Had a good experience here. The menu had a good variety. My friend and I ordered a harvest salad and the Joey burger. Both were really good. Burger was cooked exactly how we like it. I do with the bacon on the burger was cooked a bit more, and I really liked the bun. Seasoned fries came with the burger and were good, just wish they had been fried a bit more. The salad was fresh and exactly what you’d expect from the description, the chicken was a bit dry. Out waitress was friendly and helpful. She knew my friend and I were sharing both items and brought us our food already split on to two different plates. It was a really nice touch.

The service was excellent. The arugula and beet salad was tasty, although the greens weren't fresh, and instead limp, curled up. The lobster roll was drenched in mayo, and the meat itself lacked any good taste. I returned it, and our server was extremely accommodating to remove from my bill. The restaurant was clean and nice atmosphere.

A friend and I were there for lunch the other day! The service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive, and made sure we were taken care of (even though we were so busy chit chatting). We both got the Crispy Salmon Rice bowl. It was fantastic! Really love the atmosphere. Music was not to loud and just an all around great experience.

Wasn't a fan! Service was slow, but she was nice. Had the turkey burger. The atmosphere was urban chic, except the booth they put me in the seat was all ripped. I'm not sure if I'll give it another try. Jury's still out

Sparkies! Fantastic Nachos and Oreo Cheesecake I recently visited Sparkies! and had a delightful experience. The cozy, inviting atmosphere immediately made me feel at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, enhancing the overall experience. We ordered the nachos and an Oreo cheesecake, and both were outstanding. The nachos were generously topped with gooey cheese and sour cream. While they typically come with jalapeños, I don't recall them on these.… but the nachos were delicious without them. For dessert, the Oreo cheesecake was the star of the meal. It was creamy, smooth, and had chunks of Oreos throughout, with a delightful Oreo crust. It was the perfect amount of sweetness and a great way to end our meal. Overall, our visit to Sparkies! was wonderful. The food was excellent, the portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. I highly recommend Sparkies! if you're looking for a great place to enjoy delicious nachos and a fantastic Oreo cheesecake.

Absolutely phenomenal service. The staff was great. Made recommendations that did not disappoint. To start, the wings were perfectly crispy and juicy. The brussel sprouts were the best I have had anywhere. A definite must-have when you are here. My wife had a tuna salad sandwich with a gluten-free bun. This was the test. The bun was great. It tasted good and did not fall apart as soon as you touched it like so many do. My son and I both had burgers. Cook perfectly. Fries were crispy. Almost everything on the menu had a gluten-free option. I highly recommend coming here. You will not be disappointed.

Host didn’t even say hi or greet us just stood there with no expression, we asked for a booth to sit down, she proceeded to tell us that the booths were closed, so we said okay, we sat at a table, then the host brought another couple of two just like us in and took them straight to a booth, so we asked our server if we could move to a booth because I was in a car accident last year and the chairs were not comfortable on my back and she said yes it’s no problem, they burnt my girls steak so much that it tasted horrible I even tried a piece, they made up an excuse by saying the cook just over seasoned it, I think we can tell the difference between burned meat and over seasoned meat.. they offered to try to make something else for my girl but she didn’t want any more of there food at that point because she had that burnt taste from the steak stuck in her mouth, the manager offered us a free cheese cake….so we said yeah okay we will take a plain one, the dude brings us a pistachio cheese cake and says this is all we have basically, so why did you say yes you can have a plain one and then proceed to bring us something different after already messing up on the steak, We will not be returning to this restaurant. Y’all don’t got nothing on the highland house. Period. Just go next door guys. They can actually make a steak right!

Fantastic experience! This was our second time here. Everything was exceptional. Great tap and cocktail list. The spicy shrimp tacos were delicious! My husbands burger was great and cooked perfectly. His parm fries were mouth watering. My daughters Alfredo was so good that I couldn't stop stealing bites. Kids meals are the best I've found for the price with large portion of pasta, drink, side, and ice cream cup for dessert. Our waitress Tiffany was wonderful! Super friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend Sparkies! Will be back soon.

Food was good! Bought a Jerk Turkey and Hero Club. Both had the right balance of meat with vegetables and flavor. Jerk Turkey was very good and flavor was the right amount of heat and mix spices. Great ambience and service was on top of refills, dipping sauces, etc. highly recommend.

Definite improvements!! In the past I've had some negative experiences at Sparkies (undercooked burger, overcooked steak) but in the last year or so we gave it another try and so far all our recent experiences have been good! So I'm back to recommending Sparkies again. Last night the three of us ordered the mozzarella wedges, and three entrees. All were very good. I had the ahi tuna bowl and it was good -- spicy and flavorful. My wife had the quesadilla with chicken and mango and it was good, and my daughter had the chicken parm sandwich which had a pesto on top of it. All in all, a good experience.

Phew. Beware establishments were the proprietorship is listed on the door, but the kitchen manager has been hastily scraped off. I ordered a sirloin steak and Bleu salad, expecting a nice manly meat slab on a bed of mixed greens. What showed up was 3 oz of raw steak and meteors of gorgonzola on a bed of curly endive so thick you'd swear it was a field in Gilroy. I table tossed it and tried a bite. I expected the tasty meats and Bleu dressing. What it came off as was an uncut choad that's so small that the ball hair coarse endive growing up the sides gags you- and as a bonus, the head comes back and you get the schmegma like blue cheese concoction as a parting gift. Mixed greens means a lot of things. This wad of late season stalky endive is not it. I've never looked at a companions arugula and beets and said to myself: I'm jealous. To wash this travesty down with, they brought me an alleged blue sapphire and tonic: which was actually some sort of gin with flat sprite. Zero bubbles, and sweet. Not for nothing, asked for a slab of ribs to go as I was starving, and got informed they were out of French fries. Not that I eat French fries, but what sort of Sysco centric kitchen runs out of fries? Please hire a food and beverage manager, or your restaurant is gonna die. The manager in congeniality comped a whopping $5. Used to be a decent place. Now it's just a glittery shithole.

Everything was wrong from the get go. We sat at the bar, one of the servers had her drink sitting on the bar as they now have moved the computer order station from behind the bar to on the bar. Then a drink was spilled on my companion as the server threw the dirty dishes into the container that was continently placed under his bar stool. My black and blue was no where near the quality it used to be. They used a slice of blue cheese instead of fresh blue cheese crumbles and the fries were cold. By the time they brought new fries we were done with our meal. It was a total shit show. The bar tender was very unprofessional. It was not a good experience and it will be along time before we return there to eat if we ever return there to eat again.

Had what was quite possibly the best ribs and fries I've ever had today. The fries were super crispy and tasty and the ribs were fall off the bone tender. I had them with honey molasses barbecue sauce which was sweet and a bit spicy. My husband had the jambalaya and thought it was delicious as well. Our server was fast and friendly. There were a lot of people in the restaurant for an early dinner so it was a bit loud, but not too loud for conversations.

$10 lunch special for a cheeseburger with fries and a pop is an insane deal. Make sure you sign up for rewards program!!! The service is always on point!!

Service was great! Had the ribs, which were good. Pot roast was a hit at the table! Good Happy Hour as well.

Been there for lunch several times. Food is really good. The lunch specials are only $10 and includes 1/2 sandwich, a large cup of soup, a small salad and pop. Worth every penny. Service and ambience shares the 5 star rating.

I would give this place about a 3.5. I liked the vibe and decor, it had an updated bar feel. This place seems like it has been here for awhile, so I am not sure if it was modernized, but I do like the look. It seems pretty popular and they do not take reservations so on a weekend if you do not get here early there will be a wait. The drinks were good, we had an expensive tropical drink and a breakfast stout. There must have been a special on the beer because it was very reasonable. We got the Bangkok chicken sandwich which was very crispy and delicious. The spicy slaw though tasted like it was just made with store bought spicy mayo but that was not the main feature of it and was on the side anyway. The appetizer sampler was good but I feel like they could have made more than one Reuben egg roll. It was really delicious but when you order the egg roll alone, it looks like they only give you two, so for the price, I could have used more of either the chicken, egg roll, or the cheese sticks. But still pretty good. The steak pasta was meh, nothing to write home about or order again. The steak was good, but the pasta was not that saucy and the sauce did not taste like a parm cream sauce. The mushrooms, gargonzola, and asparagus were good. They were put on the side and I used them on the potatoes on the app. The French onion dip was small, cold, and the soup was cold. The meat was not that tender either. We also got a cheesecake slice to go. It was well baked, creamy moist cheese cake and good crust. The service was wonderful. The staff was attentive. Not only did the server check in several times, a person I believe to be the manager also worked the room to make sure customers were taken care of and having a good time. So overall, it was a good experience. But now that we have visited this place and Stella's Table, we would probably be more regulars at Stella's since that menu more suited our palate. But the happy hour here does sound pretty good.

I received an email on 5/2/24 from Suser restaurant group stating that due to my loyalty I was to enjoy $20 off to use at Stella's Table or Sparkies. When we went to the restaurant we were told that the computer company sent those out and they were not accepting them. I wrote to the company and never even got a response. In my opinion, they should honor it since there were no signs saying they were not accepting. Also the waitress said they were going to send a retraction but we never got!!! We were a loyal Sparkies customer and they just lost a good customer

I have eaten at Sparkies frequently, never had a bad meal, the burgers are great and huge. No complaints from me

We went for their St. Patties say menu. It was damn delicious! We had a huge party so we tried their whole St.Pats menu and nothing disappointed. We can't wait to go back next year on St. Patties Day.

Great food, fast service, overall excellent experience. Nice environment. Could be bigger.

We love the Makers Mark Salmon. Sadden with the fish & chips this last time. Fish was really mushy. Batter was crisp. I didn't want French fries & was able to swap out for a salad that was very tasty. The place is always cold for me & I catch myself putting my coat back on during my sitting. Wait staff is great. The hostess group truly needs to be better trained. First tried to seat us up front. The place is cold enough & I am surely not going to be seated near where the door is opened a lot. They next tried to seat us near the kitchen. No way!!!!!! I finally point out a table suited to my liking in the middle. The Goldie Locks effect I guess. I watched the next five groups ask the gal to be relocated from where she wanted to seat the group. When you are that wrong, maybe start out asking where the customer would like to be seated. Seriously weak in this area folks.

Very good service and tasty food. I had the lunch burger special and it was excellent. Our waitstaff was great! The lunch soup, sandwich and salad special is a real bargain! Generous portion too. I will be back.

Bad service, no meat on the Mac and cheese brisket. Not a good restaurant. The drinks are fairly priced

So the food was ridiculously good but our service three times in a row at the bar was not so much From being straight up ignored to just forgotten about for long intervals it's hard to say it was that it was anything near great I love the food so I'm sad that the experiences have swayed my husbands opinion on going back for anything other than carry out Also figured I mention that we still do too minimum 30% everywhere we go so I know it can't be that we are giving bad tips (both worked in food industry for 10+ years combined so we understand)

Great spot to hang with a group for a casual dinner. We were out of town visiting family and the four of us stopped by on Sunday night for dinner. We had to wait about 30 mins for a table - there was spots open but heard someone say they didn't have enough staff to cover all the tables. Not a big deal as the bar was spacious enough for us to grab a drink. They had some rotating taps with an decent selection of brews. My bride went with the chicken quesadillas ($11) and really liked them and said the flavors and portion was excellent. I went with the Beale Street Chicken ($17). It was tasty and included two full breasts of chicken - plenty to take home. The other couple with us both had burgers. One ordered the Ghostly Inferno ($12) and liked the burger - and really liked the fries. The other ordered the Deep South ($11) and also liked it and commented on how good her sweet potato fries were as well. Service from Heather was great. We would definitely come back again.

Dinner was not bad. I had two bowls of the French onion soup (I had asked for garlic bread to be served at the same time, but it wasn't...). And my wife had the happy hour sliders, which she said were good. Brioche bun, onion strings and a nice beef patty. Waited 14 minutes for the bill; that was the only reason why they lost a star.

It was an absolutely delightful surprise. Food was amazing. Staff pleasant. Environment almost an escape. You sort of lost the fact that you were in Highland. Both my husband and I had a great evening out. Highly recommended.

Love the food. Carry out service is always phenomenal. Dinning in has always been good experiences too. Friendly staff!

Food is mediocre and over priced. The service is okay depending on who you get. Cute ambiance very low key, perfect for a first date or business meeting.

Love the jambalaya! The atmosphere is great as well and the service is top notch. We have been coming here for years with my folks. Drinks are strong, which we like!

Food was amazing. I had the beat salad and my husband had the potato scraps. So good!! Leslie the bartender was friendly and helpful. Happy hour deals are great. Decor is really nice. The place makes you feel at home.

I hate saying anything. This is my local place. I enjoy going there MOST of the time. but there is definitely an A and B cooking staff. We went there Tuesday night for dinner. I asked for a medium Swiss burger. It was bloody and cold. My wife got fish and chips. She didn't tell me until we got home that the fish was terrible. Dried out, and over cooked. My cup of chili was room temperature. The fries were excellent but that's really about it. I don't think I'm going back there during the week anymore. Everybody there is very polite and very friendly, but it doesn't always help the mediocre food. (PS I have gone there before and everything was excellent)

My fiancé and I dined here last week. Our server was polite, but my drink slipped out of her hand and all over my pants. Accidents happen, I get it. I was very considerate and polite with her about it, as I could see her embarrassment. However, I feel she let her embarrassment take concern over serving us. She pretty much only came to the table to take our order and serve us. My fiancé asked if I could receive some kind of compensation for the mishap, and she said she could take the drink off of our bill. She only suggested this after he asked. The manager was also around in the dining room but never came over to apologize or ask if there was anything she could do. So, I sat in soaked jeans, drank my compensated average cocktail, and ate a significantly overpriced (in my opinion) sandwich and French fries.

WAY good! Saturday evening dinner. 20 minute wait. Great waitress. Solid menu. Went with a tuna entree and a seasonal salad with fried chicken. Both were amazing. Definitely a regular staple go to!

A great local option when visiting our Lakehouse! They have a fantastic happy hour if you are out here during the week!

Awful service tonight. Had our order taken and waitress never came back again. Never got our drinks but got charged for then. We even had to find someone to cash us out. Awful look, Sparkies

LeRoy: I had a philly steak and cheese that was out of sight. It was very well prepared on an excellent bun and it was over 12 inches long. I couldn't eat it all! The atmosphere was very pleasant and as long as we stayed our waitress Shirley was extremely good. Katie: The Bug Tex Burger was big and delicious. The bacon was more like thick ham but the best kind of thick ham you could ever expect. We also got a free birthday dessert for my compadre. Shirley was our waitress and she was really good. Caitlin: My burger was cooked to perfection, the waffle fries were HOT and crispy, and the staff was incredibly friendly and inviting. The birthday sundae was also delicious and made me feel very special! I will definitely be back!

Food, cocktails and service was great! We will definitely be back soon! The only suggestion is that the soup could have been hotter.

I really love this place. Staff is always friendly and I am a sucker for their small plates. The Mac and cheese is really good! Carry out is sometimes hit or miss but ever since they put in the carry out area I feel like it has gotten a lot better! We have been coming here for a long time and it makes for a great date night.

I love the black & blue burger, my husband loved the crab cakes , he said the best he ever had..!! THEN , they took them off the menu & my husband never wants to go there now...

While shopping in White Lake my Aunt and I decided to stop in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The plaza is very dumpy... doesn't seem well taken care of but once you enter Sparkies you're pleasantly surprised how nice it is! It's decorated very nice, and the ambiance is casual but fun. We were seated without a wait, we both ordered the chicken noodle soup which was very good. I had a grilled chicken Cobb salad, I would have it everyday if I could. Perfect place for lunch and I would love to go back for dinner & try different items on the menu. I placed a to-go order for my Hubby and ordered the Ruben Egg Rolls, he said they were excellent. Give Sparkies a try!

What a great restaurant! Why haven't I been here sooner?! Everything about our experience was great (early Jan. 2018). I don't remember exactly what others at my table got but I do remember they really enjoyed it. I got the Ghostly Inferno Burger and a beer. I was afraid the burger was going to be burning hot but it wasn't and I looooved it. I don't like super hot food so this was surprising perfect in terms of heat; a nice heat toward the throat but the relish, tomato and lettuce gave it a little coolness. And the Piedmont beef was amazing with a great rub. Fries can be a nice side statement, but these stood out strongly on their own: crisp, fresh, and flavorful.

Went there for the first time, tried their Chicken Alfredo was very disappointed, food was not good, unfortunately we won't be back.

The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was great. I had littles and they even accommodated packing our dessert to go! I really like the laid back environment. You wouldn't expect something in this exact location to be as nice and warm as it is. We had a good time Good for date night, group of friends or to go watch a game!

We have loved this place for years. It used to be a 5 star, until about a month ago. They changed their food provider and it is nowhere near us good.

Super good food went there for valentine's day and our server was amazing super fast and came to us the perfect amount of times.

I've visited sparkies around four times in the span of living in the area and each time i've experienced different encounters. Throughout each encounter the staff has been amazing, definitely top-tier service! I typically go around dinner time and even though Sparkies is usually packed around that time they don't neglect you. I recently found out that I am allergic to tree nuts so when I went in and asked the waitress about it she was very kind and gave me a few alternative options within the category of meals that I was looking for. I haven't had a problem at this restaurant before and hopefully it stays that way because I love going out to sparkies to enjoy their dinners and hospitality.

Don't let the exterior fool you this place is amazing. Both the drinks and food are something you'd expect to see in a hot spot in downtown Detroit without the ridiculous waits or prices. I can't recommend this place enough.

Great gem!! Out visiting the area and decided we all were hungry so Yelp'd what was available on Labor Day....so glad we stopped in. Service was friendly and efficient. Menu had a great variety so deciding what to eat was difficult. I chose the cheesesteak sandwich, hubby had the turkey ciabatta and others had cheeseburgers. All was tasty! Not enough room for dessert so next time we come through, we will definitely stop in. Food is served on 1/4 sheet pans. We spied nachos going by that looked amazing. Also the mac and cheese looked great too!!

We visited with family and man, I wish there were a Sparkies K&B in the DFW area. I had the Blackened Sirloin Pasta and the steak was cooked perfectly, medium as asked, and the pasta had a little spice to it (YUM!). My 4 year old had the kids spaghetti and ate almost all of it. My husband went for the Black and Blue Burger. He couldn't stop raving about it. Whatever SK&B is doing, needs to continue doing what they are doing.

The server was very good and friendly but unfortunately I was disappointed by the fact that the sandwich was described as having "pork belly" and it was only thick bacon and way overcooked...more like pork jerky ! Don't list pork belly if you're going to use bacon, consumers aren't stupid enough to fall for it !

If you're looking for good carry-out, save yourself the money and effort. Dining in is good and I've never been disappointed, but that was also before covid. I have ordered from here a few times for carry out and I think this was my last. Nachos grande as an entree is simply a handful of chips, a few cubes of tomatoes and maybe a sprinkle of cheese. Certainly nowhere near worth $12 for. No protein at all on it. Burgers are decent, but they don't cook them to what you request. They're on the rare side and crumble apart. I also wish they used more paper containers for carry out than the very durable, oversized plastic containers they use. I do like that they give a little cup of ice cream with every kids meal. That's a nice touch. I've also been happy with the attitudes of the staff. Can't wait for the nonsense of covid to end so we can dine out here again in peace.

If you glance at the menu you think this place might be amazing. It's a scratch kitchen (LOVE) and the decor is warm and friendly. It was pretty busy when we came in and we were sat promptly. The hostess and waitress were friendly. The menu is vast with a lot of options, but it seems like the chef makes a delicious dish, then adds something that totally doesn't match. Very try hard to be trendy but doesn't hit the mark. Their mac and cheese would be great, except that they top it with gorgonzola. Made the whole thing taste sour and terrible. I like gorgonzola, just not on mac and cheese. I also had the reuben egg rolls and they were totally bland and the remoulade to dip didn't mesh well at all. The maryland crab soup wasn't good either. It tasted bland, I saw no visible crab and it was $5 a cup. My whole meal was a huge disappointment. My husband had the nachos and said they were "ok". We won't be back, for the prices the food should have been MUCH better.

We went in expecting a decent burger and ending up having a much better experience. We ordered the steak and cake and the makers mark salmon. Both were delivered quickly and very flavorful. The prices were decent and the atmosphere was modern and clean. My only issue was that the woman's bathroom was not very tidy but after I mentioned this to our waitress it was cleaned immediately. We will definitely put this place in our rotation.
