Amazing Sichuan food! Every dish was full of flavor, perfectly spicy, and authentic. The mapo tofu and dry-fried green beans were especially delicious. Definitely one of the best Sichuan restaurants I’ve tried in the area!

Low key my favorite sichuan food in town. Spicy, numbing with great portion and price. As someone from Sichuan, I have really picky taste on all Sichuan food. To be honest and sad, only very few restaurants can be called authentic in the city of Seattle and this one definitely the one on the top of the list. The snail, taro beef and duck blood just amazing. My husband also really enjoys the fried fish, cold noodles and pork stomach. Always feels like back to China when I visit this place. Love it!! Warning: this place is really spicy and numbing, please be aware when you ordering and ask for adjustments if needed. Cons: can't stop eating rich because the foods are too good. Always gain few pounds after dinner here.

We came here for dinner on a Sat. They had spicy Sichuan dishes, very delicious! They went well with some rice. The staff was friendly and attentive. The interiors were nice and clean. Parking was easy as there was a parking lot. Will def come here again.

This is the place I go when I'm craving something spicy. As the name suggests, the food here is mostly spicy. If you're not used to spicy food, I'd recommend trying a little first, or you might get a stomach ache. The service is okay, don't expect too much, but I appreciate how they pack your leftovers for you. The portions are big and the prices are cheap, which is great. I absolutely love the Spicy Crispy Chicken Gristles. Overall, highly recommended for anyone who loves spicy food!

We recently started ordering the steamed pork ribs with sticky rice and we love it! Besides that dish, we like to get the twice cooked pork, seafood with tofu in casserole, and stir fried pea vine with garlic. It gets pretty busy around meal times so we usually do wait a bit before being seated.

We've had takeout a few more times and haven't been disappointed. Our guests have also enjoyed the experience and, so far, every person has asked where we got the food. Prices haven't changed in the last six months, which is nice. A couple of our kids can't handle any spice, which we thought would be an obstacle. They've both requested the Chow Mein (Beef and House Special, both $12.99) for their special birthday meals, so that's a good indicator of how it landed. With hearty noodles, a decent amount of protein, and a total lack of spice, it's a perfect addition for spice-sensitive guests. It's a pretty long drive for us, but it's been worth it every time.

Friends has been recommending this spicy Chinese restaurant and finally got a chance to try. Unfortunately this place disappointed me on my first impression. Overall foods are all oily and sooo salty. But not bad to go with rice. Spicy level is not that hot as I expected. I was so full in the end by having so much rice and water cuz it's so salty. Service is another disappointing part. Feeling being rushed and there's not much service involve. Last call at 8 but you can tell the staffs really want to leave already and all the chefs were eating at dining area already. Servers keeps cleaning while we are eating. They don't let us order drinks because they are too busy and suggested us to order bottled beverages. The next morning all of us got bad stomach and had diarrhea. Overall experience was not as good as I expected and might not come back unless if necessary.

Had a nice big family style meal here on fourth of july. We ordered a bunch of items and they were all solid. A surprising hit was the eggplant with preserved egg. It came out in this huge mortar and pestle thing and was delicious. Not something I've had before but now I'll be looking for it on other menus. I also really liked the toothpick lamb and the spicy boiled beef. The crispy chicken with chili peppers was good, the assorted dry pot was fine - i did like that there was so much variety in it though, the fish fragrant eggplant had a little too much of some taste I didn't like as much and we also got rice cake with brown sugar which was very tasty. The eight of us left every plate clean.

food is just ok. but service is terrible. my wife ask to pay and skip the tip. she wants to tip in cash. after he saw her skip tip.he started yelling at my wife. his face is so angry not respect and not polite at all. 1 start for service. we would not recommend and never come back this place just because the service.

Had a quick takeout here recently. Had walked past this restaurant a few times while shopping at the Asian grocery and finally stopped in. Lots of spicy choices, would definitely get a few of those next visit. This time I picked Sichuan dan dan noodles, which was slightly soupy but thickened into a tasty base. Greens complimented the meat and noodles. I also got Sauteed Shredded Pork with Sweet Bean Sauce. I thought it was a bit pricey (close to $20) but it turned out to be a huge family sized portion. Very delicious with sliced scallions on top. Would get this again. I got lots of meals out of this. DanDan back in the Philly area could learn about spice and portion sizes from this place. Parking is in a shared strip mall lot off Aurora Ave. Return: Yes.

I love Sichuan food and I am so glad I found this place. Amazing food and really nice service. We went just before the dinner rush on Friday and were seated right away. All of the menu had picture with it which made it really easy for us to understand what we were ordering. Garlic eggplant was flavorful without being super salty. Dan dan noodle was a bit overdone. Noodles were bit soggy but I liked that it had a lot of condiments on it. Spicy boiled fish was great! Not too spicy with great flavors. Peavines was also on point! Will definitely go back (though we will pass on the noodles next time) and try other dishes. Looking forward to trying Chongqing chicken and mapo tofu next time.

I've been to this place a few times now, and every visit leaves me with a deliciously satisfying experience. What I love is that it's located inside an Asian grocery market, making it a convenient spot to get some comforting Chinese cuisine after picking up groceries. Plus, their menu with pictures of almost every dish makes ordering way easier! My go-to is the Sautéed Diced Chicken with Chili Pepper. If you're craving something spicy and fried, this dish hits the spot every time! They even offer both boneless and bone-in options. Then there's the Pork Belly with Steamed Buns, a nice dish for those who prefer their food less fiery. The pork belly is melt-in-your-mouth tender with flavorful soy sauce. Pairing it with the soft steamed bun tastes even more delicious! Among my other favorites are the Braised Beef with Taro and Peppers, Stir-Fried Pea-Vine with Garlic, and Shredded Pork with Spicy Garlic Sauce. The Braised Beef dish is particularly intriguing, with its tender beef mingling with taro and roasted pepper. While the restaurant has some cute decor, and the friendly staff who always offer to pack up our leftovers. I will go back and explore more of their mouthwatering dishes!

In a nutshell this place has Authentic chuan cai! Or Sichuanese food. But beware that means spicy in a way that non Chinese like me might find it difficult to enjoy because while it's somewhat spicy hot in flavor 辣 la, mainly it's the 麻 ma flavor that gives the uninitiated problems. Ma can mean several things: numbing/anesthesia, sesame seeds, marijuana, even acne! If you think about it you can see the connection. Marijuana is sorta numbing and the seeds look like sesame seeds and also like zits. The well known dish mapo doufu literally means acne faced old woman. A refugee woman with acne once sold this dish on Shanghai street corners just before Japan occupied the city. Second the portions are large! Huge. You probably will have lots of leftovers which is great with me because my favorite food in the world is hui fan 烩饭, a mixture of rice and leftovers simmered with water for awhile. Chuan cai makes the very best huifan! Finally my only real complaint is the menu doesn't include many of my favorite dishes, like 夫妻肺片 fuqifeipian, 椒盐虾 jiaoyanxia, 宫爆鱼 gongbaoyu. Service is functional not personal. Ambience is not particularly inviting but okay. The place was pretty busy when we were there. However I probably won't return because I would want to order dishes not on their menu.

SO authentic, SO spicy and numbing, SO tasty!!! Not for the faint of heart or stomach. You will feel the consequences later, but to my family and I ... it's worth :P They have variety of non-spicy options as well, so don't be deterred if you're not fond of spice. Spicy boiled fish is a must, eggplant with garlic sauce is a classic, any dry pot is delicious, twice cooked pork is great, and pepper stir fried pork stomach for the spiciest of fiends. You can ask for less spice, less salty, etc. Sometimes have to wave down / chase a waiter down to order or for the check, which is not unexpected at a Chinese place. We always take leftovers home, mellowing flavors by adding stir-fried veggies for some meal mitosis. Overall, fast service, no frills spot dishing up fantastically authentic and delicious Sichuan food with large servings. This is the perfect place to start increasing your spice tolerance. FYI: Bathroom is public restroom shared with rest of Asian Family Mart, etc. down a hallway between indoor restaurant entrance and grocery portion.

Like Chengdu favorite restaurant. Amazingly delicious chili fish with rich flavor of mala and black bean with plenty of garlic. I officially proclaim this place the best spicy chili fish in the Greater Seattle Area. Check it out if you are into spicy.

Service was great, polite and the spacing of the tables was good to fit a small-medium party. Not too long of a wait. We got the twice cooked pork and seafood casserole both were good but the pork had something addicting about it would definitely come back for it! Price itself wasn't too bad either.

Group of 10 for dinner -- excellent value at below $20/person! Ambience - 7/10 -- Medium sized Chinese restaurant, well-spaced tables. Restrooms are outside the restaurant, inside the shopping center Service - 9/10 -- food served quickly, had tea and hot water readily available Quality - 8/10 -- I didn't take any notes so these are my memories several days later. I recall some dishes were slightly salty, but that was easily drowned out by the many spicy dishes we ordered. (half of us didn't get any rice) House Special soup -- clear broth containing many pork bones and large soft peanuts. our party weren't used to the bones so didn't finish that part. The soup was very good though, would highly recommend. Value - 10/10 -- I was very full and it came out to below $20 per person AFTER tax+tip (16% auto-charged for large groups). Overall - 9/10

Sichuan restaurant in front of the Asian Family Mart on Aurora Ave. This place replaced the Saukraut Fish restaurant. Opened this year and had a bit of a hype period where it was a bit hard to get a table for lunch on the weekends since the space is small. We showed up early and managed to get a table on our second attempt. Menu is sizable and has both spicy and non-spicy choices, but of course most people are probably here for the spicy stuff. Tried the taro beef which is one of their signature dishes. It's beef and taro cooked in a savory spicy broth that becomes thick due to the taro. I liked the flavor and the combination of the thick savory broth with the spice. We also got the pepper stir fried pig stomach. Good flavor to that as well, and the pig stomach pieces had a bit of the crunch. Unfortunately I have braces so that made chewing the pieces a little less enjoyable, but otherwise another solid dish. The place is worth trying if you can get a table.

SO SO GOOOOD!! Authentic dishes and great service! I am already so excited for my next visit. I recommend the fried egg plant and peppers with preserved eggs! Honestly all the dishes we ate were super. The waiter was so kind and helped us pick out their most unique and popular dishes. They were very attentive and helped us refill our water almost right away once they saw it was running low, which is important especially when the meal is spicy. Highly recommend if you like spicy!

Very authentic and excellent Sichuan food. Everyone eating at the restaurant when I picked up our takeout order was Asian and their food looked scrumptious. This place is packed, too

Ordered house fried rice, seafood casserole, spicy pork stir fry, and pig face meat. Another 4.5 stars, it's close in quality to nearby tian fu. The pork stir fry was spicy but had a flavorful sweet aftertaste. Kids loved the tofu in the casserole. Definitely will come again next time.

This is a cute eatery in the Asian family market building. We got seated right away and they have pictures for all of their menu items. Their portion sizes were also very very large. We (me and one other person) got two things to share and had a lot of left overs. The food is authentic, right amount of spice to numbing balance. Would go back to try other foods and bring more people so we can have more options.

I got the eggplant, pepper and preserved egg dish as a takeout order. The seasoning was quite nice, but the vegetables were very mushy. I was a bit disappointed after all of the glowing reviews of the dish.

Mostly legit! Came here with two of my friends who lived in Chongqing. We ordered the twice cooked pork, napa cabbage with soybeans and boiled chicken in chili oil. Twice cooked pork was the most legit and had lots of cut green chilies with it. Very salty so it was a good thing we ordered rice. Napa cabbage with fermented soybeans wasn't spicy at all but the saltiness was just right. The boiled chicken in chili oil was mild spicy.

I got the pork belly stir fry with vegetables to go the pork belly was old and dry even though it was mixed with vegetables I wanted to try this place out since I saw it on Yelp, I don't know if it's me? Yea I know it's not me I been cooking for the last 45 years and I tell you 9 out of 10 times I get a Togo order there's no love in the food which really upset me all my money I spent basically on cabbage what a waste l will never go back there maybe that's what they wanted from a different type of person

This place is SO authentic, you'll find dishes here that you won't find anywhere else in the city. They have stir fried duck blood, rabbit, the most amazing spicy seasonal dishes. My personal favorite is the celtuce with pork. I had no idea what celtuce is but me and my group were blown away. We ordered it because the waiter suggested it to us. He told us it looks ugly but is surprisingly very good lol! For dessert, get the rice cakes in brown sugar!! They're freshly cooked and fried. Soooo chewy and delicious. Great if you like a mochi with a fried crispy crust slathered in syrup. Fantastic spot, VERY spicy.

Truly impress with the quality of food in this place. It located inside the Asian food market, space is small therefore might need to wait. Loved all the food that we order. One of my go to Sichuan restaurant in north area! Food is super delicious and the portion is quite generous. The restaurant opens from 5-8p on weekdays and it can get super busy. I really like their hot foods but the cold dishes are not that superb.

The food taste great! And then I had 10+ diarrhea in the afternoon and night after having lunch, also fever at night and vomiting. Being sick for the following week with no appetite and stomach upset. Called the restaurant, they said I cannot proof I got sick because of their food.

one of my favorite chinese restaurants in seattle! have ordered takeout from them twice since the waitlist can get pretty long for in-person dining (small restaurant space). it still takes approx. 30 minutes for takeout, so something to keep in mind. it's a little on the expensive side (approx. $70-80 for 4 dishes after tax/tip) but we really love the mala spice in their dishes and everything is seasoned well. last time we ordered the braised beef noodle soup (tendon wasn't cooked for long enough but other than that it was great), pork with garlic sauce, pork belly w/ steamed buns, and the stir fried cabbage. can't wait to go back!

A restaurant right in front of the Asian family market. Did 2 for a weekend dinner and the waitlist took an hour so it was a perfect time to do some grocery shopping. Anyways a Seattle 5 star but LA 4. It's no sichuan impressions but its not bad at all. The mala flavor is strong but not overbearing. I'm a fan of the boiled fish (水煮鱼) with tofu here and the green beans. Would definitely come back and try some of the other dishes.

My fav Sichuan place in Seattle. The portions are enormous and the flavors are so on point and SPICY. Prepare your body before coming here because it will hurt so good. Get the chongqing noodles and the boiled fish fillet.

I'm surprised no one has reviewed this place yet as there's many reviews on Google. If you go through the reviews on Google you can tell that the reviews are very split and has been review bombed so I wanted to give a neutral review here. Came here for lunch on a Saturday. This place is really busy and there were several people om the wait list infront of us. This restaurant does close for an hour or two during lunch. We arrived an hour before their break, wasn't sure if we were able to eat there but we managed to get in before last call. Ordered the Dou Hua fish and dry pot cauliflower. Service here is very nice and food comes out rather quickly. Portions are also decent. Dou Hua fish had generous amounts of fish and tofu in it. I think overall the flavor was good but compared to other restaurants it seemed a little watered down. Could definitely be more flavorful. The dry pot cauliflower was nice and savory. And the pork slices in it were very tender unlike some places. The cauliflower wasn't overcooked and had a good bite to it. Both of the dishes go great over rice. I think prices are fair and for Sichuan food this is definitely a decent place to go to satisfy your cravings. This is still a relatively new business and I am wishing them the best!

Don't come here! Nothing good to say. Everything is overpriced compared to other Chinese restaurants. The place did not look appealing.

I love this restaurant now. My favorite food was a cold dishes noodle, so good. And another foods was very good too. Service was very nice.

My husband and I randomly found this place after visiting the SSA office on a Friday afternoon. Turns out they just opened about a month or so ago. We took quite some time looking over the menu and asked the server for recommendations. He left and we didn't see him for a long time, maybe 10 minutes or so. We made eye contact with several others who I think alerted him. After taking our order, the food came out quickly. Both were delicious and piping hot. We ordered the braised beef with taro and peppers and the cauliflower dry pot. The beef dish was very good but very spicy. The sauce in the cauliflower dish was definitely the star of the dish. All in all, a great meal and lots of leftovers.

Favorite Chinese cuisine in Seattle ! My favorite dish is Zhang Cha Ya (樟茶鸭）火爆猪腰和香辣鸡脆骨也非常好吃！

I got the Spicy Crispy Chicken Gristles. I didn't notice it at the time, until it gave me food poisoning hours later and made me vomit really bad, but the chicken was raw.
