Incredible dinner! The Palak Paneer and Garlic Cheese Naan ESPECIALLY deserve a shoutout out as some of the most delicious food we’ve had in a while. Special thanks to our server Veer who was attentive and created a great environment!

Siam Muquit

Google
Very much appreciated that they had an entire vegan section on their menu. Palak tofu and mushroom curry dishes were excellent, as were the puri and cauliflower appetizer. Reasonably priced as well!

The food here is absolutely delicious and full of flavor, all served in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The customer service is top-notch—Amrit, always offers fantastic drink and food recommendations. He, along with the rest of the staff, truly makes the experience outstanding.

Spice Street is a gem of an Indian restaurant in downtown Silver Spring. The setting is serene, and the service is friendly and attentive, without being pushy. The food is great. We’ve been there several times, both for lunch and dinner with friends, who also thought it wonderful. Speaking of lunch, be sure to check out the rotating thali lunch specials—an assortment of small dishes with great tastes in an appealing presentation. The menu is extensive, and the prices are very reasonable, especially for its urban location. There’s been a lot of construction in downtown Silver Spring because of the Purple Line, with lane closures and barriers along Georgia Avenue. But don’t let that keep you from enjoying this restaurant. If you can’t find street parking, Google “Spice Street restaurant parking” to see the nearby parking garage on Dixon Avenue (2 blocks).

Everything about this place was amazing. Veer, the floor manager, was so kind and friendly to us. He also freely accommodated our meals accommodation request, and was all around so helpful. We appreciated him so much! The food was delicious, portion sizes large, and the ambiance of the restaurant vibey, clean, and authentic. 10/10 experience—can’t wait to go back!

From the walk in at the door the service was exceptional. We came in an hour before close and our waiter Veer made sure the food came out hot and in a reasonable time and the bartender even made an appearance at our table with drinks. In all 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Been to this places many times in the past years both dine-in and carry out. Staffs are polite as always. Food is flavorful but if you are expecting the heavily spiced dishes this place might be pretty light for you. However to me they are all wonderful. My go-to dishes are crab Kathi roll (generous portion for crab meat) and Kalimirch Tikka. Their chicken tandoori is good too. Tamarind margarita is sweet and refreshing. Worth to try.

The food was very flavorful! All the food we ate was delicious. Medium spice level was just right. We were there for our anniversary. We made a reservation and mentioned it where it asked what the occasion was. They brought out a wonderful desert with a candle for us. It was so kind and unexpected. Our server Veer was great! Everyone else we interacted with was pleasant as well. I recommend this place and would go back again. I wouldn’t get the mango mojito again.

Yelp
On my way out with my order, Shyam and I held a little conversation about my newfound love for Indian food. Exiting the building, I turned around and expressed that because of our exchange, I bet the food is really good because it feels like you all care about the customers and that it feels like the food is made with love. Well, I think I can claim the great folks at Spice Street as my cousins. I had no idea I'd end up at Spice Street this evening but, I knew I needed something meatless, great in taste and enough to satisfy me. I rolled the dice on two of those. My first time at Spice Street was tonight and I'm glad about it. Happy, even. I didn't know how the food would taste or how much I'd get but, I was super pleased with my entire order...from the initial phone call when I placed my order, right up until the composing of this review! Though I'm new to the world of great Indian food, I have to say that this simple marriage of chickpeas and basmati rice was SUPER good. Keep in mind, our taste buds are all different but, I bet you can't call this nasty or tasteless! So much flavor. Tender. Mad as hell I don't have any left for lunch tomorrow, lol!! Lastly but just as important, THE SPOT IS CLEAN!! You feel the energy and you feel the coziness. I'd say invite someone you like to a good time and enjoy yourselves. My new cousins have it covered! CHANNA MASALA Happy dining!

Yelp
This is a pleasant little place with friendly service. We had heard raves about the thali lunch specials and were eager to try: one of us loves sampler platters! The thali consists of 3 choices of the 6 on offer - these vary depending on the day of the week. Between the two of us we were able to sample all 6 of the Sunday possibilities. Also included is your choice of bread and a small dessert. The consensus: at $16, the thali is good value for money. We ate our fill and still had leftovers to take home. We didn't ooh and aah over the food, but also had no complaints. It's a nice neighborhood option but nothing to cross town for.

Yelp
I am a big fan of Spuce Street! I've been here twice now with family and we have really enjoyed ourselves. Ambiance and service are great! The star is the chicken vinadloo. It has a far more complex flavor then all the other versions I've tried in my many years. I prefer it to the lamb vindaloo, I felt that the chicken was more tender (in my visits at least). The shrimp Tikka was devoured quickly and the chicken makni was also very good. The samosa chaat with chickpeas (not sure if this is the name) was delicious. The mango chaat was also very good. The normal samosas are quite tasty and the fluffy garlic naan is always a must order. My only minor gripe is that the chicken Tikka masala had lots of green bell peppers in it, which changed the flavor profile. Not sure if that's how they normally make it, but it was a little odd, although still polished off in record time. This is my favorite Indian restaurant in DTSS by far!

Sonia K.

Yelp
The memorable part of my experience here was the great service. Our waiter was very attentive and checking in to see if we needed anything. It is a nice clean restaurant inside with plenty of seating. I enjoyed starting off the meal with pani puri and Palak chaat. For our entrees, we feasted on their delicious garlic naan and chicken tikka masala. We ended our experience with falooda, which is one of my favorite Indian desserts. I highly recommend you order it if you have never tried it!

Yelp
Wanting a comforting and warm/welcoming dinner after a day of some productivity and moving into the area, and having walked past Spice Street the night before, we decided on an early dinner given original plans. Things shifted around after our meal, which is irrelevant, but we really enjoyed our dinner. The cocktails were super tasty and the Samosa Chaat was very good. I'd have preferred the sauces to be on the side, but that's a nitpick. It was super flavorful. The crab Kathi roll was new to us (we love Indian food) and was very tasty; it was easily a highlight. the naan and out other bread were very good. We were only given one bowl of rice for our mains: The veggie Korma and Chicken Makhani, but that makes sense and it was a good portion. Both mains were super flavorful and exactly what we wanted. Ambiance was lovely; service was friendly and efficient, although our server was a smidge soft-spoken. 4.5 out of 5 stars. we'll be back!

Yelp
Best Indian food I've had in the DMV area. We got the Bhathi Wali wings to start. I got the lamb vindaloo and my wife got the butter chicken, with sides of garlic naan of course. Everything was fantastic, the meat was tender and the lamb was not game-y at all. Everything was spiced very well and not overly greasy or oily as it can be at other restaurants. I would highly recommend Spice Street to anyone craving Indian food. I think it beat out all the other spots I've been to in Gaithersburg/Rockville by a mile.

LaKisha B.

Yelp
Goodness gracious! My first takeout meal of the year. So good! I was craving some good Indian food and instantly thought about this restaurant but didn't feel like driving soooo I used DoorDash, haha. I ordered the chicken makhani (butter chicken), lamb curry and samosa chaat. The chicken and lamb comes with rice. Really good portion size, tender chicken and lamb, great flavors and very filling. I've been to the restaurant before and can say that the food is consistently good. I took photos but it doesn't show how good the food was. I definitely recommend checking Spice Street out.

Lily S.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday for lunch w a couple of friends. With the exception of a couple other tables, we essentially had the whole place to ourselves. The food was decent. My favorite part of the meal was the garlic cheese naan. I had a lamb dish, while my friends had the chicken masala and the paneer. Everything was good but not great? What really put me off though was they had just mopped before opening so not only did I almost wipe out on the slippery floor but it also reeked of bleach.

James W.

Yelp
Small restaurant that is well decorated with incredibly attentive staff who replaced our plates for every dish. The food is affordable, delicious, and well-seasoned. We ordered the Palaak Chat, Pani Puri, Lamb Curry, Garlic Naan, and Chicken Tikka Masala, as well as the Falooda for dessert. The sauce for the Chicken Tikka Masala was delicious and while everything was well-seasoned, nothing was overly spicy, which I appreciated. Generally, I really appreciated the ambiance of the restaurant. It's a lovely place to dine when in Silver Spring.

Channing D.

Yelp
Food here is so freaking good, I've tried a good portion of the menu now but I always go back to the Lamb Methiwala. 10/10. Tamarind Margarita? 10/10. Moong Daal Halwa? 10/10. I've had great dining in and take out experiences. I've never been inside when there are a bunch of other customers which is great for locals. Crying shame really, this place should be packed all the time with how good the food is but all the better for me.

Jjgg L.

Yelp
Had carry out from Spice Street several times. The food was generally good until we got the Salmon and Shrimp Tandoori($28). My friend said the salmon was good but the shrimp was so salty, it was inedible. I agreed. It was caked in seasoning. It was washed fed to the dog. I informed them via email, no reply. We should have at least received an apology.

Kylie S.

Yelp
I came here for a birthday celebration and our group was all very impressed. Beautiful decor, beautiful music, friendly and prompt service, and really delicious high quality food. Favorite appetizers were the PALAK AUR KHAJOOR KI CHAT and the LASOONI GOBI. The entrees were all delicious, I sampled some of everyone's dishes. They brought us a complementary dessert for the birthday person, I think it was the GULAB JAMUN--it was delicious. Parking was easy, there is a public lot just past the restaurant and to the right.

Ruth D.

Yelp
I came her for Happy Hour and Dinner and had a delectable experience. I had the tamarind margarita which had a fresh, aromatic taste and a sugar rim and it was so good. There was a perfect balance of delicious taste and expected strength from an alcoholic beverage. For an appetizer, I had the wings which were hot and delicious out the oven with a smokey taste. Then I got garlic naan with the chicken tiki masala and it was well seasoned and so flavorful. Your taste buds will be happy. I enjoyed the customer service and thought they were kind and attentive. I recommend coming to eat here and I can see myself coming back here.

Tara W.

Yelp
Lamb biryani was kind of dry, not much spice and no yogurt sauce was given. I wanted to smell the strong spices when I removed the lid from my food;but it didn't happen.

Alexis B.

Yelp
Great spot for date night and girls night! Great prices for bottles of wine and even better food! Tikka masala was great and lamb curry looked good as well! Naan was soooo freshhhh and amazing. The kheer was great topped with pistachios and the cardamom was great (I would ask for it a little warmed it will be even better! We Will be back!

Da K.

Yelp
We came for dinner on a Monday night, and it wasn't busy at all. We were seated at a booth, and the ambiance was so beautiful -- the dimmed lights and candle makes the place perfect for a date night. We ordered the chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and lamb biryani. Everything was so delicious, and it was very filling for our table of two. I loved the white sauce that came with the lamb biryani! The server was also very kind. When we weren't sure of what to order and had questions about the menu, he was very patient and knowledgeable. Overall, solid Indian food!

Tom T.

Yelp
I have to admit that I'm a little worried about this place. The food is amazing, the location is great, the prices are totally reasonable and yet during a weekday lunch there were only three tables filled. Come on people! I had the Tandoori Murg which is basically a half tandoori chicken and it was literally flawless. The cook, the flavor, the texture...all of it. This isn't one of those places that fakes their tandoori...they've got the oven in the back and they're not afraid to use it! The naan is just the way I like it. Not crunchy but with a little char on it - it tears apart but isn't chewy. Yum! The lunch special which my friend had was a steal. Three dishes, an order of naan and a dessert (Kheer...YUMMO!!!). This is the perfect midday lunch for the working Joe (or Josephine). The service and people were super nice and the decor is relaxing. I just don't get why this place isn't packed all-the-time! Please check this place out and spread the gospel about their excellence. I would hate to see them disappear.

Yelp
Finally a good Indian restaurant in Silver Spring. It's quality food that can appeal to both desi and non desi folks which is a huge win. The interior is fantastic and does an amazing use of space with 2 levels for seating. Gives a fancy vibe so atypical for this area. This place doesn't do buffets (thankfully) but has a lunch thali on its offering. The selection is nice and they rotate it often. On the day I went, there was fish, chicken makhani and palak paneer. The portions were decent and I'm full. Chicken was tender. Fish was fresh. Palak was flavorful. Lunch Thali is available on weekdays as well as weekends. One important note. The spice level is not too high. But that's not a negative here at all. Parking garage is a couple of blocks away. Restrooms are clean. Final word. Definitely checkout.

Yelp
Consistently great food, great service, fresh food, good space, check out the chaats

Yelp
We LOVED it! Not your typical Indian restaurant. There are lots of unusual dishes to choose from. Very good food. Very good service.

Marcus H.

Yelp
We've visited this place twice and it impressed both times. They'll definitely see me again for lunch, the thali plate was everything I needed. The service was fast and friendly, you'll be greeted with a smile at all times . Highly recommend you give this place a try.

Julia N.

Yelp
I'm so glad to have found this spot in silver spring! My thali was delicious and I will be making my way back on different days of the week to try their variations. Each dish was flavorful and fresh, I was especially pleasantly surprised by the mushroom matar. The mushrooms were cooked to perfection! I also really enjoyed my lachha paratha. It's the first one I've had since returning from Lucknow and it didn't disappoint! It was perfectly flaky (not greasy) and savory. The service was also excellent. The waiters were kind and attentive and the restaurant has a comfortable, evening atmosphere...plush booths and dimmed lighting, would be good for those looking for a date night spot. I'll happily make the track from NW DC to enjoy this meal close to the Silver Spring station!

Brit M.

Yelp
Being stuck at Holy Cross Hospital for awhile, we were over the hospital food. I wanted something delicious and decent to eat. Spice Street saved the day! I've tried a few Indian spots and this one is definitely one of my new favorites! The naan and garlic naan is probably some of the best naan I've had. Very soft and well flavored. I also tried the palak tofu and palak chickpea dish (I might have the names wrong). Both were delicious. Definitely will keep this place in mind next time I'm in Silver Spring.

Nadi N.

Yelp
Amazing Indian food! We came in Easter Sunday for lunch. Ended up eating the lunch special. We all chose the chicken curry, lamb korma and either channa, spinach or mushroom with garlic Naan and rice. Woooo! Everything was SOOO FLAVORFUL!! The lamb was really soft and moist and seasoned perfectly. The chicken curry was perfect and tender as well. And the Garlic Naan was the best I've had in the DMV area!! Mann this place is good. My husband had the mango lassi and it was perfectly balanced between the mango and yogurt. The gulab jamun was great as well. Ambiance and service were on point. We'll be coming back for dinner!

Carol B.

Yelp
Great food and service Gotta try the crispy spinach appetizer Waitstaff very helpful if you need suggestions All we've tried is delicious Nice ambiance and decor

Karen P.

Yelp
Found a new favorite Indian Restaurant! Everything was so tasty. Got the salmon and shrimp in the tandoori oven and salmon was so tender. The chicken vindaloo was spicy as advertised boy not crazy spicy. But ... the green sauce on the side that came with the salmon was hot enough to make you sweat. I thought the Brussel sprouts were yummy as well as the garlic naan. We will be back.

Hitakshi S.

Yelp
We were very excited to have an Indian restaurant near us. Went there and tried a few different appetizers and a couple of drinks. The food wasn't as good as we expected. The Bombay Sandwich was a favorite, but was too oily for us. Weren't huge fans of chole bhature or the cauliflower as they were just okay tasting. The wings were flavorful, but again too oily. Their service was great - the lady helping us with our order was so nice! Their drinks were also good - highly recommend trying them!

Chris L.

Yelp
Girlfriend and I wanted to try something new. We came across spice street and never had Indian food before. Service was amazing and food was excellent. We had the chicken curry and chicken makhani with garlic naan bread. All the food was amazing and would definitely recommend to try this place out.

Cordero G.

Yelp
Food was great, had all same authentic flavors you'd expect. Serving size was decent. Some items are a bit more overpriced than others like their vegetarian/vegan dishes. Lamb dishes a bit overpriced as well for serving.

Naomi L.

Yelp
Honestly didn't like this place. The chai tasted really off and developed an unappealing film on top right away. We had the lunch special with chana masala, daal makhani, palak chana, mixed veg, and lamb curry between the two of us. None of it was memorable, or even that good while eating it. I don't think we'll be going back.

Chintan D.

Yelp
I was super excited to go here just by looking at their menu. Pani Puri and Pav Bhaji attracted me but I was thoroughly disappointed. My main reason for the two star is as below. - Pani Puri was stale and had no crisp to it. The potato chana filling was overly salty, and very very cold along with the cold puri. The two flavored waters were decent. Overall this started it on a bad note because we picked this place just to get some pani puri; wife was craving it. - Pav bhaji just tasted weird. Not sure if they used canned tomato/paste or just missing critical spices, but it was not a true representation of a classic Bombay Pav Bhaji. Then the pav themselves were old and hard as a rock. You would want pav to be buttered and warmed with the inside and outside crisped but still fully soft. Our Pav were totally hard as a brick and we couldn't even feed it to my toddler. - Brussel Sprouts Chaat was the only highlight of the meal for me as they were crispy and freshly fried with balanced chaat flavors and chutneys. - Paneer Tikka appetizer was good with one exception, only three cubes of paneer. For that price I expected to have five pieces at least. But this was an overall theme. - Shahi Paneer was extremely mild, bland, and little more watery gravy than I would like. Mixing it with rice, felt slightly like mixing spiced water with rice. - Garlic cheese naan was good except not that much cheese. In fact, I couldn't tell if it was just regular garlic naan. But at least the flavor and softness was on point. - Drinks were good. Kuchumbar cooler was refreshing, Virgin Mohito wasn't overly citrusy, and Mango Lassi was good on portion size. - Customer service was good. No complaints there. I had a reservation and had asked for a high chair and they accommodated as expected. There was May be one more table during my visit so there was enough time for the kitchen to perfect my dinner but with the lack of overall flavors, stale food, and small portions, I have to give this two stars. Two stars are earned from the good drinks that I tasted and the great server we had.

Ina S.

Yelp
Exceptionally great food and good ambience. Loved everything we ordered. We Authentic taste.

Esha P.

Yelp
As someone with high standards for Indian and Punjabi food I very much appreciated Spice Street! Food - the food was excellent. We ordered the eggplant chat which was perfectly crispy and the sauce didn't make it soggy, the lasooni gobi which was wonderfully seasoned both the cauliflower filling and the sauce wasn't too overwhelmingly garlicky, the chole bhatura, shahi paneer, garlic naan and lacha paratha. The chole bhatura and shahi paneer we ordered as medium spicy and it lived it. It was the perfect level of spice. Both were very flavorful. The bhatura was fried perfectly. The only comment I will make is that one piece of the garlic naan was a little undercooked and they weren't able to accommodate adjustments including making a chili naan. We ordered rose Falooda for dessert which was wonderful; the ice cream base was like kulfi with nuts and was delicious. We had enough for 2 meals worth leftovers so ample serving size too. Well worth the price. Staff - the staff was very attentive and refilled our water without being asked, they answered questions about the dishes and gave recommendations since it was our first time here. Ambience - very cute, well kept, seating near the window is a plus! Overall - would definitely come back! Perfect after a late day of work or cold day!

Sami A.

Yelp
This place was mediocre at best. We got a few things to go and we were so disappointed by the portion sizes!! They were so small for how much we paid, incredibly overpriced. The samosa chaat was so bland - normally, samosa chaat is supposed to have a few different toppings (yogurt, tamarind/mint chutney, red onions, cilantro etc.)....it barely had any of the toppings. It was just a mashed up samosa with some chickpeas. We also got the pani puris, which was very bland. The puris were so stale and not crunchy at all. The liquids were lacking flavor. The tandoori wings were okay..but again, 4 small wings for $8! Mango lassi was decent - but it's hard to mess up mango lassi. Pretty disappointed :(

Sarah R.

Yelp
I have ordered delivery from Spice Street twice and eaten in once. For a business named Spice Street I find most dishes lacking in flavor. Both times I ordered delivery the portions were small, cold, and late. My delivery today included Palak Aur Kajoor Ki Chat, naan, and Gulab Jamun along with a Lamb Korma entree - for an entree at $18, the rice only filled the container 2/3 of the way and the entree was in the same size container! What a rip off. I also received more cutlery than I did food... My in person experience I had a Thali which included several tastings of entrees and a dessert. I agree with my previous statement that the meal was sub-par. The flavors are reminiscent of that of a food court. Overall I'm disappointed and will not order from Spice Street again.

Dave L.

Yelp
I had dinner at Spice Street last night for the first time. I was very impressed with how fresh the food tasted. I had Chicken Tikka Masala and Naan. The service was friendly and helpful. I look forward to returning to Spice Street in the future.

Ms R.

Yelp
Delicious food, good service, and friendly staff. I love that they offer many vegan options too. This is our go-to restaurant in silver spring.

Tania A.

Yelp
The COVID guidelines and service were all top notch! The venue is decorated really nicely- it's got a modern feel with an Indian twist. That same vibe with the decor continues throughout the menu with the food options!!! Yumm, yumm, yumm!!! The food was delicious... With some traditional dishes and some fusion. I will definitely be back to sample more from the menu.

Andre P.

Yelp
Best Indian food I've ever had. The restaurant opened during the pandemic and we were the only eat-in diners and the owner waited on us and treated us like royalty. Such a great experience. Everything is new and definitely worth trying.

Hiral D.

Yelp
Wonderful new addition to the neighborhood and friendly staff. We even got free naan. I'm giving four stars (almost five) because I have high hopes for this spot in downtown Silver Spring. I like the swanky and industrial interior - this makes me hopeful for the post COVID world where I can bring visitors here for a large meal or light snack. There are plenty of options for all diets and preferences. Opening night was a bit rough - it seemed like all of Silver Spring was waiting inside Spice Street for their take out order. They were super busy (which is both good and bad). The staff was patient and tried their best to please everyone. We ended up waiting over an hour, however in all fairness they tried to call me around the time my order would have been ready for pick up. I was already walking over and should have anticipated a wait but did not hear the call. Perhaps there can be some sort of text update added for when the food is ready for pick up. The food was good, but there's always room for improvement. We got the eggplant chat, mushroom malai, paneer kati roll, kalimirch tikka, and manchurian. The egglpant chaat and kalimirch tikka (chicken cubes with black peppers) were good, but not our favorite. I was expecting the eggplant chat to be a bit crispier, like other chaat I've had before. The food was a bit oily, but I still enjoyed the manchurian, kati roll and mushroom curry. I recommend it and I'd get it again. Looking forward to next time when I can try the pani puri and pav bhajji. Just a note on the menu - the "v" is for vegan, but there are other dishes that are vegetarian if you eat cheese that I enjoyed such as the paneer kati roll.

Christina M.

Yelp
Great chicken wings, rice and naan. The Tumeric drink was great as well. The other Indian dishes tasted less authentic and not as flavorful but tat could be because the chef is newer and from South America not Indian. He still makes great tandoori so don't let that stop you from going in. Nice kids serving who were helpful and attentive.

Colleen H.

Yelp
Spice Street is my go to for Indian food. It is fast and easy and has excellent food. My favorite thing on their menu is their garlic naan! If you sign up for their emails, they occasionally send coupons which is such a nice perk!

Anye S.

Yelp
Actual rating is about a 3.5 but rounding up for nice "date night" ambience and really good palak chaat. We're quickly finding out that as a whole, people in MD have no spice tolerance and the restaurants are catering to that. Almost every Indian and Thai restaurant we've been to has had no detectable heat to any of their dishes (even when labeled "medium spicy"), and Spice Street was no exception to this trend. I'm not exactly one of those "I will suck down this bottle of hot sauce to prove my manliness types" especially given total absence of Y chromosomes, but I've found that you have to have SOME heat to your curry for it to have full flavor. A former chef explained it by saying most places pre-mix the spices for each dish, so if you say you want less heat - you get less of ALL the spices and ergo less flavor. Well, here, they didn't ask how spicy we wanted it, and boy was it not spicy. We ordered the chicken korma (usually not super spicy anyway) and lamb methiwala. The chicken korma was very sweet and creamy, but not spicy. The lamb methiwala had so much potential in its flavor profile but just not enough intensity. I was hoping that by taking home the leftovers and letting them marry, they'd build up a bit - but the next day they tasted roughly the same. I had them along side a homemade lamb & goat curry that had so much more "oomph" to it....sigh. For drinks, I had a rose lassi. I am a *sucker* for rose. The lassi was pink, but I could barely taste the rose. I think the yogurt just overwhelmed it. Hubby had a cocktail, I forgot which one, and he really liked it. Overall, the palak chaat was the winner - it wasn't spicy either, but didn't need to be with the dates and the tamarind paste giving it flavor and the flash-fried spinach giving it crunch. If we come back, I'm going to ask for the curries to be spicier and see if that helps. Both of them had potential but just seemed a little washed out compared to what they could have been. Subtle is good for innuendo but I like my curries strong, like my coffee and my personality!

K G.

Yelp
We are parents of two young children and rarely get a date night. Tonight we finally got a night out - we decided to spend it here and were very disappointed. We'd reserved a table but, despite that, they did not have one available when we arrived so we decided to sit at the bar. Service was not attentive. We ordered several appetizers and chats - the Brussels sprouts chat was good but the other dishes were lackluster. We also ordered the masala lassi - they were out of it so we got the rose lassi instead, which was barely drinkable. Recommend going elsewhere for a nice night out, especially if you don't get one often.

Yelp
The people who staff the restaurant are so nice. Spice Street (Silver Spring) smells good and the temperature inside is comfortable-- not too hot and not too cold, like the food! I really like it here. Today was not first time and surely won't be my last.

Yelp
My fiancé live in the other Solaire building at 1150 Ripley and we're excited to see a new restaurant at the new building. We were hoping it would be open around election night to honor Biden/Harris but it was not open yet. However, it did open just in time for inauguration and we got their delicious food then. We ordered another time since and then went in person about a week ago when my dad was in town. To drink my fiancé and I had a mango lassi. To eat we shared curry naan, an apple mango chat, a salmon dish, and a lamb dish. I don't remember the exact ones and the menu is different online but everything we've had here is amazing! I'd certainly recommend eating, doing carry out, or delivery from here. We look forward to returning and trying other menu items.

Yelp
Excellent. I feel a little guilty writing a review on take out but I'm in town visiting in laws and going to the restaurant wasn't in the cards. Everything was delivered piping hot and absolutely delicious. I won't into boring details here on everything, however we ordered several starters / appetizers and entrees and everything was spot on perfect and among the best I've had anywhere. All the reviews (which is how I found this place) are right. Amazing spot in Silver Spring and probably the best food I've had here in my many visits. Will definitely come back next time.

Yelp
I decided to try some restaurants in Silver Spring. I was craving Indian, so I gave Spice Street a try. I am so glad I did. It is a beautiful space, with good food, and helpful staff. I will definitely try some of the other things on the menu. I had Palak Paneer, one of my favorites!

Yelp
Had a great dinner here. I have to come back for the mushroom vegetarian dish and more of the dessert menu. Mango lassi was good too. I'm really happy I went here!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I got spice street to go and we forgot to take picture but it was such a delicious meal. We both got the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan and it was very flavorful and cooked to perfection. We were feeling pretty drained after a long week but we wish we had sat down to eat there because the space itself looked really fun and the place smelled delicious We would definitely come back here !
