"For Indian and Nepalese food in Queens: Maspeth is a neighborhood in Queens rarely mentioned in connection with food, principally because of its isolated location with no subway line. But there are great restaurants there, including Spice Kitchen, which specializes in Indian and Nepalese cuisine. The latter runs to excellent momos and grilled meats served surprisingly with puffed rice, while the former includes tandoori and classic northern Indian curries of meat and vegetables, with a particularly large vegetarian selection. But the dish my friends I and went crazy for was a creamy coconut chicken shot with mustard seeds and curry leaves. All meat halal, and it’s on the same Grand Avenue that starts out in Williamsburg if you want to drive or ride a bike." - Eater Staff

I felt like a VIP when I arrived because I was the only person dining in. I had the whole place to myself. The kitchen was mad busy though, fulfilling what I think would be deliveries. The place was clean and I loved the ambiance. The food was good. I ordered the chicken momo, garlic naan, lambchops and gulab jamun for dessert. They all tasted great. I expected the price to be how Indian restaurants usually are (expensive af) but was pleasantly surprised. I think their pricing is fair. Service was of course top notch (I was the only dine in customer lol). Will definitely come back for more.

Best kept secret! Food is so delightful. Full blast of spices and flavor. Very friendly staff, always accommodating. The coconut chicken dish is one of my favorates. Shrimp Bhuna was exceptional. The garlic naan is unreal. The rice pudding dessert is a must! Great experience.

Usually I don’t leave reviews but the standard of food from spice kitchen was a disgrace. I have ordered from here in the past and the food was beautiful. Unfortunately this time and the time prior the food has been abysmal. I would give this zero stars if I could it was that bad. I gave it one more chance tonight thinking they may have had on off night on my previous order. But I was wrong, this seems to be the new normal for spice kitchen. All the sauces where like water (not even and exaggeration) The korma consisted of 8 pieces of bone in a very very watery sauce. I ordered two portions of French fries at $4.99 per portion. I was totally shocked at the portion size so bad that I counted the amount of fries. The two portions combined had a total of 27 fries. Food was inedible steer clear.

Loved all the food. The spiciness was perfect for me. But most importantly their customer service is very good. I would definitely recommend it to my friends n family.

BEWARE..NEW OWNER!! He's is awful and rude. My order was wrong, Delivery took 1.5 hours. The pics are coconut chicken, it was all bones..no meat. JUST OIL, the consistency was gross. Didn't eat any of it, brought it back to return and get a refund and the "owner" was combative. TERRIBLE FOOD AND SERVICE! Under the old owner it used to be good..NOT ANY MORE

It used to be good place to eat, but recently they either have changed cook or they are cutting on quality. I asked for mild and it came crazy hot, portions were much smaller, it was a total wast of 100$.The lentil soup taste like vinegar mixed with water. I never complaine about the food but this one is really mistake. Also they cut of 10% of discount if you pay cash, no more this time. How they get so many stars if the food is so terrible?

Great food, amazing service, very clean, moderately priced. Extensive vegetarian options filled me up for once. Malai kofta was delicious & plenty of sauce for my onion non bread & veggie samosas.

Lived in this neighborhood for 10+ years and just found out about this place. Super delicious. It is a bit pricier than normal Indian food tho. We got the samosa chaat and lamb saag for takeout. With seamless coupon, we paid $21 with tip.
