"Billed as an urban rooftop hideaway, this Fort Lauderdale spot offers a true floating-in-the-clouds feeling, with sweeping downtown views and the ocean looming in the distance on a clear day. Beyond an extensive beverage menu, the fare truly delights, with bao buns, sushi rolls aplenty and Korean fried chicken tenders." - Jesse Scott

"Sitting atop the Dalmar Hotel just north of Downtown Fort Lauderdale, this lounge cocktail staple has sweeping views of the city and ocean in the distance. Its cocktail menu features sections to guide you, such as “group format” (made tableside and for groups), “adventurous,” and “cruise control,” which has tropical spins on classics. The Midnight Child – made with Diplomatic rum, sherry, espresso, and dark chocolate 15 — may be your new favorite spinoff of an espresso martini." - Jesse Scott

"Make your way to the top of The Dalmar hotel and you’ll find Sparrow, a sophisticated rooftop bar that offers panoramic views of the city and the sea. If you’re visiting from New York , it’s not unthinkable that you’d bump into someone who shares your block back home. But the bar has gained a massive following of locals too. Gorgeous scenery aside, the cocktails are what draw customers in and keep them coming back. Sparrow uses local ingredients, for its remade classics and inventions alike. For example, the one-of-a-kind A1A: Patron and sherry with celery, lime, jalapeño, and bit of salt on the rim. Rest assured, these drink-makers know what they’re doing and the flavors always come together—no matter how out-there the recipe may sound." - Jennifer M. Wood

Type of place you want to be awesome but just doesn't quite live up to the hype online or the hype in your mind. Let's be clear: service was excellent and the drinks were craft style and delicious! Food was not small--it was tiny portions. Kid size. Calling this 'tapas-style' is disingenuous at best. Foenthe prices, it's a money grab for lackluster quality. No option to increase tacos from 3 to 4 (to accommodate the group) which is silly. The ambiance from a distance and when u first get there is fun and exciting...until it starts to fade and by the end of the night, the ambiance feels almost juvenile or cheaply done. Just lacks a sense of sophistication IMHO. The views are nice, but not remarkable. We kept comparing Sparrow to Nube rooftop and found ourselves wishing we had gone to Nube--especially for the cost of the night. No hate, no disrespect. Place is a solid C+/B-. Would I go back? Probably not.

Google
5 stars for both the service and the atmosphere! The music was amazing, the vibes were great, and the servers were super friendly. The drinks were also solid overall, except for the Mojito and the Piña Colada both had a strange taste. Our favorite was definitely the Lychee highly recommended! Now, the food… honestly, disappointing. The baos were terrible the pork was undercooked, not enjoyable at all, and they were spicy even though we specifically asked and were told they weren’t. The tacos were great though flavorful and not spicy at all! Definitely recommend those. The tuna tartare was extremely spicy. It was labeled as spicy, so I’ll admit that one’s on us, but it was intense one of our guests nearly choked. The sushi rolls weren’t great either. We had the Dalmar Dragon and it tasted like grocery store sushi small portion, nothing memorable, definitely not worth the price. Bottom line: eat before you come! Then enjoy the drinks and the awesome vibe. Total came to around $440 for 6 people.

The food was very delicious. The restaurant is located on the 25th floor and has a unique drink menu. Upon coming Daniel at the patio bar provided me with some very good suggestions that did not dissapointe. The beverages Kadama's Groove, passion no. 5, and let's get incredible were refreshing. Lastly, dinner the whole snapper was filetted and paired with jasmine rice, and broccoli rabe. The brussel sprouts had a sweet taste, and all the other items; dragon roll, edame, banna pudding and chocolate lava cake were all good. The ambiance was good and they also have a live DJ. I felt as though we were out of town instead of locals. Great job staff here at Sparrow and my family and I will return. Thank you Emily for such awesome service tonight and Daniel at the bar thank you again.

This place has the best ambience and great hospitality. I made a reservation for myself and husband for my birthday. Last minute I had some friends come by and the hostess Isabelle was absolutely amazing. She was gracious , patient and understanding. As my guest started arriving she was able to accommodate my changes . So friendly and I was so appreciative. The vibe was nice . It didn’t get as crowded as I expected but being on the rooftop was awesome. What I do wish was that the DJ was a bit more versatile in his choice of music. But overall it was great.

Google
Enjoy, it's like something you would expect to see in Miami Beach or LA! Beautiful people, an incredible crowd along with happy, well trained employees provided excellent service to us last night, at the Sparrow Rooftop Bar & Restaurant. If you sit at the main Rooftop Bar, ask for Dane. He loves what he does and his passion for it shows in the detail that goes into every drink he pours! Tell him the, "OTHER" Dane suggested his Dirty Martini. He pours it so full... try not to spill it!-). Also, check out the incredible city views & sunsets from the outside rooftop wrap-around patio deck... Enjoy!

I am new to Ft Lauderdale and had the best time with Daniel at the Sparrow Patio Bar. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to drink and not only was Daniel patient with me but he provided the BEST drink recommendations. Don’t even get me started on the food. My group sampled a lot of the appetizers (if not most) and they were all the best. Highly highly reccomend the Sparrow as a Ft Lauderdale must do. 100% will be back. Make sure to try the steak fried rice and a tequila paper plane!

Google
Love the aesthetic overall, although high tops are needed for the views. The good: Michael our server and perhaps a manager was awesome. He truly cared about our experience and was accommodating and attentive. I loved the DJ on both days, different styles which was nice since we went back to back Friday and Saturday. The okay: Drinks. We tried about 6, 3 were too sweet. 2 they didn’t have. 3 were pretty good. The bad. The interior bar tender was off putting and pretty much took his sweet time. Food is a no. Skip it. We left hungry and grabbed Thai next door after spending $100.

Patronized this venue for the 1st time on Saturday night (12/7/24) to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Nice place, cool vibes, & delicious food. Pretty views of downtown FTL from the inside. But not so from the outside terrace. I enjoyed a mocktail and their lobster mac and cheese.😋 The music was super loud but good.

Yelp
*SPEAKEASY SPOILERS AHEAD* I recently visited Sparrow for the second time, and this time it was a surprise birthday date. As someone who loves a good speakeasy, this spot definitely is one of my favorites. From the moment you arrive, you get the full speakeasy magical experience. You check in at the front, and they lead you to a roped-off elevator. The fun part? They unlock a hidden panel inside and hit a secret button to take you up to the rooftop. The ambiance is both sul and intimate, with moody lighting and a neon glow. You can choose to sit outside on the rooftop (be prepared for some wind!) or inside. Either way, the view is incredible from up there! Service was spot on--attentive and friendly, making the whole experience feel seamless. The tapas-style menu was fantastic, and the cocktails were even better. Just a heads-up, they do have a time limit for your stay, but it's well worth it. 10/10 would recommend, and I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Located on the rooftop of The Dalmar hotel, Sparrow is such a cool spot in Fort Lauderdale. Took my mom here while she was visiting and it was the perfect night out. Views of all of Fort Lauderdale are spectacular. The food was great. We got the 12oz NY Strip, Brussels sprouts, Caesar salad and sushi. Loved the presentation of the steak and how it came in little pieces. It was cooked to perfection. The Brussels sprouts and salad were great as well. The sushi was just okay. Probably wouldn't get that again. The service was phenomenal! Can't remember our servers name but he was so attentive. Danny the bartender was great as well! My new go to spot, especially to bring guests that are coming into town.

Yelp
No lie. When my friends mentioned we were going to a cocktail bar I was disappointed because I was STARVING!!! When we arrived the space was so cute and the music was great. The views ... GORGEOUS! (Little warm in there tho) But the food was delicious I was floored. The fried rice with steak was my fav, order the truffle fries and Korean fried chicken. And whatever you do please get the banana cake dessert thing. I don't understand what it's supposed to be. But you need it!

Taylor A.

Yelp
Definitely a cool place to go for the views. It's a rooftop bar that overlooks the city. The food is ok. I had the veggie fried rice, and the portion was crazy small for how much it is. I recommend coming here for drinks and views.

Aja N.

Yelp
We went there tonight for ladies night happy hour. I love the views!! Food is excellent! The sushi is out of this world! Our server Yari was on-point!! She doesn't miss a beat! I'd give her 10 stars if I could! It's tough to get a reservation. Because we have such large parties, open table won't let you book. After numerous voicemails to the restaurant and hotel GM's, no one ever responded. Hopefully they dial that in because we almost went elsewhere.

Yelp
The Sparrow and the Sparrow Rooftop Bars are just plain gorgeous with their 25th-story views atop the Delmar Hotel overlooking the heart of Fort Lauderdale. And as for décor, one word, "stunning." There are two bars, one indoors and one outdoors with a patio-like setting; Each having great views and an atmosphere of elegance. The bartenders are professional, polite, and mix a good cocktail. The restaurant too is total perfection in décor, seating, and overall atmosphere. It has even won awards as the best rooftop dining in Fort Lauderdale. I started my meal with a dozen that were served perfectly shucked with a tasty Asian Pear Mignonette. For my entrée, I went for their Pan Seared Scallops Sautéed with King Trumpet Mushrooms, Uni cream, and Crispy Shallots. The scallops were perfectly seared and couldn't have paired better than with the uni cream's rich and buttery flavor and creamy texture making it so popular as an ingredient with seafood and other dishes. As Sparrow is so very popular, I advise reservation, and if you want to get a seat at the bars, get there early. With its stunning rooftop views, décor, and excellent food, Sparrow is all the way to five Yelp stars for me.

Shay D.

Yelp
Make sure you have a reservation. This place gets packed. Service is little slow but it's expected. They have indoor and outdoor bar. You are able see beautiful views. Drinks are pricey but delicious.

Olivia M.

Yelp
Great rooftop dining option in downtown Fort Lauderdale. Service was friendly and attentive. I loved how they have allergy/preference markers on the menu. They had lots of gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian, and vegan options. We got the Tuna crispy rice, it's was alright could have been crispier. Rice was a bit chewy. Besides that I would definitely revisit this place and maybe try something different!

Nicole S.

Yelp
Went for a date night with my husband. There was a dj but it wasn't overly loud, we could still hear each other. View was great! Service was great ! Our server was very attentive and so nice! To top it all off, food was great!

May E.

Yelp
The perfect combination of great vibes, awesome food, and great service. This is always my go to rooftop since it's not far from me and they have a great happy hour. On a normal day, they could be a little expensive so I prefer going during happy hour. Also, the best ambience you can find in Fort Lauderdale. Decoration is very chic.

Yelp
5 stars for ambiance This place is really pretty & very trendy Great DJ Friday & Saturday night 4 stars for cocktails 5 stars for food I was shocked at how good the food was! Great options for a rooftop bar! Didn't like the sauce that came w the chicken skewers but the chicken was good just on its own. Brussels we're a lil greasy but absolutely delicious! Sushi was incredible!

Lauren G.

Yelp
Food was very average, the sushi was mediocre. Drinks were good and the view was very pretty, but I would choose a different rooftop bar/restaurant in the future. Our server was attentive, but the food quality is what ruined the experience for us. Overall would not return

Laurel M.

Yelp
Girls dinner and drinks with the girls. Danielle our server was wonderful. She was fun, informative and brought the best vibes. Food was great! Can't beat the rooftop views.

Jennifer N.

Yelp
Came last night for dinner. The place is super neat with amazing views. The DJ was a nice touch. The place is dark so it's hard to see the menu. We ordered the Brussels sprouts which were amazing. Truffle fries were delicious. The steak fried rice was not something I'd order again. The tuna tartare was a hit. This is a fun little spot.

Yelp
We had a great time at Sparrow and mainly that was due to our waiter Nick.. He was friendly, conversational as well as recommended some of the best beverages and food that we have had in FT. lauderdale. Nick checked in on us and made sure we had everything we needed to have a wonderful night. We will back to Sparrow !!

Yelp
5 star ambience, 4 star food, 3 star service: Knockout view from rooftop bar/restaurant at the Dalmar Hotel, but with just OK food and less than OK service. 5 star ambience: The star of this show is the location, both the rooftop and the South Beach style swanky hotel plus slick neighborhood. There are killer views in every direction and beautiful interior decoration. 4 star food: The food was good but not great. Vietnamese buns were a good start as were Brussels sprouts. Chicken sandwich (oddly called sando on menu) was overcooked and strangely tasteless. Fried rice was just generally OK. Their real problem is the pricing...at this price point the food should be inventive and terrific, not generic and so-so. 3 star service: Dalmar and Sparrow are clearly going for a South Beach vibe, but failed to get the memo that high prices entail high service and enjoyable warmth. The problem starts at the front door: FOUR valets stood at the valet desk watching my friend Fred get out of his car with an obvious handicap, and walk out of his way over to them with a cane...at a first-class hotel, expensive valet parking entails opening the car door and taking the keys from the driver, not standing and modeling. Oh, and you say thank you often, to maximize tips. There is a similar experience on the way up to the restaurant: cold humorless security check and mandatory escort up an elevator. Check-in desk and service in the restaurant were similar: no smiles, no warmth and a general "I'm fabulous that's why I work HERE" vibe.

Yelp
I've gone to Sparrow a few times. The ambiance is great! It is a rooftop bar on the top of the Delmar hotel - what's better than a rooftop?! However, the service can be super lackluster. I've sat for 30+ minutes waiting to have my drink order taken. The servers are always MIA and once you do order it will take another 30 minutes to get your drinks. I think my last dinner there was 3 hours just because of how long it took to get through ordering our meals and getting them brought to us. The food is fine. It is definitely not something I dream about, but it is not bad. The Caesar salad is really good!

Yelp
Came here on Saturday night with friends. We arrived at 8:30 for our dinner reservations. Our table was not ready so we headed over to the bar for a couple of drinks. Here is where things got weird: The cocktail menu is absolute gorgeous and enticing. It's soooo hard to pick a drink. I was very excited to try a few of these. So when the bartender comes over and I finally pick a drink, it's not available. Boo. Okay so I pick another one. Also not available. What the heck?! I find it really off putting when so many items are unavailable at a place. Part of the reason of coming here is the variety of cocktails. With that said, I finally chose one that was available, "Let's get incredible" and it was absolutely delicious. Drank that all night. The table was available quickly. We were greeted by the waiter and she took our order very quick. (Much appreciated) We had the raw oysters which were absolutely delicious. Best thing we had. I also got the crispy rice & spicy tuna tartare which I found to be extremely greasy. I think the rice sat too long in the oil. Also, not spicy at all. Kind of lackluster tbh.. And the lobster roll which did not taste truffled and had no avocado inside as shown on the menu.. Overall nice ambiance, nice location but food isn't that great. Cocktails are the main star of this place (when in stock) lol

Angel C.

Yelp
First time here with some friends from out of town. First Valet; If you are not a regular here you would not know about the parking prices. The valet open the door and said $30 cash for parking. They provided no other options. Meanwhile there's a small little sign by the valet stand indicating the prices of $7 at garage (Which for them it's several blocks down the street). This was horrible customer service! They don't provide you with no other options which is very much deceiving customers. 5 star for the ambience atmosphere. 5 star for the food and staff.

Veronica G.

Yelp
I visited the bar twice over the weekend while staying at the Del Mar hotel. The view of the city from the bar is stunning, and the service was top-notch. The bartender was personable and skilled in making delicious cocktails. The modern and sexy decor adds to the overall ambiance. I would definitely recommend this bar.

Melissa S.

Yelp
Came here for a friend's birthday. I loved the ambiance and the music. The volume for dinner at 6:30 was a bit much. Call me crazy, but I like being able to hear the people I'm at a table with. As the night went on, forget it. We were talking into each others' ears to be heard. I get it past 9 but holy crow. Food was just ok. I had the pork bao buns. The pork was rather fatty, and whatever they put on top was too spicy for how little slaw was inside to offset it. I'd come back for the music and drinks in a Lee evening, but wouldn't dine here again.

Heather H.

Yelp
We came here for date night with some of our friends and we all agreed the food was not great. Don't eat here come for the vibe! The food did not meet my expectations. Everything was soooo salty. However the drinks, ambiance and DJ were top notch! The DJ that came on around 10pm was amazing. His mix of music and seamless transitions were such a vibe! I ordered the pina colada and it was one of the best I have ever had. All of our friends enjoyed their drinks and the music. Highly recommended for a date night or just a good time with good drinks. Valet parking is the best option but be prepared to wait a long time for your car at end of the evening.

Jocelyn R.

Yelp
I loved this place, the sever I had was a sweetheart and she was very attentive! The view was gorgeous and the food was great

Jess R.

Yelp
I do have to say it is a vibe. It's very enjoyable and it's very cute. We went there for my sister's birthday January 20. Unfortunately we ended up waiting 15 to 20 minutes for a waitress. I am unsure if it was because it was a Friday night or it was busy, but that was a little bit of a disappointment. The pork buns were delicious along with the Moscow meal. I wish the mac & cheese was a little bit cheesier, but it was still really good. Overall, the vibe was good. Our table is right in front of the DJ so it was a little bit difficult to hold a conversation just because the music was in our ears the whole night.

Sachin N.

Yelp
I had a reservation for a weekend night at the Sparrow and my experience was bizarre to be brutally honest. Once we showed up, we waited for about 20 minutes or so to be seated. We were told to get some drinks if we wanted at the bar area, which, by the way, was super crowded with people either already sitting or waiting to order drinks. This entire experience has left me flabbergasted. I've never been so perplexed to write a review about a place. Sparrow is a rooftop lounge/ restaurant but the vibes here are completely different. They have an indoor and an outdoor area depending on your mood and the availability of tables. At the time we went, the indoor area was super dim with LOUD MUSIC blasting through the speakers. At that point, we decided to request for a table outdoors, not because of the choice, but by necessity since we couldn't even hear each other talk. We had to lean in and scream into each others ears if we wanted to have a conversation. The outdoors wasn't different, since they have speakers mounted there as well but it wasn't deafening. We were seated at a corner spot which was decent. At my time of visit, I could see no views and couldn't differentiate this to other sit down restaurants (solely speaking about views). The outdoor area wasn't as I expected. The seats are pretty low and the walls are high so you don't see anything. Regardless of whether you're sitting or standing, there are no views to be seen from the outdoor area. The indoor seating area might be different since I could see floor to sealing windows which would catch a pretty cool view of the city outside. Talking about the food and drinks, we had a couple of cocktails and they were pretty fantastic. We had truffle fries with the drinks and nothing else. The fries were crispy and tasted really good. The service overall was an A and I have no complaints here. They have valet parking (I guess but I did street parking since I could find a spot close by). The best way to visit this place is by reservation since there is a rep downstairs who would ask for your reservation time before you take the lift, oh and by the way, there would be like an escort to take you up the lift. You can't just catch the lift and go upstairs on your own. I had made a reservation for a rooftop restaurant expecting to see breathtaking views of the city but I was left disappointed. The loud music coupled with the music choices (which resembled a club theme where people would have the urge to get up and dance) just felt out of place for a rooftop restaurant. I expected music, not gonna lie, but to be on the mellow side where people could enjoy each others company, appreciate the views and could talk freely without screaming into each others ears. I'd, however, like to give this place a try during daylight and experience how that feels, but during my time, the vibe was just out of place.

Eric L.

Yelp
It's worth the view and the gin cocktail named Red. Service is on top of it. Will be back

Jeff L.

Yelp
what a bad time to be a walk in. my wife and I waited for 40 minutes to get a table. Once seated our server I think was sherry it was a little loud to hear correctly she was extremely rude and aggressive. Our Drinks took way longer to arrive even tho I saw them at the bar just sitting there sweating. The music was not the best selection for the setting but it was getting a little later in the night. finally the food came out but was sent back because it was not cooked all the way through. The appetizers were probably the best part. The service was absolutely horrible the manager had to comp us drinks because our servers kept getting lost. My wife came back From the bathroom demanded we leave. I ask what the rush was and she expressed That our server and another girl were in the bathroom using a substance called Kay. After my wife startled them because they thought it was just them in there she over heard them discussing oral activities with guest and other staff in the restrooms while being at work on the clock. The second my wife heard them talking about having a partner at home and doing these activities That was enough for my wife to make an emergency exit. We lost our child to a overdose so my wife does not tolerate or support it at all.Such an amazing set up but poorly managed and the staff's manors and looks are very hard to look past. Unfortunately we will not be back..

Carlos R.

Yelp
What an incredible night! The food was an explosion of flavors, the drinks were creative and delicious, and the DJ had us dancing all night. A special shoutout to Sarah, who saved the day by getting my wife sandals when her heels broke. This place truly has it all - great food, drinks, music, and exceptional service. Can't wait to come back!

Jessica P.

Yelp
Honestly very fun atmosphere with a DJ going while we order food, drinks and eat but it's chaos. Half of our food was originally delivered to another table, we finally got the waitresses attention and had it brought over to us but then they forgot the rest of our order in the back. Was annoying but we ended up making the most of it. The mushroom and pork bao were good and we got a salmon roll that i forgot to photograph cause i was so hungry.

Ifeoma I.

Yelp
Sparrow is a beautiful roof top bar at the Delmar hotel. It's such a beautiful ambiance and an amazing view Fort Lauderdale. We made dinner reservations in a Saturday night and were immediately seated upon arrival. It was a busy night, so reservations are encouraged on weekends. The appetizer selection was excellent! I was especially aware of their amazing sushi selection, but also ordered the duck and pork baos which were great! Of note was also the crispy Brussels sprouts which came very well seasoned in a miso sauce. As for sushi, we went with the spicy tuna (3rd street crunch) and the lobster roll, both of which I highly recommend. The drinks were also really good, and I tried the pina colada and the midnight child (rum, espresso, dark chocolate) which equally satisfied my range of sweet cravings. This is a great place to celebrate a milestone, have dinner dates, or just hang out with friends after a long week. The staff was helpful but it was clear that they were juggling a lot at a time since it was very busy.

Brandon B.

Yelp
Love this place! Food is amazing (I had the lobster Mac n cheese as well as the tuna crispy rice) and the atmosphere is a great vibe. Awesome music and exceptional service! Our waiter Nick was great! Cracking jokes with us all night he really made the experience worth while!!

Tanya M.

Yelp
Sparrow is a very trendy rooftop lounge restaurant/bar off of Federal Highway towards downtown Fort Lauderdale area on top of the Dalmar which is a Marriott property. The rooftop lounge is only opened after 5pm Thursday - Saturday. Beautifully decorated with a chic old Hollywood glam velet suade couches amd seatinga areas. The food options are great for all palettes with a combo of bar food, lute bites, sushi, and full entrees. I have been both to Happy Hour at 6pm which is perfect for those seeking a space for good vibes and conversations with gorgeous views of downtown Fort Lauderdale. Saturday evenings is a great for a more upbeat/club lounge vibe after 9pm. Check out this very trendy rooftop lounge for the Grown & Sexi!

Christine D.

Yelp
My favorite rooftop in Fort laurdy...The exceptional quality of the food was complemented by the great service provided by the attentive and knowledgeable staff.

Claire S.

Yelp
My husband and I went to Sparrow for a date night. I had been there once before, but this was the first time I ordered food. The lounge atmosphere is still great, and the DJ was awesome again. The food is pretty average, so I might suggest eating first and then coming here for drinks. We ordered the lobster sushi roll, and we requested no asparagus. The roll came out within two minutes, complete with asparagus, so I'm sure it was pre-made. The flavor was pretty good. We also shared the steak, which was cooked and flavored well, and the kimchi was a unique touch. Unfortunately, you might wait a while between rounds of drinks, which is kind of a buzzkill. We ended up cancelling our last round after waiting more than 10 minutes. However, the servers are all very sweet and helpful. Overall, Sparrow is a nice date night spot for drinks and good music!

Missy R.

Yelp
Food 2/5 Service 4/5 Ambiance 5/5 The vibe is great! Fun and non pretentious... such a great vibe

Yelp
I stayed at the hotel and went up to the sparrow for dinner and drinks one evening. We sat at the bar and had the best conversation and drinks served by Adam and John! The food and DJ were great and the inside and outside are gorgeous!

Gabrielle Y.

Yelp
Good vibes, great drinks, friendly server, and subpar food. This is a really nice rooftop bar for catching up with friends or dates and getting drinks. We came in at 9PM on a Friday night. It was windy in outdoor seating, but they had warmers all around. Good music, not very crowded but a good level of busy. Easy to get in. We Ubered and very glad we did, but the traffic was not bad at all. Views aren't amazing, but good interior decorations. (Reminds me of BlackBird in Brickell tbh.) Disappointed to have had our server inform us that a lot of the drink and food menu items were unavailable already. The drink menu looked really nice but limited bc of availability, but we still enjoyed our Leeshe and "Me Oh My" drinks. I'd come back here for drinks again, and would love to try their happy hour. They have a full bar with a great menu of speciality mixes. For food, we ordered truffle fries, chicken skewers, rainbow roll, and ceviche tostada. For the price, I've had better tasting and looking food for less of the price. Truffle fries was the best, good salting and hefty portion (the cheapest of everything we got). We had to send the chicken skewers back because it was not well seasoned (just tasted like it was lightly brushed with bbq sauce) and chewy. Rainbow roll looked like something you get from Publix sushi corner. The ceviche flavor wise was good, but gets no presentation points at all. Just 3 blobs of white in a puff/chip cup. (I would've taken a photo but I was busy enjoying my conversation with my date). Overall, I think you're paying for the vibes and should go for the drinks.

Christine B.

Yelp
A beautiful space enduring out with well-made drinks, and a nice selection of food. Perfect place for a group.

We came in town for a girls weekend and saw that they did ladies nights on Thursday so it was perfect for us. The rooftop was super cute & the DJ played great music. We didn't have dinner started with lobster Mac.n.cheese, Brussels and truffle fries along with sushi- everything g was so good. We also ordered the steak and that was also good. The chicken skewers were ok. Got the lobster fried rice and shrimp fried rice but those dishes were bland. I will saw it was a little hard to eat because it was so dark and we were at a lounge table. I enjoyed my drink- I believe it's the A1 (tequila drink) that was spicy. All the other drinks the girls were just ok. I will say it was too busy but service was a bit slow. I've noticed that a lot of places we've been to here. I wish we were able to have desserts but the kitchen closed at 11:30 and they closed at midnight which is early. The price wasn't bad either. We were shocked. If I lived here, I'd definitely be back for a date night or another girls night out.

Yelp
A little pricey for the food that they serve but overall had a good experience. Made reservations and was seated within 10 minutes. Music was on point and the view was amazing. For food we had the lobster mac & cheese which could've been a little bit better, the spicy edamame was everything, and the fried rice was OK. Drinks were all right and once we told the waitress that we needed them a little stronger the rest of the drinks that came out for us was really good. 8/10. Will be back.

Yelp
I had a fantastic experience with my homies, our server Yari was amazing tonight, she hosted great hospitality and went above and beyond, the atmosphere is great out doors. My group thoroughly enjoyed their meals. All around great experience, definitely would recommend to my other friends!

Yelp
We have been looking to check out the Dalmar & it's dining options for some time. We checked out the menus & reviews beforehand and decided on Sparrow because the menu had lots of options, and we wanted the rooftop experience. We tried calling ahead to ask about parking; but all we got was a recording. I also tried calling the hotel directly but the girl who answered wasn't sure how much parking was or If any of the restaurants validated. We decided to park in the metered lot across the street where it was $5 for an hour and a half. Upon entering the Dalmar there is a checkin station for Sparrow. We confirmed our reservation for 6:15 on a Friday, snd were given wristbands so we could ride the elevator and get rooftop access. There was another hostess stand upstairs where we actually had 2 people see us and offer to help us before the hostess appeared. (She was dressed in jeans and a untucked plaid flannel shirt, which seemed a little too causal for the upscale vibe of the restaurant.). We were led to a cute, but tiny, table with trendy, artsy armchairs right next to the window. The only drawback was that my husband's chair backed right up to the dj booth, and he did not like the incessant club beats going down. We were definitely a little older than most of the crowd there. I didn't mind the music; but it was definitely hard to have a conversation even though our table was small and we were pretty close to each other. The entire vibe is mixed with varied seating options and eclectic pops of color throughout the restaurant. The inside has a bar and a private room, big enough for about 15, that overlooks the city to the south. The indoor has open access to the patio; which has an outdoor feel with trees, plants, and a heater for chilly evenings. There is an additional bar on the patio. The views are great; but the windows/glass could definitely use a little cleaning. They had a list of craft cocktails; however I just ordered a craft beer ($9,) and my husband ordered an old-fashioned with Maker's Mark. They were out of the bourbon; so he ordered a Jack and Coke instead. (Luckily we checked the bill carefully because he was charged for both drinks. Once we brought it to our server's attention; it was removed.). Drinks were brought out promptly and for dinner I ordered the Sparrow Burger ($24.). It was juicy & huge and came with a gigantic mound of truffle fries. It was good; but not sure if it was $24 good. I ate half and was completely stuffed because it was so filling. My husband ordered a salmon roll ($14) and a Third Street Crunch ($16),) which was a spicy tuna roll with tempura flakes. Both were a decent size and he enjoyed them both. The presentation was really nice and they tasted fresh. It was kind of difficult fitting both meals, drinks, and water glasses on our little table. It kind of reminded me of something you'd see in a lounge setting....not for a full dinner meal. If I was to return to Sparrow, it would most likely be for drinks and to enjoy the view. It would be a cool place to bring out of town guests, or maybe celebrate a special occasion with friends.

Yelp
What a wonderful bar and restaurant. The sushi was great! And the DJ, Michael, was awesome! He played a wide variety of hits that were well mixed! Niicceee!

Yelp
We chose this over terrace grill downstairs because a friend recommended the view and they were right. You can see all the way out to the ocean. It is a great spot to pop in and head out or if your just there to lounge. But, for an actual meal, it's underwhelming. The sparrow burger was surprising good at first with two big parties and truffle fries, however it had an ocean after taste that became stronger with each bite. Completely odd for a burger. So, likely their using the same cookware for fish, which is alarming (#bacteria) and not taking enough time to sanitize between dishes. The lobster dish was served in a small, nearly tv dinner like plastic tray and didn't taste like anything-just empty rubber space to chew on. The service was sketch at first, the hostess kept letting the cat out the bag on how many people were "surprise" visiting for dinner, which is ridiculous because the reservation was a surprise birthday dinner... additionally even the person seating is was kind of oblivious to our concern that our table was so close to others, instead of spaced a little further a part, especially with us timing to leave within 1 hour or so. Lastly, when at the table, the server and food runners were great. They were busy, but very helpful and quick. Random staff even realized I needed a photo, so they came from across the place and made enough time for us with a smile. There were quite a few of these moments that make up for it. I'd go back for a coffee and linking to meet with friends, but not the food or a special event.

Yelp
Sparrow is one of the nicest places in Fort Lauderdale as a rooftop and for a date night for an event it opens up at 6 PM and closes around 1 AM. The food is amazing the service is nice and pleasant and likes to explain the menu for different types of food that they offer.

Yelp
Super cool rooftop bar with chill vibes. Plenty of seating inside and out. Definitely recommend to bring a jacket as it gets chilly in the cooler months up top outside! Be forewarned the bar is expensive, two drinks ran $32. Drinks were delicious but long term may not be the best for your budget. I didn't eat here as the kitchen closes around 930 I believe. When I visited DJ was a blast and played some great music. Love the views you can see around the area from here.

Yelp
We stopped in while staying at the Delmar and I'm glad we did. It was a busy Friday night and we thought cocktails sounded nice, plus we were hungry. Sparrow didn't disappoint. We got a table outside and the views are amazing. It's heated for chilly nights, and there's a glass partition to stop some of the wind. Food was exquisite. We got duck bao buns, tuna tar tar on crispy rice and a 3rd street crunch roll. All we're perfect. Just the right about for 2 people and with cocktails and tip we ended the night at an even $100. Not bad for the area and quality. The service was just ok. It was busy, so I'll give them that. But this place struggles with identity as well. It's like a restaurant/bar masquerading as a club.. or the other way around at times. Great dj, but REALLY loud. I wouldn't care, but no one was dancing and even if they wanted to it's not really set up that way. Very odd. Super cool for drinks, amazing food, perfect views. We'd come back.

Yelp
First, I want to mention that the food was reasonably priced and delicious; great selection as well. However, I was very disappointed with many aspects of my experience here last night. - the valet process was confusing and the guys working were not much help, unclear pricing and insufficient directions from staff as to how to proceed when picking up - the hostess who seated us was wearing a lovely, chic black cocktail dress with white high-top sneakers - the waiter was very unprofessional, from his apparel (jeans, white t-shirt and untucked/wrinkled button down chambray shirt), to his odd comments and ineffective communication style - most of the service people, waiters and food runners, were dressed like they were attending a college frat party - several times the waiter and food runner left the table empty handed and had to be asked to remove dirty dishes/glasses from the table (restaurant 101 training, never leave a table empty handed) - twice our food runner came out with food for us and proceeded to wander to multiple tables asking if the food belonged to them before getting the food to us Overall, I would recommend management take a long, hard look at hiring and training practices, the entire experience felt very unorganized and amateurish. (NOTE: the last time I was here, which was about 3 years ago, it was much better.

Yelp
I was here on a business trip, and I was starving. I guess I got lucky because the receptionist advised that I was right ahead of their most crowded time. I'll take it...I headed up the elevator and was amazed by the view and the ambiance. I walked around for a bit because I wanted to sit at the outside bar, which was full. Once a seat was available, I sat down and was immediately greeted by not one but two people. A bartender and someone else... maybe she was a bartender but appeared to be working in another capacity... Anyway, they both came to my immediate need. I ordered my gin and the Sparrow Caesar Salad with chicken to start. While finishing my salad, I stumbled across the 12oz Prime NY Strip on the menu. Now, who doesn't love a great steak... oh, and don't judge me... I told you all I was starving. The salad was delicious, but DIS HERE STEAK... GOOD LAWD A MERCY! The steak was cooked to perfection, seasoned to trigger every taste bud you have, and then some. I certainly wanted another one, but I needed to let it marinate in my belly and settle down for a couple of minutes. Overall I had an amazing experience. I just hated that I had to be up early for an appointment; otherwise, I would have tried to see what the night would bring in South Florida. If you are ever in Fort Lauderdale and you are looking for a place to eat with nice vibes, friendly staff, and a fantastic experience, go check out Sparrow. When you do, tell'em Drew sent ya! Yall be easy now! Drew
