to shame. The lobster roll contained more meat than rolls of similar pricing and the quality was near the top of the list both in terms quality and not hiding it beneath tons of dressing and additives. I will say, personally I am not a fan of adding celery to the lobster... but it didn't ruin the experience for me either as it was not overpowering or like chewing on a handful of gravel (I hate the crunch in my rolls). The dining room and outdoor areas are clean and have tons of space. That was one of the other things that had me lower my expectations when we walked in. To service that number of guests usually lowers the quality of food, but the pump out orders and manage to keep the quality higher than most of the competition in the cape in that same price point. The service was great, the food came out fast, and relatively speaking the price was as expected for the dishes and quality we received. While I will admit that I had reservations about dining there initially, I am pleasantly surprised to say that my assessment was wrong. Spanky's offers a fantastic variety of food at a superb location with great views at a reasonable price. Don't be swayed by the myriad of potential downfalls or reasons to avoid like me... if you do so you'll probably end up somewhere that offers a lesser meal for probably more money. It will definitely stay on my list of places to visit before or after we take the ferry or are in the area. There's a lot of good things still to try on the menu and we tend to be in the area a few times a year. Highly recommend for seafood, no matter what style or mood you are in.

Wendy B.

Yelp
The roll was delicious and had a good amount of lobster meat for the price. The ambience is fun and friendly. This is a good stop after spending time walking around the harbor area and very casual with outdoor seating.

Reshma K.

Yelp
Albeit pricey, Spanky's Clam Shack totally rocks!!! We went into a seafood coma after our meal here and it utterly delicious. We got calamari, it was amazingly good. The bang bang shrimp was so perfectly cooked, it just melted in our mouths, a must-have if you like shrimp. For our mains, we got lobster roll, shrimp roll, Caesar salad with swordfish tips, and fish and chips. Each meal came with fries and coleslaw. The portion sizes are definitely larger. Slightly disappointed with our fried shrimp roll - they used jumbo shrimps with tail on the roll making it difficult to eat. Fish (in the fish and chips) lacked seasoning. Lobster roll was great and so were the grilled swordfish tips and the Caesar salad. Service was top-notch. Our server was attentive, friendly. Highly recommend going to Spanky's if you are at the cape!

Yelp
Straightforward, delicious food. My scallops were nothing fancy, but they were tasty, fresh, and plentiful, served with a pile of buttery green beans. Outstanding service that was patient and friendly with our large group. Energetic place with a great vibe & location, despite the kind of ridiculous name.

Yelp
Best items were the clam chowder and lobster bisque; both were the best in our visit to cape cod and its cities/towns so far! Will update if we find a better one. We ordered takeout so there is some leeway as far as freshness of the food and how well it keeps on the ride home (we were 5 mins away). CLAM CHOWDA Salty, seafoody, creamy, and bold in flavor with bits of diced potato and clam throughout. A little watery texture-wise where we prefer a thicker chowder, BUT the flavor is concentrated and not lacking. LOBSTER BISQUE Satisfyingly rich, without being heavy - also on the runnier side but with the real bits of lobster, the essence of a nice white wine, and salty/savoriness abound, you will be going for spoon after spoon. LOBSTER RAVIOLI Tender al dente ravioli with minced lobster inside and claw meat dispersed throughout the dish as lumps. Tasty, and pretty standard for what you expect when you hear lobster ravioli FRIED FISH SANDWICH The fish was very tender and the cole slaw added a nice crunch; the bun was a bit soggy when we got it and so it made it hard to eat structurally; had to go at it with a knife and fork since it kept falling apart in our hands. The fish itself has a mild fish flavor; not super strong. ONION RINGS Large pieces of onion but they are limp and almost half the coating falls off, so we had to fold it into itself and eat it like that. Not the best onion rings tbh All in all, I enjoyed the food; would come back just for the soups really.

Yelp
Every time I've eaten at Spanky's it has been delicious. I look forward to coming back to the Cape again next year to enjoy more of their seafood. At this latest visit the staff went out of their way to ensure we had a great dinner, they were great. I highly recommend.

Yelp
So I ordered the lobster roll here. I wasn't a fan. I should have went to Raw Bar they never skimp or fail. The lobster roll was skimpy and the roll was not even buttered or toasted. They put shedded lettuce and random pickles on the plate. Who eats pickles on their lobster roll? barf! For $34.99 it should at least came with a fresh roll. It literally fell apart trying to eat it. Fries were meh. My girlfriend got the fish n chips. I definitely recommend the fish n chips here big pieces of fish worth the $25.99. The fish n chips is the only reason this place got 2 stars. Thumbs down on the lobster roll here. If your looking for a lobster roll worth your money. Definitely try (RAW BAR )they never fail or skimp on the lobster. Spanky's definitely robbed me on my lobster roll.

Yelp
Recommend!! We spent the day at Martha's Vineyard and having dinner here was the perfect ending to the day. The restaurant is in a prime location by the harbor where the ferry disembarks. You can watch the boats come in and out during the day or just enjoy the sea breeze at night dining outside The service was great - friendly and very efficient. Food was delicious and portions generous. We had shrimp cocktail (fresh and large shrimp), fried oyster (a mountain of plump fried oysters and not at all greasy), scallops, tuna and a kid's meal hotdog Making a note to come back on next trip!

Yelp
Good late night option. We ate outside which was real weird. They have these umbrellas that must be crucial for the daytime, but at night they block the only light from above- a couple of streetlights. So we essentially ate in the dark. Wait staff agreed, but management, what you gonna do? Fried combo was a whole lot of fried. I can't imagine one human eating all this. If you are that human, cut back will you? Drinks good, service good, other patrons were good and the wait at almost 9pm wasn't bad. This is a busy spot so be prepared to wait but there is a bar inside where you can cook off.
