My food order was very very very BAD. My total was almost $50, it was late and incorrect. Ordered macaroni and yams I got string beans, half of jerk chicken was small 3pieces leg, back. I really want my money back I can’t even eat this! I waited a long time for an incorrect, sloppy, meat very salty, sides very bland. Rib tips taste like salty hard chicken/ turkey tips. I’m am beyond upset… look at these tacos covered in something. Everything tastes old and warmed up. HORRIBLE threw the whole thing in the garbage

Happy to have supported a small business. The food was fresh and hot however, the description of the dish and the model pictures do not look like the food I received. It was just okay but lacking the flavor and presentation I expected. And it was mostly white rice.

To start off the staff was very polite and my order was right on time as I picked it up. The Macaroni & Cheese was phenomenal I definitely need the recipe I know I’m will be trying that again. The cabbage could have used some work maybe some smoke meat and a hint of spice. The rib tips were nice and big also tender and juicy. Will definitely be trying this place out for other items.

Grub was delish! Dine-in experience is not the focus of the space, but the good food and nice staff speak for themselves. Had the fried chicken + catfish taco and it was yum.

I grew up in the south, wanted to try some soul food in Chicago. Absolutely amazing food. Definitely reminds me of home. Dante is an amazing chef. If you got that cravings for some soul food this is the place to go.

My wife and I had high hopes for this place, hoping to pick up a nice lunch after visiting Garfield o Conservatory. Placed an order and app said order would be ready by 12:15. Showed up about 12:20 but order not done and kitchen staff looked to be disorganized. They were polite and helpful, however. Order was finally ready about 12:30 p.m. and we went home to eat as there is no onsite seating. Her catfish was “better than okay” but too salty and she wondered why restaurant didn’t include some kind of dipping sauce—red or tartar—for her fish. I had the jambalaya. It had a nice, piquant bite but was a bit of a salt bomb. Nothing to write home about. We had high hopes of finding a West Side neighborhood dining gem, but were disappointed. I think the potential is there, but systems and food need some work. And I got a text after 5 p.m. saying that my order was ready for pickup…. 😂🤷‍♂️

1. THEYRE BLACK OWNED AND AFFORDABLE 2. Their tacos are 1.00 everyday... and the meat isn't old. The only downside is I prefer mozzarella cheese but that is a personal preference, the taco was still good. 3. I tried their Cajun eggroll and damn near ate my finger it was so fye 20 outta 10 no lie ima be back 2ma lol YO IM MAD AINT NOBODY TOLD ME ABOUT THEM TIL NOW...
