Sperry's Cool Springs

Having “grown up” with Sperry’s Belle Meade, I was excited to go to the “new” place. Was not let down in my manner, the inside made me reminisce of visits as a child with my father, and also gave a similar feel for my wife, who grew up in Belle Meade, and has has also enjoyed many meals at Sperry’s. We started off with cocktails and great conversation. My wife wanted escargot and they were wonderfully prepared and aromatic. We split a wedge salad and French Onion Soup. Ashley got the Filet Oskar and it was perfect. The Lamb was delicious as usual. A couple of the best Brandy Alexanders in the world and warm brownie capped off an amazing meal.

A dark, nostalgic steakhouse setting, good service, really enjoyed the Escargot, seasoned perfectly, served out of the shell; the Scallops Benedict, and don’t be put off by the grits, with Salmon Florentine which could have been cooked just a little less, and a nice Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc. I only had appetizers while my partner had a meal. The waiter should have thought to serve one of my appetizers with her salad. There is a full bar, and a diverse wine list, with a focus on reds. Excellent brunch, no reservations needed, in a classic wood paneled steakhouse setting, with excellent service by Sarah at the bar. There is a full bar and a good wine list. The Smoked Salmon and Seared Tuna Stack are excellent, the mix of mango and avocado add textures and tastes. The Blue Point Oysters with mignonette are fresh and tasty.

Neat place, cool old steak house vibe. Super busy for dinner. Bartenders were great, great drinks. Service was a bit slow when we got to our table. Overall, the food was good! Tried a few items. I do feel there's better steak places around Nashville, but this was good.

This was my first time dining at Sperry’s. The service was top notch throughout the entire evening. We celebrated my birthday and the staff went above and beyond making us feel like we were celebrating with family. The food was excellent. Our prime rib was cooked perfectly.

We got amazing service and the place was very cool. I ordered the big prime rib and the salad bar. Salad bar was great, and my prime ribbwas perfect. My wife had been craving and ordered the special; the French Dip with shoestring fries. Overall, she didn't finish the French dip. It had very little flavor, and the meat was a bit overcooked for prime rib. Even dipping it in the Au Jus, it still lacked any real flavor profile. She had been looking forward to this meal for almost a year and left very disappointed. I rated it a 4 since I enjoyed my steak and salad.

We drove three hours to visit this establishment and ended up at the wrong location and this location took great care of us. It's hard to find quality steaks these days and this place was great. The drinks are very good one will do you!

The food was amazing!!!! But even better than the food was service like I've never seen before, Jared went above and beyond in making my wife and I's experience that much more. Wish there was a way to make a reservation and a preference to a server as it was that great. Highly recommend the prime rib and toffee cake for dessert 20/10

Excellent dinner, tender, and moist salmon, and the carrot cake was to DIE for! Not your typical recipe at all, more like a Christmas fruitcake, with an in-house made, sugar-glaze icing. The jazz playing on the house speakers was just the proper volume to give ambiance yet not interfere with hearing the conversation at my table. The only unfortunate aspect of this otherwise pristine establishment was the crushed foam center of the seat of my chair. It made leaving the table regrettably quite difficult and entirely for the wrong reasons. Oh, the asparagus spears were the *perfect* aldente crispy yet tender, and my coffee was absolutely lovely; it had a thick and delicious texture with a smooth flavor, not some overly-filtered excuse for java that was brewed from some cellophane wrapper hastily poured into a paper filter. I've forgotten my server's name, but he brought me a second cup without a prompting, and he's my hero, to be sure!! Well done, in all. Please screen out the seats that need fresh padding. I truly love this restaurant, and as we all know, the devil is in the details!

Superb food and service!! Took friends who had never been to Sperry's. They were awestruck with the ambience of the restaurant as well as the prime rib and salad bar! Our waiter couldn't have been more accommodating. A wonderful dining experience as always!

Charlotte did a good job taking care of us. Ambiance was also special as we sat next to the fireplace. The steak was exceptional too.

I would have sworn that I had previously reviewed Sperry's but since I don't see it I thought I would give them some love. And I do mean LOVE! One of the prime steakhouses in Nashville used to be our go to for a nice dinner or special event, but over the last couple of years Sperry's has definitely taken that spot. The service is excellent. Relaxed, friendly and perfectly attentive. The food has always been spot on. We especially love the salad bar and the decor is a nice blend of up scale and rustic. I almost always get an email from management thanking us for coming in AGAIN. Kind of a special little touch. If i haven't said love enough, LOVE!

I have lived in Nashville my entire life and grew up going to the original Sperry's in Belle Meade. I still frequent that one at least once a month, and have never had a bad experience. When I'm in Cool Springs for work, I like to go to Sperry's in Cool Springs when I can. It typically lives up to the original, until last night. I have never had a rude server, but last night it was clear our server did not want to be there and had zero personality. He questioned everything we ordered, but the worst was when we ordered a cafe sperry for dessert. He literally said, that's not a thing. I assured him it was and always has been and that I've had them at both the Belle Meade and Cool Springs location. He pulled out the dessert menu and I pointed it out to him. He laughed at me and said no one has ever ordered that! Apparently the bartender had no clue either what it was as we were served plain coffee with a little whip cream on top. Definitely NOT a cafe sperry. He then got attitude, did not apologize so we ended up paying and leaving. I was very disappointed. My coworker is from CA and this was only his second time going to Sperry's. We will definitely not go back. There are much better options in the area.

Sperry's continues to excel for lunch with excellent service at the full bar, and excellent appetizers including the Crab Bisque, French Onion Soup, Smoked Salmon, perfectly tender in a thick filet, and the classic shoestring French fries. Followed by excellent Crème Brûlée. The wood paneled steakhouse interior is very quiet at lunch.

My first time at Sperry's and I will be back! I really enjoyed the personable servers who were very attentive to our needs. We were celebrating a birthday and they made it one to remember. I had the crab bisque soup, salmon Florentine (Oscar style) with garlic whipped potatoes. We also enjoyed the espresso brownie (didn't taste like coffee which I appreciated)

They still got it - they always do! Stopped by for HH and this place is consistently good! We had the Salmon Toast which is always awesome! Their Martini is always on point. Love their blue cheese olives with a slightly dirty martini! Plus sitting at the bar is always fun. Charlotte, the bartender was fantastic! We have had her before in Feb dining room and she always has great recs and awesome server/bartender!

Always a good dining experience here. I had the shrimp bisque but missed the picture. It was so good I wanted to lick the bowl. My main dish was the Angus chopped steak with mushroom burgundy sauce. Essentially a cooked steak tartare. They default to medium well but I asked for medium and they accommodated and nailed it. My wife had the filet med rare and it was coast to coast so also nailed it. You have to love it here because you can come casual like we did tonight or more formal. Even though they were busy the service was on top of everything.

A while back I posted a negative review, although Sperrys did get back to me and made it right, I wanted to post another review, this one is an exceptional review, we had dinner last night for my sons birthday, Sperrys has really upped their game, we had a incredible meal, the waiter was excellent. Sperrys is now our "go to" restaurant.

Of all the things I miss about living in Franklin Sperry's is close to the top of the list. The food is quality and the service is superb. It's some of the best prime rib and steaks anywhere. They don't rush you to turn a table. Your server monitors your table as you move through drinks and your salad as not to bring the entree too soon. The atmosphere is old school steak which is exactly what I love. They even have a salad bar which is always fresh.

One of our happy hour go to restaurants. Great place for good food at a discount if you are there before 6pm. Best salad around

Traveling south my family and I spent the night in the area and decided to eat at Sperry's because it was close to our hotel, the quality reviews, and they stayed open late. The place reminded me of a supper club in the north woods of Wisconsin. The place was packed when we arrived but We were the only table in the building for the second half of the meal which was fine with us. To start our meal we had bread, salmon, crab cakes, and escargot. The star was the salmon which our server told us was prepared daily. It was absolutely amazing. Salads come with the meals and I had some of a wedge and some French onion soup. The dressing tasted like it was homemade it was good and had a hint of nutmeg I think that was tasty. The soup was solid with a flavorful broth. For dinner we had a mixture of steaks, lobster, halibut, ahi, and lamb chops. Everything was good and was seasoned nicely. If you stop in don't skip the dessert. I was told that most of the desserts they make in house and the peppermint ice cream and sticky toffee pudding were great. We

After receiving a gift card for Sperry's a year ago.... I decided it was finally time to use it. Dad's birthday is this weekend, so we ventured here last night for a nice dinner. Interior was a little dark and tables too crowded together for me. I could hear every word being said at the tables next to me. That said, service was fantastic. I can't remember our guys name, but very attentive and customer service was tops. They want you to have a good experience. Food, nothing to complain about there! I got the Caesar and the filet and crab cake combo. Ordered it medium rare, but more rare then medium. It was perfect! Warm and very very pink in the middle.... As every steak should be (on my opinion). Crab cake was loaded with huge chunks of fresh crab, no filler. Didn't love the mustard sauce it came with. I wish it had a spicy aioli or something with more pizazz, but still darn good! My parents were jealous of my salad. They both picked the salad bar option and regretted it the second they walked up to the salad bar. I didn't see it, but very unappealing and underwhelming they said. All in all, I would definitely recommend and return myself!

This restaurant is just consistent. I was in town for business and as always had to go for dinner. We got seated quickly and our waitress was not far behind. As having been here several times before when in the area, we knew what we wanted. The salad bar is always good. It is well stocked and great variety. We passed on appetizers and one of ordered the filet Oscar and I got a bone-in-ribeye. Both of our meals were cooked to perfection. We had some sides and they were of sharable size. The hot carrot cake was our choice for dessert. It's not a traditional carrot cake but it's definitly good and again of a sharable size. We left very full and totally satisfied. Looking forward to my next trip to the area and another visit to Sperry's.

Filet amazingly tender and cooked perfectly. Twice baked potato always delicious. The topper was the Bananas Foster prepared tableside. Service exceptional by Carlos and the classy steakhouse ambiance added to the entire experience.

Sperry's never disappoints, even a simple lunch date was fantastic! And really not above the going lunch prices at casual dinning places in Cool Springs. However the experience and lunch were superior.

Popped over for happy hour as everyone says it's one of the best in town and it was a nice experience overall. Very affordable well drinks and beer/wine, $14 signature martini menu, and nice selection of appetizers for happy hour, all in a very classic steakhouse setting. We really enjoyed the prime rib sliders ($12) and the beer and house wine were great and the best deal. Service was impeccable and felt welcome, even though we were just there for happy hour. Heard the steaks are amazing and will return sometime to have a full dinner!

This place.... It's so hard to not rate it a 5/5 based on the food!!!!!!! Everything was delicious and all 5 of our plates were cleared. BUT HERE IS WHY IT GETS A 3 My 14oz ribeye was supposed to be medium and charred on top. The server said they could absolutely do that. When our food came out my friend's filet (that was supposed to be medium well) was pink and medium while mine was dark and dry. Now, I am not the type to send food back but the ribeye was $45 therefore, it should be corrected. The manager brought out the new ribeye, which was delicious and cooked perfectly. BUT our server had an attitude problem for the rest of the night and wouldn't even come back to our table and didn't come by to see if the ribeye was correct. I work for a corporate company now, but in my past like I was a server and your attitude and how you treat your customers EVEN when they complain matters. After not coming by, he came to get our checks and my friend paid and had around ($7) dollars that she would've gotten back because she paid with cash. She was going to give this man more than $7 because her bill was fairly high and this man didn't even bother to bring her changed back. For her to swap out for $12 instead of only getting $7..... The building was beautiful and the feeling was classy but also comfortable! The glass windows were beautiful.

I took my husband to Sperry's for his birthday. We had the absolute best service! Jared our server was amazing! He was very knowledgeable in the menus and recommended the best meals. I appreciate how important they made us feel and very service oriented!!

We went there last night to eat and took a friend with us and the food was delicious. I had the salmon Florentine, as well as another person, had it and the salad bar. The server was great and kept asking us if we needed anything else and removing our dirty dishes. I do recommend Sperry's restaurant.

After nearly 20 years of enjoying exceptional dining experiences at this restaurant, I regret to say that I will not be returning. During my recent visit, I encountered a significant decline in the quality of service. Our waitress, an older woman with reddish-brown hair, displayed unprofessional and unacceptable behavior. She was particularly discourteous to the female members of our party, consistently taking their orders last and exhibiting disrespectful gestures such as rolling her eyes. While the quality of the salad bar and the food remained excellent, the conduct of the waitress severely marred what was meant to be a special occasion. It is disheartening to see such a once-beloved establishment fail to maintain its previously high standards of customer service.

Always generous portions .great drink pours, friendly fast service .and very good menu variety and fresh food ..excellent shrimp cocktail appetizers .. Happy to support a great local legendary restaurant !

The attention to allergies was mediocre from the waitress I had. Management did make it right after. The food was good and fit for the business - highly recommend the carrot cake. I could not have it, but my colleagues loved it!

The food is always excellent. The service was just right, attentive without being too much. The decor is a little dated but it is quiet, cozy and extremely comfortable. One of our favor restaurants!

Always a poppin place the food changes from time to time but definitely worth the wait and time for a inexpensive dinner the bar is always full and once someone leaves its fastly taken. Both locations are exactly the same so thinking you maybe one place and actually be at the 2nd location

Excellent food and service. The salad bar was great as well. For a Friday night, it was busy and noisy. Was hard to have a conversation at our table of 5. I would have preferred a different night where it wasn't as noisy with a crowd.

I love the atmosphere of this well established restaurant! It's warm and inviting. The staff is very friendly and provided top notch service. We loved our meal! The salad bar was fresh and had a lot of variety. My husband had the escargots and I had the prime rib. So very good! Definitely will return!

I am not normally a fan of chains/franchises but this was not bad. Service was great. The food was good. The cocktails were en pointe. Just a bit pricey for what it is imo.

LOVE this place! our waiter, jake, was very friendly and kind and made it a great experience for my family and i. the food was delicious, and reasonably priced, considering the portions, taste, and fancy atmosphere. it was my moms birthday and she got to choose a desert on the house. i ordered two sides for my meal, the lobster mac and cheese and sautéed spinach. the two paired very well together and they were nice portion sizes. i would come back here again.

Amazing food and even better service. Billy was our waiter and was fantastic. Very kind with great recommendations. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the Caesar salad was one of the best I've ever had. Only have good things to say about Sperry's!

Our server Ryan was incredibly attentive and detail oriented, especially for SUCH a crazy busy evening! We have been coming to this Sperry's for years now and I have never seen it so bustling. My husband & son's drinks were replenished seemingly instantly and Ryan was so knowledgeable about the menu, he quite impressed us, never rushed. Our family favorite is coming to Sperry's in Cool Springs and tonight did not disappoint. The most Fantastic crab cakes!!! Perfect, all lump crab. Amazing mustard sauce! Amazing lemon dressing on salad!!!! Perfect combination!!!

I always recommended Sperry's! I had been "waiting" to book my Christmas Eve dinner at Sperry's. The food was great, as usual, as well as the festive atmosphere. Will be back, for sure, for my next upscale dining occasion! Our waitress was great...attentive and professional.

This place never disappoints I had the Alaskan king crab legs. I also had escargot with bread!!! I did not know this place existed, but I must say I will be going there multiple times this place is absolutely yummy!!! the service was wonderful and the ambience is amazing!!! I wanted to get their peppermint ice cream, but I was simply entirely too full, but let me say this. It is still on my mind so I will definitely be going back for peppermint ice cream. I just have to remember not to eat too much.

So...we loved this place so much, we've been two days in a row!! Yesterday we went for lunch, both had the salad bar and I had the French dip and hubby had the club sandwich. Both were amazing (especially the French dip!). Our server, Brock, was very attentive, friendly and accommodating! Tonight we went back for dinner. SUPERB!! We both had French onion soup, salad bar, hubs had prime rib (best we've EVER had), I had the filet mignon and we shared a twice baked potato (also simply amazing) and grilled asparagus. Our server, Laurel, was delightful! When she learned we were from out of state, she filled us in on her local favorite areas and was super friendly! You all have our 's and we'll be back next time we're in Franklin. Thank you!!

This was our 1st time dining at Sperry's and it was well worth the drive. Beautiful interior, server was lovely, food was outstanding and loved the salad bar! Very clean & fireplaces were warm & welcoming. We are glad they are open for lunch & will be back!

Awesome place! I visited Sperry's for the first time, yesterday for Mother's Day. My mom and I have been craving good seafood since we moved here, 2 years ago and Sperry's did not disappoint! In fact, it was some of the best King Crab we've ever had. It was prepared perfectly. Neither of us are big fans of hot crab meat, and the temp was perfect. We ordered the Filet & King Crab. The steak was just as amazing. Seasoned and cooked to perfection. I enjoyed both, equally. Our server, Dre was fantabulous! He knew the menu well and had great recommendations. He gave us VIP service, and made sure we had a great experience. For desert, I had the Espresso Brownie (enough for 2 to share) and my mom had the Crème Brûlée. Both were exceptional. The ambiance is warm and inviting. The interior is decorated in the unique, Tudor-style decor. From what I hear, it's a replica of their original restaurant, located in Belle Meade. You would never know how cool this restaurant is from the outside. Now, I know where to go for excellent surf & turf. I will definitely be back!

This is, hand's down, my favorite place to eat!! My second favorite is Kayne Prime but I think the food here is better and not as expensive. Also Kayne Prime has croutons that are so hard you could chisel a diamond with them. The service is always great, the ambiance reminds me of my childhood and the classy joints my family would go to for special occasions! I love everything about it! The sticky toffee cake is absolutely delicious. Table side bananas foster is always a treat and the drinks are perfect!

Took advantage of their gift card special one morning. But couldn't use it on our anniversary...my husband recently had a few skin cancer spots removed on his head and needs to wear a hat while it heals. They have a "dress code", yes it's in a strip mall. So we had to leave and went to Amerigo where it was just fantastic food and welcoming service. If anyone wants our gift card just message me, we will never go back.

Very nice atmosphere and service was excellent. How waiter was very courteous and always on point with service. The food looked and tasted amazing. Loved the old English pub/ country club vibe. Their Banana foster was to die for, and be revived again for. All dishes were portioned and served hot. We did the brunch.
